Very cute and clean hotel! Staff were very nice. Check in and out was a breeze! Breakfast area was nice and convenient!

While the hotel itself was fine, I would not stay here again. We arrived about 40 minutes before check in and were denied the ability to get into our room. The guy at the front desk was a real jerk about it and had absolutely no customer service skills. So we had to get ready for our event at the nearby Walmart and came back 6 hours later to check in. The gal at the front desk was pleasant enough.

This is a budget motel. It was clean with no frills. Breakfast was good, with waffles, breakfast sandwiches and burritos. It was VERY loud. The road noise and thin walls and rattling air conditioner. Being ear plugs.

Great temodel on this motel but near sketchy area of downtown. Rooms were clean and comfortable however water pressure in shower is low for rinsing your hair. Breakfast was good and eating area is nice. Staff were very nice and helpful.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Y several times over a five-year span with each stay being very welcoming and comfortable. Friendly and attentive reception staff, clean and well stocked lobby and breakfast area, comfortable and clean room with all the necessary amenities, all at an affordable price. Excellent!!!

This hotel was great!! Right off the highway, updated rooms, easy check in. Its like an old school motel vibe where the office is in a different building and you park in front of your room but updated!! Walls are thin though so you'll definitely hear your neighbors, lol! Breakfast had a nice variety and included biscuits and gravy!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool is heated. Would definitely stay here again.

I was a little worried when I first booked this hotel as it was under $100 a night. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to the room. It looked newly remodeled and the property was quiet and clean. I will stay here next time I am in Yakima

This is a basic motel, but nicely upgraded and the room was spotlessly clean. Simple breakfast did the job. Staff was friendly. Unless you’re looking for “an experience”, this is a good choice for a trip to or through Yakima.

The property is an older “motor hotel” that has had significant upgrades to make it more modern and comfortable. We were reluctant to book this last minute hotel room as the internet price was so much lower than all the others. It seemed too good to be true…but the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. So we took a chance and are so glad we did. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Rather than a hot egg and meat buffet, they have high quality breakfast sandwiches and burritos in the fridge that you microwave. This is in addition to waffles and the normal cold cereal, yogurt, bread, etc.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of parking. Free breakfast selection was amazing. Felt very safe The bed was a little noisy when climbing in but once you were in, it was quiet. No big deal. The hot water in the sink, came out really really hot and I kept forgetting to turn on some cold when washing my hands.

This was genuinely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The door to our room had be shut with a really good slam, you’d think we left the room angry how hard it had to be slammed. There is not a Mountain View like it says in the description. When we checked in, the girl told us to make sure we had breakfast with them cuz it was “really good”. The breakfast was GENUINELY cold breakfast sandwiches and burritos that you needed to heat up in the microwave and a waffle machine with the most watery batter. The A/C in our room started to make the loudest squealing noise randomly. It’s weird that the lights to the bathroom are outside of the bathroom, so is the sink and mirror. The walls and roof are paper thin, we could hear everything from our neighbor and the guest above us stomping around until near 2am. We checked out a day early to find a different hotel. The staff is really sweet, so if the things mentioned do not bother you it’s really not the worst place. For me personally, it was a horrible experience and I would not book again.

Evening staff was great. Plenty of parking and parking slots were not small...i drive a mid size suv. It was clear the entire place had been recently renovated. Breakfast was standard fair....i will say i asked for another milk (single serve mini carton) and was told by morning staff there was no more...only two yogurts in fridge as well. Breakfast is 6 am to 9 am and i was in there at 6:45 am...rather concerning if they are parcelling out items to conserve. Overall id still stay again, it is affordable and clean, which is hard to find these days.

The pool area looked like it needs some heavy remodeling. There’s a door to nowhere in the pool area (2nd floor) that looks super tacky. The conference room which you walk past looks like more of a storage unit - block that windows from customers peeking in there. Looks tacky. The hotel was conveniently located with graduation activities from uofw Madison. So location was good in terms of being near family.

The Y Hotel is aged, has some ok lipstick: newer floor coverings, decent beds, and updated TVs, but still older than the pictures make it look, think 1970s with paint. The pool had a dusty film covering the water, no signs, but euuew. Day clerk was friendly and seemed like she had many responsibilities. There is nothing romantic about this place. We initially, humorously, thought it was because the walls seemed rather thick for that romantic getaway... but not thick enough for our horrific, and what felt like an endangering experience. Rather than share the details, if someone told me the scum that was checked in above us was either a crankster or child trafficker I'd be sadly not shocked. I asked the night clerk to call the police. She refused and the perpetrators left 30 min later. After 4.5 hrs of w t f disturbance that started at 1030pm. Clerk held me responsible for my very appropriate foul language. pick somewhere else.... beds were comfortable....wish I slept. bfast was suprisingly decent! I will wonder for years about the children. I'm sorry I didn't do more.

The bathroom was also missing basic things like extra washcloths, which made it even more frustrating after a long day. The room itself was fine once I got settled, but the experience started off poorly and that really stuck. Breakfast was ok - prepackaged sandwiches you heat up, but the coffee wasn’t great. To top it off a neighboring room had a barking dog that was not happy to be there, and loudly made it known. So after 12 hours of travel, the wrong room, and no sleep I can't give a good review. Overall, pretty disappointing, especially given the expectation of a clean room on arrival. I’d hope the hotel takes this seriously and makes it right.

This place is great! It is an excellent example of people running a business really well! It is a older style motel without indoor hallways that they have fixed up and they have done a really nice job of it! Great attention to detail like lots of plugins both conventional and USB. Lots more than typical hotels. Integrated flexible reading lamps. A wonderful and expansive complimentary breakfast with biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches either sausage McMuffin or croissant type in addition to standard fare like waffles, cereal, yoghurt, etc. The staff is very pleasant and friendly too. I had asked for a quiet room and got one in the back corner. When the door was open you could hear traffic but once it was closed I didn't. This would definitely be my first choice when staying in Yakima and is a steal at the price!!!

Breakfast was really good, except they advertise almond milk which was out the duration of our stay and when I inquired about it. Brandon told me he quit ordering the chocolate almond milk because he sees no difference in almond chocolate milk and chocolate milk besides the difference in cost. We are lactose intolerant and we were disappointed in the item being advertised but not even an option anymore.

The breakfast was not very good. No milk at all available even though they had cereal available The rooms look more like a motel. They were decently clean though. Small bathroom.

Room was presentable but had several minor housekeeping issues that resulted it being a subpar room.

This is an old property and needs a bit of fixing up. When we checked in and went to our room, the door was ajar. We didn’t find any evidence of anyone else in the room so we think the door did not get completely latched after it was cleaned. The door was hard to shut completely without a final tug. We requested that no one go into our room while we were away so we wouldn’t come back with the door potentially open.

Hotel Y is the closest hotel to the freeway and yet has way less street and truck noise than others in the area. For the very reasonable price, it's definitely a better vibe with better amenities when compared to others nearby. Heck, the internet is even decent and reliable!

The black out blinds did not go all the way down leaving a 10 inch gap of bright streetlight shining in at eye level. This made it very difficult to sleep.

Great Hotel right off freeway

The staff was so kind and welcoming when I checked in, and when I checked out. The room was immaculately clean, and was set up really cute. There was a free complimentary breakfast, a keurig in my room, and plenty of toiletries to use as well. My only problems were, that someone was put on top of me, when more than half of the hotel was vacant. It wouldn't have been a problem. Except the guy above me would not stop jumping up and down in place all night long. Every time he walked it sounded like the floor was going to fall through the ceiling, making it hard for me to sleep. The beds were also not the comfiest, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to my beds as I have a spinal deformity which causes severe pain in my back. It wasn't the worst mattress ever, and I would definitely stay here again in the near future.

Kitchen needs china plates and bowls, silverware, and paper towels. The sink and microwave are functional and clean. The mini frig is functional and clean. Suggest upgrading frig to a regular frig, apartment size for additional freezer space. Suggest placing a bottle of dish soap under the sink in cabinet. AC/heat work and are not too noisy. All other appliances and devices work as expected. Bathroom was clean and completely functional.

The hotel couldn’t find our booking, although it’s confirmed at the end of the Hotels.com. It took the staff a couple of hours trying to unsuccessfully locate the booking, and we had to find another hotel on our own.

Why? Because they like you! Very budget-friendly, good breakfast variety including breakfast sandwiches. For that price, they also manage to make sure that you don't have shady clientele right next door to your room with yelling matches (always NOT a treat)--none of that is allowed here and so the place feels more safe. Just good prices and great service!

we stayed at this motel for 4years in a row for my kid’s state games. love this clean and affordable place. it is a motel but room like a 2 star hotel.

Overall, we were satisfied. the breakfast was good. Thinkgs for improvement: have dispensers for shampoo, etc to save on plastics. The sink water got hot, but the shower not much. There was some hair and smudges on the bedspread.

Staff great. Location close to Hwy. Restaurants near by. Lots of unhoused milling around the street. Still felt safe. Well lit parking. Hand rail on stairs up to 2nd floor broken. I still would come back.

The hotel was nicely updated and very, very clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is a little sketchy. Some unsavory characters walked around the parking lot and made me uneasy. Around dusk, someone banged on my door. I didnt sleep that well thinking my car would get broken into or people would bang on my door again. I really liked the cleanliness of the hotel, but wouldnt stay there again because of the bad location.

They always accommodate my request for downstairs room, which I appreciate. Just do NOT go for a walk off the property after dark, there's a lot of creepy people lingering about.

Really nice little motel, super clean, with easy access (2 hour drive) for us to the southeast entrance of the national park. Excellent breakfast options, we really appreciated that!

We checked in just after midnight and discovered there was no hot water. Since we were exhausted, we figured we’d just shower in the morning - but the water temperature was still cold. We also noticed quite a few fruit flies in the room, even though we hadn’t brought in any food or perishables. Because it was close to checkout, there wasn’t an alternative option to shower, and we were only offered a $20 refund (about 16% of the total stay). While I understand things can go wrong occasionally, Washington State law does require lodging to provide adequate hot and cold running water, so this was disappointing. Hotel Y has usually been a great place to stay, but based on this experience, I’ll probably try somewhere else next time.

Beautiful quiet place to stay. Stayed there for a week, i was just disappointed that everytime I walk out of the room my key would not open again and I had to keep going back to the office to get it programmed again.

The area it is located in is relatively rough with closed business and some homeless camps, but property itself was OK,

There were only two hotels with outdoor pools in Yakima. Hotel Y looked like a nice hotel online but it was not in the best area. The room had a smell, a few gnats were in the room, the towels did not smell freshly cleaned. I will not be staying there again.

I always stay here because it is clean, reasonable, and easy access off the freeway. Great breakfast, and great staff. The beds are very comfortable and bedding is nice as well!

Went to check in at 5:00 pm and I had to wait at least 15 minutes for front desk staff- no room service as we stayed there 4 nights - bathroom shower knob is extremely difficult for us older people to pull out to use the shower- coffee machine in room didn’t work- light bulb not working over the sink so some difficulty shaving\ putting on makeup

The hotel itself was amazing. Mattresses could definitely be updated due to stains. Surrounding area was sketchy but hotel itself was great.

So, don't let this place fool you! It's a motel with "Hotel" in its name, but recently renovated and very comfortable! Great beds, nice toiletries, fast wifi, and biscuits and gravy for breakfast -- what's not to like about that? I will definitely stay here again when in Yakima.

Convenient stay right off the freeway. Not familiar with the area and tried to walk to a restaurant near by, it is a little sketchy. Hotel could have been cleaner, but overall stay was good.

Check in was prompt and friendly. Our room was on the ground floor and we were able to park right in front of our room, making access very easy. The hotel seems new and everything inside and out is in good shape and clean. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. My only real “complaint” is the bathroom is small and felt cramped. They have a Kegrig coffee maker so you can bring your favorite pods.

Clean and good service. Homeless people hanging atound the area. But not on the property.

It was just what we needed. Clean, right near the freeway, and pretty quiet.

Pool is open until 11pm and right outside your door which means kids and adults screaming and partying until late at night. Dog area is just green outdoor carpet on pavement in direct sunlight and you can’t even stand on it because the urine smell is so bad. Saw lady’s walking on it with bare feet. Yuck! Breakfast for the entire hotel is one microwave, one waffle iron and one coffee pot, which all had long lines every morning to use. No good restaurants around, only homeless and sketchy places. The parking lot felt secure, not sure about that.

I thought the hotel was really nice. It was modern looking and very comfortable. The front desk lady was really friendly and personable. There is a very nice outdoor pool that is heated. They had a nice breakfast with waffles, biscuits and gravy and several breakfast sandwich options. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Worth the booking. Loved the grab and go breakfast. Lots of hot water for shower. Lots of ice. A/C spot on.

Everything was really good apart from the wi-fi signal at times,the best hotel we've had on this holiday, plenty of items for breakfast, swimming pool was a surprise, for an outdoor pool the water was warm.Recommended.

Kinda old part of town maybe.. idk, never been there before and didnt explore.

It was a very nice property. The floor in our room was dirty in spots and there were items left in the refrigerator.

Comfortable and clean

I would say due to a scheduling error that I didn't get to stay at the Y. Hopefully I will be receiving a partial refund and most likely the scheduling error was on my part. But I have stayed at this hotel in the past and intend to stay in the future you know it clean comfortable just all around good place to stay and repeatable

Nice place. We were there just one night. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Facility is clean and well-kept. However the location is near freeway and homeless tend to hang out along street. It is close to the freeway and downtown is not far. Outside pool is nice and gets some shade later in the day.

The hotel was nicely renovated and clean. The staff a bit unenthusiastic, and the neighborhood not so inviting. The hotel is removed from dining and walkable activities, but the room was clean and comfortable for one night on a long trip.

Second time I’ve stayed here. Pros: neighborhood a bit sketchy but I always feel safe on the property. They are diligent about keeping away the riff raff. Great pool, great breakfast, quiet, close to restaurants and not too far from downtown. HOWEVER I’m not sure if I will be able to return. The bed was so soft my lower back was in pain all through the night. Like I couldn’t sleep and woke up multiple times. Bummer because I can’t find any other faults with the property.

Very clean and has had a recent makeover. Everything was new and modern. Plenty of parking. The breakfast was okay. Maybe some more fruit would be nice. Good coffee and choices of quick food you could take back to your room was nice. Pool was not crowded even with teams if ball players there.

Property was exactly as described, and exactly what I expected for what I paid. Overall fairly clean (although friends said their room was dirty). Staff was really friendly and attentive. We even left an item in our room at checkout and they immediately called and had it shipped to us. Our kids had fun at the pool and the pool area was nice to sit around with friends. Breakfast was good and enjoyed the little coffee shack across the parking lot. Neighborhood surrounding hotel is not good, do not suggest trying to take a walk or walking to nearby restaurants.

I feel bad for the owners. They totally re did the property (made it nice) and the City of Yakima allowed the homeless drug addicts to set up shop on the sidewalks and surrounding businesses.(worse than Seattle and Portland) Human excrement on the sidewalks, all the local restaurants closed down....it's not near downtown...the nearest open restaurant is about 2.5 miles away. AC unit was very loud, employees though were very nice...they did keep exterior parking lot lights on...was worried that my rental car would be missing the wheels in the morning.

NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE THERE. We ended up paying for a night we Never got! We had to go thru a 3rd party to finally cancel our 2nd night! Horrible customer service!

Great staff newly renovated

Hotel is definitely one of my favorites to stay in. :)

Our room was next to the pool and VERY noisy until the pool closed at 11pm. We did not request a poolside room but we got too experience what it is like to be next to a motel swimming pool.

It was so loud you can hear everything from the room above or next to you. Around 5am other guests had their kids outside the rooms running around we kept walking up. Not ideal for a relaxing trip for the weekend. Staff was so unprofessional the person checking in kept talking to the other staff and having personal conversations while I wait to check in. She then typed my card incorrectly and being distracted talking to her coworkers and not focusing. Not once did we get greeted or friendly.
