La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Yakima Downtown

Very impressed with location, very central to any where you want to go, very secure, right behind a target for anything you forgot to pack, super clean, very nice everything. Only 2 issues. 1: breakfast was very low budget basic (for a nicer hotel I was expecting maybe just a little bit of upgraded foods) 2. We were on the second floor... and a very large dog was right above us.. it ran the floors jumped from the furniture, skidded across the tiles... and barked ect. Animals should be kept to the 1st floor!! Everything else was wonderful. The breakfast was very basic, was expecting a tad upgrade from the low budget hotel options. The large dog on the 3rd floor above us... animals should be kept to ground floor rooms. It was all night long. Loved that the pool was open 24hrs but kids maybe only until 10pm.... went for a midnight hot tub and got over ran with little kids.

This is a very nice hotel, and I had a lovely stay there! The pool and hot tub are well maintained and are open ALL hours for guests. My room was very nice and comfortable. The location was very convenient and close to the downtown area and many restaurants. The only complaint I had was, there was a hair left in the shower that was clearly not mine, but the shower did look clean other than that.

I’d highly recommend staying at this Hotel. Great staff, friendly service, and the manager introduced himself to me. The continental breakfast was hot and ready everyday. The pool and hot tub was well maintained. My room was cleaned everyday. I truly enjoyed my stay!

No one at the front counter, person was doing too many jobs at once

Very clean

No lock on the bathroom door, no fan in the bathroom, limited lightening. Both the front desk workers when checking in and out were excellent. When we went down in the middle of our stay to ask for something the lady working was rude and seemed inconvenienced that was asking for something.

Our sink would not drain and the shower was luke warm at best. We called to ask front desk to help and they said maintenance guy was not back until Tuesday we called on Friday

Nice hotel. Clean and free breakfast and 24-hour pool access was a bonus. The bed was smaller than a queen and pullout couch did not have clean bedding.

Breakfast was your usual hotel eggs, sausage and waffles. Seemed a bit on the sparse side but it was ok. Coffee was ok but hard to pump out of the thermos. Pool was ok, was told it was heated but still on the chill side. Hot tub looked green so I didn’t try. Overall a good stay for the price, beds were clean. Area was in downtown but still felt safe

The hotel overall was great. Unfortunatley there was a very loud and rouwdy group of young men and families that were loud very late into the evening and it took multiple calls to the front desk to ge this handled.

Clean room, very courteous staff and good breakfast

Although there were less than 20 cars in the parking lot, I had a loud neighbor. There was also something making noise all night, that sounded like a pigeon. I hunted all over to locate the noisy, with no success. To top off my stay, someone hit my car in the parking lot. Are you kidding me??? Like I said, there were less than 20 cars in the parking lot.

The room was okay. It is an OLD property with facelift. Hallways have very dirty carpet. Breakfast buffet ended promptly at 9am which no one mentioned at check in. It was inexpensive, but i wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel rooms were spotless, and I slept incredibly well—it's been a long time since I felt so rested. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was quite basic, and the only disappointment was the lack of waffle batter. Nonetheless, my overall experience was positive and comfortable.

Lots of construction going on two sides of the property. Maid service once in a three night stay. Lots of thumping and bumping right above my room yet only about three guests at the entire place.

Pool was cold and breakfast was not the greatest. Traveled with kids and alarm was going off at 5am. The room next door was loud all night and you can hear the noise from down the hall as well. Didn’t sleep good due to the noise.

The room was spacious and clean. Good showerhead and pretty modern bathroom as well. Staff was cortious and helpful. The fitness room is also pretty nice and comfortable. However, the included breakfast is a letdown. Hotels should stop offering the instant scrambled eggs... just plain awful. Yogurt, milk, bread/bagel options were also very limited. I know it's "free", but it's come a long way since hotels offered a decent included breakfast.

The property was fantastic. The room was great. I loved having the option of getting in the hot tub after a very long drive at like 10 o’clock at night. My only complaint is that the breakfast was not quite as hot as I would’ve expected. Not sure if I just got there too early and it hadn’t warmed up enough, but the staff was amazing.

We found a baby roach in 223. In the sink. Perhaps spray. Or see if other units have any issues. The eggs tasted like powder. Maybe mix better. And the front desk staff should be more engaging and customer friendly

The room was spacious and with the fan on kept a good temperature. The staff were pleasant. Access to hot water and coffee was great. The eggs were pretty inedible which is surprising for me because I’ve had a lot of powdered eggs at hotels. I also had some food shells under the bed so vacuuming isn’t super thorough.

The hot tub smells like dirty towels and the pool is freezing. The breakfast had no condiments. I was surprised there was not even hot sauce; we are in Yakima.

Requested to stay on the first or second floor due to being handicapped. Was put in the 3rd floor all the way to the end. In case of fire it stated to use stairs. I can’t walk. Didn’t feel comfortable where they placed us in the hotel.

This is a recently renovated property with excellent rooms. The spacious room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.

Our room was great, clean. The bed was rock hard, there is zero soundproofing, we could hear everything from the hallway to the people walking on the floor above all night. Pool being open 24 hours is great, hot tub needed some attention, the tiling on the edges were pretty gross, the pool itself was great. The woman who checked us in was so unbelievably rude, it almost made us leave the hotel to go check in somewhere else, but we had just driven for 6 hours and was exhausted. The breakfast was absolutely terrible, never had such a bad hotel breakfast, (eggs were so dry and crunchy, hasbrowns were ice cold and mushy). I think the negatives outweighed the positives, which made us decide we won’t be booking here again.

This was easy to get to, reasonably priced, very clean and the staff was excellent

Desk staff was not friendly both check in and check out acted like I was inconvenient to them. I asked for a print out of bill and I felt I inconvenienced her. No maid staff during stay.

The rooms were modern and well designed. The neighborhood the facilities are not the safest and that explains the iron fence and gates. The most annoying part of the our stay is that they allow dogs. Folks, I have nothing against dogs, but I am considerably irritated at individuals who allow their dogs to continuously bark and think nothing of it. Why does it take the irritated guest to notify the front desk before anything is done. Sorry, but we were disappointed with this facility.

Noisy at night. A lot happens at night in the parking lot next door behind the target strip mall. Homeless and others fighting, yelling, one night three shots. Pot store a block on the corner a dead end, so a lot of traffic car/foot. Most of the staff was great. The maintenance guy was busy and Still found time to help use out. Rooms were clean. Morning breakfast staff, she was rude, mouthy, wouldn’t get any thing you’d ask her for, don’t bother going for breakfast after 8:30 she’s put what’s even left away by 8:45 but waffles. So I started opening the cabinets and pulling stuff out to use and eat for others and myself. We were there 5 days. She should be reminded if it’s not for the people staying there she wouldn’t have a job. There’s plenty of other places to stay for the same price. Normally I don’t bother doing a review but when I look I check out the reviews. I know what I look for and like to know good and bad.

Would stay there again next time we are coming through. Plenty of shopping and dining close by.

The building, exterior and interior, looks great. The room is beautiful, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was close to the elevator, stairs, and ice machine. It was very noisy all night. Voices in the hallway were not even muffled. I awoke to the ding of the elevator and the rumble of the ice machine multiple times. Guests that actually want to sleep should get a room at the end of the hall, away from the busy spots.

The check in staff was barely pleasant, not upbeat or welcoming. The lighting in the room has cold color temperature bulbs like fluorescent lighting which is awful. Like a Russian prison. The hotel is not central to any restaurants. Stuck back by a Motel 6 of all things. The room is very clean. One lightbulb did not work.

Everything functioned as it should. I would stay here again without issue.

Amazing experience

Hotel , room and service was good ! No complaints. Just got our cooler stolen from the handicap parking right next to the main entrance of the hotel. Other than that we are satisfied with our stay.

We loved the ADA room that we booked at this property. It was super spacious and easy to navigate in a wheelchair. The only negative that we experienced was there was construction at the Motel 6 across the street that was pretty noisy at early hours.

We didn't like that even though we asked twice (once on Expedia and once on LaQuinta during early check in) for a top or highest floor end of hallway/corner room. We were assigned to a room on a ground level, next to the staff room, the elevator and breakfast room. It got noisy early in the morning. I asked the desk attendant to review my requests, but she was not at all helpful. She was apparently having a bad day and was not courteous at all.

Nice property. Very convenient to the convention center. When asked, staff fixed a minor problem in my room and let me know it was fixed when I came in that evening. Breakfast was more than just a packaged muffin & carton of juice which was great because most breakfast options close by were fast food. I would definitely stay here again and consider other La Quintas.

I was pleasantly surprised that most parts of the hotel look modern and freshly updated. I asked and was told that remodeling was just recently done in March of this year. I liked breakfast. Took some beautiful pictures of the lobby. A little far from my home, but if my travels lead me this way again , I certainly will stay here again. Thank you Yakima !

The rooms are great. Very clean. The king bed was comfortable and pillows soft and comfortable. The step in shower was so nice good water pressure and loved the built in shampoo, cream rinse and body wash. Nice sized bath towels too. Nice air conditioner kept the room cool. A short distance to a walking path by the Yakima river and great Mexican restaurant. I only did 4 stars because we felt our greeter could have been more friendly.

Unfortunately the tv and phone are not working. Not the end of world but advertised as having them. Front desk not very helpful on this matter. Would have been nice for them to let us know at check in that they could not offer this advertised service. Instead we'll just take your money.

Outstanding property! Clean, best breakfast and most comfortable bed I’ve had in the month we’ve been away from home. Breakfast options included cheese omelette and sausage patties, oh so good. Pillows on the bed and mattress were definitely a cut above. Only small negative is that it was kinda out of the way and the neighborhood surrounding wasn’t the best. Overall, I’d stay again anytime!

Very nice hotel with kind staff. The walls might be on the thin side because I could hear my neighbors the whole night, but maybe I just got loud neighbors. The free breakfast was really good :)
