The staff was incredibly helpful. Everyone was friendly. Our room was spacious and so so clean. We will stay there again for sure. The breakfast was really good and the staff was helpful in that area. The price was very fair and reasonable. A couple of times the key didn't work getting into our room. We had to try more than once to open the door but that was minor for sure.

Most linens were clean. The washcloth in question was replaced with a new clean cloth. Disappointing inconveniences: One was washcloth had small shavings throughout. Housekeeping replaced towels once over the three night stay. No garbage pick up. The holding brace for the metal “security” bar to the sliding glass door was bent. It prevented placement of the bar and the bar was left to hang down awkwardly. The inside of the microwave looked to have experienced burning that removed a couple of chunks of the interior casing. It seemed too dangerous to use. My report was noted and I was assured that the engineer would replace the microwave. However, it was not tended to during our stay. No indication of available WiFi. I noticed that birds perched on the rafters above the second floor balconies and excrement marked the wall and most likely the surface of the balconies. Possibly the seats. I hope this review is useful.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights in Yakima to celebrate a family member’s graduation. Upon arrival our room had no mini fridge, I called the front desk and the lady stated she didn’t know if it was supposed to be missing or if all rooms have one and that she’d call me in 5 minutes… 20 minutes later I opted to go to the front desk in person as I discovered our bedding had strange stains and the mattress has some stains as well. They switched us rooms and let us choose which was nice. The internet only works in certain areas of the hotel and the cellular service is pretty bad in the rooms. The TV was good. The shower was completely dirty and grossed us out so we used water shoes. If the pool was open we would have had a little bit of a better time. They had dead mice right next to their lobby door which is concerning but I did see rodent bait stations so they are actively working on the issue which is a good start. The breakfast ($10) per person was okay in value however the gravy tasted like nothing and the French toast was rough but honestly for 10 dollars a per you can get your moneys worth. The key cards are super finicky and if you’re in a rush you’re out of luck lol. Look we weren’t expecting a 5 star top tier hotel but even for a cheaper but not bottom of the barrel it was disappointing.

Back at the front desk I was told that the senior/disability room I had RESERVED @ Hotels.com was not available. The room was clean, the towels and bedding were clean, wi-fi was available, but no free breakfast and there is no on-site restaurant. Upon check-out I asked for my deposit to be returned and I was forced to wait while they sent an employee to the room to check it for damage before they would release the $25 deposit to me. Hallway was extremely cold and room was extremely hot when walking in initially. Room temp was controllable, but only after reducing the temperature, leaving the room and coming back later, again through a cold hallway. Took quite some time to get warm/tepid water at night. Better in the am. The king size bed was like an oversized hammock. Swayed into the middle and so soft it was uncomfortable. Ability to charge cell was nearly impossible. The wall plug was in the center of the king sized bed and the lamp had no plug in options. Had to swap out lamps to charge cell phones on the nightstand. The corners of the bathroom floor very much need attention. Quite a great deal of dirt build up. Had this been our first stay in this hotel, the review would be one star. We know this hotel has much higher quality accommodations as we have both stayed there for personal and professional reasons. Based on this and the availability of rooms, we are not impressed with our stay. Definitely would not recommend this hotel based on our most frequent stay.

The whole building is old and run down, the rooms smell and the furniture is stained and dirty. There were no amenities not even soap to wash your hands in the room. I turned on the heat and it made me sick between the smell and the noise. The food options were terrible and also contributed to making me sick- not worth the $10 breakfast fee! Noone was at reception for checkout and I waited for over 15min. Definitely would not waste any time or money there again.

The service from the Airport was great and so convenient for the conference. The shuttle driver was very prompt and friendly when she picked me up (and dropped me back off at the airport) and had no problems accommodating my large trade show baggage. Front desk staff was very friendly as well - I lost an earring and they didn't hesitate to help me look for it in the lobby and let other staff know (found it!). Met Maria, the manager - kudos to her for not only being friendly herself, but training a great staff. I will stay again when I come back to Yakima!

This is a very affordable place with parking and quiet. One thing that would help, is if they would update their website. The restaurant info has a tiny disclaimer that it's closed, and that breakfast is only on weekends. But it's daily. They just started charging for it, which isn't disclosed anywhere that I found. I would still stay there, because of the location & the many nearby dining options.

Our first room was infested with ants and was super damaged (walls with holes and torn wallpaper, furniture falling apart and damaged). Towels had stains on them and were small and abrasive. We got moved to a different room that seemed to be in slightly better condition, but still old and dated decor. Bed was too hard for my husband who had difficulty sleeping. The toilet would randomly run to refill the tank. We later discovered that this was due to the toilet leaking from the pipes underneath the room where there is additional parking, creating a concern for potential biohazard. If you don’t need to stay on the main drag and can afford to stay elsewhere, I strongly recommend you do so.

Reserved a room with King Size bed since I am in a wheelchair it is easier for me to have a king size bed to get in and out. Got there and the man at the front counter told us that all of the king size room are only accessible by stairs. Then asked for a handicap room and was told they didn't have any. But they could put us in a room with 2 queen beds with an additional charge. I refused to be charged because they don't have the room I reserved since I am in a wheelchair. Finally got a room after 20 minutes. I couldn't get my wheelchair past the bathroom since the cabinet for frig and TV was in the way. NOT a great experience.

The dirty sheets from before were piled in a corner of my room. The Police came and spent some very loud time getting someone (else) out of their room and into custody.

Good value. Smells moldy like most old Red Lion properties. In better condition than I remember. Will stay there again.

Wife & I liked the friendliness on how we were greeted by the front desk person. The majority of our experience we would rate as great. We loved the spaciousness & cleanliness of our room. Only negative was that the shower drained slowly. We would come back to stay here.

The property and grounds are great, but building maintenance is sub-par. The pop machines were all empty and the restaurant is closed. The rooms are clean.

It felt like we were the only ones there for the night, which felt odd , but made for a quiet stay. The staff that I encountered were friendly, and outgoing. All in all, I feel like it's an older property that's a bit neglected by the ownership, but lovingly maintained and kept on course by the staff. Id recommend the place as a value stay if you were needing a place in Yakima.

It was a quick stay but when booking it had no free breakfast but when checking in the said it would cost an extra $10.00 per person. At first they were taking us for breakfast and then decided that it wasn’t included in our room. So we had to pay $20 for two people. All hotel that I’ve have stayed with in the pass have those kind of breakfast free. The other hotels actually have better selection that they offer for no charge. Other than that no complaints

I stay here because the outdoor patios. I showed up at 2:58 PM for 3 PM check-in. No rooms available the young lady was less than agreeable. Went and had a bite to eat and came back at 3:30 and had the most wonderful young man checked me in an upgrade me to the room I wanted. I guess it depends on who is checking you in. She failed miserably and he excelled.

Property is run down and in need of an update… pools closed indefinitely and rooms not in use. They do t seem to have much of an aptitude for ADA or accommodating people with disabilities.

The hotel is dated and needs updates and repairs. Bed was old and uncomfortable. Right on emergency route so heard sirens all night. Tv wasn’t functional. Cleanliness was average. No food services-no vending machines, on-site restaurant/bar not open on Sunday.

When I first got there. The staff was friendly and wonderful. When I went to the to to my room. Bar look outdated. Loved the idea of having a bar there. Maybe have a section of it where it's family friendly. I noticed the security doors to get in with a key didn't close very well. Doesn't feel secure or safe to a point. Got into my room and it smelled like mildew. Opened up the balcony, which I really loved having. The rooms, hallways and front office are very outdated. Beds were lumpy and caved in. Wasn't pleasant on my back in the morning. Had very old carpets. Need to maybe make it fake hardwood floors. Update the decor. Chairs outside of balcony are very old. I had to wipe them down with a bathroom towel. Breakfast was lovely in the morning. Pools weren't open either. I think I would of stayed in the holiday inn across the street next time. Reason I didn't to there is because the price was $100 more. But for all those reasons I think I old pay the higher price now.

There’s so much I could say. This Ref Lion is not just dated but just DIRTY. My first room reeked of cigarette smoke, surfaces were clearly not clean, lights were very dim and the wall paper was ripped and visibly peeling off the walls. I requested a new room and was given one. The new room was at least cleaner. There was an unidentified stain on one of the sheets. There was a huge water stain on the ceiling, the carpets were in clear need of shampooing, there were rips in the curtains, the tub did not drain properly so I was standing in my shower water. I had to go buy myself bedding just to feel comfortable on the bed. If not for the conference I had to attend, I would’ve left and not stayed at all. This is just a lack of care and a gross lack of effort. The room was over $100 per night, so for the grounds and rooms to be in the disrepair there’s in, is astonishing.

Near convention stuff and fast food restaurants. Got in late, didn't see much of neighborhood. Quiet area. Desk manager friendly and quick. Room identical to other Red Lions we've been to, identical, which is ok. Quiet room.

I had amazing communication with the front staff. We saw that check in was midnight but we called in advance that we would arrive before 1am and they were able to make note of that and someone was there to check us in. I even informed then of my 2 dogs and they were fine with that and gave us a room out by the garden area i think. I know it worked out because there was a sliding glass door in our room and i was able to let my dogs go out. We didnt see any drugs or any homeless at this specific location and we were pleased. Now i recommend sleeping with a tv on loud or wearing ear piece. The walls are very thin. We could hear the woman next to us moaning very loudly and my dogs were very curious lol Also the rooms a little out dated but it didnt bother me. What did bother me wasnno fan in the bathroom. But overall i would stay here again .

Clearly a premium property in the 80s. Nice property, quiet rooms. Stained bed linens, toilets and showers moldy, movie theater carpets cleaner, furniture in dis repair. NO MAID service. Advertises restaurant and lounge, yes they have the facilities. However they only open them when the occupancy rate is high enough they can afford WA state wages to operate. Property is nice though. Stay down the block at the Holiday Inn, at least there you know what your getting for half the price.
