Our stay was fantastic! The room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices and we enjoyed eating our breakfast outside in the courtyard. The staff that we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful! A very special find!!

We loved our stay at Casa Mathilda. We were located on the second floor of a charming old building, close to 2 Metro stops, the Block of Discord, and La Sagrada Familia, in an upscale part of town. Our room was nice and quiet and opened onto a lovely terrace. We loved the self-serve coffee and filtered water, the vending machine, and the wonderful breakfast. The staff was very helpful and had a published list of their favorite nearby restaurants. We highly recommend it, it was a wonderful start to our Spain vacation. I truly can't think of anything, it exceeded our expectations.

Plenty of room, great european feel. Everything worked to our satisfaction. Close to metros, nice organic grocery store near by, plenty of eateries.

Great central location. Close to everything, bus line, subway

We were in room 3 and the door to the bathroom is somewhat difficult to open/close.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent—courteous, friendly, and always ready to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The location couldn’t have been better, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again. Nothing to not like about this place

Thought the rooms might be a little bigger based on the photos, but it was a lovely room.

I loved the room and location. It exceeded my expectations! Nothing to note.

It was well loctated and clean enough. The room looked good overall. They accepted our early check-in. I think the price was too high for the quality of the room. The communication was very bad. They asked me to book through another platform - which I didn’t do. My booking never got confirmed so I started looking at other places and then, out of nowhere, they accepted my booking through bookings. If I had booked another place during that time, it would have been a problem. Since the communication was bad, it made the situation especially stressful.

There was so much to like! aesthetics, lighting, ecological consciousness, staff, shower, shower products, pillows. I was grateful for the notepad, and chocolates. The slippers were a nice touch even though I didn't use them. I don't have anything that I didn't like. It was all excellent. I think the communication was excellent, the hotel was charming, and access was easy. Casa Mathilda all the way! I would definitely return to this hotel.

Good location, solid amenities. Bathroom door needs to be leveled. Scraped the floor outside the bathroom

The room was nicely sized and the staff were great. Loved the location in Eixample but near the village-like Gracias Nothing

The staff was excellent. Very responsive and helpful. The location was superior, easy to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Major sites easy to get to. Lots of places to buy food, good public transportation very close by. The room was spotless, quiet. The bed was comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was good and at convenient hours. They offered food for special diets. The exterior terrace was welcoming. Loved the building it was in. The front desk was reachable only by phone after 3pm, would have preferred live help. The bathroom facilities were awkward with the sink in the bedroom. Accessing the sink spigot to splash water on my face was difficult. It was also difficult to keep the shower water from draining onto the bathroom floor. The photos and room description were a bit misleading regarding the exterior terrace. It was a shared terrace with 4 rooms having access to it directly and all the rooms able to use part of it at all times. There was not enough shelf, table, counter space to put my things out on. One narrow shelf along one wall and a small table. Just one strait back chair with a small table to sit on.

It is very intimate for a couple, very clean, comfortable beds and sheets, central place , very kind and pleasant.

Not having 24/hr front desk

The staff was very nice and helpful, and our room was even ready early. The common terrasse is a big plus! The room was clean and comfortable. At first we were worried about the street noise (trafic), but the windows are so good that once closed, we couldn’t hear a thing. Also the room was so well decorated: everything was gorgeous and so tasteful, even the smallest details. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Mathilda! The location was perfect—close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. Our room was small but cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed for two people. One of our favorite parts was the terrace connected to the room. We enjoyed beers in the afternoon and spent peaceful evenings with family, sipping wine we brought and chatting under the night sky. Having access to dishes and glasses made it feel like home and added a personal touch to the experience. The only thing that surprised us was the towel service. Towels were changed only every other day, which we found manageable, but we later learned that another family staying for four nights never received fresh towels at all. For us, it was just one change on the second day, and then we had to use the same towels for the remaining three days. For such a wonderful hotel, we expected a bit more frequent service.
