Swimming pool is great. The garden is pretty. It is calm. The bathroom is a little small, looking poor despite that gorgeous patio. The location is a little far (just a few more minutes walk) from the typical tourist site area. This massive front building intimidates at first, but when you enter the property, that kind of fear fades.

Nice location friendly staff clean rooms all good to 99%. 1% Fast speed internet disappear after 2 days stay ? speed 1.5 mb per second. Netflix YouTube web service doesn’t work at so low speed..

Hotel is generally very nice looking, really like a palace with kind of Greek architecture, statues. Pool is well placed in the middle surrounded with many trees. READ FULLY TO THE END, specially for foreigners! During my stay (1.3.-3.3.) I have experienced something that should not occur anywhere with 3*+ hotel ratings. During my last night, somebody was trying to get to my room at around 4:50 am morning. My room door was shaking even while I was locked. I got up in the middle of my sleep and asked myself what is going on, maybe somebody is drunk, lost or whatever. I did not managed to see who the person(s) was. I went back to sleep. but after like 5-10 minutes later, somebody really opened my door without knocking first!!! using hotel card (I assume it was that card from staff which can open every room in the hotel) and tried to steal or get my hotel card from the electricity device on the wall. I furiously opened the door and there was standing a guy from hotel staff (at least he was dressed in hotel uniform). He was shocked (or maybe pretended to be) when he saw me standing in my room. I was in even bigger shock and really nervous and frightened. He apologized, but did not know english, so after one minute he came back to the room (finally knocked on the door firstly) and using translate he stated that he was going to some rooms in case to collect or make sure that there are no cards left in the rooms. I really did not understand what he was trying to say to me and I did not get it. After that, I could not sleep well until morning. Then at the morning I came to the reception to say what happened to me during night. Office manager apologized to me, but I saw it like she was not so shocked (as she should have been) about what happened. I insisted about getting a compensation for that incident but everything that the lady came out was like: i can have late checkout, get free lunch or something like that. I wanted to have discount from my whole stay or at least get my money back from two breakfasts which I paid beyond the price and as an extra service. So basically it was me who came with correct idea of compensation.

Family room is quite spacey. The swimming pool is OK. Bed is comfortable. The water shower head maybe need to be replaced.

The hotel itself was very beautiful. We didn’t get to use the swimming pool, but it looked inviting! The staffs were very friendly and polite. The AC in our room was so loud that we had to call the engineer. However, even with some reparation, it still made some loud noise from time to time.

Beautiful building, nice pool, comfortable bed, helpful staff, tasty breakfast... There were cockroaches in the room every day. It made us feel really uncomfortable. We brought an spray against bugs, but it didn't help that much.

Nice and calm. Good atmosphere. Nice decoration. Good pool. The bathrooms are a bit smelly and could use an Update. The toilet Seat was loose (need to balance a bit during “business”).

I was worrying a bit when I read the reviews. Smelly bathrooms, mosquitoes everywhere, no breakfast options, broken door locks... But either we got lucky with our rooms or the hotel has improved since. The outside and courtyard with swimming pool look gorgeous. The big lobby is equally impressive. We did experience a broken lock with one of the rooms, but staff fixed that electronically within minutes. I spotted 1 mosquito in the room, may he rest in peace. Breakfast options are mostly local. Gudeg, rice, fruit, but also slices of bread. Lastly the bathrooms were fine and didn't smell. The luxurious grandeur at the outside isn't matched inside. While it's all functional and the large beds are clean and comfortable, it's not as luxurious as the exterior. Mind you though, this is a 3 star hotel, not a 4 or 5 star.
