Ease of check in and check out. Though it is a budget motel, it’s not well maintained. By that I mean, large stains on the sheets, cigarette burn holes in the sheets, carpets are visibly dirty, baseboard trim is falling off, lampshade graffiti with profanity. It doesn’t take much skill to fix these minor issues and if cost is the justification for this, you can easily make a place look nice without spending much money. Invest $100 into each room and the place would move from one star to three stars. You can tell whoever owns this is just lazy. Go on FB marketplace and look for a free lamp. Pick it up, swap the shade. It’s free and it would take 20 minutes.

Absolutely nothing The toilet was not cleaned and there was still literal shit in it. The bed had so many nasty stains and they were different colors. There was cereal and other crumbs and stuff in the chair in the room. This place was the nastiest place ever! The hallway smelled like pee and the door next to ours looked like it was kicked in. Don’t ever stay here!!!

The lodging itself was almost typical for a ☆☆ hotel. The caulking around the tub to the floor was black with mildew. Only the fan worked at the heater/ac. The building was quite noisy but did quiet down around 10pm. The location is scary. Homeless people living just behind the property and drug addicted tweakers roaming the area.

Room literally falling apart. I think it’s possible I received bedbugs?! I sat on bed to put shoes on and there was a hypodermic needle sitting on the microwave. The clerk could’ve cared less when notified.

Very rough rooms. Cracked walls. The toilet was nonstop running. The shower needed a shower and had a nonstop drip. The air-conditioning did work, but it’s right next to the TV so you can’t hear the TV when the air conditioning comes on. You can hear everything out in the hallways because there was a gap in the room door . The property should have free earplugs for everyone staying there. It’s definitely in a more sketchy part of town and I will be staying away from pretty much any red lions from here on out.

Pool was non operational. Room was dirty. Pillows had stains. Towels were stained. No fan in bathroom and stains on the ceiling. Chair in room had tears in it and was stained. Plumbing drain line under sink was even filthy on the exterior. Overall this hotel was clearly not kept clean and maintenanced. Light bulbs missing from lamps, no smoke detector. Room was so dirty that we bought sleeping bags in order to sleep on the beds because we weren't sure of the cleanliness.

I booked a room with microwave and fridge, and they put me in a room without. When I mentioned it to the staff, she said: "there is a microwave here in the lobby and I'll find a fridge for you....". Did she really expected me to walk all the way there to heat up whatever i needed? that throw me off.... I had to insist to be put in another room with the amenities that I intentionally booked with. Also, the hallway fire alarm near my room had low battery so the annoying chipping/beep noise was going on all day/night.

I would not recommend staying here. The room was dirty upon arrival, the air conditioning was broken, and I saw roaches during my stay. There appeared to be minimal staff available, which made it difficult to get help or address any of these issues in a timely manner - there was no sense of urgency. The amenities weren’t consistent from one room to the next (microwave, refrigerator). There were sketchy individuals with backpacks coming and going non stop. Overall, a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience.

The exterior of the hotel seemed run down and things did not get better at check-in. Horrible smell. We went to our room and instantly noticed the mold in the bathroom, chipped enamel sink. There was a smoking smell in the room even though it was a non-smoking room. We tried to call around to find another hotel to stay at with no luck, So we left and headed home which was about 2 1/2 hours away. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!! The room was in poor condition. Homeless lying on the sidewalk across the street. Fenced businesses with barbed wire made us feel unsafe. Door stuck, and my husband tried to push it open and the lock plate fell apart and the frame around the door broke. Mirror held up by a nail to keep it from falling. Bathroom floor molding wasn't cornered. It was rounded at the corners with a lot of caulking stuck behind it. It looked terrible. Bath tub had a lot of black spots on it. It was a terrible area. This hotel looks nice in the pictures but the reality is VERY different. The hotel says "No Smoking" but the halls and rooms smell of cigarette smoke and there were burn marks on the bedding. There were only 2 bath towels provided though there were 4 of us staying in the room. The "breakfast" was very minimal- like only for show, and wasn't appetizing at all. Typically Red Lion’s are places I would stay which is why I booked this room. The property is in an unsafe location in Yakima. It is surrounded by homeless people and drug addicts. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. But I ended up moving hotels right after I checked in and asked for a refund. The rooms say No Smoking but clearly people smoke in them. The shower curtain would not close due to the holder coming off of the wall. I had a tweeker stationed right outside my window for HOURS going through the garbage in his bucket. It was very loud and the banging went on all night long. I almost just left to return back home in the middle of the night, if I would have I would have missed my son graduating med school and his wedding the following day. This place should be shut down! Condition of the room was too heinous for my traveling partner and we went to another hotel. The person at the front desk was nice enough to offer a refund.

Rooms were clean, staff is respectful, free breakfast was a plus. This hotel has improved tremendously over the last few years. Kudos to the staff for making it a pleasant stay.

There were no towels or extra toilet paper in the room. Toilet paper was easy to get but had to wait for a while to get towels.

The reviews were misleading. This hotel was right next to skid row. I didn't stay too scary. Crackhead galore across the street.

This place is a ghetto hotel ! Homeless people in the parking lot. One man had no pants on. We pulled in and turned around. Found a different hotel where I felt my family would actually be safe. Hotel refused to talk to hotels.com or myself when I asked for a refund. Unless you’re into crack houses stay away!

Never stay here. Dirty and disgusting. Someone tried to open my door in the middle of the night and almost succeeded. Did not feel safe. Dogs barking, hearing noises in all the rooms around me nearly all night long. I almost left in the middle of the night after someone tried to break in. Really freaked me out. Spend a little more $ and stay somewhere safer, cleaner, and quieter.

The ONLY plus was that the gentleman in the morning did not kick up any fuss when i told him i felt unclean and unsafe staying a second night and requested to check out early. That was convenient.

We had a homeless camp across the street and every window look like it has been prayed open with a pry bar recently. This was not the red lion we thought we booked.

The hotels.com website display of the room was completely false. The display showed clean and somewhat updated room. Our room was had 70s wood paneling on the wall old carpets with cigarette burns patched walls with no paint, wholes in the bedding and what I can only assume was a crack pipe by the night stand. Worse place I’ve ever stayed

Although the hotel clerk was very understanding and nice about it when I told her we were totally uncomfortable, she did not have the authority to refund my reservation---so....starts the process....I will say HOTELS.COM were very helpful by issuing a credit to our account. We will certainly use them again. We did advise them to remove this property from the choices they are offering the public as it is just unacceptable. I have never written a bad review before in my life but this was just plain scary.

It was fine for a one night stay. Rooms seemed to be clean and decent. I was met with arguments and hostility when checking in because they were missing key information (I paid online in full and tried to get me to pay again). The other guests were questionable but quiet. The outlets were loose so our electronics didn’t get a good charge. I liked that the room doors were inside for a bit more security. Overall you get what you pay for.
