Excellent customer support and professionalism

I was needing an affordable place to stay that allows cats and dogs and was happy with my choice. The room was large and arranged so there was enough space to move around and not trip over each other or the animals. I would stay there again

I was unaware of the Bait-and-Switch until I pulled up my reservation in my email after my plane had landed in Seattle. By the time I reached Yakima, WA at 0200 it was far too late to change or correct my reservation. I booked a new room for the following days with the Hiton Garden Inn directly from their website, as I could no longer trust Hotels.com to do the right thing. Although I did not stay but one (1) night at American Best Value, I was charged the full price of $795 + tax per night for 4 nights. American Best Value refused to refund the nights that I was not at the hotel. The parking at the Americas Best Value was absolutely terrible and not well thought out. I was traveling with a cane due to a recent brain surgery, and I had to park a block away from my room. There were no spaces available, nor any handicap parking near the room. The hotel should mark the spaces in front on the rooms with a corresponding number so that there is only one space per room and all rooms would have a designated space.

I felt like I got good overall value. Everything was fine, no issues. Would recommend if looking for a budget friendly stay in the Union Gap/Yakima, WA area.

Btahtub and toilet were dirty. Mold on caulking of bathtub area. I woke up with bed bug bites on different areas of my body-chin, shoulder, upper arm, and side of stomach. I did mention to desk clerk in the a.m. He did type. I also showed the bed bug bites on my chin. Breakfast was good. Parking was fine. No fee.

I stayed in a downstairs unit with parking right out front—super convenient. The laminate flooring gave a nice hardwood look, though the bathtub was a bit dated. The air conditioning worked, a bit loud, but the room itself was very quiet. The location was fantastic—right by the mall with plenty of restaurants, including Panera. The Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was basic—mini muffins and oatmeal—more of a snack than a full meal. The large table was a plus, but no hangers, so bring some if you need. You’ll have to request housekeeping. Most importantly, the staff was super friendly and helpful.

The pool was closed for maintenance, which was quite disappointing, and a few elements are in disrepair (e.g., some cracked bathroom tiles, etc.), but again, it was clean and comfortable....and the Wi-Fi was excellent. I'd both recommend it and go back.

Room was dirty - floor sticky, found a quarter under the covers so question whether the sheets were clean… there were stains on the wall to the left of the bed… really poor. Terribly noisy all night long. Unfortunately don’t recommend.

It was clean but badly in need of a remodel and new furnishings. The bathtub looked like they did a facelift and it failed. It was peeling, rough and pretty awful even though they did try to clean it. They did not even have a coffee pot in the room. Breakfast was very minimal oatmeal, fruit and yogurt, no hot dishes. It was state track weekend so price with taxes thru Expedia totaled $225 a night, normally around $100. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable and the location was great.

The room was laid out nicely with plenty of room in both the sleeping area and bathroom. The beds were great. However, the whole place could of used a deep cleaning. There was crud in the corners on the floor and crumbs behind the furniture.

Property was not worth 100 bucks a night stains on the carpet burns in the carpet pieces of sheet rock missing on the walls. The bedding was clean and it was a functional room.

The paint on the walls look like they were never touched up and furniture is so old. The only positive thing I can say is that the rooms are quiet. We did not hear people coming and going.

Room and amenities good as expected. Staff helpful. Downsides - pool not open, toilet tank issue I adjusted myself, and I was first assigned a room with someone already in it. Don’t know what happened there. All parties were surprised. I would use the place again , though.

The cost of the stay is excellent! The owner is very friendly, and this is the only hotel I stay at when I travel through the Yakima Valley.

This hotel was cheap but you get what you pay for. There were patched holes all over the walls, black mold in the bathroom and the bathroom surround was covered in orange mold. Since it was the softball state tournament there weren't any other hotels with open rooms so we were stuck.

This place is not a 7 stars. Not sure who's leaving the good reviews. The front desk area smelled clean so I had high hopes. The room smelled of old wet dog. The curtains had blood stains on them I didn't even want to touch them. The walls are so marked up and quick painted over the just make it look worse. They did take out the carpet and put vinyl in. But it was not cleaned very well before us. The tile bathroom floor is so old the grout is crumbling and the tiles are moving. The bathroom vanity is newer. But thats about it. They slapped a coat of paint over all the patch work but didn't bother to take their time and make it a good paint job. The ac needs a good clean maybe it would work better and not be so noisy. Cob webs on the lamps. Burnt out light bulbs. VERY dark room. Probably so you couldn't see all the dirt and blemishes. Door had so much light around it at night when you shut it. Wasn't sure it was even latching properly. You could tell some people are living there. Car with broken windshield taped up and flat tires parked in lot. Is such a site to see. I will say the bed was comfortable, surprisingly, and had plenty of hot water in the shower. Its a place for a quick stop in a pinch but not a place to take your mom to watch her grand daughter play ball. You will be embarrassed you reserved it. And no there is not a breakfast either. Its instant oatmeal and coffee.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked a room here based on the reviews and I am convinced the owners of this hotel are writing the reviews! This hotel was absolutely disgusting! I checked in, went to my room, and checked out. The room was filthy, smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and there was urine in the toilet which convinced me this room was not cleaned from the previous person. Then, when I wasn’t reimbursed my deposit, I called and the lady who answered immediately started yelling at me saying “why do you keep calling I’m not going to refund you!” I explained to her that this was the first time I was calling so I’m not sure why she was yelling at me but I am calling about not receiving a refund on my deposit. This woman has absolutely ZERO customer service skills, was probably the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to and was not helpful at all. I am having to dispute the charge through my credit card.

The staff was actually very pleasant the hotel looks old that may have tried to remodel - the bed was very comfortable & I loved the pillows so had a good nights sleep before being woke up by two motorcycles warming their cycles up outside window at around 7 am - not the hotels fault

Covenient location

Bed was stiff as a board. Tub was dirty, bathroom door didn’t close, room stunk of cigarette smoke but was supposed to be a non smoking room. Not worth the “cheaper” price.

Breakfast was a joke, nothing really to eat. Bathroom was bad enough neither of us would take a shower. Bathroom was really not taken care of !! totally not worth half the price!!

The room was clean enough but the tub and toilet were stained. There was a huge gap under the door so air and light came in, the bed was a full not a queen. Oh and they take a photo copy of your ID, I don't mind scanning because you can see who looks at it but on paper is a big no for me. And I could hear the person in the room next door snoring so loud. I will never stay here again.

Sheets on the bed and the towels were clean, but the rim itself was not and was bad smelling. There is a broken down vehicle in the parking lot near the room.

We didn’t even stay at the hotel. The bed felt like there were springs in it and it was 100 years old. We left after 5 mins and asked for a credit but they refused.

There were long black hairs everywhere bathroom,shower,bedding. Walls were dirty. The staff barely speaks English so there’s that too.

Room was fairly clean, found a marijuana roach on the shelf and a lighter under the tv stand. Microwave didn’t rotate inside. Big draft in room. Breakfast is mini muffins, yogurt, mini oranges,apples or bananas and out meal. Good for a fast breakfast to go but not very filling. Would have stayed longer but couldn’t see paying 197 for a room that I had paid 130 a night and under for almost a week. Great stay though. Friendly staff and very helpful. I would recommend as long as it’s a budget friendly night!

Parking area is well lit and safe. Rooms are clean, staff are helpful and great customer service. The breakfast could us a pick me up. It’s good if you need a quick bite but don’t expect to fill up.

Clean, affordable stay for a quick trip in Yakima. Place is a little dated, but well kept. Walls are thin, so we could hear people around us, including the snorer in another room. Would stay here again though if we had to. Property was clean and felt safe.

This place use to be good place to stay but they changed owners and the service seems shady now, I paid for the room but they told me I needed to pay 50 dollars in cash, I was not able to stay and they hotel keeped the money, like a scammer. I would avoid this place and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The customer service is bad.

The room was absolutely disgusting. I think there was more mold than paint. The toilet seat was dirty and had hair on it. The walls had holes all over and the smell was foul. I stepped in walked through and walked right back out.

The staff, especially the weekend cleaning lady, were very courteous and friendly. The heater in the room kept me warm and the shower stayed hot. Also, the gal that greeted me on Friday was especially nice.

Upon check in I was told a $2,000 fine if I brought a hooker back. Carpets were disgusting and everything I traveled with was sanitized upon returning home.

It's was a great place to stay the night staff were so nice and great customer service. Room was very clean. The bed was just right. Wifi signal reached the room no problem.

So let's be honest, at this price point you're not gonna get the Ritz. But it's a good room, except for the carpets. They are disgusting and make you think that the whole room is disgusting, even though it's not. Everything was washed properly. There was no bedbugs, I checked that all the time, everything was good. It was a really cheap, good nights stay, but that carpet needs to go. it just shows that the owner doesn't care about his customers if you leave a carpet like that in those rooms. He doesn't care about the look, or the cleanliness. But the place was actually clean except for the filthy disgusting carpet. As for the surrounding area , it is a complete garbage hole, but that's Yakima. We went when there was hardly anybody there, so I can't talk about the noise cause there was none.

I liked the location of the property and the staff was nice. The room was okay, the pool was not open long enough closed at 8:30pm and the breakfast really nothing to choose from no milk hot stuff...and ardly any parking spot but overall okay.

First off they are the cheapest during holidays but even then they should be clean and they were not. What looked like staining on sheets and towels there was mold on shower curtain on the bottom. Cornew. The shower has yellowing everywhere, toilet seat had splatter under seat. Corners of floor built up dirt. Unpaintwd wall repairs , No coffee maker in room, no Bible in room, the pool was tiny and full, the worst was the breakfast NO HOT FOOD , basically convenient store muffins, and bear claws, orange juice , milk. No eggs. No meat. No pancakes. No waffles just terrible! My message find another place u less thia is all there is nothing else available $93 dollars is cheap but next time i would pass ..tried to attach photos but it wont let me ..

Great experience with check in- helpful team and quick process. The beds were soft and comfortable as well as clean. The shower could’ve used some updating and a deeper clean, but overall not bad!

Never used a third party service to book and it went smoothly. Friendly staff, plenty roomy and comfortable beds. They also accommodated a last minute request for adjoining rooms. Even had mini fridge and microwave which was unexpected. Two minor negatives - some paper trash left in one ice bucket and no shampoo or conditioner in that room.

Not fancy but in good shape clean and comfortable beds. Rooms looked like they were recently updated. Outside was neat. Morning breakfast was nice. Only regret was the air conditioner could have been better. Great restaurant right across the street.

The bed feels good but as of the the towels dimming pull and air conditioning and also the tv..remote didn’t work the fridge wasn’t cold enough and I didn’t have a secure bathroom. I had to change rooms at no extra cost but I had no working batteries and really I should have been offered another night on the house by the looks of that pool and wholly towels soap had no smell and I feel itchy and not able to sleep. I won’t pay for a room next time here that’s just my honest opinion especially no batteries that work and no paper or plastic channel guide wow

The building has not had any kind of maintenance or upgrades or painting or cleaning for a long time and it shows. The room where we stay had a musty smell. The air conditioning was very loud and it seemed to have to work hard all night to keep the room at a a decent temperature. It says breakfast included, but the eating area was rundown, they had yogurts and muffins. That was what breakfast was all about. The only good thing about this hotel, was the people that worked there. Very professional and attentive to our needs and wants.

I suppose you get what you pay for. The breakfast was limited and they ran out of plastic utensils and sausage patties by 8am (no eggs at all). The stair rail was in need of repair and deferred maintenance was evident in multiple areas. The room was clean (not spotless) and secure though not quiet because of noise in adjoining rooms.

I saw that in the pool area, they had multiple grilling options for people to have cookouts on extended stays. The staff also is very friendly and approachable, and the owner G even took time to welcome me and ensure everything was good with my stay.

Not many people here during my stay. It was quiet.

We arrived a day late and the staff was helpful getting things figured out. However, the hotel is run down. The shower and toilet in the room need to be replaced. The lobby had a weird, overpowering smell and the breakfast was very disappointing - eggs in a crockpot, some yogurt, apples, and muffins. I had to sign a poorly photocopied sheet of paper upon check in that said I couldn't use illegal drugs or participate in prostitution. Yuck. I will not stay here again.

It was fine. Really cheap...think old motel 6. My issue was that the accessability shower was just a small regular tub with a hand rail. No shower wand. Impossible for me to use. I would recommemd a motel 6.

The room had a strong offensive odor, the floor was sticky, there was an insect in the shower, and hair in the bed. Oh, and the walls were poorly insulated; sound from other rooms was high. I canceled my reservation and departed.

The beds were comfortable They need to clean better. There was still sugar in the desk drawer and dirt behind the toilet. The blanket on the bed had a funny smell. It can use some fixing up and a good scrub down. The desk chair fabric was all falling apart.

When I called about the smell in the room the receptionist just suggested opening the windows but I would have rather been moved rooms

The front desk gal was very sweet. The hotel itself was massively run down. There were people obviously living there. And it was very shabby. The area that it is located in did not seem secure or safe at all! This was not a good place for two women traveling alone to stay. We were lucky enough to find another room at a hotel on a weekend where the entire town was sold out for an event. I am extremely disappointed with this booking. The photographs listed made it look like a really nice hotel.

Comfortable beds. Sketchy area. Inaccessible rooms. Paid for hot breakfast buffet and received a small frozen breakfast bag (no coffee or water) instead. Unsanitary and unclean. The location was good, easy access to the highway. The shower didn't work well at all. The facilities grounds are filthy. Dog feces on the walkways, cigarette butts strewn all around along with trash.

The staff was nice especially as I came in the middle of the night. They were friendly and got us in our room quickly. The trash was over flowing everywhere outside and the room wasn’t clean, the chair was covered in stains as well as the bed sheets. The shower had mold on the walls.
