The breakfast was nice. The bed was comfortable. Ample amount of sheets and towels. The fact that I seemingly scheduled during a maintenance period where they had water supply secured from 11 am to 4 pm when I was not working and needing a shower or a drink or rest. Whenbooking the reservation, I received no written or electronic notice that this was happening. The wifi was decent, however there were new boxes to some TV's but non of my TVs worked. I called but there was nothing they could do they said. Also the Microwave was locked from use, and called about that but they replaced it with a new one. The workout area was alright but I would have liked some better options. I didn't trust the pool during the maintenance period which was a bummer to say the least. Last, there are a lot of construction and emergency sounds nearby, which while isn't a big deal, there was a couple of strung out outsiders who kept being around vehicles and other parts of the property - one of which I believe to be accompanied by a pimp or a John, but it is hard to say. The other being along looked very strung out on drugs but did very little to prevent their access to the property or the build itself apparently. I get there are some things out of control but there being no courtesy to letting future travelers know of a water outage is rather disheartening. I honestly would say, go elsewhere.

I love this property and will stay here every time I visit Washington DC. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast area and the staff are exceptional. The current road construction in the area and the building's exterior does not reflect what a gem it is inside. It deserves a chance to become your favorite accommodation, too!

Overall this was an ok property. It was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good just not a large variety of choices as compared to others I have stayed. The bed was the absolute worst. We didn’t sleep at all. The bed was like sleeping on plywood. Mattress was worn out and thin.

Number one: courteous staff. Number two: clean rooms, corridors, etc. Number three: convenient location. Shady characters lurking around. Too much construction about the hotel.

Everything That the property didn’t have double adjoining rooms and that even though I book two rooms under one booking I was charge two separate times.which incurred higher fees

The sofa bed is so worn and very uncomfortable. Needed towels, asked the front desk clerk at 8am, she said had to wait until 8:30…..asked again at 9:30, she said not ready they will bring to the room…..checked out at 10:30 and still did not receive the towels. The front desk clerk was somewhat rude when I asked for change to use the washer and dryer….said you can try across the street. The breakfast staff was very polite and friendly.

The apps on tv not connecting to the internet (was not working). The toilets are made for children.They're very very small shower drain, not draining correctly.Hot water takes about twenty minutes to get hot Some of the furniture is not put together correctly. The table legs are put on incorrectly, which causes it to be at a slant. With a 2 inch drop, it really could not use it. The breakfast is limited at best especially when it comes to kids. Room number 305 avoid if possible.

The property offers an excellent location when visiting DC but not planning to spend days visiting all of the tourist sites there. You’re not dealing with the traffic and can be at a Metro stop in 20 minutes. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but is great inside! You will not find a nicer staff, the rooms are good and breakfast is lovely. You’re less than a mile from Potomac Mills and IKEA. N/A

Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed. Breakfast choice was very limited and not replenished as needed. Breakfast room was also too small for the number of guests. Shower head was clogged and barely spraying.

The staff was really friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was awesome. We expected a continental breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with all that this hotel offered. Eggs, waffles, cereal and more. Great way to start the rest of our travels.

The staff was friendly The hotel advertises that they have undergone a remodel. That is definitely false advertising. There was a weird air freshener smell when you walk in the lobby. That was probably so you would not notice the giant hole in the ceiling. The mattresses were old and sunken. The bathtub was old and rusty. Online photos show a nice new shower. There were homeless people walking through the parking lot. Local police seemed to patrol the parking lot. The night manager was kind enough to move us to another room for the 2nd night since the air conditioner intermittently sounded like a grinder. The new room was beside the mechanical room so we enjoyed what sounded like a freight train passing by.

There was no hot water in my room so I was unable to take a shower. When I reported this to the front desk, I was told that they would look into the problem and that meanwhile I would just have to wait. After an hour I had still not been updated so decided to leave. I informed the woman at the front desk, who asked if I wanted to try another room. At that time I just wanted to get back on the road. I was also told she could not offer any discount to my room rate, at which time I left.

This is one of the best properties to stay at. Great employees who are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very clean and looked like it had been recently updated. It was rather sparse as far as decorating. There were no pictures on the walls and very little to make it appear inviting. It felt a little institutional and it was very difficult to get into the parking lot. There was a very small entrance and it was blocked by long lines of traffic. The breakfast was nothing to write home about.

I always like to start the review with a positive. I didn’t make it the first day and called. The staff was accommodating and checked me in. Thank you. Now let me start with the main issue I had. I left early because I was so disgusted with my room. To begin, the room had a leak that look like it has been there for weeks, black mold was apparent (see the picture) I brought it to front desk attention right away, but it was 11pm and I was so tired from driving all day and attending a graduation. The next morning I noticed the horrific conditions of the room. I stayed in room 107 a handicap room. The windows were so dirty there is a white cloudy film, the toilet seat was damaged and peeling, there was stains on the white comforter, and a nasty brown stain on the bed skirt! The last straw for me was I saw something on the floor behind the chair, I went to get it because it looked like a scarf, I thought my daughter maybe dropped it putting her bag on the chair when I pulled it up it was a pair of dirty underwear!!!! Yuck! I checked out that night! Mortified and disgusted cannot even describe my feelings!!!!

Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff did an excellent job! Our son's partner also rented a room...that was clean-ish, but it stank of cigarette smoke that hit you as soon as you opened the door. If it was previously a smoking allowed room, the drapery need to be professionally cleaned to rid the room of that smoke. Breakfast was great...would've loved to have seen the pre-packaged egg-white, spinach and tomato round more than once in our 5 day stay, it was delicious! Cut fruit would be a nice touch, in the future. Pool was nice and in good condition. Staff pleasant.

Both nights if my stay, in the middle of the night it sounded like someone was rubbing back and forth in the room right above us.

Although somewhat updated, our bathroom inparticular was seemly messed up by various customers and not fixed, such as shampoo and soap off the wall, shower head that did not change modes and only shot out (as my 10 year old describes it) power washer mode, and a damaged tub with rust stains I'm the bottom. There was no soap tray or any other amenities like lotion on the sink. It was clean enough. The breakfast was fresh and upkept. Staff was nice and responsive.

The hotel is old and shows it's age. The lobby had a constant noise/humming sound and this sound extended to the hallways and in the room. It sounded like it was coming from the roof and very noisy on the third floor. The room had a stale cigarette and musty smell, the elevator smelled like weed, the television did not work in room 305, the bathroom provided shampoo/conditioner/body soap wall mounted containers had been ripped off the wall of the shower except one. The free breakfast was average.

The property is under construction and should have been identified as such. The pool and fitness area were closed due to construction. The dining was moved and was not indicated upon arrival. The lobby looks shabby. I would not have stayed here if I had known in advance. If under construction it needs to be labeled on Expedia and the property site.

Also had plenty of plugs for many devices. All the staff I interacted with we're very friendly and courteous and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was very good and nice variety. Also well kept up. Great for the price, highly recommend.

Beds comfi, sufficient towels, refrigerator in room great to have, breakfast provided. Biggest issue was there was a very loud humming in the room. Had to keep tv on to drown out noise.

There was no ice - big no no. The in room heat/ac was old and very loud. Woman at the desk was nice, but had to make excuses for no ice. Not a typical Marriott unit.

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room, service of staff, and convient of breakfast. There was only one baggage chart available and the wheels on it did not work properly. The bathroom sink was clogged in the room, but the hotel mechanic man fixed the clog.

Property is bit old, breakfast is not a Marriott breakfast , i always get to stay with Marriott hotels forever was a bit disappointed with their breakfast and Property besides that they get a 5 stars from me.

Everything was great. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet. The only thing I would say is the lobby had some sort of air freshner that was in use and it was WAY too strong. That and the pool was a bit too cold but really everything else exceeded my expectations.

You've chosen an area of high density with very high traffic, which makes logistical sense..for your purpose. Your staff were impressive, cordial and efficient. Your software for this activity needs work.

From the moment we got here, everything was top notch. Our check in went smoothly and the woman who checked us in was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. My grandkids loved the pool! All staff was courteous and smiling!

It was a good value for the area. There were people loitering in parking lot which turned out to be no big deal. They it executive suite had rust stains in the tub and the shampoo bottles had fallen off the wall. Room was a nice size. Cable channels - half worked, half didn’t.

The employees from the reception are unwilling to help. In the morning I mention that ain’t coffee and they sent me to the kitchen? Very disappointed.

We had a great stay. Decided to get closer to DC for the Cherry Blossom festival before staying DC. Plus a little outlet shopping.

The property was kind of dirty and run down. The pool which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel was closed due to "maintenance" but looked super dirty and looked like mosquitos were hatching eggs in it. The floors were sticky around the building, including the room we were in. The pillows were uncomfortable. The breakfast is served late and not very good. Not likely to come back. Wish I hadn't wasted the money

Very upset i received an email stating pool was open for use a.d when i arrived it was not operational. Also used ice machine and ice had foreign matter it in.

The hotel was not very clean. There was a large, what looked like blood stain on the carpet in room and the shower was leaking. not a little drip but a stream of water. also the pool was closed and that was alot of the reason we booked. Very disappointed!

This Fairfield Inn was not at the level of other Fairfield Inns where I have stayed. The breakfast area was lovely but the other public areas were not - for example the hallways and elevator. Our room had an odor to it and our bathroom had water damage to the ceiling which had been poorly repaired. The hotel was clean and safe but it was not at the 4.0 level.

The furniture is damaged. The ceilings are stained from water, and the bathtub is rusted. Everything smells bad, but nothing worse than the fitness center. The only thing I would recommend about this place is leaving quickly. We could not wait to get out of there from the moment we saw our room.

Overall it was a relaxing time for us. My son loved the pool, they must've just got done cleaning it, we assumed due to the amount of clorine. But besides that we had no problems.
