Best Western Plus Crossroads Inn & Suites

Overall, not too bad. We didn’t use any of the amenities as we only stayed 2 nights (I was attending a golf tournament). Other than the few crumbs left in-between the couch, the room was clean. The front desk manager actually came up and attempted to vacuum it up. It appears the hotel is understaffed where employees have multiple duties. I overheard that new management made a decision on that matter - most likely to reduce cost.

The location . The AC was set too cold and very noisy. They were a musky smell all over the property. The breakfast buffet was poor quality.

Clean facilities. Great location. Staff was amazing. I was even tickled that they had toothbrushes and toothpaste if requested. Breakfast was pretty good for complimentary. I have no complaints except the price. I feel it could have been cheaper to be a best western, and the parking lot was empty! $246 for one night was a lot for a small town.

The sheets were soiled and the toilet was blocked up. Regular maintenance and proper staffing could prevent these issues. So instead of a 3☆ they get 1.5☆

Staff were all pleasant and efficient. Breakfast had a decent window of availability, and a good variety. There was plenty of parking. I appreciate that disposable plates and plastic utensils were left in the breakfast area throughout the day, it made handling my dinner needs very convenient. The wifi was horrible. Not even password secured??? The elevator door was very slow, and I'm personally not a fan of the "inspection certificate on file at office." I think something may have been structurally wrong with one of the bedframes in my room, but thankfully there were 2 beds, so that's somewhat negligible. Within the first 2 minutes of being in my hotel room, I found a dirty sock left behind by the previous occupant. Also, something gross in the recessed handle of the refrigerator door. I would still consider this hotel significantly better and cleaner than others I have stayed in prior.

Even though we made a reservation a couple of months ago, I was told when arriving only King size rooms were ready, and we could not check-in at 3:00. We were originally told that I did not have a reservation. Only after I brought up the email from Hotels.com did they check their records and found the reservation.

The pool was too cold stated it was 82 degrees and it was so cold no one would get in and we let management know and they said it was working. This is one of the reason why we chose the hotel. The whirlpool was dirty.

Our room was fine and breakfast was better than what you usually find, BUT we had requested a "quiet room" upon checking in and were put in a room that adjoined another room where people were loud 2 nights of our 3 night stay - and so loud the second night that we had to call the front desk. We were told that the people in that and another adjoining room were there for a "party".... and when we complained we could hear them talking about knocking on doors to find out who had the nerve to complain about them. Very intimidating, yet the desk seemed unable to do anything. We will not come back!

The hotel is a little run down. The elevator was questionable as the door was sluggish to open. We took the stairs. It seemed like there were a lot of people staying there, so it was busy and noisy. Doors slamming late at night. It was good for the price.

Staff was very friendly and accommodated late checkout, but card making machine wasn’t working so had to have staff escort to door to unlock so I felt like I couldn’t explore amenities in hotel

The hotel was great! I was not happy with the rate Expedia charged me. I paid $149 for one night through Expedia. Found out from the hotel that I would only have paid $133 a night if I had called the hotel directly. So much for the cheapest rates!

Clean an easy to get to . The staff was exceptional also and would like to acknowledge Brannon for helping us by getting hubby the shower chair and showing us how the light worked .The breakfast selection was very good also we plan on staying there on our return trip. Didn’t care for the pillows

Upon arriving I was given a lot of disappointing information. 1) The elevator was not working. 2) A SERIOUS SECURITY ISSUE- The key machine was not working- meaning I had no key to my own room and had to be let in directly by a desk clerk. If I had left just to get ice or anything I would have had to prop the door open with the door latch in order to not lock myself out. As a woman traveling alone I chose not to leave the room period once I was in it. 3) Room was unkempt. Dirty fridge, microwave, food on walls, stains on sheets, only a partial roll of toilet paper in room with no extra roll available had I needed it which thankfully I didn’t. Also, I was not made aware that I was not going to have a tub. Had a walk in stand in shower instead. All in all definitely was expecting a prompt response from the Best Western by email addressing my concerns and issues I had to unexpectedly deal with. No such communication so far and it’s almost been a week since my stay. Must say I was dissatisfied and extremely put off by the lack of info when I booked the room and lack of effort to reach out to me in regard to my complaints.

Property is undergoing updates but we were made aware of this when reservations were made. The houskeeping service could be improved, only cleaned rooms and fresh linens every 4th day unless requested more often. The staff was very friendly.

Was happy with the facility, need light bulb in night stand light and tiles in bathroom are loose. Craig, the breakfast host was upset with his hours being reduced, I hope management will reconsider as he does an excellent job

Room itself was clean and well appointed. Good location right off the interstate. HVAC unit was noisy when we got there but my wife didn't want to change rooms. By our 3rd night I only slept about 2 hours because the HVAC fan motor was a lot louder. The pillows were extremely hard. When you laid your head on the pillow your chin was on your chest. Your head was always angled upward not inline with your body

The location is good with easy access to the interstate. Our issue was regarding the housing keeping or rather lack there of. We had booked a 7 night stay and not once did we get house keeping done. On day 4 I requested more towels and coffee for the in room machine from the front desk and was informed that they were extremely short staffed with only 2 house keepers for the entire hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly kind, apologetic and this review was not a reflection of them.

The front desk attendant took forever to check me in while small talking another customer, I reserved the room for 4 people and had to ask for additional towels and pillows. When they brought the stuff to the room I was told to come down if I needed anything else so they wouldn't have to do it. The shower had a really low flow of water

Rooms are clean. Your equipment is old and noise doesn't let you rest well. The pool and hot tub are not clean. It would be nice to keep up with it since you have a big advertisement about it.

This is a good location by the interstate for people traveling or those who want easy access to Charlottesville or Richmond during their stay. Lots of wineries and beautiful countryside in the nearby area too. Zion Crossroads has lots of dining options if you want to eat lunch or dinner nearby. Highly recommend Rhett's, which is an easy walk. Rooms were clean and beds extremely comfortable! Breakfast was decent, but one day the pancake machine wasn't working and the next day the oatmeal was cold. The pool tiles are very grimy to the point that people (just kids, I hope) had carved the names and other words into the grime. Gross, but the water seemed otherwise clean. The property was recently renovated and the lobby now feels cold and sterile where before it felt cozy and inviting. There is a new Hampton Inn nearby and it feels like they tried to hard to compete with that model.

They double charged me for this room and refuse to refund me for one. Charged me through my debit card that was linked to Expedia and then charged me on my master card. Then they booked a room for me on the wrong night and expected me to p pay for it and won’t refund that either. That are scammers!!!!!!’

Very nice hotel in great location and shopping/dining was walkable. Very convenient access to I-64. Hubby thought the bed was too soft, but I was okay with it.

When we woke up after the first night we had ants 🐜 on the table and bathroom. The hot tub had stuff floating init like from the bottom so it looked dirty. The staff was amazing we would stay again

Was disappointed that the heat did not work. We did not realize it until the middle of the night when we woke up freezing . We called the front desk and we were told to unplug it and let it reset. It did not work. Was also unhappy that breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30 unlike most that start at 6. I had to leave for work without breakfast

The hotel was okay and the staff was very helpful. The only issue was with the bed. Mattress has clearly seen better days. Very obvious that it was old and sunken in the middle. The pillow case had a stain on it which made me give it a second ding.

I have stayed here multiple times now because of the proximity to my granddaughter's home. It's convenient and clean. My favorite part this trip was the spa tub beside the swimming pool. The heated spa felt excellent after a long drive

The Best Western had easy access from the main roads and Interstate. ample parking and a very quiet area. There is an Ihop an Rhett's restaurant right near the property and food and service at both were excellent. Definitely will stay there again.

Pancake machine was unattended, instructions obscured, bag needed replacing, no help offered even though I was clearly trying to figure it out for 10 minutes or so. The have fully renovated the 4th floor and are just about to finish the 3rd.Book a room on the 4th floor. The bathtub had a dirty ring around it. I refused to step into it. The ac/heat was very noisy (couldn’t sleep). I had to move to a different room twice during my stay of five days. They were working on the vents on the roof of the top floor, and I was on the top floor. I did not sleep for two nights of the five I stayed. The manager was NOT a very pleasant man.

The sides of the bath tub was so tall, it was hard to get in and out. An elderly or person with limited mobility would have a very difficult and dangerous time getting in and out to take a shower.

Overall, great. Bathroom floor was a little sticky, and the worktable/desk had a wobbly leg.

However, beds were ok and room wasn’t dirty. The bright spot was the gentleman taking care of the breakfast and the coffee was great!

It was very convenient location, Starbuck was right next to it and good restaurant within a walking distance.

Except for the broken elevator the last day (I was on the 4th floor) everything was excellent.

The property was dated and had a damp or musty smell when entering. The room was clean but the mattress was old and worn making it uncomfortable.

Breakfast was good. Had to re-program door key three times. No housekeeping service 3 of 4 days. Bathroom exhaust fan not working. Slowest elevator we have ever experienced.

The property is outdated and needs some TLC. It's an older property and you can clearly see the wear and tear. It needs to be redecorated and brought up to current trends. The bedding is scratchy and not of good quality. The bathrooms are in dire need of an overhaul and the rest of the property itself needs to be modified. Especially if you are charging $300 a night. Not worth the money.

There were many choices for breakfast and the kitchen staff was nice and friendly. The only thing they could do to make it better would be better mattresses. The mattress was hard like it might have been a mattress/ spring together. I like soft to firm mattresses. Overall it was an excellent stay.

We booked this for family members who were coming to visit my very ill wife. Ordinarily, family would have been most welcome to stay at the house but I was hesitant to upset my wife's routine. At the same time, I was hesitant to book them a room at a hotel I had never stayed in; the last thing I wanted was for my wife's family to be upset about my wife's declining health and then have to return to an uncomfortable, unclean or otherwise unsuitable hotel each evening. Fortunately, this Best Western came through for us - my wife's family was very comfortable during their stay there and could not say enough nice things about the hotel! They complimented the friendliness of all of the staff, their proficiency at their jobs, the comfort and cleanliness of their room, they even commented on how much they liked the rustic brick and wood decor and comfort in the lobby. They did visit the pool for some exercise and a little relaxation one evening and remarked on the cleanliness of that area, as well. They appreciated the ample free parking and the fact that it was well- lit at nighttime. The IHOP next door to the hotel was a bonus convenience. THANK YOU, Best Western, for making their visit as comfortable and pleasant as it could be, given the circumstances. I will be happy to book rooms here for visiting family and friends in the future, knowing they will be cared for by kind staff who are good at their jobs and that their rooms will be clean and comfortable!

Only problem was in first room which had mold in/on the ac/heater unit. Notified the staff who immediately gave us a new room.

We were told on check in the property was short staffed and not to expect much in housekeeping (fresh towels available, housekeeping on demand) The inside and surrounding property was cluttered, dirty, un kept and did not reflect the room rate at over $200/ night. This is a great hotel. Conveniently located near the highway. Great restaurant , Rhett’s, just across the parking lot. Very friendly staff.

First I want to say the staff was great my problems were the room was very dingy and humid to the point where everything felt wet there were plaster spots all over the room the pool was not heated like the site and the sign on the property stated and the hot tub was really dingy for the price that I paid per night I would have expected a lot more there has been other places I’ve paid less and it was a lot nicer and on the last day and night of my stay the entire floor smelled like marijuana when I told front desk they didn’t offer to move me or anything the response was “ok” when I book a non smoking hotel that’s what I expect to get. I am a cigarette smoker and I get a non smoking place so my family doesn’t have to put up with the smell they could have done something to fix the situation but nothing was done. Also when I book a suite how crazy am I that I actually expect a suite not a tiny fridge and microwave

Nothing special but location was good. Good block out curtains. Beds were pretty comfortable. Did not use the pool. Weight room elliptical was old. WiFi wasn't working in our rooms-perhaps due to the storm or overuse on the weekend. Could keep our pet there, so very convenient. Breakfast was good. Has an automatic pancake maker.

Everything was so clean and quiet! The staff were super friendly and helpful!

Staff was very friendly, continental breakfast was very good each morning. Hotel was quiet and beds very comfortable. We didn’t have a chance to utilize pool etc as we were there to attend a wedding so we were busy.
