It was close to my destination where I was going The place wasn’t clean and the lil compact refrigerator didn’t work and they didn’t provide breakfast anymore. You”ll find pics below . The tub didn’t have a stopper. There was no soap up in the dispensaries. The floors was dirty. It was like they didn’t even clean the place. I’m very dissatisfied with my stay.

AC worked, room is spacious and clean. But no fridge, no ice bucket, and no cold water. Seriously. The water from the cold tap is almost hot. And when I left on my bike and wanted to fill my water bottle with ice at 6am, I couldn’t get to the ice maker bc the office was locked. Thank goodness for the gas station down the street.

The website needs to take down the free breakfast. Some people count on that and that was very disappointing. Front office , was very wonderful to me. They definitely need to do better about communicating with the their website , and make the breakfast available it's very helpful for people who are on a budget.

The lobby smelled awfully of cigarette smoke upon check-in, and the first red flag was multiple signs stating that the breakfast that was supposed to be included in the nightly rate was no longer being offered. The room reeked of chemicals, even though it was one of the dirtiest rooms in the US that I’ve ever experienced. The walls were covered with all sorts of brown, red, purple, pinks splatters (like old food, blood, wine, lipstick maybe?). There were only 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, 0 washcloths, all of them were ratty & tattered. All of the soap/shampoo dispensers were empty, and there was a single tiny bottle of cheap “conditioning shampoo”, so maybe 1 person could shower and clean themselves. The jacuzzi (one of the amenities) was long out of service, covered and boarded up but in a super ghetto way. The pool was old and cracked and hadn’t been cleaned. Surfaces in the room were also very dirty, and we didn’t want to walk around in bare feet in the room. I found a large black spider crawling on me in the middle of the night. The air conditioner didn’t have the option to keep the fan on constantly, so it woke us up every time it turned on/off. The nail in the coffin was the huge cockroach on the wall above my husband’s bag which was the first thing I saw when we woke up in the morning. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I’m a platinum Hotels.com member and have stayed in tons of hotel/motels from luxury to bottom of the barrel, and this was by far the worst.

Hotel and property showing a bit of wear and tear. The included breakfast at the adjacent Landing Restaurant is no more. Kleenex was not to be seen in room. Some room lights did not work. Musty A/C smell. Grounds were a bit overgrown. Trash cans full. Ahem. Plenty of hot water in rooms. Quiet environment at night. Plenty of parking. Never used the pool, but it looked fine. Great location. Easy walking distance to restaurants and a market across the way was convenient. Small fridge and microwave in room. Nice. Oringinal historic charm of hotel still remains, but it seems Yuma overall is economically stressed a bit and this seems to be reflected in the hotel.

Sometimes it's the small things that make all the difference—like the roaches in the bathroom and the cigarette butts scattered thoughtfully around the property walkways and right up to your doorstep. Sometimes it's things you can't even see, like the missing smoke detector, or what the bathroom fixtures looked like before they were broken or disappeared, and even the sickening chemical smell of the room odorizer used to try to cover up the smell of someone smoking in the room. It's even the hundreds of dollars you'll never see again when you realize booking here was a mistake and leave after the first night and the Coronado and OYO refuses to refund the unused three days because, well, they don't have to. What's not to like about roaches, cigarette butts, broken fixtures, and overpowering chemical odorizers, unresponsive hotel management, non-existent customer service from OYO?

We had some issues with our dental appointment across the border so the staff gave us an extended late check out. They were extremely helpful and cared about our experience. The room was average for the price, but not the cleanest. The toilet was soiled under the seat, so I had to clean it myself. A large roach appeared, requiring some personal extermination work. I will not return to this motel again.

The gentleman at the check in desk was pleasant, and check in was quick. Although the room was clean, the carpet is dirty, and had a huge stain by the door..I wore my flip flops in the room..no way would I walk on that carpet in my bare feet. The bed was clean and comfortable. Please let the cleaning person know the shower gel in the shower was empty...I used the bar of soap from the sink for my shower, but I had to get out of the shower to go for the soap...so I had water to mop up. And help may be hard to get these days, but whomever is cleaning...the grime around the faucet handles is not hard to get off.. you just need a scratcher pad--I cleaned it up with the wash rag because it grossed me out...I want a clean sink. I then was done using that wash rag. Really, for the money the room was alright, but until that carpet is removed, I would not stay there again.

The room was clean but smelled of chemicals. No refrigerator, no microwave. The hand soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty. Plenty of hot water though. The bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast was very minimal and not good. The swimming pool has a bunch of junk at the bottom. The photos show a hot tub and a gym, but the hot tub is out of order and the gym does not exist.

I was given a room next to very noisy people who were up all night going in and put of their room. With the size and number of rooms at this place I could have been at least two doors down. It was not a good stay. I have stayed here for many years, and been really satisfied, but I will venture out to a different hotel my next visit.

Could not reach the hotel front desk by phone, you can't even find a good number. No one was at the office to check in. When we did get to the room it was very run down and found a cockroach on the bed under the runner. Road noise was so bad we couldn't sleep. And the fan sounded like it was on its last leg.

The staff were very friendly. The group I was with killed 2 cockroaches in their room. My room just had a cricket in it that I found, which I was happier to deal with than a cockroach. My room just felt dirty and nasty. Like it needs a deep clean treatment. The floors were clean, but everything else has been neglected. There was dried blood on the outside of my door. House keeping was also lacking. They only came in to replace the towels and just folded my blankets back over but didn’t make the bed. Just seemed strange and pointless to come in and do that. It was also fairly noisy being next to a busy road. It’s a historic building so that was cool, but just needs a little TLC treatment.

We have stayed here many times, & are very disappointed & cannot ever stay here again. Toilet was leaking at base & chain broke in middle of night so no flushing. Tub very nasty & rusted. No smoke detector, only wires hanging out of wall. Baseboards were gross, holes in the walls, as it appeared carpet had been ripped out. Sink leaked & missing parts. Room should never have been rented out until renovation completed (there was new flooring & new tv). My socks were covered with hair. Room used to come with great breakfast at restaurant next door; now just cereal, waffle, packaged muffins, & juice. I have photos, & would request a refund. Very sorry as we used to love this hotel.

We used to love staying here. Unfortunately the hotel has recently changed hands to a corporate owner (oyo) who does not take pride in the historic property and it is nothing like it used to be. This will be our last stay here (November 2025). It was dirty and unkempt. Broken down cars in the parking lots, cracks in the dirty walls. Etc. it’s a shame they let it go the way they did.

The hotel was cute from the outside, but inside my room it smelled like a carton of cigarettes was smoked in 1974 and never went away, and then attempted to be covered up with a strong cleaner, but just layered one bad smell over another. The microwave was missing and the bathroom ceiling leaked during the rain creating a big puddle in the middle of the floor and I almost slipped in the middle of the night (Room 120). People were working on their cars in the parking lot which felt weird and the road noise was really loud. The front desk personnel were nice, but I wouldn’t stay here again, which is sad cuz I come through Yuma often and need a regular cozy spot to lay my head for the night. The search continues!

There were multiple buildings at the Coronado The one we stayed in had an unkempt parking lot. A man sat on a stump in front of our car drinking a bottle of whiskey for several hours He has company for part of the time The door to our room didn’t lock and there was a big space under the door There was a stain on the sheets We slept on top of the covers and barely slept wondering whether our car or our room would be broken into.

This motel should not be on Hotels.com. Let me start by saying that I don't believe it was the fault of the woman at the front desk. She tried to make our stay ok, but the motel itself was disgusting. The first room we went into had a queen bed, cigarette butts, a dirty q-tip, and other trash outside the door area. Plus, there were sketchy men hanging out. Went back to desk and she gave us a different room in the same section of the motel that had a king bed supposedly. The key unlocked the door, but the door would not open. It appeared to be bolted from the inside and that somewas in there. Went back again to desk. She gave us a 2 bedroom in the main area of the hotel, and we thought initially that it was okay. We took off our shoes to relax and soon discovered that the floor was filthy. My husband showed me the bottom of his feet and they were like he had been running around barefoot in dirt. He said the floor felt gritty. My feet were equally filthy. There was shampoo in the shower container, but no soap, no ther bars of soap available at either sink. The control of the faucet on the sink was facing off to the side. There was some name etched into the mirror frame. This motel is in a sorry state, and apparently the management doesn't care enough to bring it back up to at least a clean and repaired level. I hate to leave bad reviews, but couldn't let this one go.

Many of the reviews were good so we booked a room for one quick night passing through but it was a bad choice! They gave us room 130 which was down the street from the lobby and the main part of the hotel and there was a lot of loud partying going on all night long and people coming in and out of the room next-door to us. The walls were thin and the interior was very worn down and the window lock was even broken. If you decide to stay here, I would definitely ask for a room near the check-in lobby. However, unfortunately, I do not recommend this hotel. It could be cute because it’s historic, but there’s a lot of riffraff going on there and it didn’t feel secure or clean! Really disappointing.

An old school motel that was a joy to experience. Wondered how many people had stayed there over the years and enjoyed the motel. Each area is unique and I loved the 'executive' suite with its beautiful tiled bathroom. While its age shows the room was clean and obviously well cared for. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. But keep in mind this isn't the Hilton, thankfully!

We stayed at this property for years back when it was a Best Western. Our room reaked of smoke but wanted to stay there as our was with us when we stayed before and we had our granddaughter and wanted to share the experience with her. Paint was peeling on the doors and water leak spots on the ceiling. So dissapointing and so sad due to the historical value. We did get room spray from the office which covered the cigarette smell some.

It was 108 in Yuma and I was told the airconditioning should not go above 70 or it would "freeze up." It took over an hour to cool the room. The room was in a dark corner, and it smelt so heavy of urine that I bought a room deodorizer. Ultimately, I just packed my stuff up around 9:00pm and went to a different hotel.

I even got upgraded to a king size by the kind lady at the front desk. Loved it! Room was spacious. It had a desk, office chair, comfortable sitting chair, dresser, 2 nightstands, decent sized TV, microwave, refrigerator, a big closet, everything you expect to find in a room, dispensers full of soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and the bathroom was a great size with a jetted tub. Should have been amazing! Unfortunately, it's all very run down. Very old, very dirty, broken furnishings, etc. The tub was plugged and full of standing water from the constant dripping of the faucet (decided against using the jetted tub), the toilet handle was so broken it was hanging off, the shelving in the bathroom was broken in half, the room was missing the smoke detector and left exposed wiring, and the carpet had wet spots. The hotel is also in a less than desirable neighborhood. My problem for not checking first! There was also NO seal around the door so all the heat, cigarette smoke, and noise were also present inside. Super disappointed when there is SO much potential here. Would not return for another stay.

Like--great location, interesting history, good price with spacious room. Dislike--pool still is not open after many, many months, worn and dirty carpet, dirty side walks with cans full of garbage waiting to be taken away.

Checking in late is a nightmare because you have to call a phone number and hope they answer, then later someone shows up to give you the key. Card key also stopped working and I couldn’t get back in to my room, and again had to call the number and no answer. I finally got a call back after I had called the non-emergency police since my belongings where in the room.

The room was extremely outdated. The shower was small with a broken drain plate and it would not drain. The shower head was low. The exterior of the hotel needed some attention. It had debris blown around the entrance of the room and the tiles had not been cleaned in a very long time. Exterior taps were leaking. Pool was empty, not one drop of water in it. Breakfast was not there when told it would be available. No one was in the lobby at 6:40. Was told it would be ready at 6:30. Doors were locked and dark inside. Do not stay here. Upon looking at the reviews and analyzing what we could have missed, most of the reviews were from a Lisa or an Eva, leaving 10 out of 10 reviews.

This has always been my go to hotel to stay in Yuma. I've stayed here at least 5 times prior. I was disappointed that when I stayed this time they no longer offer breakfast at the restaurant next door. They also tore out one of the pools and the other was empty, "under construction." There website did not indicate any of these changes. The room was also not as clean as they normally are.

There was a naked woman on drugs running around the parking lot, and the people next to me smoked pot the entire time. The traffic noise was high, even in the middle of the night. The area has declined since the last time I stayed there. The area did not feel safe. I will not be returning.

After calling a number posted on the door a ring camera started talking to me. Told me someone would be by to help in a few minutes. I waited and they arrived in less than 5 minutes, perhaps a night manager or staff that was working nearby. Straight to the point they got me a key and told me where the room was. I was staying in a set of older rooms towards the back of the main complex of buildings. Walking through the parking lot I noticed a car with all the doors open and some legs sticking out. Someone was passed out inside or something. Parking lot was full of trash debris and piles of feces. Rooms around me were empty but across from my room was a loud group of people yelling and making lots of noise. I got into the room and was immediately hit with the smell of moldering decay. I chose not to sleep in any of the bedding provided. Everything looked old and in disrepair. I chose this location because I needed something affordable near the train station I could walk to when I arrived. There are other places to stay nearby but they were much more expensive. But next time I will think twice about paying less and getting a skid row experience like this.

We always stay at the Coronado when we come to town to spend time with family and will continue to do so. . We were put in a room that we were warned would have carpet changed soon. And it definitely needed it. Also, the faucet in the bathroom was broken. It worked, but it was hard to operate and the top was popped off of it. The furniture was also pretty beat up. Basically the room needs an update and we will request not to be put in that particular room in the future.

I have no idea how this place got such good reviews. The room wasn’t clean, items left in the room by last guest, window had no working lock, door looked like it had been kicked in a few times, you could see light coming through the door, trash all around outside. Didn’t feel safe or like I could sleep in the bed. Left shortly after checking in didn’t feel safe or comfortable staying here. I’m used to older hotels but this one needs some serious work not a bad area just a bad hotel.

I have stayed at the Coronado Motor lodge 6 or 7 times now over the last 5 years while getting dental work done in Algondones, Mexico. I love the fact you can pull right up to your room for easy access to your car and unloading. The rooms are clean, the tv's are large, I had a super comfortable king bed with 7 pillows. I was comfortable and slept well for my one-night stay at the Coronado Motor Hotel. I appreciate that they are refurbishing the hotel, and it appears to be still in process. It is a very good location, and I walked into the historic downtown for shopping and dinner. The hotel itself is quite large, and the room perfectly suited my needs. The main thing I didn't like is that you couldn't reach the front desk. I couldn't find a phone number for them so I called Oyo. The person that I talked to couldn't reach them either and I asked for the front desk number to tell them that we would be arriving late. That number was disconnected.. the Oyo staff person said he would tell them we were arriving late. He didn't because he obviously couldn't. I had asked for an accessible room. By the time we got there they had given it away. My friend and I who I wanted to tell them I was with got put on the extremely noisy corner by the fire station. They put me in a room they said had a grab bar. It did not. The front desk staff was helpful and gave me a rubber mat and did get one grab bar installed the next day. You really need to be able to talk to the front desk! Otherwise we'd like the place.

We were in 130: Tight parking; no water in pool or spa; talk etc. audible from outside & through walls, loud music & vehicles, Had to SLAM doors to close; dispensers missing shower gel, lotion, shampoo--or didn't work; low, creaky toilet; desk lamp out; only 1 washcloth; phone didn't work; "breakfast" minimal.
