Hotel Continental Palacete

It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location with every amenity you need and more. The staff is kind and very helpful and the buffet is wonderful. It exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it.

The breakfast was fine. The location was good. There was a taxi stand right across the street which made it convenient to get to the pier the next day where our cruise ship was.. However, as we faced the front of the building by the street, it was quite noisy at times. In the middle of the night there was a celebration of some soccer (football) game that was won. Also, the mattresses were overly firm. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. You have to walk up some stairs with your luggage to get to an elevator, which was slightly inconvenient. We had to use a young employee to assist us both coming and going. They don't have washcloths available, only bath towels and hand towels, which were quite large. We were there one night and were dead tired from the long flight, so overall it was a good experience.

I was only here for 24 hours but it was an amazing stay. I arrived early in the morning well before check in and the staff was able to store my luggage so I could go explore the city. Walking distance to some amazing landmarks in Barca. When I returned, I had the lunch buffet which was quite good! I really enjoyed the olives, bread, cheeses, and potato salad. After lunch I was told my room was ready and to my surprise, I was upgraded to a massive suite. I truly had an exceptional experience here. Would definitely return! N/A

The royal style, very clean.

We stayed here before so we were wishing we could get the room with city view which is a lovely room but we had a room with no outdoor view. It was very nice but not as special as the other one. The location is perfect to get around and over to the square for the Hop On Hop Off. Love having the buffet included all day long. The lovely sitting room where you eat or just rest is extra special. Also the taxi stand is right outside which is comforting if you need to get to the cruise port on time. We love this hotel. Like I said we wish the city view room was available but wasn't. Next time.

Room was a little small for 2 people and 2 suitcases

There is a 24 hour buffet with drinks salad fruit coffee tea and soft serve ice cream. Easy walk to tourist spots and hop on and off bus and lots of restaurants just out the door Nothing. They only have 2 suites, which are worth the money so book early

I asked questions of the staff & they were not very informed or I'm not sure. When we got there in early morning there were no taxi's. We asked the person at the counter about getting a taxi. They said they didn't know. When we went out a few hours later there was a taxi location across the street from the hotel. There wasn't a language barrier. We asked 2 different people. The hotel doesn't show you that you have to walk up a flight of stairs with luggage to even get to the elevator. There was no hotel staff to help. Being we were seniors that was definitely not easy. I felt when I was seated in dining area that people that spoke French, Italian, Spanish were given more attention and rooms provided a lot quicker than we were. It is a tough time to travel. I tried to ignore the differences. The hotel buffet was very nice, rooms were very clean. Accept for the things I mentioned the hotel was exceptionally nice. Just not as big as you see in the pictures but beautiful. We travel at the beginning of April 2026.

Excellent location. Helpful staff - very large rooms. Be sure to get one with a balcony - the others are tiny. We were surprised to discover that not only did they provide a large breakfast - but beverages and snacks and fruit all day. While the outside windows were well insulated - the walls were pretty thin

The 24-hour buffet was wonderful. We saved lots of money that we otherwise would have spent in restaurants, and it had great variety and nutritious food choices. It even accommodated my gluten intolerance. The staff were very friendly and top notch. It was a beautiful hotel, and it was very well located. We enjoyed the in-hotel concert on our second night there. Due to transportation delays, we arrived later than expected our first night and ended up with an adequate but cramped room. They happily moved us to a larger room the next day for the same price.

Very clean, excellent location, loved the self service food and free soda, free beer. Bed was excellent, so was the shower. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Daniel came in early on my departure day to help me with my luggage. That’s going above and beyond. Dining area is spectacular. A class hotel and staff in every respect. I have nothing to criticize. I do hope ii get my $276 + security deposit back soon. I left a week ago and I have yet to receive this refundable deposit back.
