Amazing friendly and helpful staff! Unfortunately the drains were a bit smelly, but the staff cleaned the bathroom each day and did all they good to improve it.

The toilet was incredibly smelly and not very clean. AC controller was also not working properly, the commands were weird and mixed up. Hard to set the right comfort for sleep. Plus the AC was directly pointed on our heads during sleep.

The staff was extra nice. The facility is very clean and near many restaurants. I highly recommend the place.

The place is very clean and organized. Kitchen is fully stocked and ready. Grab and Gojek finds it hard to find the place and we need to walk in

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange transport to/from airport and gave us a ton of helpful info! They have a little welcome packet that even points out all the best ways to get to the sights and most recommended food spots around town, this was much appreciated. Also appreciated, we arrived before check in and they let us change and use the pool for a couple hours. We were welcomed with a smile every time. The A/C could have been stronger. We stayed in the family room and it was comfortable but I would have liked to make it cooler, the unit was just not capable of it.

Amazing stay at Otu. The location is great, a few minutes from the main Backpacker street with restaurants and cafes. The common areas of the hostel are really nice - the pool is beautiful and clean, and there is comfy seating. There's also a well stocked communal kitchen. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but have what you need and the beds were comfy. The aircon in my room wasn't super strong, but it worked well enough to keep me cool at night (and I run hot). however, the room did stay cool even with the aircon off. The shower water pressure wasn't great and the WiFi was a bit patchy in the rooms.

I love the staff. Friendly and helpful. Hostel assisted to keep my luggage while I was traveling to other parts of Java. The hostel staff also values my return and multiple stays at Otu, they accomodated to my requests. Other things I love about this hostel apart from the staff is the clean swimming pool. If you stay for one night, you cannot see the value of these things. Few nights to one week stay and then you will see that the hostel has the perfect balance of giving you some peace of mind, good service & good location. can't do your own quick clothing washes anymore as there is no more place to hang your wet clothes, but not an issue. Just opt for Indonesia's cheap laundry services Most taxi, grabcar or big vans won't enter the small alleyway that leads from the main road to this hostel. Have to walk about 6-7 minutes from main road. An issue if you are carrying big luggages. Maybe call up the hostel for some assistance

Elvira was a great host. The room was comfy and the patio and services provides amazing. Beds were comfy and wifi worked very fast. Close to a road with shops and restaurants. Maybe the light in the room, only one main cold light. Maybe a reading light close to beds may help. And a set of 2 shower towels instead of one.

Best stay you could imagine in Yogja. Especially the staff (Elvira) will help you with everything you need to both enjoy and eat Well. Well recommended

We had a wonderful time at Otu Hostel. Nania, Robby, Elvira and staff made us feel very welcome each time we passed the lobby. They also helped us a lot with usefull advice and logistics. Neighbourhood is lively and kind of hipster, with lots of nice restaurants at walking distance. Hostel though is a peaceful and quiet place. Very good value for money with real and warm persons running the business.

Amazing!!! Beautiful hostel at the perfect location. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and the beds so comfy, the common areas are very nice to chill. And not to forget the biggest thank you to Habba and Elvira, the amazing staff who are so helpful and friendly ?. They were always there to make us smile and made us feel at home. If you are coming to Yogyakarta, you have to stay in this hostel. ✨
