Horrible stay. We walked in and turned right back out. Dead cockroach’s in the kitchen. Floors look like they had not been swept of mopped. What topped it off for me was the bathroom not clean and the LIVE cockroach I found on the pillow. The smell of the place was nasty. Had kitchenettes but you had to go ask for everything at the front desk. Very gross, will never be back.

Property could use some maintenance. Overall is pretty good, just some things are dated and wore out.

I guess it was the memorial weekend crowd but lots of loose trash blowing about and also the pool is broken all you can do is stare at it and wish it worked. I hope this isn’t indicative of what the future holds because it’s not too bad a place, just needs some maintenance before it goes downhill too fast

the front desk staff did an amazing job. I was concerned about the locks on the door they did not look really secure to the point that I put 2 chairs up against the door. The bathroom did not appear clean to me from the shower to the toilet. There seemed like a lot was going on outside my room. People were loud and appeared that someone got into an altercation with another person. I saw 4 roaches in the room which truly concerned me. I was due to stay 2 nights left after first night because I did not feel comfortable. Upon check out the front desk staff appeared to have no empathy for my situation. I tried to explain what happened she pretty much shut me down. I asked if there was a manager on duty who could assist, and she said there was no none to do that. She gave me a card with name of manager but them told me she was off that day, and she would probably not answer the phone. I was not rude or loud and very respectful, but her attitude made me say I can do a review instead so potential customers will know what I experienced. I thought based on price and location everything would be good. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again even if it was the only one in town. I would sleep in my car first!!!!! Customer service is very important to me, and I did not receive any.

Lots of long term residents who leave early in the morning and are active late at nights. Lots of smokers in the public areas (balconies/stairwells etc). Ok for somewhere cheap but not if you want a quiet relaxing stay.

A lot going on outside at all times . Also parking compared to where your actual room was , was very confusing and hard to find a spot to keep from having to walk far if on second floor . The rooms were below average . Old , not very clean . It smelled weird when you came in , but that was to be expected because it was a room you were aloud to smoke in . It was just me and my husband for once and we wanted to be able to smoke in the room , so our standards weren’t very high for finding a place that you could ! The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on I think . Oh and also , our smoking room had no ashtray . That was a little inconvenient, but we made it work . But the staff was nice and it was just the little , affordable place my husband and I were looking for for the night . Would not stay again ?

The staff were wonderful, the lobby had some frozen dinners which was nice after a long drive and not wanting to go out or have fast food. The linens appeared fresh & clean, toilet\shower clean, so I stayed even tho the rest of the place was very sketchy. The staff were friendly the manager was great I lost my watch and she returned it. Our first room was not that great water was leaking through the ceiling in the bathroom and room. The second room we were put in roaches were coming out of the sinks. I did not to complain it was still a good place to stay. Everything was very close by. But I wish they redid their whole building they have great potential.

Their "pantry" barely had anything. Not even water. The coffee station only had sugar. I wouldnt dare cook in there for fear of what would come out of the little flat top thing they had in the c. Trying to take a shower made me gag from whatever smell came from the fan/vent. The cabinets were missing pieces from the door. Very odd place. If you just need a place to sleep, bring your own bedding and towels & ignore everything else and you should be ok...However, for the price per night, do yourself a favor and chose another hotel. The front desk people couldnt care less about your stay anyways so save yourself the money and dissapointment.

That it was very convenient for eazy access to all of the attractions which was awesome I'll stay again if I have another vacation to take

Took 45 minutes to get into the room. Floor was filthy. Everything was old and out dated. A lot was damaged or in bad condition. Screaming kids, screaming parents. They said they would refund me but booking.com has not refunded my card.

The pics didnt represent what my room looked like. This place needs serious renovations. I had maintenance come look at the floor. There was water in the floorboards. the ac worked great but it leaked-a lot. The pool was nice. And the staff was very nice.

First room we checked into was basically flooded, had to switch rooms. Had a smell in theb other room, stiff beds, no drink or snack machines, dirty towels in the room, couldn't get extra towels or sheets. There was a lot of shady people hanging out outside and was loud at night. Would not stay here again.

It was in Wilmington Everything. Sheets stained, room not swept, my boyfriend had to ask for a trash can. I booked a queen room and was given double beds. It’s a smoking room with no ashtray. The shower is actually falling apart. There was also roaches in the room.

The refrigerator make a loud rumbling noise and had no coolant to it. The freezer needed defrosting and, I would recommend replacing the entire unit., at most! The kitchen had absolutely no supplies- not even a roll of paper towels !

The property was not what was reflected online. Dead roaches, broken cabinets, very stained mattresses, even though the sheets appeared clean we could not sleep on the bed without our own blankets or towels covering them. Door locks from inside broke, cleanliness was horrible. Toilets clogged and went all over our hotel floor. Pool closed at 8 instead of 10 like normal hotels. Rooms smelled like must Stove top was dirty. Asked for room to be recleaned on first day

I didn’t realize when I booked, but apparently there are people who permanently live there, which was just kind of odd to me. We had a non smoking room, but could smell weed coming through the bathroom vent. The floors were absolutely filthy. The shower head was squirting water out of it onto the floor, and when we cleaned it up, the floor was so dirty that it turned the towel black. Fridge was loud and sounded like it was going to blow at any moment. The locks on the door were barely hanging on, and at one point it sounded like someone was trying to come in on us, so my fiance got tools from his car and fixed the locks. A roach tried crawling in our bags to escape that place. There were some sketchy looking things going on in the parking lot. The staff was nice, but nice staff doesn’t make up for the conditions. I don’t recommend staying here.

Room had a terrible smell, the room also had roaches, microwave was dirty, we also pulled the sheets back to look at the mattress and it was super dirty, stained, and had brown spots. It wasn’t just a specific part of the mattress, it was the entire thing. Room 139.

It was very dirty - there were weird stains on the walls, the chair, and the bedskirt; the bed was dirty and I wasn’t sure whether it had been changed or cleaned; the floors were dirty enough that my dog was finding stuff on the floor to eat; and the smell in the non-smoking room was very strong. When I asked to be moved to a new room, it still smelled strongly but was a little cleaner (still dirt in the chair and on the nightstand) and I was trying to convince myself it would be all right to stay in when, after a little while, I noticed a fair amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling. When I went down and said I would find somewhere else to stay, the very kind woman at the front desk told me that hotel policy prevented them from refunding me anything onsite, even the pet fee I had paid upon arrival, and that I would need to go through management to see what could be arranged. I have yet to resolve the situation.

The rooms were filthy. Trash can full, dirty towels in the room, the drawer had a used wash cloth in it. There was mold ALL OVER!! Paint peeling, a/c leaking into room, coffee pot didn’t work(asked for a replacement and was told “we don’t have one”) There were people we can only guess that live there…hawking every time we walked out the door “can get a cigarette” “can I get a light” “got a couple dollars” and yes it was always the same two people Most of The staff was amazing and friendly and professional. A couple were quite rude. When I asked to have my a/c looked at…the “handyman” showed up with a jar full of screws…yes I typed that correctly. We told him don’t worry about it. We suffered thru the leaking a/c. The shower leaked and soaked the floor while we took showers. The housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired…seriously trash cans were slam full. We had to clean before we could even settle down. The linens were clean at least. We chose this property based on its description…WOW DID THEY LIE!!! I will attach photos. My eyes are so swollen from the mold I couldn’t drive home..sister had to drive. From the entry to the bathroom it’s completely filthy. Just awful. I normally won’t leave a bad review…I’ll just say nothing. Don’t stay

Paint peeling, a/c leaking into room, coffee pot didn’t work(asked for a replacement and was told “we don’t have one”) There were people we can only guess that live there…hawking every time we walked out the door “can get a cigarette” “can I get a light” “got a couple dollars” and yes it was always the same two people Most of The staff was amazing and friendly and professional. A couple were quite rude. When I asked to have my a/c looked at…the “handyman” showed up with a jar full of screws…yes I typed that correctly. We told him don’t worry about it. We suffered thru the leaking a/c. The shower leaked and soaked the floor while we took showers. The housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired…seriously trash cans were slam full. We had to clean before we could even settle down. The linens were clean at least. We chose this property based on its description…WOW DID THEY LIE!!! I will attach photos. My eyes are so swollen from the mold I couldn’t drive home..sister had to drive. From the entry to the bathroom it’s completely filthy. Just awful. I normally won’t leave a bad review…I’ll just say nothing. Don’t stay

The lock on the inside was not secure at all, it was very loose. I placed tge ironing board thru the handle to secure it at night. The shower had hair inside. Not mine, my hair was braided up. The AC unit was leaking water on the floor, the maintenance guy had to come in ckean up the water, fix the AC and then it was louder and he left towels up under for the leaking water. The staff although was really nice, and so was the maintenance guy. That place needs a complete renovation and to be updated. It’s definitely giving Norman Bates hotel vibes.

Was standing in rain for a out 18 mins before they ever got there. Mold on sheets spiderwebs in all corners . Floor had not been mopped ever I don't think. Stained up w5 year old chair . This place is absolutely disgusting from the ceiling to the floor there's roaches the floor hasn't been mopped in probably a year there's like poop on the wall the hot water doesn't work the fridge barely gets cold and the bathroom door doesn't even shut.

When we went to get additional towels and pillows, there was no one in the office although the sign said they did not close until 11. We had to wait 20 minutes before someone came to the door. We were unable to get additional pillows and only 1 additional towel set. Upon parking in of the door of our room a lady placed a cone in the parking space and would not allow us to park although there were no other places to park. There was a gentleman continuously popping fireworks from 10pm- 2am every evening right outside our room door.

seemed tidy and clean but there is no soap and barely any towels. staff is rude but helpful. one of the only hotels who service wilmington locals for a 200 dollar deposit.

The rooms where nasty when we got the I got my room key and some homeless man was in my room sitting in the bed smoking a cigarette and it wasn’t safe so we left

Every one was welcoming we come in for a short trip and i jad my mother whos in a wheel chair with me and we was placed up stairs but they was able to get it switched over i didnt see any bugs house keepers was bive and let me use there broom and stuff on days we was there to keep the sand down ! But the pool waant open to us and that made my kids upset other than that it was great its cheap amd convenient! Would stay again

There was a barking Doberman in the room next to us and it frequently smelled like weed. Unclean and icky. Would have been better off booking one of the neighboring hotels. At checkout I walked into the lobby to find someone sleeping on the couch. I would not stay here again.

this was the worst place I have ever stayed. There were roaches, burn holes on the furniture. It was disgusting…sketchy guy working on his car and no attendant to assist when my key would not work coming in at midnight……my daughter and I literally stayed with the dresser drawer up against the door. I was in shock a place could be open for business like this

The staff was not very polite. I was charged a $200 deposit for the hotel being “local” even though I live in another town and have not ever been charged a “local fee” in any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the same town. I was charged $35 a night for my dog to stay with me even though it was never mentioned to me before my stay. The room was musty, the sheets were stained, and there were people partying all through the night in the rooms around me. I honestly could have stayed at the Hilton in town and paid less and had a nicer stay.

However, the room had several problems. The microwave oven was broken and had a "shorted display" fault and was blaring out a loud alarm. I had to look around for the plug inside a cupboard to shut it off. The shower/tub was leaking pretty fast and the pillows smelled funny. Much of the room was a little sticky... A little attention to the room would have made this a better stay.

Room didn't smell stale, it smelled of weed. Pillows were crap. Thankfully it was too chilly for the pool cause it was nasty. I'm sure they just sweep the floors cause the bottom on my daughter's sock were dirty after walking around in just socks. While checking the room I saw under the mattress..HORRID

Been coming here most years for a decade. The rooms are nice with a kitchen. This year they required a deposit of $50.00 at check in for the first time. They say it will be refunded. Hopefully.

The sheets weren’t clean. One bed had makeup still on the pillow cases, so they weren’t washed. The other bed had hair all in the sheets. Staff was very nice but the conditions of the room was just nasty.

When I arrive at 3 pm my room was not ready. But the ladies that was working there made sure they was going to get a room ready for me.They were very helpful and nice . I really enjoyed my stay these ladies went above and beyond to make sure my stay was great. I will definitely be back .

Let me say the good thing first, the room was clean. The property is dirty and garbage laden, there were people smoking and barbecuing in front of their rooms and one had the feeling of not being safe at this hotel. The staff did nothing to remedy this

My room was damaged by the previous guests and I was given two singles for the same price - but the rooms were not ready by 3 - it was after 4 - - but the staff was nice and made every effort to improve our stay

Did not check in until nearly 4 pm, because they were "understaffed" butf whole waiting i saw the house keepers on there phones out side of the rooms doing nothing .....but when i got into the room it was good for the money 12 minute drove to wrightsville beach but had alot of shopping options near by

Reception staff super helpful and friendly. Hotel pretty typical of “lower end, extended stay” place . Always a few sketchy-looking folks around, but room was clean and did the trick for a place to stay to hit the beautiful beaches nearby .

Roaches, flies and gnats were horrible, I never opened my door but they were still coming in, the floors were black, like they have never ever been mopped. Also paint splattered everywhere all over the floors cabinet doors. Every one of them were sticky to the touch.
