Excellent hotel, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Good choice of restaurants and good facilities. Rooftop swimming pool was nice although a little small. Excellent views from the rooftop restaurant. Surprised the hotel chooses to charge guests for the indoor swimming pool.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the InterContinental Barcelona. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and all the essential amenities are provided. The breakfast buffet is good and offers enough variety, although I would not consider it exceptional. Service was generally very good, though not particularly memorable. We arrived late to the restaurant on our first day, and while some staff members were very helpful, others seemed less welcoming. To be fair, we arrived close to the end of service, so I understand their position. The restaurant supervisor, however, was kind enough to make sure we had the basic items we needed, which we appreciated. Cleanliness was acceptable but could be improved. I noticed some dirt on the carpet in the room, and the in room coffee machine stopped working after the second use. Overall, the hotel delivers a comfortable stay with good service and solid facilities. While there were a few minor issues, I did not have any major complaints and would consider staying here again. Cleanliness was acceptable but could be improved. I noticed some dirt on the carpet in the room, and the in room coffee machine stopped working after the second use.

Four nights at the InterContinental Barcelona, and we would have gladly stayed four more. Everything about this hotel delivered, from the moment we checked in to the moment we reluctantly checked out. Breakfast was excellent — a great way to start each day before heading out to explore the city. The location is spot on: well-connected, convenient, and perfectly placed for both sightseeing and dining out in the evening. But the real showstopper is the rooftop bar. The views, the atmosphere, the drinks — it all comes together beautifully. We ended up there every single evening, and honestly it never got old. It’s the kind of place that makes you fall a little more in love with Barcelona with every visit. Service throughout was seamless and the overall feel of the hotel is sophisticated without being cold. It’s a place that genuinely takes care of you. If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona and wondering where to base yourself — stop wondering. The InterContinental is simply the best place to stay in the city.

The room was first class, spacious and beautifully appointed. Really appreciated the bottle of Sparkling wine and chocolates for my birthday, thank you. Enjoyed the Club lounge. Great location and fabulous roof top bar area. Highly recommended. Disappointed in the cold and especially the hot canapes in the club lounge, as we were really looking forward to the tapas canapes.
