Found toenails in our room, coffee maker spewed hot water everywhere. WiFi doesn’t work.

I loved the large room! Bathroom is a little small, but for our needs (traveling with a cat) having a large room for him to explore after a long day riding in a car was golden!

Rooms were not clean

Excellent value. Spacious, comfortable, clean room. Pleased with eco-friendly dispensers for soap, etc. Very well lit outside so feels very safe.

We tried 2 rooms labeled non-smoking. The first had a heavy airfreshner smell mixed with tobaco that irritated my eyes and lungs. The second room had such a heavy smoke smell I couldn't even take 2 steps into the room. We left to rent another hotel. I was charged at check in and am unable to get a refund. Just go somewhere else.

The room was much bigger than I anticipated, which was nice. It had a unique layout that allowed us to spread out and not bump into each other. The staff was friendly, and the ice machine worked very well. The outside can be deceiving, as it doesn't look like a 'nice' hotel. Some areas looked shady, but I felt safe the whole time I was on the property.

I asked for non-smoking room, they gave me the worse room smelling like cigarettes felt like had it all day on my clothes, room was not the cleanest.

Beds were comfortable. Place is pretty beat up.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I have no idea how this place has as high of a rating as they do. This place is very ran down. They do not keep the air on in these rooms when not occupied. They are HOT and musty from being shut up with no circulation. The bathrooms are cleaned to gas station standards. The beds are as hard as concrete. This is seriously the WORST place I have booked in years and I travel a lot!

Dirty room blood on floor and gross unclean shower

Our room did not have shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom, and we needed a crib/toddler bed but front desk staff said there were none available after we had already made it to the room then went back to check, other than that our stay was nice.

1st floor room as requested. clean comfortable room. decent area for dog to do her business. breakfast was very basic and anemic. I grabbed a coffee and skipped the rest.

No shampoo or soap in the shower

Location. Right off the highway. The sheets were badly stained. There were hairs in between the sheets that seem like they hadn’t changed them. The soap and shampoo dispenser were working.

Breakfast was terrible. Rooms were only partially cleaned. Check-in receptionist was very polite. We had problems with our electronic card and it took the act of Congress to get one reprinted overall we stated a lot better places.

The room was modern and clean. The fan in the bathroom was horribly loud, the water pressure in the shower was painfully high, I never got an answer about my accommodation and the towel policy is weird. "You must bring your dirty towels to the front office before you can get clean ones? Seriously? Also multiple towels had set in stains.

The ease of check in was great. The staff or management was rude and accused me of lying about who was on my reservation. I was trying to get some of the basic breakfast that wasn't even fully provided. Then I was charged a $100 on my card after my stay. I believe it was in retaliation for her being wrong about my reservation. I still haven't got an explanation for the charge.

Wish there was a better selection for breakfast and didnt understand why we couldn't take it to our room. But over all it was okay

It had a comfy bed Room wasn’t clean, fridge was off and dripping, hair all over the bed, door had a crack wasn’t fully closed, they didn’t clean off the counter or mirror, light switch was broke, had to change rooms because of safety concerns.

The price was affordable Bathroom was very dirty. Bed sheets and pillows had stains. There was hair on the pillows. The room was very musty and dirty.

The night manger was the most unprofessional and unfriendly person, but the whole staff follows suit. Yelled at when checking in. Never received confirmation of check out. The entire place smells like cigarettes. Dirty, disgusting, grimy. Don’t book this hotel.

The staff was pleasant The people staying next door to me (I was in 222) were outside their room being loud. Went outside and there was a baggy of drugs laying on the ground next to him. I left and came back and him and the drugs were still there and we heard some commotion and when we left a few minutes later, the guy and the drugs were gone. I did not feel safe and I will not be staying there again.

Power was out and the dude at the front desk just looked at us like we were stupid

Property looks way better online than in person. Room was dirt and they didnt bother to change the sheets, we had them come in and change all linens. Room was supposed to be a non smoking one but it stunk of smoke. We only stanyed one night though we planned on three. Spend more money and stay elsewhere, not worth the headache.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The beds could be a bit more comfortable, and you can hear some noise from guests on the upper floor, but for the price you pay, it’s a fair and practical option. Overall, a good choice for an overnight stay. We would consider staying again.

I was offered a different room to stay in when I reported the cigarette smoke, but I turned that down because I had moved everything in and I thought the space was good for my dog who had been in the car with me for over eight hours.

The room was horrible! The door didn't lock on the outside when you left the room. Anyone could have entered my room while I was going back and forth to my car carrying in luggage. I did not discover this until I was leaving the next morning. When I turned the A/C on, the curtain billowed out from the window so people could see in the room. I put pillows against the curtain to solve the problem, which was fine because the pillowcases looked like they had not been washed in a year and I was not going to use them. The room was a non smoking room that reeked of cigarette smoke and there was a burn mark in one of the bedspreads. I did not want to guess what the stain was on the bedspread.There was toothpaste on the mirror above the bathroom sink and it was obvious the tub and shower had not been cleaned in a long time. The nicest thing about this room was the flooring! It was very pretty, but again, had not been cleaned in a long time.

It was a clean room and the people at the front desk were always very courteous and helpful. I traveled with my dog and these rooms are suited to someone with a pet. Clean laminate floors and spacious and open. It is not fancy and a bit dated, but it was great for what it was. I loved seeing all the other dogs around as their owners took them for walks.

The rooms really need to be renovated

DO NOT STAY HERE WITH FAMILY. Rude staff, and dirty! Cigarette holes in bed spread, knife slashed in curtains.... 2 VERY VERY small DIRTY towels for THREE ADULTS.... (2 adults and 1 17 yr old so essentially 3 adults) just gross.

Terrible. The entry door had obviously been kicked in before. Door Handel came of in me hand trying to get out. People partying all night long..never stay at this place.

Staff were nice but “continental breakfast” was nothing like it was advertised on the website. They didn’t have any food available and the coffee was cold and it was the only beverage option.

The rooms were disgusting.

Not the greatest experience. Our room smelled bad, there was no soap to wash hands and blow dryer didn’t work. Had planned to eat the continental breakfast to get a quick and early start on our road trip at 6:30, but it was very minimal. Waffles and syrup (no butter) with no knives to cut, juice ran out, noir even cups in sight, and undercooked biscuits. Ended up having to buy breakfast.

Stayed here in a pinch. Do not recommend. Rooms are dirty & saw a crawl under the bed. Breakfast was limited and the area was a total mess. Waffle batter and syrup dripped all over the counter. No one kept the breakfast area clean during seevice or refilled the coffee cups, napkins or eating utensil.

The highway traffic was a little loud.

I paid for two rooms and showed up at 3am due to a traffic delay. The lady attending the lobby gave away my rooms and claimed since check in wasn’t until 2pm she couldn’t sell me new rooms.. I was offered no refund (basically stole my money and rooms)

This was a great property especially with a dog because there is a huge walk area in the back with a path. The room was huge. The receptionist was very good. Great location.

Traveling solo, I felt safe and that was important. Online reservation and check in were super convenient. Parking was well lit and easy. Clean toilet and shower with hot water and fresh towels. The room was rather odd and could use some easy upgrades: phone was missing a cord - was just sitting on the table unplugged; hair dryer had what looked like nail polish melted or smeared all over it with hair stuck to it; AC blew cold but I had to tuck the curtain up into the window sill or else the air blew it open consistently; front door closed and locked completely, but there was a ¼" gap or so where it closed that let in light and felt like it wasn't closed completely; bed was fine - but pushed way over against the wall that you could not comfortably see the tv from the bed as the room was so large it seemed like it was meant originally for 2 beds maybe. Overall average stay - what seem like a few simple fixes / updates would help tremendously.

The bedding and towels were stained and dirty. The mirrors were either a smeared mess or still had fingerprints from former occupant. There was food under the bed. There was blood on the toilet lid. Even though the floor was still wet from being mopped when we arrived, my feet still were made dirty from floor. It was very unsanitary.

This was a nice stay with pets. Very friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. Room had funny smell from AC, essential oils cleared it up. Walkable areas with lots of nicely cut grass all around the hotel. Breakfast room is nice and as pictured. Waffles, coffee, and options to choose from. Good stay for price.

Floor was a little dirty, not that you could see unless you walked barefoot your feet were dirty. The faucet leaked at the back of the counter with cold water. The metal frame on the bed would make noise if you sat on the bed or rolled over, the bed close to the door. The toilet was loose on the floor.

Don’t stay here! They don’t care for the people renting here! Stay away!!!! very dirty,bloody comforter and dingy towels! Yuck

I would appreciate it if you could provide a better breakfast. The room was also dimly lit and the hang soap was not working. The WiFi also would not work. The room was a bit dusty and they did not provide us with towels….Overall just better amenities. Thank you!

Stayed for one night on a road trip. For a low cost option this was exactly what we needed. Nothing more Nothing less. Breakfast was a nice addition.

Free breakfast consisted of just one biscuit in the warmer, and sauage gravy. The creamer was labeled as "2% milk" but when I poured it in my coffee, it was actually orange juice! I tossed the whole mess in the trash and went elsewhere for breakfast.The hotel was just really rundown. I booked a different hotel for the next night.

There were some concerns about damages. But i reported them and it was taken care of quickly.

The room was ok. The staff was helpful and responsive to our needs. I do wish they had some fresh fruit for breakfast though.

Upon arrival the manager was not present and an employee was there answering a myriad of phone calls but not able to check me it. I waited about 5-6 minutes for the manager to arrive. I reserved a king bed but she said that the "system" overbooks and there were no kings available so she provided a room with two beds which was a few dollars cheaper. The room was clean and well stocked for my stay. I was one room from the highway so I was serenaded by drag racing motorcycles each night of my stay. The waffles and biscuits and gravy were very good but the juice machine was out of service as was the decaf coffee service. Not much you can do about location but you should concentrate on service aspect of the business.

Tub faucet wouldn’t stop dripping and front door you could see daylight and cold air was coming through but overall good.

Good stay overall. Stopped in for one night and no issues overall. Make sure check for stains in room or anything damage to cover your deposit. Breakfast was missing protein option, since they had a shortage that morning. Bed was fine and we rested for the night, thank you.

It's always very relaxing when we stay here

It was clean. Had stained sheets and towels. Front desk worker for nights was not friendly or helpful. Bed springs were shot and you could hear them creak each time we moved in the night. Complimentary breakfast was almost non existent. It was cheap and was a good place if you have dog's. However, so many animals had used the same patch of grass you could smell the urine and could hardly walk anywhere there wasn’t poop.

The system kept crashing due to the holidays. The handled it like pros and kept a great attitude throughout even with some of the more karen customers infront of us. Would come back again.

we originally booked at the quality inn down the way and it was AWFUL so we had to leave and got to red roof inn and i’m telling you it was so comfy and nice and the staff was helpful only downside was our tv wasn’t working but besides that 10/10 especially for the price there was so much room in there we actually were supposed to leave the hotel at 6 am but couldn’t wake up

Very nice to stay in your road trip

Check was nice and easy. Super friendly and helpful front desk. We got in around 10pm with no issue. Room was nice and spacious thank you Baeleigh and Perry for keeping it clean. Breakfast a a plus with hot items available. Would definitely stay here again.

The floors were sticky and there were footprints on the floors, as well as hair and grime in the showers. We ended up not using the shower because of this. It was apparent the units are not thoroughly cleaned very well.

We.tried to have breakfast the next morning, the eggs were old and dried out, biscuits weren't mainyained as far as stocking them in serving trays.The morning staff were not paying attention to the over all breakfast area. I don't think we would come back to this location.

I have stayed here several times on my trips between Texas and Colorado and every time has been a great experience. I always have my dogs with me and this Red Roof is always welcoming to them. The hotel is easy to get to and fairly quiet. It feels safe and there's a good size area to walk dogs.

Called staff and they didnt do anything.

They did not bring fresh towels, we had to go downstairs to the receptionist to request the towels..I also had to go downstairs twice during our stay to get our room keys reactivated( we were locked out) The second time that we were locked out, we had dinner and packages and I had to leave my wife, locked out on the walkway..when I got to the front desk, no one was there..it was 8:35 p.m. Two other families arrived to check in, still nobody. My wife called and said she was cold, she went back to the car with food and packages.. still nobody..at 9:10 a young man finally showed up, he looked high, his eyes looked bloodshot, he looked out of it..I was pissed but didnt yell, got his name and pointed out that we all were waiting for somebody for a half hour to help us, including an elder.. We paid good money for our rooms and to be left out in the cold, literally, was a bad experience. So no, I want people to be aware of the lack of assistance when you need it most.

Our stay was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly an extremely courteous. The courtesy call we received when we first entered the room was pure class. We don't get that kind of service at places that are way more expensive! Whenever we stay in Amarillo, we will book here again!

They gave our rooms away to someone else, we had reservations 1 week before arrival date and paid for them in advance , now we have to deal with expedia to get our money back, the desk clerk wasn't at front desk, we waited 15 minutes before the cleaning employees texted him to go to front desk, then we hadto go find another hotel for room, he recommended another hotel ,turned out to flea bag hotel,but they at least had smoking room, not happy, when we stayed there before it was good, not nowwant refund for our room, who do i call thank you please respond to this review

Spacious rooms with comfortable bed and pillows. Great for the momey and worked well since for the pet policy. Overall the room was nice, clean and great! BUT tjat said, the only breakfast was waffles. Gravy but no biscuits. The stairwell and outside walkways were gross. If just cleaned up, the place would look more inviting. We would stay again.

I had a room in the back, room132, there just some scary looking people that was around. A guy was unloading a suv, a little girl told him "you steal", It was a older SUV and it had papertags on it. Made me worry about my car!

Room was very roomy. The bed was separated from the seating area.

The hotel did not look how it was in the pictures. The room was not clean, the beds were not made in the 1st room. The second room was so dirty, my huaband had to clean and wipe everything. We were so tired from traveling for 12 hours. We just had to stay there was bo more rooms available anywhere it was 2 am. The clerk was super bice she is the reason I gave 3 stars for staff. I will never stay here again

Very friendly staff and room was spotless. However our room was never serviced and we had to ask for clean towels and trash bags. Maybe that is just a respect of privacy. I will stay there again no problem!

The room was spacious and clean when I arrived. There was a problem with the key system so I did not receive a key to the room until my third day. The key would work in the morning but not in the evening. I had to go to the front desk to get the room rekeyed. The room door was warped so warm air came into the room making the air conditioner work harder. My room was not cleaned every day I was there but that was not a problem for me. I made my bed in the mornings. The staff was very nice and apologetic about the key situation. They had to run around opening doors for the lodgers. Breakfast was good and the dining area was clean.

Stay there whenever I'm in Amarillo, always clean and have handle any problems might have. Just so you know, I got some vouchers from 806 Sports Talk Radio in 2021 and I have used Red Roof ever since. I would say your promo there works!

Couch had stains. It smelled like someone just finished smoking. Hair on the floor. Tub was stained. Needs major improvements. Would suggest paying a little more for a newer cleaner hotel, especially for one night hotel.

Very disappointed in this property. The first room we got smelled like cigarettes. We got moved to a new room, the ac did not work. The kid at the front desk was great, he tried his best to make the situation better. The pictures online did not accurately show the property. The pool was a major reason we chose to stay there. It clearly had not been working for a while. The kid at the front desk was great, worked with me to get my money back.

Room had 3 lights overhead above bed, in the bathroom and one between the beds. desk area very dark and there was only one desk chair and nowhere else to sit except the bed or toilet. Breakfast was very limited. waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, plain bagel and applesauce - that was it nothing else. Would not stay here again.

The rooms are extremely unclean and dirty. The door to the bathroom had a hole in it as if someone had kicked it. I told the front desk when I checked in and he said not to worry about it I wouldn't be charged. Every time I needed to speak to someone at the front desk they were never there and I had to wait at least several minutes. The key cards never worked and I constantly had to request new ones every time I left my room. Won't be back that's for sure.

The service was phenomenal, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was above and beyond.

Beds are incredibly hard and air conditioning was very loud and had a burning smell. Walls were very thin and we could hear other guests and their animals thru out the night and early morning.

I booked a 2 queen and sofa bed..... checked in and gave me keys to a room that was not cleaned ....so went back to get another room and only got 2 queen beds....3 of us slept in 1 bed and EVERYTHING WAS DIRTY!!! Floor had hair ,mirror was filthy....i could not wait to check-out!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Easy to access room from the parking lot.

The pictures on-line look great, however this is a really old hotel and they have tried to make it look ok. The first room we where in smelled so bad of mold we had to change rooms the next day. Our daughters room had a shower faucet coming out of the wall and the neighbors left marijuana sitting outside there door with flip-flops for TWO days and the staff never picked it up. We booked this hotel for the pool so our grandkids could swim but when we got there they said it was closed until next year. Don't stay here!

Good stay, receptionist very helpful, went the extra mile to walk and check to make sure we got the room we wanted. Good breakfast. Clean place. Dog friendly with no dog fee. Good value.

Upstairs neighbors and children were up and running about in room and walkway all hours of the night.

Older property but good enough for one night stay. Just needed a place to sleep. Both front desk clerks I encountered were very friendly and helpful.
