Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Allen at Allen Event Center

we booked this as part of a wedding. The wedding rooms that were help for the wedding party were under the name Watts. The wedding was a Sunday night the night we were to stay. I was in the wedding as well as part of the wedding planer group and decorating. i called the hotel several time prior to the stay on late check in no call back. The day of on March 8th i called even asked for the manager/planner by name per the bride of the wedding. The person i talked to would not help me would not get me the person i needed to talk to did not call me back and basically said sorry not sorry. The bride even told them its for the Watts wedding and they were rude and basically said no so when the wedding ended mind you it was not that late maybe 8:30 or 9 pm we did not have a room to stay because they would not allow us to check in once my husband arrived. We lived over 2 hours away and had our 13 year old son with us it was very upsetting and horrible business and I will never ever stay at that band of hotel again.

Hotel is a little "tired" looking. Dings on wood type furniture in guest rooms and grand hallway, wallpaper pulling away from bottom corner outside shower. I gave the front desk clerk a list of things that needed attention. The heat was on in the elevator hallway on 9th floor and I did verbally tell the clerk. Isaiah, on the night shift, was professional, courteous and welcoming. Not your fault but the feeder road is being used for a drag strip at night. The people in the next room smoked cigarettes on the balcony and I could smell it.

It was arranged to insure comfort from the private courtyard with yard games to play to the cookies and lemonade in the lobby to welcome guests There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like

The only negative was that the bedside electrical outlets are so worn that charging adapters for our phones wouldn’t stay in place. The one on the side of the bed nearest the door didn’t work at all. For this reason I rated the property only fair on maintenance and the overall experience good instead of excellent.

Breakfast is strange. They show it is open until 11am on Saturday. However we could not get breakfast at 10am to our room. The property is very nice. It is a top level Marriott Courtyard. However if you really look you start to notice it is lacking proper maintenance. The lobby has stained ceiling tiles and there is just a sense that they are choosing to not maintain everything to a high standard. Room was clean. So the maid service is too notch. The restaurant is just kind of strange. The Starbucks never has anyone there. We waited several times in the mornings and could never find anyone. Definitely worth a stay. Priced well and the staff is very good!

The breakfast was not good. Everything was cold that was supposed to be hot. The only thing worth eating was the yogurt. Bacon, eggs, sausage, hot water for oatmeal was all cold. A great overall stay was spoiled by a bad $15 pp breakfast.

Great front desk staff and housekeeping. Room was tidy, large and comfortable beds.

For the cost per night our rooms air conditioning wouldnt drop below 74 degrees. It had a wood sheet for a hole patched in the ceiling and you could see other wet spots on the ceiling as well. Our room was a handicapped room also and we were not advised that so the room was not fit for us. Also the room smelled like a public pool lockerroom. Very unfortunate for what the price was. Id appreciate some type of compensation

Housekeeping Serviced the room every other day which is not very convenient during my stay, additionally 2 days before my checkout i requested late checkout at 2pm I spoke directly with the General Manager Luis and he informed that there would be a $50 charge, I was quite surprised by this response and found it disappointing.

the room was really nice and clean and the staff were friendly. I love the breakfast and the coffee shop and the atmosphere at the hotel. And I really like the location and the amenities in the area, a lot of my favorite stores were near by and some within walking distance. This was my third stay at this hotel, so I will be back and recommend it to others. Patricia Jones

Staff at breakfast buffet were awesome! Stayed there because it had an indoor pool for my grandkids but it was so cold they couldn’t use it.

The property was so beautiful, and the room was very nice and comfortable. The people at the front desk were so nice and accommodating! Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely be back.

Didn’t include breakfast because I didn’t eat breakfast. I would have to say it was a nice quite environment until late nite when more families checked in, parents weren’t watching their kids, but even with that I didn’t have to call the front desk once the parents got them calmed down

Breakfast was a bit expensive for me, so i didnt get it, but everything else was great, nice location, friendly service. Offered me water or coffee when i got in and let me check in early, told me where the best parking was. I was going to a hockey game right next door so the location was awesome and convenient to walk around.

Parking can definitely be a hassle even if you pay, considering their parking lot is small. What they don’t say is the 3rd level of the parking garage is also paid parking. They need to have better pricing for parking closer to the building vs 3rd level parking garage.

Bad smells in the room and asked replacement of hair dryer which was out of order, but no action.

Overall, it was a good stay considering it was the Labor Day weekend and the entire hotel was booked up. The room was clean, however the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable. The main bed was very good. When we checked in late at night, there were no linens or blankets for the sofa bed, so we had to call the front desk, and a staff member promptly brought them up. Parking was competitive because of several major events going on at the hotel during that weekend. We loved the breakfast place that was right across the street from the hotel.

First off Javion at the front desk provided the BEST customer service in a housekeeping related bad situation. He did his best to accommodate but the overall cleanliness ruined this stay. Kudos to him! He went above and beyond to help. Had to request 3 room changes for a total of 4 rooms. Room #1 -Arrived and found hair on the bathroom counter and sink. Requested room change. Room #2-Arrived hair in the bed when I checked and pulled back covers. Requested change. Room #3- Hair in the bed. Slept on couch due to the fact that I had a long day at work and needed rest. The hotel is beautiful, and my previous stay was great. Housekeeping needs to be held accountable for their lack of cleaning detail. Housekeeping missed the mark in a major way. I hope this is better for the next guest because we will not stay here in the future.3 room changes due to uncleanliness is not acceptable under any circumstance. Nearly always enjoy staying at a Courtyard by Marriott. Allen TX Courtyard did not disappoint. Very much appreciated Joey at check-in. Very polite and efficient. Room very nice.

Hot water didn’t work in the shower - makes you think it will until you’re in there and it goes straight cold. Walk into the room set at 70 and can barely function bc of the heat. Mini fridge didn’t work properly either.

This is the 3rd time we stay at this hotel for a convention. The facilities are great, the staff was very nice and helpful and it is centrally located to dining and shopping!

Absolutely amazing! Staff is superb! They surprised my husband with a cake for his birthday and upgraded our stay for this special occasion! This place not only has amazing staff but the rooms are so clean and everything was flawless! We will for sure be back! Love the wonderful hospitality and I greatly appreciate them making my husbands day more special!

The stay was great. I was surprised our room was so quiet, given all the things that were going on in that area. There were 3 events happening at the hotel, and something going on at the convention center next door. The part I didn't like is that the last time we stayed there, you didn't have to pay for parking, and now you do. I also didn't like that the room rate is for 2 people, and we had our 17 yr old daughter with us so they charged more for the room. We've never been charged more for having a third person. We also felt like the person that checked us in was kind of in the rude side. The stay itself was good, though.

Five night stay and 3 days we had to go down to Lobby to get our room key activated. 1 day had to get the shower drain cleared out so water would drain and the next day for the counter sink to be cleared. Albeit they came quickly, it was an inconvenience. Web site didn’t inform us there was a $15 daily parking charge or the free option was across the street in a parking garage. Breakfast was $15 or no food for you. With all the hotels in the area? I’ll likely choose one of them next time.

The staff was amazing! I can’t remember everyone’s name at the front desk but Hannah was great. She was warm, friendly, and answered all of my concerns. My wife is pregnant and we are set to deliver in a few weeks. It was her birthday so we did a staycation. It was an amazing experience! Please make sure to speak with Hannah when you arrive.

The property was very centralized for everything i had going on. It was very convenient. I had a couple minor issues with the room. The iron broke and decided to dump all the water out of it onto my shirt. The cleaners never cleaned my room after the first night. I had to ask them to clean it the second night when i caught them in the hallway. The second day, during the middle of the day, there was no one at the front desk. I waited for quite a while so i could purchase some items from their vending area, but ultimately gave up on that. The attatched restaurant had a very good breakfast though, and the staff there was very nice and attentive. Ultimately, it was a descent stay with just a few annoying setbacks.

First, the room. I boom a king size bed room and was given a handicap room which I’m not complaining because it was more space. Next, the parking! You have to pay to park! If I’ve paid to stay with you then my paid should be free. There was a free parking garage across the street but you could only park on 1 or 2 which was always full. Now, the fire pit that’s shown in their photos, it didn’t work and according to an employee it hasn’t worked in over a year and it’s the main attraction that made me book. Last is my biggest complaint the breakfast. They charge you $15 and the food is trash! It’s the exact same food as any other mediocre hotel with free complimentary breakfast and the food was cold. They didn’t even have flavored coffee creamer but the room itself it was clean but the a/c wasn’t working properly

The only complaint was the $15 a day fee for parking. That should have been built into the cost per night.

We always stay here whenever we have a baseball tournament in the Dallas area. It’s always very clean, super convenient, and the perfect area for shopping and food! 10/10 recommend

When I arrived, the concierge could not find my reservation and wanted me to pay for another room when I already paid. Then they didn’t have the room I booked available and downgraded me. Room had a hole in the wall. 3/5

Property was nice. My neighbor was very Loud and could hear them like they were in my room. I was not a fan of paying for parking. Also no room service was disappointing. Other than that rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

They also charge 15/day to park and they do not cut off charging the parking fee if the hotel is over parked. Drove around each night I was there trying to find a place to park that I was billed for only to find every spot taken. Also I did not see any type of parking security on sit so it made even less sense to charge customers to park. Do yourself a favor and stay at a cheaper place that doesn't charge you an absurd amount to eat substandard hotel buffet food that is included with the stay at other places and also doesn't charge you to park.

Very nice hotel but arrived at 2:35, with no other guests in the lobby, to see about checking in. Was told there is a $25 fee for early check in prior to 3. So decided to go get a drink at In and Out and came back. Also advised, you have to pay for parking on and around the hotel in an ample parking spaced area. Not much is complimentary for the price.

Staff was not attentive. Didn't have hot water when needed. We later was told to turn the faucet on first and let run and then turn shower on and let run together till water gets hot.

I love staying at the Courtyard Marriott. I stay there at least once a month now. I am returning this month February as well. Very comfortable, very clean and it’s close to to so many great places. I appreciate how everything is so well kept and the front desk customer service staff is always so welcoming!

The facility was beautiful, but the bedrooms smelled like there was a plumbing problem. We were there with family and their rooms had the same issue, one of the rooms did not have hot water.

It is a clean and convenient hotel. I did find the mattress to be uncomfortable- especially because I am pregnant. I had a very unpleasant night’s sleep in the bed.

A very nice hotel with possibly too few people working. I say that because the pool was not stocked on towels, and they seemed to have just one girl handling all the requests that night. But our junior suite was great! Very comfortable, loved the bathroom, and the breakfast was the highest end of middle. Pool was very large, so the water was not as warm as "heated" would imply, but it was not completely intolerable. Truly a nice facility. It just seemed very... empty.

Every time we come to Allen we stay at this hotel and it never disappoints!! Great service, clean rooms and the breakfast is delicious!! Also this week they’re putting in new TVs and mattresses!!! Can’t wait till we’re back in a couple months to try it out!

Dated, poor quality beds and bedding. Front desk unresponsive. I'm a Bonvoy member and have stayed here before a few years ago. Would not stay here again, it has not been maintained well.

The hotel is located in a great spot for shopping and eating. The parking garage across the entrance is easy to get in and out of. The lobby was presentable and always had water and cups. The bad part was the actual rooms. They are seriously outdated. The bedding, towels, and pillows are old and so thin from washes. The worst part was the plumbing. The bathroom produced a horrible smell of sewer. We were originally on the 7th floor where the adjoining lock was broken and due to safety issues we requested to fix or move us. The smell was worse on the 7th floor too. The 6th floor smell was bad but we knew it was a deep plumbing drain pipe issue that the engineer wouldn’t be able to fix while we were there. Luckily we were out of the room most of the day. We did not use the pool or buffet.

Staff is wonderful. Friendly, provided a champagne toast to the new year. Only complaint. Matresses in our room were horrific. In great need of replacement. That isy only complaint.

This is our go-to location. Always outstanding service. Love the welcoming touch of having room lights on upon arrival.

I really enjoyed my stay at this Courtyard. In addition to its great location, the hotel was reasonably priced, well-appointed, clean and comfortable! Check-in was efficient and the room was nice and quiet even though the hotel was almost fully booked. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
