    This place was completely disgusting! I had them change my original room because it reeked of animal urine. The second room had stains all over the carpet and mold in the shower. I would never stay here again!

    The only working elevator was very sketchy and seemed like it would break any moment and smelled like weed. The room we booked had no electricity and smelled like cigarette smoke. Was moved to another room which had blood stains on the curtains, unclean surfaces throughout, no soap for the shower, stain on the sheet, urine spot on the bathroom floor.

    Breakfast was okay There was mold in shower, had terrible smoke smell, hair in bed, smoke alarm battery was dead and wrapped in some kind of foil. The iron didn’t work. Lights by bed didn’t work, horrible smell in bathroom area. Tv didn’t work.

    They didn’t have eggs and bacon for breakfast. They just gave yogurt and cereal. Coffee taste like it was watered down. And they unplugged the lights so you use less electricity. They are cheap.

    Tried to checkin at 3:30pm, that was a mistake as the lady at the front desk told me it was an upcharge to check in 30 minutes early, even though there was no one else there. The shower had mold and the air conditioner could even drop the room 5 degrees in the 2 days we were there, also very sketchy parking lot.

    It’s a place to sleep, shower and have your DoorDash delivered. It’s quiet and inexpensive. It’s just a room for a night. Beds not too comfortable Bring your own pillow and blanket.

    The hotel is not as presented. It’s so run down $100/night I wild. For the appearance, smell, etc more like $30/night is appropriate. Breakfast was not as described. Parking is wild - broken glass everywhere. Room had stains on carpet, bed sheets, curtains and even blood drops on couch. Only two towels per room. No Kleenex or coffee pot. People just sitting outside in the yard drinking. Pool area is littered with beer cans and caps. I’m highly disappointed and will NEVER stay here again. My poor kid is traumatized.

    Well staff is good, and rooms are large. Understand this isn't a 5star hotel, but better than most I've stayed at before. Decent breakfast buffet in morning, room had a fridge and no microwave. The walk in shower was a big plus and water was hot. So Hot water, working toilet, comfortable bed, fridge so you got it made for value and budget. I would stay again

    2. Breakfast was horrible- peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Would not replenish items for breakfast. Staff would close breakfast off an hour before time was posted 3.     Nice location, about a 15-20 minute drive to Austin Airport! We originally booked a king suite (Room 201), it was very nice when we first got there, about 2 hours of being there, there were 2 live roaches in the bathroom… I went down to the front desk and when I mentioned it, the man at the counter didn’t act surprised, when asked for a different room, all they had was 2 double bed suite which was fine because we needed to leave at 2:30am for our flight. We received our new room keys (Room 406) and when we went to take a shower, the water was spraying so bad the bathroom floor was about to start to flood, when trying to fix the shower head it wouldn’t tighten or anything so we just didn’t worry about it due to it being 10pm at this point. Also when we went to check out the pool, it was filled with bugs and spiders all throughout the pool so couldn’t enjoy that either.

    When we checked in the elevator reeked of weed and was not operating smoothly. Upon walking into our room there were stains all over the couch and the floor and walking into the bathroom there was a cockroach right on top of the toilet paper. The room smelled musty and dirty. Carmen helped us move into another room to which there were massive dark and dirty rings in the rug from where the door had been opened and closed. The room was still foul smelling and musty. The bathtub do not drain so there was standing water when you showered and the shower curtain itself was ripped and torn. This property needs a massive overhaul. Carmen was the real saving grace here.

    I guess it was ok for just one night.. Room was really large so that was refreshing but other than that, there isn't much great to say. The elevator- only one working and that was the scariest elevator I've ever been in! Took stairs the rest of the stay. Breakfast was sliced bread and butter, cereal, juice and kids "go-gurt". No joke, that was it. Oh and a hard boiled egg. Very old property and it shows. Staff was nice other than the housekeepers laughing it up in the hallways and having loud conversations at 9pm at night. I had to open my door and ask them to please be quiet- I was so tired from a very long day and wanted to sleep.. Then, they were back at it at 8am, even constantly knocking on my door for checkout. I was paid up until 11am and just wanted to sleep in! (no privacy hangers for doors). Won't be back.

    Room was clean overall but the bedsheets were old enough to need replacement since the white sheets were actually off-white. Also, though the staff was nice, the guy that helped with check-in was more interested in answering his text messages and making me wait than actually go through the check in process. He did apologize, but priorities are clearly misaligned.

    Let’s see, rude staff, bad breakfast selections, went to check into the room and it wasn’t cleaned, trash everywhere, they made us wait 45 minutes to get another room and guess what, also dirty. Crumbs all over carpet, just disgusting. For $150 I didn’t expect The W, but this seemed like it should’ve been an hourly hotel if you catch my drift. Stay anywhere else

    Will never stay here again. The outside property isn’t landscaped. The inside: 2 elevators. One is closed, the other is dirty and runs roughly. My room had 3 issues. I brought them all up to two different staff members at the desk. One said they’d get it fixed and one issue was fixed, however it was the unimportant issue. The other two issues did not get fixed. I went back to the front desk, since my room phone wouldn’t even dial to the front desk, and talked to another staff member. She only apologized. Said there was nothing to do. The issues? The tv was so fuzzy you couldn’t watch it. The most important issue was that there was nothing on the bed except 2 sheets. No blanket. No duvet. Just sheets. When I asked AGAIN for another blanket I was given a third sheet and told there was nothing to do about it. While housekeeping was cleaning other rooms I saw those beds had duvets on them. Why is this an issue? Several stains on the carpet as well, including piled up gunk that looked waxy.

    Terrible place. super dirty inside and out. Blood & water stains on the 20yr carpet. Plumbing not working properly. Ask front desk to move us, but stated they were at full compacity. We had a concert to go and running late so had to stay. Seem there were homeless people staying there. People smoking Pot in & outside. breakfast sux. It was all pickup before the 10am mark. Bad area never again. hope to get a refund.

    Hotel í not clean. Room has very bad smell. I have to ask to switch to another room. AC is noisy. Especially it is not safety. No security guards. Homeless people come to the lobby.     For the price, I felt I received good value. The room was spacious, clean, and versatile with an area to sleep, an area to simply sit down and relax, and an area in which I could get some work done. The bathroom was well maintained and the shower was a good size. The staff was attentive and friendly. Again, this is all about value. For the money I spent I'm not expecting high level amenities. Having said that, there is a decent sized outdoor pool and the gym has enough cardio equipment to conduct a decent workoout which I did.

    We stay there almost every week and we have never had any problems with that hotel. But this past Thursday we got a room on the first floor and we had roaches and smelled kinda funky. My husband didn't want to complain cuz we always stay there but if it was up to me I would've complain and ask for a refund. I hope this situation gets fix and idk if we will stay there again. Needs fumigation asap!!!!!

    You can tell the property used to be nice, but it’s condition is worn and VERY DIRTY. Lots of grime, carpet is stained, molded shower, crummy towels and sheets were stained abs perceived as unclean. The elevators was discussing on walls, for and floor. Would not stay here again.

    The location is pretty good! Right in between two highways and lots of places for food and shopping near by We stayed for an entire week and not once did house keeping come by. They said they come by every 3 days but we had seen the cart in the hall a few times while we were leaving or coming back and not once did house keeping enter our room.

    Hotel was advertised on booking.com to have a restaurant and bar- it did not. That was the specific reason we booked at this hotel and not others nearby. There was no coffee maker in the room. There were dirty towels in the room. There was not one cup in the room, not for bathroom, coffee, with the ice bucket – none.

    This hotel is the worst Sonesta I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not sure if I’d stay with another Sonesta. The room floor was disgusting. They didn’t even take out the trash. Table and desk were dirty, I couldn’t believe it. Front desk guy at check in was not friendly at all. It was like a the cheapest motel experience, wow.

    Description and price was not what expected. Breakfast buffet as described and nothing but bread and boiled eggs. Very much underated. The room was dirty. No soap, etc. Cockroach in restroom.     I found multiple pieces of gum rolled up and thrown in my room, walls were stained, sink did not work. Door alarms going off in the middle of the night. An absolute dump. Horrible soap horrible towels. Not worth $100 a night. Should’ve been $25 a night. I have it 2 stars one cause atleast the AC worked and 2 cause the bed had one good pillow.

    The area was terrible very sketchy characters, the room had water damage and I had to move to another room, the bed and pillow hurt my back.     One elevator was out of service and the other one should have been. When the doors opened, it hadn't completely settled and was still moving. When the door shut, it was squeaky and it felt super unsafe. So much so that we walked the stairs the entire time and we were on the 5th floor! They apparently kept the used towels in a pile on the floor in the stairwell. The first room we got into stunk badly and there was some kind of wet gloop on the couch. The second room was hot and felt like a sauna. Finally, the 3rd room was fine but didn't have enough towels.

Over all it wasn’t the worst experience but it was not good enough for my wife and I to return to. Pay a little extra to stay somewhere else

    There was no stay on Oct. 23, 2025. I was booking at 1:58am on 10/24/25 for dates Oct 24-26, 2025 for a funeral and your website somehow booked for 10/23/25. When calling was told I had to contact the hotel, which I did only to be told that I had to contact hotels.com due to booking being through a 3rd party.     Overall, the property was a good bargain for the price. An easy way to improve is to remove the stains from the hallway carpet. Also, get rid of the stains on the couch. Since there wasn't a coffee maker in the room, it would be nice to have coffee available in the lobby. I understand it is an expensive area for real estate, and they are trying to offer a competitive price. However, these few things would not cost the management much money and would improve the overall experience.

    We went to the that room, which was across the hall #212, and were hit with a mildew odor. It wasn't too bad so I turned on the A/C and after several minutes it dissipated. We began settling in and then discovered that the bedding underneath the cover sheet was stained with brown patches and what looked like drops of blood on the other bed. Additionally, the shower/tub area had mildew growing along the grout lines. Once again we requested another room, this time a room on the 4th floor was offered. We went to it and the odor in that room was so offensive that we couldn't bear it. At this time we we decided enough was enough and we checked out. On top of everything else the hotel had no wifi and was no longer serving breakfast. Also, there seemed to be possible criminal activity going on in the lobby. I respectfully ask that Expedia obtain a refund from Sonesta Select Austin North and return it to my credit card account.

    The elevator was out of order, they gave us a room in the second floor and only after multiple requests ( my husband had a back pain ) did they give us a 1st floor room. Both rooms had a musty smell, the carpet looked dirty and stained, the sofa was ripped in parts, I had to look under the sofa for a dropped earring and saw there multiple items left by previous guests. The border on the corner wall had come loose and was dangling. There was no soap bar, no cups, no coffee maker. I had to ask for a soap bar multiple times, till a front desk person gave me one.     To make matters worse, the elevator went out of service and stayed that way our entire visit. My husband has a heart condition and is unable to handle strenuous activity, so being forced to use the stairs repeatedly was not only inconvenient but also concerning for his health. On top of that, while showering, the handle came completely off in my hand. It was frustrating and honestly felt unsafe. Overall, this was a very poor experience.     El desayuno fatal solo pan, huevos y café. No había ni tocinerías, tampoco salchichas ni frutas.. Estaba dañado el envase de mezcla de wafles, entonces tampoco se podía hacer wafles. Lo único bueno es la habitación muy limpia y el baño. El Shampoo, acondicionador y jabón líquido no lo ponen nuevo.. No volvería, no fue una grata visita.

    The property can use some maintenance. When we arrived at the hotel, there were signs that the elevator was broken. We stayed three nights and it was not fixed. There was also water leaking from the ceiling in the lobby towards the end of our stay. The faucet in our bathroom was not secured and would move to the side when we turned it on. Our room had less than a half roll of toilet paper and no rolls in backup. There was no housekeeping service to the room while we were there.We had to ask for more toilet paper at the front desk where they gave us one roll when we ran out. There was no hand soap and the shower wash was empty. Housekeeping came to our door when we requested some with a clear unmarked bag of shower gel to refill the container and 2 bottles of conditioner. There must have been a communication issue.The space was roomy other than the bathroom. It probably was a nice hotel in its younger days. They may be understaffed although the staff we came in contact with was friendly.

    The hotel is hidden and mostly quiet considering the area which is a plus. The only noise issue we had was the fire alarms in the hallways going off several times at round 5am. We didnt see that anything was going and no announcements were made to inform if eveything was safe. Come to find out, the reason the fire alarms went off is because the elevators went out. We were told the elevators were going to be fixed at 9am. Had surgery that afternoon and upon returning to the hotel, the elevators still not working. I couldn't climb up stairs and the facility did not have a way to accommodate my needs. I ended up struggling to climb up the stairs since I had another night booked and couldn't get credit if i left. Needless to say i left beofre midnight and took the loss. In a different circumstance i would consider booking at that hotel

    There was a mistake on my part that only booked me for 6 days instead of 7. When I tried to extend for another day I was told it would be $150 . I was not finished with my work in Austin and liked the location but felt like it was time for me to go, I left after the 7 day and checked into another hotel.

    I had previously stayed at the Royal Sonesta in San Juan and had a wonderful experience, so I trusted the Sonesta brand. Based on the photos on Expedia, I booked two higher-floor rooms, expecting a similar level of quality. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevators were out of service — and had been for some time. No prior notice was given. Because of this, we were moved to rooms on the first and second floors. Climbing the stairs to the second floor with luggage and a baby was bad enough, but the overwhelming stench in the stairwells made it nearly unbearable. The rooms were in poor condition. They were dirty, with visible stains on the furniture and bedding. We found pubic hair in both the bathroom and the bed. My daughter's first-floor room smelled heavily of marijuana and had visible black mold throughout the bathroom. Even worse, housekeeping never came during our three-night stay. No fresh towels, no toilet paper, and no basic cleaning — when we asked the staff, they simply said “no.” But the most disturbing part? My daughter found a roach crawling

    The breakfast really stood out as it tasted homemade and their biscuits were delicious like country diner style biscuits. The coffee was also great! They didn't have overwhelming breakfast options but the ones they did were tasty and the lady taking care of the breakfast was attentive and kept it stock even though she was the only one we saw working the breakfast area. We didn't get to tell her personally because she was so busy taking care of the area.

    One employee, Dashanti, was particularly rude. She yelled at me when I inquired about when the elevator would be fixed, and when I asked for towels, she threw them at me. Overall, we experienced very poor customer service from Dashanti, who was unhelpful throughout our stay. This made our time there quite unpleasant, and I would never want to stay at this hotel chain again or recommend it to anyone. This was our first very bad experience, and it will be our last.

    Hotel is not what i expected. Ive stayed are real nice Sonesta before. This one was not and looked run down. Elevator was not working so that was a huge inconvenience with our heavy luggage.

    The elevator did not work and we were in the 5th floor. Our room was fine however, there was no towels so I had to call the front desk. I went to use the phone there and it did not work. I had to use my phone to make the call. The front desk girl was nice but said we had to get the towels ourselves. I will not be staying here again.

    I did not like that we had to ask fro fresh towels every day. Also, i forgot my body soap, so i had to use theirs, which was empty. We had to adk for that. Pool was green and closed during our whole stay. And complimentary breakfast was eh. Pancakes were not edible. Only 1 variety of juice.

    Hallways smell like ramen noodles, bathroom smell moldy, pillows looked so dirty, I checked for bed bugs and didn’t see any so that’s a plus. My family felt itchy through out the night. Breakfast was so gross my family picked at it then went to buy breakfast instead. There was an actual hooker with a man who was bare foot in the breakfast area so that already told me the type of place I had stayed at (I know this cause I heard him talking to her about it) I mean you get what you pay for, we were just passing through so now I know for the next time, pay that extra for a better hotel.

    & id decided against complaining initially but since the rest of my stay was so disappointing- ill share. room was dirty upon arrival, dingy looking floors. light bulbs out in a main light fixture, and the room keys randomly stopped working multiple times. afforable enough, super comfy beds. the breakfast is fantastic as well as the kitchen staff. front desk staff is very hit or miss.

    Staff is great. Other reviews very misleading, will update review when I’ve received a refund. Moldy, entire property smells, laundry room when running reeks of natural gas, offered 2 rooms, both dirty and had either dirty bedding or no comforter. One room smelled like smoke, the other smelled like cheese. Roaches in the lobby with food. Was told house keeping was off for the night. Manager was off all Memorial Day weekend to authorize a refund. He showed up just before we left and gave me a hassle about it.

    The property was okay, I expected more. Our room had very dim lights and some lights were not even working. When we told about this, the staff said at least they are working right. There were also flies in the room. We insisted on changing the room but the staff said the same thing. The complimentary breakfast was also okay. When asked the staff what is the menu, tell us about it the staff said it is what it is.

    Was quite surprised with the quality of my stay I visit Austin regularly but this was my first time stay at this hotel. The staff was very pleasant, the accomodations where spacious, and honest my favored part was the breakfast. I rarely if ever find myself eating hotel breakfast but what was prepared was very good. Next time I have to be in the city first I will definitely check out this places available.

    The most annoying part of my experience was housekeeping. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have any "do not disturb" doorknob hangers and housekeeping will go by every day or every other day around 10am. If you're trying to sleep in, housekeeping won't allow you to do so. Even after getting a post-it note saying "do not disturb," housekeeping still knocked on my door vigorously. Beyond frustrating. Also, breakfast selection is pretty poor. Other than that, the hotel is mainly quiet, and the location is convenient.

I understand it was just purchased, but still need to be honest on situation and what they offer. Heard msny complaints. Was very disappointed; especially since we were there for medical reasons.

    I called a head of time to get an early check in, the first time they said it was to early for them to determine if that was a possibility and asked me to call closer to the date of check in. I called a couple days before and i was told that the earliest I could check in for free was 2pm anything before that it would be an extra charge so we agreed for 2pm check in instead of 4pm. We arrived to check in it was 2:30pm and we were told we could not check in until 3:30pm. I made them aware that I spoke to Robert for them to be ready for us to check in at 2pm and the reception did not seem to care if we spoke to someone or not. We had an event to attend to at 330pm so I had to start getting ready in the public restroom of the building and it was very hot in there. When we finally got into the room the TV did not work.

    Hotel was clean, easy access to freeway and had several restaurants close by. The room and beds were very comfortable and check-in was quick. Our biggest complaint was the breakfast. We went down about 40 minutes before it ended and there was barely anything left. We had to settle for biscuits (which were excellent) and a few greasy sausage patties for hot food. There were several other guests waiting around with us seeing if more food would be put out but nothing came. But of a bummer but overall it was a nice place to stay.

    Immediate area around the hotel was quiet and secluded, but a block further and homeless camped out everywhere so I wouldn’t say walkable. Grounds were clean but not impressive, a little weeding goes a long way, trash can outside the lobby was overflowing. Check in was easy but there was no going out of the way to be personable or give us directions to the room. Room was adequate and clean. A/C cover broken, half of the channels on the tv were pixelated and distorted like as if the connection was from the 90s, snags in the rug, side lights of the bed didn’t turn on. Bed was lumpy but again adequate. Breakfast was included from 6-9a, we went down at 8:30, everything was empty like the place was ransacked but never refilled. Only things left were some hard boiled eggs, go-gurts, and a punch bowl of sausages in grease. Went to say something to the front desk, but he was helping another guest while eating out of a bowl of cereal with cell phone out and earpods in. Grabbed our stuff, checked out and went to get breakfast elsewhere. I probably won’t return to this location when in Austin but would recommend for an adequate quiet stay with zero expectations for amenities or frills.

    There were not enough towels for two people - one bath mat, one bath towel, one small hand towel. The shampoo/conditioner/ body wash dispensers had fallen off the wall of the shower and were left sitting on the shower floor. The ironing board bracket in the closet was loose and fell off the wall.

    I wish I could post pictures. There was so much makeup on the comforter that is looked as if someone used it to remove their makeup. Then I lifted the comforter to inspect the bed and found hair on the sheets. After a long day of travel I decided to sleep in my clothes to get through the night. The elevator door sounded as if it is going to break at any moment. All the carpeting throughout the corridors and rooms are frayed. The showers were dirty and had mold. I don't recommend this hotel whatsoever and is very overpriced. I'd suggest staying in a motel over this facility. I was unable to any kind of refund or even a sorry for the dirty room.

    The pictures are very deceiving of this property. I truly thought it was a good place to stay based on the pictures just because we are out of town peoole. The beds are super hard. We killed multiple roaches in 2 different rooms. We got moved an found strands of hair in the bedsheets. The elevator was so bad that it sounded like it was struggling to open and then it would jump when it would take you up the floors. Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve been to in a long time.

    Upon arrival, I stood at check in desk for a few minutes before I was helped. There were two ladies to the left of me that were employees that carried on a conversation while a man that was stocking the fridge had to stop what he was doing to check me in. Elevator was not in the best condition. Room was clean. Hotel is way older in person than what the stock photos show. Breakfast was very limited and the lady that I assumed was the cook stood and watched us the entire time while we got breakfast. I overall wasn’t pleased with my stay.

    Staff was very friendly and accommodating - excellent service. One elevator inoperative, could have been down for maintenance. Common-area carpeting was grungy - needs a deep clean or (more likely) time to replace. Room was clean and comfy. HVAC would not change regardless of temp selected - it was OK. Only decaf coffee in the room (!). All in all, a fair value for the money.

    HORRIBLE customer service. They illegally booted my vehicle which caused damage to my car. Then they tried to blame me for it. Managers were nonexistent when I tried to confront them about paying for the damage. Ended up leaving still no manager would talk to me. Absolutely will never stay at any of these hotels again. Gonna cost me well over $500 to repair my car and they did not care at all.
