I like the location and the super friendly. I was able to get where I needed to just by walking. If I had a question, the staff was very polite and ready to help. I didn’t like the mold and discoloration at the bottom of the shower curtain

Our stay at Hotel Coronado was very good. The location was one of the biggest highlights, being incredibly close to major attractions, public transportation, and everything we needed during our trip. Grocery stores, gyms, and plenty of dining options were all conveniently nearby, which made exploring and daily planning so much easier. It was the perfect balance of comfort and accessibility, and we really appreciated how central everything was. Highly recommend for travelers looking for convenience and a great base while visiting the area. One major disappointment during my stay was the hotel’s guest visitation policy. I was surprised to learn that having a friend briefly visit my room came with an additional €20 charge, regardless of whether they were staying overnight or simply stopping by. This felt unreasonable and unlike any other hotel experience I have had. While I completely understand security measures such as requiring valid ID, charging for a short visit seemed excessive. Unfortunately, the experience was made even worse by the reception staff’s inappropriate remarks, suggesting that I meet my friend outside or in front of reception instead because the weather was nice. The policy felt unnecessarily restrictive and unwelcoming, which left me quite disappointed.

I stayed at Hotel Coronado in Barcelona for 5 days with my father and my sister, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. From the moment I made the reservation, I had informed the hotel that we have dust allergies—especially myself, as I also have respiratory issues. Despite this, when we entered the room on the first day, the cleanliness was very poor. There was dust everywhere, particularly above the headboard of the bed, which was both uncomfortable and concerning for my health. Additionally, there were several practical issues: the bathroom door would not close properly, the TV was not working, and the room was quite small for three people. On the first night, we tried to sleep with the window open to get some fresh air, but it was extremely noisy. As a result, we had to use the air conditioning, which, for some reason, kept turning off by itself during the night, leaving us waking up sweaty and uncomfortable. As for the staff, our experience was mixed. The women at the reception were not particularly friendly or welcoming, while the men were always polite, helpful, and smiling. I should also mention that the cleanliness improved over the following days, as the housekeeping staff did a better job—my main concern is with the initial condition of the room. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is quite central and convenient for getting around on foot. Overall, considering the amount of money we paid, I believe the hotel did not meet basic expectations. I’m sorry to say that I would not choose to stay here again on my next trip to Barcelona.

I was first given a room in the ground floor which smelled as chemicals. I requested to get a different room and they gave me one which had a terrible smell of cigarettes. When I asked if I could get a different room they told me the hotel was fully booked. The room had a tiny window pointing towards some internal tiny space (it was as dark as it gets) and a toilet with no windows and no air extraction (this is where the cigarettes smell came from) no matter that I left the window open all day, the smell would not go away and I had to keep the door of the toilet closed at all times to keep the air breathable. The location was also not great but probably the least bad thing about it. The price I paid for tbis is unbelievable. I can't believe the good reviews of this place tbh
