    I have a handicap husband and the handicap room that I booked was the best handicap room that we have ever been in. I loved the room so much that I have made that my go to room if I ever have to stay at a hotel. This room touched on everything that my husband needs for his condition. I even sent pics to my family.

    We had booked the room for four people—two adults and two girls. However, the hotel provided insufficient towels for our shower needs. There were only two towels and two washcloths, which was inadequate for four people. The gym was a cramped space with limited equipment for workouts. The pool was a tiny jacuzzi, hardly suitable for swimming. The lounge area for breakfast was in disarray, with only one person cleaning the space. The hotel’s overall appearance was dated and unappealing. It was disheartening to find that parking was charged at $10 per night, even though we were already paying for our stay. To make matters worse, the hotel’s location was inconvenient. It was situated within a mall or plaza, and every night, we had to endure traffic jams just to get through. I strongly advise against entering through the Chic-fil-A side; it’s a long wait. This is the first time I’ve ever stayed at a Marriott hotel and been charged for parking, which is a significant inconvenience.

    1. Noisy air conditioner (like a cheap motel) woke me twice between 11:30 and 2:30, I packed and left at 3:15am 2.     Location was great, breakfast was ok. lighting in bathrooms was terrible, water pressure in shower was poor, blood or food stains on the floor, bedding looked used or had stains that were covered by another sheet, couch appeared dirty and the reading lights over the bed didn't work.

    The parking lot was small and areas were blocked off for a bus. The parking lot in the back did not feel safe. And you have to pay a parking fee. For what?The staff was not friendly when we requested our room to be cleaned. She did not even try to help. The fold out couch was disgusting with food crumbs and dirty. The room was extremely outdated. For the amount you pay for the night, i expect better. The breakfast was terrible. The attendant did not want to fill the food. Even though there were a ton of high school students waiting to eat. Save your money abd stay someplace else.

    I was charged a $40 incidental hold and told a $10 parking fee applied for the whole stay; staff didn’t collect vehicle details or provide explanations. My keycards later stopped working; the desk shrugged it off as a “new system” and said it would “probably” happen again. I checked out by 10:56 AM but found over $700 charged to my card by 3:00 PM. No manager was available on Sunday and staff gave vague answers. Unprofessional handling and unexpected fees—avoid if you don’t want surprise charges or untrained employees.

    This is a great hotel choice for families, as well as both leisure and business travelers. The hotel is very updated with comfortable beds, spa products, a stylish desk area, and nice fixtures and decor in the rooms. There is ample free parking right in front of the hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs, and there is a good selection at the complementary breakfast. Finally, it is close to shopping and restaurants. We will certainly stay here again!

    I had a terrible experience. Check in took forever. My room was double booked, while we were in the room, someone else ( a different guest) walked in my room. Apparently, the front desk gave them our room, while we had just arrived not even 20 minutes after. Later, we left to get dinner, we tried to go in our room and our keys didn’t work. Nice Hotel overall, but i personally had a terrible experience. Oh…and room service knocked at our door way too early asking if we needed service.

    The room was clean, and the first impression was positive since it smelled fresh. However, check-in took over 30 minutes. The complimentary breakfast was awful—there was hardly anything available, as they had run out of most items, and no employee was present. The food choices were extremely limited. The laundry services were great and free of charge, and there is a parking garage available. Unfortunately, the front desk service was very poor.

    The pool was out of order when we first arrived, but it was usable the next day. The room was wonderful, the AC nice and cold. The lady who checked us in was very nice and personable. The only issues we had with our stay was that the body wash in the shower was almost empty. Also breakfast was very lack luster. The waffle station was shut down by the time we came down, about 1.5 hours after breakfast started, and alot of the extras like yogurt and chocolate milk were not restocked. The only items that were restocked during breaakfast hours were the two hot items, eggs and sausage.

    The staff was nice and they had a carafe of half and half. Great water pressure and heat in the shower. Also the shower head was high up for us tall people. The room was so outdated. Outlets were hard to reach. Very tiny fridge. Not as clean as I would like it to be. Some of the surfaces still had smudges or something. Sheets and pillows had some stains on them. I had to pay 10$ a day to park.

    This hotel is so dated. The lighting is terrible, fluorescent, and very dim. Two of the lights didn't work in the room, so we called downstairs. Maintenance came up and the lights had been unplugged (based on the interaction, I feel like they unplug the lights regularly). The lobby had a very strong chemical smell, luckily the rooms didn't. I will say the room was clean, but the fridge wasn't very cold. The TV is so old and the picture quality was terrible. The bathroom was split, a toilet and sink in one area, and the shower and another sink in the other area. The sink where the toilet is was so short and seemed like an afterthought. The shower door opens in, but the shower is so small and when you open the door, the outside of gets of the door gets soaked. The washcloths were more like a microfiber cloth. We paid for a room with a king bed and it was definitely a queen bed. Also the $10 parking fee is stupid, it's self parking and they don't even check the permits at night because we asked. We forgot to put it in the window, so we called down and were told they don't' check them. Overall, too many issues to stay here again.

    Location very convenient The snow and ice in the parking lot was horrible and unsafe. They didn't do a good job at cleaning the icy and unsafe conditions. I was very disappointed especially with the rates and reputation. Don't think I will stay at that property again

    It was adequate for a free hotel breakfast. I did NOT like that when I got there I was informed that there was now a $10 parking charge. It was not on the booking information. I have stayed at this property many times before. This is a new charge. This property is not in DC, nor is it in Arlington or Fairfax County. I can't believe that a a Prince William County property -- and one at the very end of a private road, at that! -- now has to charge for parking for "security purposes"!

There’s a glass pocket door with smoked glass but when you close the door and turn on the light the whole room gets lit up and wakes everyone else up. The breakfast is mediocre at best. They had the mixing for a Mexican tortilla and no tortillas. Besides that the usual cereal and waffles. No danish or variety of fruit. The coffee was lukewarm. It’s convenient to a lot of fast food. They also charged $10 for parking at the hotel that you’re paying for. That’s a new one. When we were leaving the front desk girl was sitting in a chair looking at her phone. Nice hotel but needs much better management and easy improvements plus don’t charge your guests to park.

    The only suggestion I would have is the mattresses were uncomfortable. Including the pull out bed from the couch was also very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in them. The pillows also need upgrading. Everything else was perfect.

    It does appear they have done a refresh on some items however the rooms need more attention. Specifically the beds. The bed in my room literally had a creator in it, about the size of a watermelon. Certainly time for the mattress to be replaced. Also, beside the bed there was gum in the carpet. The hotel also has that old stale hotel smell, not fresh or pleasant. They now charge $10 for parking, which for the area of the hotel is odd. The employee who checked me in was nice and friendly. However the employee at the front desk in the morning, was preoccupied with his cell phone, he did not even look up or acknowledge me. I hope they can get it together.

    The mattresses felt like camp mattresses. I could feel the springs in the bed and so could everyone else in the family. I’m glad we only stayed one day. My boys were going to sleep on the trundle and couch. The mattress had stains all over it and there was tons of crumbs, candy and even a freeze pop that still had liquid in it. The hotel looks classy, the need to clean and get new mattresses.

    Everything was fine until last night, I got up to use the restroom and saw a live cockroach at the sink. I killed it. My room was on the fourth floor, so I believe the whole hotel is infested with cockroaches. I had the complementary breakfast the first two days which thinking I may have eaten cockroaches droppings made me feel ill. I told the front desk person and he said please call the manager later when they get in. I called and was told one of the managers left last week and the other manager was filling in for the GM and may be around Monday. The desk person said they had no way to contact the manager, then told me to contact costumer service. I called and they started a ticket for the incident and told me thank you for the information and have a nice day. It doesn’t seem they care about this at all.

    The hotel didn’t have hot water at night, no hot water in the morning and after 12, they turned off water due to some issue. Also their toilet and bathrooms are separate with a sliding frosted glass door and no lock for the toilet and bathroom. Their shower knobs were a century old. They seriously need a makeover for the hotel.

    1. I complete a thorough check of my rooms upon entering them i noticed the toilet in my first room was not flushing and had no water in it I called down to the lobby and was told there was no maintenance on site or on call for a completely booked hotel, this was un heard of so I was offered a new room. 2. The second room was not properly cleaned there were brown stains everywhere the bed was broke on one side and there was an awful smokey smell so I requested a new room and was told the rooms were all booked up and was offered cleaning supplies to clean a room Im not getting paid to clean so unacceptable so I asked for a manager was told yet again on a busy completely booked night that a manager would not be in or on call and that I could send an email and I'll be responded to on Monday when one is in, I've never heard of such the room was already paid for I had already driven 6+ hours from New York it was late and I was not being offered any type of assistance so I asked for my original room back and some tools to fix a toilet I was NOT getting paid to fixThen miraculously I was called that there was an alleged "cancellation" so was moved for a third time extremely frustrated extremely tired getting no real help,

    Was kind of upset to find out there was a notice from the fire marshall that the fire suppression system was inoperable. There also is not enough space between the trundle bed and the area where the gridge is to pull out the trundle all the way. Once it is out you can not access the fridge and you have to pull the mattress out to be able to put the sheets on it. If i would have been able to relocate and would've have lost my money on the booking i would have not stayed. Parking is horrible. We had to park down the hill in the back and walk around the gotel to check in as there was no where to pull in to checknin and at least get key cards to use a different entrance once parked. Breakfast was good. The room in general was okay. Could not use the tv from both queen beds and plugs for medical devices were not available without having to move night stand.

    We were disappointed, they told us when we checked in breakfast from 7-10. But we went down at 9.15 for breakfast and they start closing at 9.30. My daughter want some waffle and she couldn't get it, the lady said no more we close at 9.30. It's not about the food, it's the idea.

    It was very nice. The room was clean and was very large, which was surprising for the prices we paid. Parking was simple and free since we were staying, and the coffee at the breakfast was surprisingly good as well. We would stay here again.

    The location was very nice, clean, and quiet. My disappointment came with the room and bedding. The thermostat wouldn't hold the correct temp, the safe didn't lock (we did forget to let the front desk know), and the bed and pillows were horrible. The pillows were flat and hard and the mattress was hard and lumpy. Unfortunately, neither my husband or I were able to sleep comfortably. Overall we had a nice stay for the two nights we were there, but for long term stay, this would not be my first choice. I was also grateful that the hotel had a vacancy after a miss on my part with our first hotel.

    I thought it was a smoke free property, but the second floor was engulfed in cigarette smoke and the Friday night party didn’t quite down until 1am. I would recommend this property to all the partiers I know, if I knew any. Thank you!

    I've stayed at many Springhill Suites up and down the East Coast over the last 5-6 years for my business travels. I like the layouts of the hotels and the modern touches and tech. Unfortunately, this one is in need of some major updating. When I first checked into my room, I placed my items down and went and grabbed something to eat. Having the toilet and shower in separate rooms was a bit odd to me. About two hours later, when I returned, the first thing I noticed was the TV was about 20 years old and that it would not pivot or turn towards the couch/living area of the room. Most of the channels were grainy and not HD. Then I noticed the bed was extremely low to the ground. When I pushed down on to the mattress, I could press all the way to the box spring underneath and feel the springs poking through the mattress. I requested a different room due to the bed issues alone. I was assigned another room on the same floor down the hall. This one had two queen beds, but the same issues existed with those mattresses too. I was told all the beds were the same by the gentleman at the front desk. I'm a big man, and I can honestly say this was the most uncomfortable stay/sleep I've ever had. The network plug in the room did not work, so I was stuck using the wifi, which was not fast enough for me to use my VPN connection to work. Overall, not up to par with other SHS hotels for sure.
