Check-in was perfect with a staff that was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great with a lot of options for adults and children. Pool area was lovely and our granddaughter enjoyed it very much. Very nice place to stay and we will definitely be back!

This hotel was a not the best representation of Marriott, will not choose this hotel again.

Room was great! Beds were cozy and quiet. Didn’t get to use the pool in the evenings. It was always very full off children and I think maybe from the parties they were hosting. Couldn’t swear to that one though. Breakfast was great! Lots of options. I would stay here again.

She was the only one at the front so I felt that that might be why and then we she hung up the phone she was more focused.

The customer service and breakfast was excellent. I loved that they had a waffle maker. The fact that it was right next to another hotel. It made it a little confusing when arriving and figuring out where it was. The parking area leading up to the hotel needs maintenance but that’s more of the other establishment upkeep.

Newer hotel. Very very odd entrance through a parking lot of other businesses. Gym smelled so badly of mildew n hot. Bleh … staff seemed easy going. It was very busy. It was just an odd stay n odd hotel. Crowded with dogs and families n kinda crazy in the common areas … not a favorite for me

the night manager was amazing! I believe her name was Holly. all the staff members were great. from front desk to housekeeping and breakfast attendants everyone was welcoming and hospitable. breakfast was good. great amenities. spacious room. as great and spacious as everything was. I had a couple issues. first, room 123 the bed nearest the heating unit was so concave on was side. not a very comfortable night for someone with back issues I had to pack it with pillows. I also felt like the bathroom mounted shower amenities would be better mounted further from the shower head. it was a tight fit to get water stream with the 3 bottles right next to your shoulders. other than that this was a good stay.

Rough area with a couple crappy hotels right next door. Very close to the freeway too. The hotel itself and the staff were nice but this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel if that’s what you’re looking for.

Check in staff was not very attentive. Worked on her current “job for a good five minutes before addressing my check-in at 11 pm. Not until somebody else walked in and need to check in as well. Did she decide that her current task could wait and she should attend to the guests. She was otherwise friendly just not very attentive.

We had a reservation, and when we arrived, they could no longer honor that reservation because the guest staying in our reserved room decided to book another night. We had to find another hotel to stay in. It was a lot to do with 4 kids and no head up about not being able to stay.

It sits behind a run down hotel & you have to go through their crappy crappyboarking lot to get to the hotel

I was a frequent costumer I used to stay in this hotel every month due to my work. The manager is v nice and professional. However this time the new front desk lady her name is Bridget was v unprofessional, rude and lack communication skills. Inconvenience during check in, check out. Also I stayed 1 week had 2 times room service when they just did the bed and picked up trash, no cleaning otherwise.

I had a perfect stay here… the room was spacious and full of all the amenities needed and beyond… staff was accommodating and helpful with my requests… I love the safe and secure parking area in front as well.

The front desk put us in the worst room-the nearest one to I-40 the first night. Lots lots of road noise. We requested the refund for the second night but they refused. Instead they gave us another room. Better. Breakfast tastes bad. The way into the hotel there's a deep pit.

Very friendly, helpful staff that recognized my birthday with a card and free item from market! Amazing room and excellent breakfast with hot healthy choices as well as a variety of cold cereal. The breakfast is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever seen @ any Marriott properties.

Staff over sprays elevators and eating area and foyer. Was trying to take elevator and they sprayed both elevators at 9am with a cleaning bottle that pretty much you couldn’t enter for twenty min. The hotel smells like toxic cleaner. Limited English speaking staff only the fro t desk person could talk to.

Booked this reservation on a road trip with my family. At 11 pm got a message saying they have no rooms and had no way of contacting me (despite providing my phone number). I wasnt expecting this hotel to be as fancy as it was. Whenever it showed that they had suites i wasnt expecting a studio style room with a beautiful shower and spacious layout, but i was pleasantly surprised. They also had a pool and workout room on location.

Charged twice for one night stay.

Be careful on arrival - 3 different hotels are all clustered together, and it’s difficult to tell which is which. The signage could be better, especially since it is offset back from the main road.

The bathroom water took a long time to get hot. There was no "to-go" cups in the room. Since we were leaving earlier than breakfast (5:00am) and we didn't want to have to get cups dirty, we would have liked to have something to take our coffee with us in the morning. Pillows were uncomfortable. We have enjoyed our previous stay with this hotel chain and likely will in the future also, yet, this was not the most confortable stay.

This was a lovely hotel. We ended up having a roll in shower because it was the last suite available. It would have been nice to know that there were no normal suites. Normally it would have been okay, but they need to have curved shower curtains for these showers. The shower curtain kept sticking to us so we had to leave it open to shower. Bed was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was great. Breakfast was full of options and well put out. Overall this was a great place for a one night stay in Amarillo

TownePlace Suites was the perfect place to stop during our travels. Excellent value. Nice studio room, large bathroom and very quiet location. Pet friendly, there were plenty of nice grassy areas outside with dog stations to dispose of any waste. Will be staying here again for sure!

My fiancé and I had a great experience at TownePlace Suites. The hotel overall was great quality for a great price. The only qualm was that the areas where you exit the hotel and get onto the service road were very steep possibly due to construction.

We travel through Amarillo, TX to Denton, TX every 3-4 months on business. We like to stay at this hotel because it close to restaurants and gas stations. Most important, we feel safe here and it's comfortable and quite.

The room was comfortable and what you would expect from this tier of hotel. My biggest gripe for this hotel is the location. This property is a newer property surrounded by run down motels. There were loiterers constantly around the area. The parking lot was very well lit and ample. Thankfully nothing happened to our vehicle but we were worried about it.

I enjoy my morning coffee and was upset to find the coffee pot had not been cleaned and had scorched coffee on the bottom. The area around the sink had not been cleaned either. I always check the bedroom areas for bed bugs and I did not find any evidence. However, I found that it had apparently been a long time since the area close to the bed and end tables had been vacuumed. On the positive side, the area was well lit and the property was clean. The breakfast was nice and the decor was modern, but still welcoming. Overall, the negatives, way outweighed the positives. We go through Amarillo all the time and we all decided to never stay here again.

The room was very spacious and nice, especially for the price. Staff was friendly. Pool and hot tub were nice. The outdoor seating area was nice with the fire pit and grills. Only complaint was the front of the building faces a sketchy looking hotel, but we didn’t see anyone sketchy looking.

Closeness to the airport and dining was easy to get to.

The location was great. About 10 minutes from the airport. Granted Amarillo is a small city. The hotel was clean and beautiful. Hotel is pet friendly but was so well kept that you couldn’t even tell. My only complaint was the bed was uncomfortable and the shower pressure was low.

This is a great hotel. It’s just behind a couple of other less than spectacular hotels but this is a hidden gem. The rooms are spacious, modern and super clean. The staff is wonderful. I would suggest the breakfast have longer hours. I would suggest a shower head that can adjust so the water does not spray on the floor, causing a slippery floor. I would suggest a second grab bar closer to the actual shower.

We only had 2 mishaps that prevented us from giving a full 5 stars. When I walked into the lobby to check in, the desk clerk asked in a very curt voice, "Checking in?" I said yes and she immediately said, "I need your ID." I had only walked two steps into the lobby. I was really far away from the desk, so if I did get out my ID when she asked, I would be holding it while walking the distance from the door to the desk. One of the days we stayed it snowed, so we turned the temperature up on the thermostat. The heater did not turn on. We called the front desk and were told someone would come up. No one ever came up. I mentioned it to the desk clerk when I checked out. Instead of apologizing, she asked, "Did you push both buttons?" I said yes and she just shrugged her shoulders. I was expecting at least an apology for no one coming up to our room, but I just got the shrugged shoulders.

Entire hotel was extremely neat and clean. I had never seen a hotel that had a BBQ available, along with utensils and seasonings! Very impressive! And I saw a staff member cleaning the grill the next morning! Bed was super comfortable and the room was spotless.

Stopped for a night on a road trip. Stayed at other hotels in Amarillo in the past and this is better than the others. Modern, clean and spacious.

The hotel itself was clean and well kept. Our problem came during check in. I was told that Expedia overbooked their rooms, so we were being upgradred to a suite. This sounded nice until we learned that it was just an extra sitting room, but with a queen size bed. When I made the reservation months ago, I specifically chose a king size bed. I didn't make a big deal about it, though. We were issued our room key. When we went to the assigned room, someone already had their personal items in the room. The front desk staff seemed surprised when we went down and told them, but saw where they accidently shared the room. Annoying, but not a big deal. We were issued another room and the same thing happened. Someone had their items already in the room. The shocked front desk staff said that it was the cleaning crew, who hadn't finished the room yet. We checked in after 3 p.m., so we were not early. We had to wait 10-15 minutes to be issued another room key, which finally worked for us. It was close to 4 p.m. before we were able to go to our room and we had things planned to go to immediately after check in. The staff were kind about the entire situation, but it was still a frustrating experience.

It was pretty windy when we stayed and a section of the outside "wallpaper" had come off. There is some freeway noise and the roads getting to the hotel have pot holes. We've stayed there twice now and it is our favorite place for a longer stay..

Perhaps not about the property but about the front desk woman who was near the end of her shift when I arrived. I presented my driver's license and she informed me that in my haste before leaving my home in south Texas, I had indeed booked a room BUT it was for the following weekend. She located another room for me for that night. Luckily I had paid for the reservation using my debit card and she informed me that that made it a lot easier. I was lucky. Lucky I'd paid for the room with mt debit card and luckier because of her understanding and helpfulness. She represents you well. I'll be staying at a Marriott property again when I travel.

This place was so clean to the point that it was sparkling. The cleaning staff doesnt mess around. The check in was smooth and friendly. You can tell they *actually* clean because it smells CLEAN. Highly recommend for families!
