Ary's Hotel Yogyakarta

Its a beautiful hotel in a really nice location. the sheets and blankets were old and it would be nice if they served tea and coffee in the morning.

The staff was very friendly, and the location was great. Included breakfast of eggs and toast was a nice touch as well. The grounds were nice, and have the potential to be even more beautiful with more upkeep. The room was unfortunately not very clean. My mattress smelled like all the people who had slept there before me, and I even found a hair that was not mine in the sheets. The bathroom also did not look like it had been serviced or cleaned before I arrived. TV did not work at all. Also note that the hotel only takes cash. This was a shock to me.

Nice Garden, fresh sheets and towels, good AC. In some reviews people were mentioning the closeby mosque being too loud but it was absolutely ok in my opinion. Room and bathroom could have been cleaner but I've seen way worse. The most important things (bed and toilet) were good.

The outside garden is very pretty and the location is nice as well. Staff is friendly. OK for a short 1-2 nights stay max. I basically left the place cleaner than when I found it. The bathroom was dirty (trash bag with former person's stuff inside, toilets not flushed, cup/soap dispenser dusty). The surfaces were dusty and I suspect only the bed was made "fresh" for my arrival. There was also no water bottles offered & no TV remotes in my room.

Classic Javanese style, red brick outside, white brick inside, lots of lovely wood, beautiful garden full of birds and butterflies. Great aesthetic values, super charming. Very clean. Outstanding location. Breakfast is fine. We had fried noodles and eggs. Very inexpensive. I really love this place. it’s beautiful, charming, and a fantastic value. Lots of individual character. Only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is not very reliable. Wi-Fi unreliable

We could not pay with credict cards due to some system problem.

The more you get to know the hotel staff, the more kind they get. Even though at the time of booking, it was saying that we can pay with our credit cards but when we checked in, we could not. It was a big problem for us, seven people. Many of us did not have Indonesian cash. The hotel is kind enough to wait for us to pay till the last night, though.

Great room and surroundings. A/C works great. The bed is really comfortable. Great stay for a very nice price!

Cheap and clean rooms. Karim, one of the staff members, treated us like friends the first second we met him. We spent a wonderful day with him.

Nice small hotel in a area just outside the center. spacious room with good bathroom. nice seating in front of the room. two music cafe/ restaurants in walking distance. busy street .

Agus and the other staff members were extremely helpful, caring and friendly! Agus was very informative about what's worth visiting and helped us arrange a driver to get there too. The staff made us feel at home, providing a very comfortable base to explore Yogya. The facilities are clean and the location is very close to the center, restaurants and shops without being too crowded. Overall we had an amazing stay, definitely recommend staying here!

In general, the place is fine. Clean, centric, the staff is helpful and welcoming. There is a mosque in front of the stay so for non-muslims it can be uncomfortable as they announce the prayings through speakers really loudly at 5am. If you want to rest I wouldn't recommend.
