Delicious and congenial.

The location was just minutes from the waterfront, entertainment and restaurants! We had a balcony view from our room, and it was beautiful. The fireplace made the room comfy warm and relaxing. The Owner of the house shared the history of the Hornsby House and Yorktown back in the day. It was definitely a bonus! Breakfast was served every morning, and it was the BEST!

Beautiful Inn. Love the family history there. The breakfasts are amazing. The location is great, 2 minute walk to the beach and shops and restaurants. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I wish the water pressure was a little better.

Couldn't have been more perfect. Beautiful, comfortable & spotless accommodations. The breakfasts were so delicious! There were homemade Christmas cookies, chocolates & coffee available. There wonderful places to rest, read or chat with others. Tom & Lexie were amazing hosts; informative & easy to talk with. It was our second time at Hornsby House Inn & we'll likely be back again.

Wonderful place! Rich history, lovely inn keepers! Even got a history lesson over breakfast from the owner! Very comfortable and conveniently located.

Grounds and staff were exceptional and the breakfast was very delicious.

Elegant. Wonderful breakfast. The location is amazing. Literally across the street from the Victory Monument , which we could see from our room with the morning sunrise behind it. The stairs to our room, but pretty hard to avoid in an older house like this.

We enjoyed the Chesapeake Room for its peaceful quiet spirit and comfortable bed. We also enjoyed several rooms around the Inn in the evening.

Care takers were very knowledgeable of the history of the house and town. Very clean and comfortable. Very welcoming. Breakfast and the atmosphere around the table that was inspired by the care taker was very refreshing and relaxing. Totally enjoyable experience.

The staff at the Inn is so helpful and accommodating, the breakfast is delicious. Plus the added bonus of a live history lesson on the Battle of Yorktown during breakfast was so amazing!

Beautiful inn ! Great breakfast !Friendly staff ! Don’t stay in room over kitchen !! Can hear all kitchen noise early as they are making breakfast . Also a trip hazard between room and bathroom! I fell there😒We were moved to the monument Grand room ! Absolutely stunning large room with a fireplace! Request that one if you can! No elevators so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs . This inn is beautiful and i would definitely stay again!

Loved the property and staff. Very homey and welcoming. Close to old Yorktown.

Sadly our plans prevented us from being able to stay for breakfast. Didn’t like leaving!

Would recommend it to anyone…especially for the historic surroundings.

Beautiful home, very nice staff, easy to find, good parking, very comfortable bed and great hot water. Quiet unless guests are downstairs in the den talking to late at night which some did. But they were enjoying themselves it was not an unreasonable amount of noise. A little pricey, breakfast was just above average. But these are minor issues.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. We loved enjoying coffee on the porch watching people and dogs walk by and the occasional deer!

This was a B&B and a very nice one with a delicious, sit down, served breakfast.

What was not to like? Beautiful B&B, perfect location, and wonderful staff. Absolutely loved meeting David and getting to know the history of the house and of Yorktown. Also loved our room! Can't think of a thing!

Read through so many reviews of hotels in the area and couldn’t find anywhere to stay with exceptional reviews until I came across the Hornsby Inn. After reading the reviews and experiencing staying here myself I can’t say enough good things! The Hornsby Inn is so quaint, clean, and gave us such a personable experience. The breakfast was amazing and so was the view. The Inn is surrounded by so much history and near the water with a nice area of shops and restaurants. We will definitely be returning 😊

This was an excellent stay. Due to the heat wave our room was upgraded at no charge to a cooler more spacious room. Breakfast was very tasty and the service was very caring. At breakfast we were greeted by the owner himself David Hornsby. He gave us a historical telling of the Hornsby House along with historical facts of the area with respect to the Revolutionary War. It was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again and we plan to do a special event here too.

Beautiful location and fun town. Loved the ship ride on the York River. The house was perfect in every detail. Clean and comfortable, great breakfast and hospitality.

Really like the location. very convenient. superb bfast. grounds well kept. nice accomodations. The TV options were lackluster and you may want to repaint the 3rd floor windows is all I'd recommend. thank you. had a great time.

Furnishings and decor were marvelous. What a beautiful house. Loved all the family pictures and the history of the house and town. Breakfast was good but not spectacular.

The food was delicious and the house was full of very unique and lovely memorabilia of the family and area. The house was very beautiful and unique. We really enjoyed everything about our stay. The house is within a mile of very nice restaurants also!

The staff were superb, welcoming and attentive. I can not recommend Hornsby House enough.

Taylor was there to receive us. She was knowledgeable about the historic events, dining options and was warm and friendly. Shaun made a robust breakfast. It was delicious with plenty of tasty and healthy portions. She as well was warm and friendly. The golf cart added to the adventure. Lots of added details that added to a homey feel. I look forward to returning next year.

We really like the room we were staying in, the Magnolia Room. Dave and Tom were helpful and friendly during our stay. We would recommend staying in the Hornsby House.

Excellent facility, staff and location. It is within walking distance of the river restaurants and attractions, National Park and within the historic Yorktown itself. The food was great and we would go back again many times over.

The Inn is owned by a wonderful family whose history is part of Yorktown. The interior decor is comfortable and charming. The location is perfect for participation in Yorktown Day events, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners accomodating.
