The location was good for the purpose of my trip. The hotel was basic at most. The condition of that breakfast hall was horrendous. The room walls are thin and you can hear everything around you. Plus there was a window towards a common vent area...where guests on the opposite hallway could see you. Just...basic.

Construction around don’t let me rest!

Room is very clean, No hot water available
-
The room was very small, the windows didn't close properly, The doors were almost with mold, very small tv, provided wifi but it didn't work.

The location was perfect, there are a lot of supermarkets, resturants. The breakfast was so poor.
-
The location was convenient for any activity I could plan. There were renovations in the building and there was noise in the morning, which was a little disturbing for me.

It was great

It’s not the cleanest. The rooms in the first floor are not what you expect and see in the pictures posted here. For the price is not really worth it.

Clean room, excellent location, helpful personal ...

No small fridge in room

The location is incredible! Luckily the windows provided great fresh air when open, and helped conceal noise when closed.

Personal was kind/friendly, location is close to old city and other attractions One of the worst places I've ever booked in my life: - mold in the room - strong odor from the bathroom draining system - we had to buy and use bleach, but it was a temporary solution - corrupted bathroom door and mirror - small rooms, narrow corridors, scared to use the elevator - kitchen personal working without masks/gloves even when obviously sick - almost constant smell of Cannabis coming into our room and widespread in the floor corridor - poor and same breakfast each day - very noisy - each move or voice of other rooms guests is heard When raised the topic to the reception, we were offered another room in similar bad condition. We refused the change. After check-out I shared my FB with the hostel management (proposed by the receptionist as a final solution) and requested at least a discount, which was declined. For 8 nights I paid almost 1000 euro, which is 2 nights in 5-star luxury hotel in Barcelona with pool and beautiful view. I'm really sorry I spent this money in the Hostal Barcelona instead...

Bad smell in the room. Very noisy One mattress was very bad

Staff helpful and friendly. We could leave our bags, there's a sitting room if you want to use it. Room and bathroom were tiny, but immaculately clean. Bed ok for 2 nights, but pushed up against wall so for night time we pulled it out to get both sides. Easy solution. Heaps of bars and cafes around the corner. And friendly Scotsman in Cafe Lascale just up the road. Easy 20 min walk to La Rambla. Breakfast very basic but only 6 euro so fine.

The room was very little and the wall too thin (you could hear a lot of the surroundings). My bed had a broken mattress (but the staff was very fast in swapping it with a new one). I understand that the price is bumped up by Barcelona but it really was too much.

We like mostly the location. The staff was responsive and helpful. Also the room was cleaned and the towels were changed every day The bathroom was tiny, hard to move around
-
Position Impossible to open windows in the room because the room face an indoor safety stair
