Great location There was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom

Really central. Wanted to maximise my time in the city so location was priority. There was a smell from the drains coming from the bathroom but keeping the door closed helped enormously

I absolutely loved being on a normal bed and pillow. Many places have put foam beds and mattresses but here it’s more comfortable in my opinion. The staff are lovely and the lift works well. The tv had a couple of English language channels which is also hard to find in Barcelona. Best of all was the location. Very central with so many shops and cafes around. A great part of Barcelona to stay and the place felt very safe with the reception always there 24 hours. A simple place that was spacious and with good storage for your things. We would book again to stay at Hotel Pelayo. Not having a fridge in the room was the only negative. A fridge and microwave in the reception for guests would be a great upgrade for this hotel.

clean, window in bedrrom, TV (not smart TV), good wifi Is a hotel inside a flat like a pension so most rooms door are in reception. areception is NOISY all the times even at night and receptionists speak on a HIGH VOICE and have LONG conversations, like if they ignore there is people sleeping right next door. Also, we had to pay extra 30 cash for early check in, they make NO EXCEPTIONS to any circumstance, but we had to make exception for our NOISY night. I did NOT sleep at all. I do NOT recommend.

The location is very good. Close to the Ramblas other attractions and shopping strip. Two of the reception staff were helpful, approachable and friendly. One reception person was the total opposite. It should advertise that people must navigate stairs to get to the lift and to some rooms there are a number of stairs to climb which potentially cause some harm.
