There was a strong odor of Febreze in the lobby and a musty odor in the hallway, but the room didn't have either smell. The room was reminiscent of a dorm room. The whole place seemed geared toward a younger customer, maybe high school age. Older people who don't have to have their egos stoked 24/7 can be put off by some of the nonsense. The comfort and convenience of the place overrides the ick factor somewhat. I loved that there are USB ports and receptacles galore. The breakfast is probably the best I've seen in a hotel and the lounge/breakfast area is very comfortable. I did not appreciate being gouged $10 for parking or that the "free" internet requires all your personal information to access. Again, that comes of being older and wise enough to know what they are going to do with that info. This hotel would be ideal for the kind of person for whom it was obviously designed, but in spite of a really good night's sleep, I wouldn't stay there again.

Clean, good breakfast The temperature in the lobby was pleasant. When you got off the elevator on the 3rd floor the heat wave hit you in the face. The room was 78°. I turned the AC on and sat and watched TV. Two hours later it was still 78°. I checked the wall unit and found that too was not on air conditioner. I turned that one on. Went to bed and had a hard time sleeping because it was so warm. It cooled to 77°!!! Ridiculous! I did tell them the air conditioner didn't work in room 308 but considering how warm the entire floor was, I think it was intentional.

Super clean, nice sitting areas in lobby. Quiet location. Remote, away from dining restaurants, not motel orientated.

Was a quick 1 night stay. No issues other than the person working the desk advised us that there was a $10 charge for parking. Web site said it was free. I never was charged the $10 so I guess it all worked out.

Front desk attendant was friendly. Clean room and comfortable bed. Room faced highway and was a little loud. AC unit was very loud. Breakfast was not ready at 6 am (as advertised), so we weren't able to eat anything before heading to airport. TV was a great size and we appreciated having access to HBO Max. Convenient to airport and provided shuttle service every 1/2 hour (we had a rental car and didn't use it). Pleasantly surprised for the price and would stay again.

We got into the room after walking in from 100 degree day to a 78 degree room, which sounds cool, but is not. Turned air down to 60....nope. Power went out in middle of the night so it was a miserable night sleep.

I required an accessible room, and it was totally compliant with ADA regs — except I’m only 5’ and almost needed a step stool to get into bed! The rooom was spartan, but the staff were delightful. I needed a bench in the shower and there it was. The lemon-scented soaps were anchored, but in these days of austerity, that could be overlooked. The doors weighed a ton, but I suspect that had to do with fireproofing. Would I stay there again? Yep.

Everything was good and clean. Only thing I will suggest is, keep the lobby Coffee and the water a bit hotter.

Very welcoming agent. Close to the airport. It was clean and comfortable. The sound machine in the room really help drown out the road noise. Our room was very clean. They do need to fix the wall paper in the bathroom (it was peeling from the wall). The water pressure wasn’t the best and it took a minute for the water to heat up.

Great place to stay for an early next morning flight out of Austin.

Check in was rough. The system was down. So staff took my credit card and ID and went to a different area. That made me very uncomfortable. So with the system being down the key cards did not work. So every time we went to our room staff had to let us in. The air in the hallways wasn't working so it was hot. The air did work in the rooms. I would not stay in a Tru by Hilton again. I expect more from that brand.

This hotel is a great value! They have so many amenities and our room was very clean. They offer a wonderful breakfast as well!

We got a sack breakfast to go since our flight was so early and the shuttledriver called in sick so the hotel got us a LYFT, very nice! A little noisy with the road being close but not bad.

Old granola served at breakfast, don’t ask for toilet paper as the rolls are half full to begin with and you are to pick it up in the front. No more than 2 stars

Room was clean and comfortable, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc was included which is helpful. The hotel itself is fun, has pool table, fussball, etc. plenty of snacks for purchase. Staff felt a little informal, would prefer a bit more polished reception area, overall it feels casual and it was great!

The room are very basic and small, but it works for one night. No closet, just a place to hang a few pieces of clothing. Because the hotel is located next to the highway, it is noisy. The room has a noise canceling device and earplugs. The device is noisy, and did not work for me. I was very tired and had to wake up very early, so I had a good short night. I looked for a place to have dinner and options are not good. If you don’t mind all these issues. The price is right and the hotel rooms are very clean. The staff is friendly. One night is ok, not sure if I will be back, mainly because of the noise. Other than that, it is a good place to stay. Great for young people or travelers that will spend a few hours at a hotel.

The hotel was actually beautiful and there was so many different little things there. But I wanna give it two stars because of the mattress there was like a sink hole in the mattress. If you will, it was awful. I did not sleep and of course I was catching an airplane. Definitely need to upgrade the mattresses.

The room itself was cozy and clean. The AC thermostat unit was finicky. We had to press buttons several times to make them work. TV remote didnt work properly and when we called the front desk they said someone would come up to inspect, noone ever came. A few hours later we took the remote to the front desk and had them change the battery. That fixed the issue. Our room was on the 5th floor and faced the highway, which was very noisy. The room had a white noise maker machine which helped but it was still loud. Water pressure in the shower was low. Plenty of parking

I eat pretty healthy, and by the time I got down there, I had a choice of bananas or apples. The juices tasted weird so I stuck to flavored water. But other than that. It was great.

I had a great stay at Tru in Austin TX. The staff was super friendly and all. The complimentary breakfast wasn't the best but the city has alot to offer in a short distance by the hotel. Only thing is I wish they had was a pool.

Not much around the hotel to walk to, but in a convenient location. Rooms were clean/huge, but no dresser, closet or safe. No hotel bar or restaurant and breakfast was mediocre at best.

Would not recommend for a stay of more than a night. Room is matchbook size. Only an uncomfortable desk chair to sit on.

One of the folded towels in the room was very damp. Was it because it wasn't dried fully or because someone took a used towel and refolded it? Since all the other towels were dry, it seems unlikely one only towel hadn't fully dried in the dryer.

Comfortable bed, quiet. The squeeze soap bottles in the bathroom were stiff and almost impossible to use. Bring back a pump bottle! The morning eggs.

The greeting I received on my arrival was friendly, welcoming, and professional. I was able to schedule an airport shuttle for the next morning. Once in my room I realized I should leave earlier, called the front desk and they answered on the first ring. It was an easy change. Will checked me in and Timothy answered the phone. They were both friendly, helpful, and provided one of the best reception and customer service experiences at a hotel. I couldn’t figure out how to watch the TV so I just went to sleep. It wasn’t user friendly.

We were only there for a night since we had a flight the next morning. The hotel staff were very nice and the room was nice and clean. I also like how close it is to the airport, so we didn’t have to feel like we had to rush in the morning.

The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Oatmeal need to be warmer, and the staffer took care of that for me immediately. The shuttle driver was very efficient at getting me back to the airport in a timely manner. I was sent to an occupied room when I arrived at 12:30 am, or whatever time it was, so I had to return to the front desk to rectify that. Not my ideal welcome!

Loved the location from the airport. The shuttle to and from the airport was awesome our flight was before breakfast and the staff packed us a small bag with breakfast items for the flight! So thoughtful! Customer service was AMAZING! will be staying there in the future!

The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean The road noise was so terrible that they put a white noise machine in the room to help with sleep. I could sleep once I turned that on AND put ear plugs in. There was no microwave or coffee in the room. There are no laundry facilities on site. There’s also no dresser so had to live out of my suitcase on the floor for the week.

The food selection was pretty meager and the rooms are very basic for the price.The location and airport shuttle was very convenient however.

We are paying for using the premises at its full perks. That’s including parking, yet the are charging for parking in a city area. This is not downtown. I like the Hotel. I just don’t like the fact that they are wanting to squeeze more money out of travelers zz last time that I will be staying here.

The room was a room with 2 double beds. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were salty and what they offer was not good. I had complementary breakfast before and this one was not good. Not a lot of things to choose from. If I have to choose between this hotel or another one. I would choose the other one.

Since the person at the front desk was new and entirely clueless about the operation of the computer system, my check-in took more than 30 minutes, even though I had a reservation and had prepaid my stay.

The standouts for this hotel include the Foosball and pool tables in the lobby and a fitness room that is easily double the size of most hotel fitness rooms.

Nice clean rooms. Exactly what you'd expect from a Hilton partner. Room is really just suited for those needing accommodations to/from the airport as part of their journey. No closet or microwave in the room. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. My flight left very early the next morning, and it would have been great if I could have just heated up the meal I purchased the evening before in my room. There is a "artsy" pole hanging off one of the walls with some hangers to give you some place to hang your clothes and there is a microwave in the lobby. If you're staying for longer than 1 night, I'd probably find somewhere else.

I’ve stayed here before. The breakfast is ok, the shower water pressure is horrible, parking is horrible. Staff was nice overall room was clean. But the only thing that I really dislike and won’t book here again is the air doesn’t stay on. I constantly kept waking up at night cuz the room was hot I had to keep turning the power on on the ac. I get hot at night so if you do just know the air doesn’t stay on and when it’s on it’s not on for very long. Again if you park in the back bc there’s no parking you can’t even get thru the back gate which is ridiculous. But other than that it’s ok.

Appreciated airport shuttle but didn’t need this trip. Limited dining options nearby. Loose wallpaper and mold behind bathroom door room 308. Otherwise it is a nice hotel.

The front staff were super friendly; the rooms were clean and quiet. This has been one of the best hotels that my sister and I have stayed in! I would definitely stay again in the future!

The first is that the hotel room itself did not have a working air conditioner and blew warm air constantly. We told the front desk and their response was lukewarm and did not care and gave the excuse of “oh we didn’t know,” after telling them. The second is that the breakfast was really deceptive from the website to in person. It was advertised that it was a buffet with a wide range of options but in person it was cold scrambled eggs, a pancake machine that kept breaking, and the oatmeal was one giant clump. I’m seriously disappointed because I chose this hotel because it was a Hilton, and was hoping it would be a great stay, and it wasn’t.

Spotless room and exceptional staff helped us with airport transportation due to flight changes during the government shutdown.

Room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and spacious. Check-in was a breeze. Ample parking and 5 mins from the airport. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a comfortable spot near the airport.

A clean hotel close to the airport with friendly, helpful service - but the rooms, at least on the front of the hotel, are LOUD all day and night, next to the highway. Even on the top (5th) floor, noise was inescapable, with climate / fridge systems in the room quite noisy too. I’m not normally hypersensitive to this, but it was rough. Also minimal restaurants nearby (walkable), even with a dozen plus hotels. Did Grubhub for dinner instead.

Phenomenal experience from ease of check-in/out, clean lobby with lots of amenities (including games to play, lots of seating, charging areas, and different types of snacks, drinks, alcohol). Staff was very friendly and helpful in all areas. The gym has a good selection of equipment from TRX to kettlebells to Peloton. The beds are comfy and soft! Room with 2 queens was spacious, and had a big tv. Could use another chair in the room, only 1 for the small desk is provided. Lots of lighting options in the room, and plenty of outlets.

The computers in the business area were not working. Food for breakfast was not only limited but just mediocre and eggs totally cold.

Hotel was average.The rooms were ok but I had roaches in my room.

The room and property were very clean. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows provide no support. The complimentary breakfast was good. I was surprised and really appreciate that they had gluten free bagels. The parking was limited both nights that we were there. Compact cars were taking up all the regular spots, leaving larger vehicles having to park on the street behind the building. Overall it is a great hotel and I will stay here again.

You need a grill at the hotel. There’s not any options within walking distance.

We always stay there when traveling. It’s really close to the airport. The hotel is super clean, the employees are friendly and welcoming. The area is surrounded by lots of food options and we feel safe there. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Outdoor noises, thin walls, hallway noises made it nearly impossible to sleep. From the cars racing in the nearby streets, highway traffic, motorcycles, doors slamming, and the loud A/C the noise ruined the experience.

Was a really excellent day the breakfast was really nice and plentiful, walking distance to the shop and not far from the airport. Also, there is free transfers from the airport from 4pm to 11.30 am in the morning. Just beware of incidentals you will need to put a deposit down for your stay. Malou is so helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. What we really loved was the pay to park and shuttle to the airport. Paying to keep our car there was cheaper than any of the airport parking lots and the shuttle ride was super convenient.

The breakfast was included and was fresh and tasty.

One night stay . I was worried it might be loud being by the airport, but we didn’t hear a thing. The bedding was great and the sheets were amazingly soft. The gym was in working condition and the equipment was good.

This hotel is spartan and very noisy. It is not located near any restaurants. They also added a tax fee that was not disclosed when buying the Expedia.

Lumpy pillows, poor mattress, and the highway traffic noise is unbelievable! They do provide a large white noise machine, hoping it helps, but it doesn’t help at all!

This is by far one of the best hotels you could ever stay at for a two or three day visit has everything you need and breakfast was included that little touch of having breakfast is almost always the difference maker, but the true I stayed in had a great bed, and a great showerwhich is really all I needed

This was a 1 night stay to catch an early morning flight out of Austin airport. Very comfortable, close to the airport..A plus is they offered weekly parking.

I love how they have everything available for you, so you don’t need to have to go to a store to get it. It’s all conveniently available right there - from food, drinks, to necessities like a razor/shaving cream, even a sewing kit. Upon arrival, you receive a goodie bag with water bottles and snack, which is a nice touch. The toiletries in the room are via wall dispenser, which is also convenient.

The first room I got had a broken AC. They quickly got me a different room. The traffic noise is loud and the AC was loud. The bed was nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok for a hotel. Nice staff

Small clean room, good firm mattress. Nice fitness center. Travelling east on TX-71 the GPS might give you confusing directions.

The property was very well kept smelled great. Staff was friendly. The only problem was how long it took the water to get hot other than that no problems.
