The stay was good until it was constant arguing and fighting from the neighbors kept me up thru the night and trying to find a working ice machine was definitely a cardio workout and still did not find one. No turn down service was provided the construction outside was an eye sore the cookies were amazing though bathroom was kinda dirty but didn’t complain just cleaned it myself overall it’s an average stay that was interrupted with fighting and arguing from neighbors

Room was not clean at all. The lady that checked me in refused to give me a clean room, and she had a bad attitude. However the last night I stayed another staff member fixed the issue. I hate I didn’t talk to the other start member prior but do not book this hotel.

Not how the photos suggested, the bathtub had cracks all over. The toilet low and small. Noisy AC / fan. Expected better service for the price paid. Breakfast is not included.

I experienced the same things as most of the reviews 3 months prior to mine. The key system was down on the night I came. The staff was helpful and informative on it, and it was working the next morning as I was handed my keys. what that said, I recommend utilizing the mobile check-in via mobile device, if you know how to do so that may or may not save you the hassle. I did find one ant near my AC unit, but no more. The room was probably in the best shape out of the hotel. Overall, it does seem to be an eight out of 10 hotel, my experience would give it a 7.5. It’s low for Hilton, but not bad overall.

When we checkin the door key system was not working. So we did not had keys until next day. They let us in using their master keys. The light lamp was not working even after reporting at front desk no one camw to fixed it. We stayed for 2 nights. Therewas no hand soap in bathroom or in shower tub. I ask front desk no one came until in the afternoon next day. There was no trash can in the room. When request for trash can I was handed 2 plastic bags to use it for trash. The room was not thorogly clean before giving to us.

The room shower is broken and very old, the black out curtains were not properly closing. After staying for few hours I went to a different hotel and stayed. Completely dissatisfied with Hilton, never expected that their maintenance is pathetic.

My experience was excellent. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and professional. They speak both English and Spanish, which made my stay much more comfortable and convenient. The rooms were very clean, well organized, and very comfortable. I also enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the overall great service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I had originally booked here but left right after viewing the room assigned to me. The front desk staff was not accessible via the phone in the room so I walked back with my luggage. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this property considering the state of the rooms.

We booked a 6-day stay at the Doubletree in Wood Dale - April 2026. The hotel has convienent access to highways, the price was decent, and the hotel looks appealing from the outside. The hotel is extremely large, with only one elevator on the far end of the building. The hotel has one ice maker that looked rusted and moldy. The rooms are outdated and extremely dark with very little lighting. The cable regularly went out (turned to static) and the internet went out for two days. We were working remotely while travelling and the spotty internet made it impossible. The shower head was awful, barely any pressure at all. Lastly, the hot water went out as we were getting ready to attend a company dinner which was the deal breaker. As we left, we saw a sign posted stating the hot water would be out for the afternoon due to maintenence. This Doubletree is currently making huge outdoor renovations in the center courtyard garden area, but they should be focusing on updating the interior. We ended up switching to a different hotel on day 4.

Our late night check-in went extremely well and the individual working the desk was very accommodating. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was expensive ($18.95/person), poorly maintained, poor quality and definitely not worth $18.95. Very disappointing. Overall, a good, quality hotel; however, the quality of level I would expect a Doubletree.

It was a terrible experience for the first time to stay in a hotel. Rooms were very dirty asked the front desk to change the bed sheets( the sheets had some sort of black stains and pillow had stains as well) and they never changed the sheets to clean ones. Had to leave that same night(Saturday)casue they never clean the room. The front desk lady was rude as well. Would not recommend this hotel to be honest. Very terrible experience.

The room was decent enough, but it was not checked very well before booking. There was no shower curtain, the safe had no power to operate, the clock was not plugged in, the closet door was tightly stuck closed, and the room phone did not work to call the front desk. Somebody was not on the job.

Staff were great. Room was mediocre. The carpets are stained, paint is chipping, part of the heat/AC unit was unattached and sitting adjacent. The AC was SO LOUD and rattled we turned it off completely. The room reeked of hideous disinfectant/deodorizer which gave me a headache, I had to open the window and stand in the doorway to get cross breeze to clear it out. The in-room “coffee” was gross brown water and the free lobby coffee wasn’t any better. When I asked the night crew for an extra blanket (see heat/AC unit above) the gentleman said he didn’t think they had any. No, the hotel was not sold out. They did manage to find a blanket so I didn’t freeze. As a Hilton property, I expect a lot better. There are several better options in the area than this.

It was calm and clean! The day I booked I requested a free crib, I also called and the agreed to arrange it for us. Since we were checking in late in the night I texted the hotel again in the earlier in the day to remind them about the crib. But when we arrived the staff that checked us in was a bit rude and didn’t want to help finding us a crib. We had to co-sleep with the baby in the bed (knowing our infant, it was a stressful night). But the morning staff was very cool and found us a crib.

If i could give this place a zero i would. I got there and into my room i checked around and noticed that wy sheets were stained yellow in spots. I immediately went down to switch rooms. The next room was just as bad accept it also had a stained matress pad and the tun hasn't been cleaned in weeks. It was 1:30 in the morning at this point so i took some clothing out of my suitcase and slept on top of my stuff and checked out the next morning and left to a different hotel. No one seemed to care that these issues were happening.

The hotel itself was veryyyyy dingy. The room was even worse. Overall sense of being dirty. Various stains, tears on the walls, etc. The curtains didn't even close all the way!! Not just a little sliver of light too but a full 4 inch gap! One of the reasons I booked this room too was for the bathrobes provided and there were none. The heater was also SO loud and obnoxious, neither of us could sleep. Also $18.50 PER person for breakfast? Ridiculous.

As we walked down the hallway, there was a noticeable unpleasant odor. The hallway carpets had visible stains, including what appeared to be a possible blood trail. There is only one elevator in the building, and there was no inspection certificate posted. Additionally, one of the elevator panels was broken. All amenities are out of order; pool and fitness room. Our room had a strong moldy smell. In the first room we were assigned, the thermostat was broken. The bathroom was visibly dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly. The tables were dusty, and there were stains on the ceiling that looked like water damage. The storage room is located directly next to our room, and we could hear staff entering and retrieving items throughout the day and night, which disrupted our sleep. The cookies were consistently out of stock. Overall, the building is not up to standard. The only positive part of our experience was the front desk staff member who checked us in. Although clearly overwhelmed, they remained kind and professional throughout.

Definitely not what I was expecting. When I first went to check in they had advised the girl in front of me that the indoor pool was closed with no explanation and she said she even called the day before to ask if it was open. I had reserved a double bed with balcony and the only view was a horrible construction site in the middle of the building. The next day to check out no one told me it was a breakfast that was an additional cost. There was no service and no napkins or utensils until I asked (and still wasn’t told there was going to be a charge). After checking out and getting my belongings I was an approached by this lady telling me to pay for breakfast and I was confused. I asked her who the manager was and she said it was her and to at least pay for 1 breakfast. Like lady if I was told there was going to be a charge I could have gone somewhere worth it. Everything was cold eggs, sausage and potatoes. Horrible would never book here again. Don’t let the star rating and pictures fool you.

I didn’t eat breakfast My fridge had old trash. I had a busy schedule so i didn’t get to. call front desk . I really didn’t want yo use the phone. Didn’t look clean. And we never seen people at desk. I had to get the China to come to the desk as she was in dining area chatting with another worker posted behind a wall. This was when I checked out and expressed my concerns. As she told me I should have said something. She was unprofessional and made the conversation uncomfortable as if I shouldn’t have told her the issues

I was sent to two dirty rooms before I got a clean one. Also, I reserved a King with patio doors and that room wasn’t available, The building is under construction, the restaurant was closed, it was dusty in there and I kept sneezing. I did see a sign that said “excuse the dust” I will never go there again.

I I changed my own sheets because I was tired of moving around. It's an early and late checkin/out fee, crazy asf. I expect a lot out of Hilton especially the way that their rewards system works anymore and I don't know if it's worth it to stay here just being honest

The rooms were not in great condition. The toiletries mounted to the wall were not filled so there were extra bottles sitting along the tub. The rooms felt like it wasn't actually clean. The AC/heating unit was so loud. Beds and pillows need to be upgraded. The hotel is being renovated.But it did not feel clean. There was a used band-aid on the floor outside my door for the entire three days we stayed, so basically the carpets were not vacuumed. The coffee bar was sub-par. The breakfast that was being offered at $18.95 per person was absolutely worse than any free hotel breakfast by far. I am so happy we decided not to add that as part of our stay. While the staff was nice, they were not super professional. One evening desk attendant was on his earbuds speaking to someone while watching a game on TV - not even at the front desk. Another front desk employee was speaking so loud about another employee to a third employee, I could hear her from the coffee bar. I had to go to the desk twice to ask for things to be re-stocked at the coffee bar. That was when she decided to clean it up and take out the garbage. Another family we saw was very disappointed that they were not told prior to their stay that the pool was being renovated as well. The kids were so disappointed. I would have been furious if I was that parent. Won't be coming back. There are so many hotels close to O'Hare and Schaumburg to choose from.

The room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Like sleeping on a cloud. The room was warm, cozy, and inviting. The shower had the most amazing water pressure. The shower temperature valve was touchy and went from super hot to cold. You had to work at it for the best temperature. Now the negatives. The shower was clogged up and had to stand in standing water during the entire shower. The pressure was so much that the water was spraying out of the tub and the floor got wet. The shower head is fixed so you can not move it. I liked the toiletries in the shower but my room was out of conditioner. I have long hair so my hair got super tangled. There was hair all over the bathroom. Looks like maybe a dog was is this room. The hotel is very dated like the walls, carpet, tub/toilet. It all looks dirty and dingy. The shear curtains were ripped and tattered. Come on, can’t afford new curtains? And the elevator seemd sketchy. I felt like we were gonna get stuck. We did not use the pool or eat the breakfast. I would not stay here again.

The room was lacking. One night stand didn’t have a light or plug for cell phone or electric devises. There were stains on the wall. The coach had a whole in it. The tv in the front room didn’t have a remote and could not be turned on. There was not enough towels and couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone for service.

Room: meh. It looked like the room hadn't been wiped down in months because there was dust covering the alarm clock and the facial mirror in the bathroom. The shower stall didn't drain so I had to limit my shower before it would overflow. The door was badly water damaged for shower overspray and I can't imagine the mold. I could hear the tv from the room behind the bed at 11pm clear as day so I couldn't sleep. I could hear the radio or alarm in the room on the other side of me at 4:30 am until about 5:15. They weren't loud, so it's not like the people were being rude!

Room was completely disgusting, invested with fleas all night I was getting attacked and saw them on the white blanket. Went to take a shower in the morning and they were inside the white towel threads ! I had a service dog with me and thank god he had is prevented flea treatment but he was shaking them off non stop, I had to leave urgently with no shower take him get a flea dip bath , and all of my clothes were infected as well , had to spray them, stem them , had to do the same with my car have it sprayed and cleaned . This hotel was a nightmare and cost me a fortune and torture

Do not book this hotel. I stayed four nights and the customer was terrible i asked for service and didn't received any service all my stay there .when i inquire about not received what i requested for which was trash bag , do not disturb sign and toilet paper i was asked if i want to leave by the front desk agent by the name CHYNA instead of an apology no customer service was given.

Dirty bathroom, guest services never delivered requested towels for three days. The elevator broke down during our stay and there was no complimentary breakfast. There also wasn’t a microwave in our room and when we found one in the unfinished lobby, it was not clean. There was water damage in the bathroom, and the tv only had the basic options. Not even a smart tv for entertainment. Beware if you have a low car, the entrance has a big dip which is a negative indicator for someone with a low profile car. Lastly, the lounge chair in the room had a huge stain on the arm rest and the air conditioner/ heating and cooling unit made a lot of noise so sleep was not good

That said, there were 2 employees who helped us get towels for the pool and get fresh towels after midnight when we found out our room had not been serviced. Also, the hotel lobby is messy with make-shift signs and dirt on the floor from construction. It would be easy to tidy that up.

The room didn’t offer everything it said! No Robes one Bath towel and one wash cloth. Out of toilet paper only a half roll. Also place is under a lot of construction. Are patio was very tiny in the corner of the patio was 2 beer bottles and Seven doggie bags of poop. Just a Miserable time. I would think Expedia would recommend better Hotels. I would like reimbursement.

I almost canceled when I read the reviews and by the way, I’m a seasoned traveler – but it was too late and only for one night, so I hoped for the best. I just want to say I have no idea why this place got such terrible reviews. The property is going through some upgrading you could tell, and the staff was excellent, professional polite, and everything was very clean. The lobby area was modern, the elevator you can tell is being renovated, the hallways were clean, and my suite was very clean and the bathroom looks like it was just remodeled. Don’t let the reviews scare you.

Hotel was fine for a weelend stay however, the cleanliness at this hotel is a real issue. Sticky elevator floors and walls, matter of fact all walls need a good scrub. Room was fine but im certain housekeeping does not thoroughly clean and they didnt show up to clean til 6pm the next day. From the very first night, serious issues arose. The hotel itself appeared outdated and had an unpleasant odor throughout the building. When entering my room, it was immediately clear that cleanliness and upkeep were not being maintained. The bed linens and pillowcases were visibly stained, and when I requested replacements, I was simply handed clean sheets and told to change the bedding myself—something I have never been asked to do at a full-service hotel. The bathroom was also unacceptable. The floor was cracked, there was hair on the walls, dried residue on surfaces, and the provided toiletries were completely empty. By the following day, the shower had backed up and the toilet became unusable. When I reported this to the front desk, I was told maintenance was unavailable and there were no other rooms to move me to. I made it clear I would be gone all day, giving them ample time to resolve the issue, but when I returned at midnight, the toilet was still clogged and the shower still inoperable. At that point, I had no choice but to check out a day early and secure a room at another hotel. Unfortunately, because of their policies, I was unable to receive a refund and had to absorb the full cost of this stay in addition to paying for another hotel due to their incompetence.

My room was nice I got there had a long work week so I wanted to get away from the kids a few day. I got there got comfortable got up to use the restroom turned on the lights in the bathroom and 3 roaches crawling on my throngs on the counter and the mirror. After that I had to sleep with all the lights on because I was too scared to turn them off after that because the roaches who have started running around again. I frequent this best western and it was shocking to me to see this. So I came to rest and still couldn’t rest well a wasted trip and money. I wish I could add a photo but by the time I got my phone to take a picture they ran into cracks.

Waited for nearly a half hour at unattended front desk to check in. 10 others in line, too. Desk clerk was the only employee on duty and was handling housekeeping and other services. Morning checkout was the same…no one there for 20 minutes. Get more staff out close the hotel!

My husband and I were traveling for our 10 year anniversary. The gentlemen that checked us in was super nice! We checked in around 10:30pm. I grabbed a glass for water and it had lip gloss on it. When we woke up the next morning, the room was not very clean. Cobwebs everywhere and something gross was hanging off the ceiling. The hotel had a good presentation and it was comfortable.

I didn’t like the pet fee of $75 because it really never said that just pet friendly when I booked? Also there was not anyone to check out the next day waited for 10-15 mins? The breakfast is around $15 per person and dinner which I didn’t bother with.. Hotel seems to be on a decline, which noticed in room stains on carpet, drain popes out of shower like they caulked it down.. The TV couldn’t operate from the remote! I had troubles with WiFi .. I am not sure if I would stay there but harder to find places with a dog who is not service dog. The staff don’t seem to speak good English and are somewhat rude and not very impressed with the way they are! Not a 4 star place at all! But I would stay if I had to because it was not too unsafe.

The hotel met my needs but was not the Doubletree I’m used to. I arrived in the evening and it was difficult to see from the road. The parking lot and entrance were dark making me uncomfortable walking in. I ordered a meal from the bar and it was not as described on the menu. They charged us $2 for a bottle of water. It makes a way nicer impression to add that $2 to the overall room price and just give a complimentary water bottle to each guest. Most uncomfortable bed I've slept in at a hotel. Woke up with pain in my hips and back. First room i was put in, the curtain would not draw completely and the patio door had a gap when closed. Bright spot was the original woman who checked me in. The following two trips to the front door the room and then wifi password there was only a gentleman at the desk. He needs a review and some training. Doesn't know how to talk to customers or manage multiple customers. Hopefully better options in the area for a stay.

Upon arrival it took a bit long for someone to help me at the front desk. There was a sign saying that they were helping another customer. When the attendant did arrive service was with a smile and an apology. We had a family trip with 3 separate reservations. My reservation was for two rooms with king beds, which was as requested. The other two parties who reserved before I did also reserved the same but both received two double beds. Rooms seemed clean but fingerprints were all over the microwaves and my daughters fingers were dirty with sticky brown stuff when she opened the fridge door. Hallway carpets were dirty. The other parties rooms had empty shampoo and lotion. No light in hallway bulbs in both rooms reserved. First day of cleaning, bathroom not cleaned, coffee maker not cleaned and refilled. Water in shower/tub did not drain well in both rooms. Toilet water does a slow death spin before it goes down. Beds, pillows and comforters were comfortable. If you like hot water it definitely got scorching hot and did not run out. Cookies upon check in was a nice and unexpected touch. There was no elevator but the stairs were not too bad. The little window by the door made it feel a bit different and nice from other hotel stays. Location was in a business park area. Parking was easily accessible and felt safe enough. Well lit. Probably wouldn’t stay there again for awhile but appreciated the convenience of being able to stay on the same floor not too far from each other.

Basic necessities such as a kettle (which we needed for our baby) were not provided. The central grass area was unmaintained, the room windows were dirty, and spider webs were left in the corners, showing the rooms were not cleaned properly at all. This property is absolutely not a 4-star hotel. I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. I honestly don’t know how it has achieved such a rating. Overall, this was a very bad experience, and if I could rate it 1 out of 10, I would.

The issues began right at check-in. The front desk staff seemed confused and were not very helpful. A major reason we booked this hotel was the advertised airport shuttle. Upon arrival, we were told it wasn't available. We received two conflicting excuses: one staff member told us, "They have the shuttle, but no driver," while another suggested that Hotels.com might have misrepresented the service due to the hotel's proximity to the airport, claiming they had never offered a shuttle. This lack of clear information and accountability was frustrating. Our room was just okay, but needed better cleaning, with dirty corners in the bathroom tub. The AC unit was disruptively loud, and the beds were merely adequate—not the level of comfort expected from this brand. The service issues were clear when we went to the pool. There were no towels, and I had to wait over 15 minutes for anyone to appear at the front desk. When I asked, the staffer was dismissive, saying "they should be at the pool," before spending another 10 minutes searching for them. Overall, the property feels tired and needs a significant upgrade. The one positive note was the delicious warm cookies, but a cookie can't make up for service and facility failures. I would not recommend staying here until major improvements are made.

As someone familiar with Hilton quality, I didn't fully enjoy a four-star experience. I recommend addressing issues like replacing the silicone sealant, painting or replacing the swollen bathroom door, cleaning the carpet stains, addressing the ant problem, replacing old furniture, and upgrading to a newer TV. Other than that, I had a quiet and safe night.

We had to deal with ants for 3 of the 5 days we stayed even after we mentioned it to the front desk twice and the cleaning crew multiple times by the 3rd day they finally came in and sprayed the entire room for ants. We also had asked the cleaning staff to replace the towels and things after the third day. They just changed the trash bags and added a few more towels. It didn’t take the old ones with them as they were still hanging in the bathroom door. We originally got double billed but I got that fixed after I reviewed my credit card acct and notified it. Had three different people tell me where the ice maker was one said third floor another said one was near the pool entrance then another said go ask the front desk. She said they usually keep some in the freezers in the vending room. However she was kind enough to get a bag full out of the kitchen area. If you stay in a suite make sure it has ac in both areas as the it suite had one pull out couch and one king bed. Only the king bedroom had the ac so the front area got quite warm. Until they finally sprayed for the ants we were having to keep out trash inside the microwave because nothing was safe even in the bathroom and the coffee area. They never changed out the two glasses that was left by the sink. At $229 plus taxes per night it should have been a lot better.

There were issues form the minute we got to the hotel. But we were too far from home and everything surrounding the area was completely booked. The toilet has feces in it when we got to the room, the blankets were ripped. We tried asking for blankets later in the night, the call wouldn’t go through for at least a half hour, finally go through was told they would bring some down and did not. The receptionist when we left was rude.

The staff, although understaffed, was polite and accommodating. The first night was a challenge due to a barking dog next door in the middle of the night. There is little soundproofing from the hallways because there is a large gap letting in light and sound around the door. We rectified this stuffing a towel underneath. The coffee was good. I tried calling the front desk and got no answer, so I had to go downstairs in person to report the issue, which was very inconvenient. On top of that, the layout of the hotel is odd—if you have luggage, be prepared to walk a long distance from the elevator to your room. What made the experience worse was the $50 late checkout fee. I had asked for a 12:00 PM checkout and left around 12:30 PM, but was still charged. They said “no matter how late you are, even a minute, it’s $50”—which feels excessive and rigid, especially when housekeeping wasn’t even nearby. Really disappointing experience, especially for a well-known hotel brand.

The hair dryer in our room was broken, and it took the entire day to get it replaced—even after we had to call the front desk again to remind them. The level of service was very slow and unprofessional. Worst of all, the bed sheets were dirty. Two of my friends developed itchy skin rashes after sleeping in the beds. This raises serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene and cleanliness standards. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. There are much better and cleaner options available for the same price.

We requested and reserved two double beds. We were offered one double and a sofa bed. There were no sheets/comforters, we had to get these plus two additional bath towels since we have 4 people. However, we were under the assumption that the breakfast would be included in the stay, but was $18 for standard breakfast at another similar hotel chain. This was disappointing for the cost of room. We did have to have the hotel to clean the fridge in the room upon our arrival. But was done expeditiously.
