    Overall very clean and comfortable. Moderate breakfast (bagels, cereal, oatmeal and fruit, muffins, juice, coffee/tea). No coffee maker or other appliances in the kitchenette area of room, but did have a mini fridge and prep sink. Somewhat confusing at check-in to be advised of a $100 deposit to be applied to my credit card in addition to room fee which they said would be refunded later. At checkout just the room fee appeared on the receipt. Understandable to use a held form of payment to apply possible damages, but advance deposit in this way was a first for me as an IHG member.

    The stay was okay for one night. The room was not cool even though the air was on 65 and the fan was on high. I got really hot in middle of the night. The location of f the property was kind of concerning and I can tell it used to be a different hotel before it became a Hilton. I may stay at another spark but probably not that location also the front desk person was otp when I was trying to check in and never said I’ll be with u in a moment or anything I waited a good 20 minutes or so before another employee noticed me while walking thru whom checked me in. Front desk training would be helpful in this case and I thought it was super rude to have me waiting to check in and no one else was waiting just me.

    Overall the pricing and stay was pleasant! The only downside is that the walls were really thin. We definitely could hear the people talking next door and we could also hear people down the hall. The room was quite spacious and we would come back.

    Overall, the stay was fine. The property was clean and the room was sufficient. However, we had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member named Phil, we believe (he would not actually give us his name, we had to ask another staff member). My colleague and I were staying the night in advance of a work event the following day. Everything was proceeding fine until our smoke detector started beeping at 5:30am and giving us a "low battery" message. We called the front desk and were told that someone would come up in 20 minutes. 20 minutes passed and no one arrived. We called again at about 6am and someone (Phil) finally came up. He walked into our room, flipped the massive overhead light on, did not greet us, did not offer an apology, started tinkering with the detector. He had not even brought extra batteries with him, which seemed like an obvious solution. So he had to leave and come back. He switched out the batteries and immediately went to leave. My colleague asked if he would mind staying to make sure the beeping had actually stopped. He said no. He left. The detector started beeping again. My colleage called him back. He came back in twice to try to fix the issue, cursing under his breath the entire time. He never actually fixed the issue, and did not offer an apology or a solution. My colleague went downstairs at one point and asked if we could at least switch rooms. He said no. She asked for a partial refund. He said no. It was all insanely rude.

    The front desk staff was very friendly, the pool was nice for the kids after being at the beach during the day. Close to wrightsville beach and the restaurants in Wilmington on the boardwalk.

    Staff is amazing and the breakfast is great! My room was very clean at checkin; however, I had to use towels to clean the floors which were kinda dirty. No complimentary coffee in the rooms but plenty in the breakfast room. All n all it was a good 6 days! Thanks Sparks…

    Also in the day and age of everyone offering breakfast, this one was a disappointment. Hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, and apples. No bananas or oranges, hot eggs or breakfast meats, or even regular bread for a piece of toast.

    I have stayed at this hotel often and I can honestly say each time has been wonderful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. They addressed my concerns timely. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!

    The rooms were clean and all of the staff was very friendly. There were people who had dogs but I didn’t hear any noise from them which is always good. I liked that they had a water fountain it was nice to fill up my water bottle instead of buying water bottles. The breakfast was good you have options of yogurt with toppings, instant oatmeal, bagels, muffins, apples or oranges. I will say the orange juice and the apple juice was so watered down but otherwise everything was great.

    I definitely enjoyed staying there. I liked this hotel because they had wonderful staff there. The hotel is clean, and they check up on you through by text if you need anything. I enjoyed my stay. I will definitely be back when I’m in that area again.

    Check in was easy and quick. Room was nice and modern, with hardwood floors, definitely a big improvement over grungy carpet. Bed was very comf, and bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast was good, nothing special but definitely substantial enough to start off your day. All around good experience, would definitely stay again when in the area.

    Overall my stay was nice but a coffee maker in the room and clean floors in the room would've been better. My feet were filthy after walking around the room so I had to throw on socks so I wasn't getting into bed with dirty feet. Also, the rooms facing the parking lot need better black out curtains because there was too much light in the room all night.

    Rotten staff. The cleaners took my towels without replacing them multiple times, never changed the bedding and never took the trash. One girl, Thioro, at the front desk texted about my stay, I told her about the issues and all she texted back was sorry. Another guy, Morgan, was more engaged with his group phone call he had on speaker when I went to the front desk for the second set of replacement towels. Absolutely ruined his night by asking him do his job. He was incredibly dismissive and just couldn’t wait to get back to the group chat.

    The elevator was broken. Had to take stairs from 4th floor for 2 days. Keurig coffee machine broken in room and they couldn’t replace it so they wanted us to change rooms for a working keurig. The room was not cleaned on second day. House keeping was absent. Front desk was not occupied. Horrible hotel and stay. Do not recommend.

    Our stay at the Spark was nice. Reasonable distance to downtown. Only problem was that the pool was completely empty. Probably would have chosen a different hotel had we been aware that the pool was not going to be accessible.

    My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay! The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and the location was ideal. Only about 15-20 minutes from the downtown area and Wrightsville Beach. The staff was helpful, and our check-in and checkout process was smooth. Ashley was at the front desk when we arrived, and she offered a warm welcome. Ashley was also attentive and checked up on us to ensure we had a great time. Only thing missing was the pool, as it was closed during our stay. Nonetheless, would definitely visit in again. :)

    The staff were very friendly, and they recommended some great places to eat, but I was very disappointed that the rooms didn't have microwaves, but they had sinks and refrigerators, that truly didn't make any sense. We did enjoy the breakfast (Yogurt especially). But I will say Hilton the rooms need microwave, after a long ride or day of site seeing we want to relax, reheat our food without going in the lobby (comfortable).

    Our first impression of the room was very nice and neat clean, modern not bad smell. Second night we have a knock on our door at 11:30 PM. Apparently, the front desk dark skin guy with glasses said that our tv was too loud.We didn't realize it, but we turn it down.No problem. What we didn't like was his rude attitude. He need to work on his customers service attitude. The rest of the the employees who were friendly. I know they're not the swimming pool was empty.They have a very tiny gym. We did not have any breakfast.But the breakfast area looks neat and clean and modern. It's a whole tail is eleven minutes from the downtown which makes the location perfect. Overall, our experience was good minor the incident that night.

    The room had not been vacuumed or mopped. I saw sparkly things all over the floor, so I bent down to see what it was and unfortunately saw bundles of hair and dust on the floor as well. Between the bed and nightstand there were drops of liquid on the floor that had not been cleaned up. It was late, so I just made sure to keep my socks on until I left.

    Clean rating was based on cleaning services everyday. I’d do see on the door it’s every other day trash and towels but I do feel hotels should make bed, lightly clean, trash, and new towels and toilet paper everyday. Otherwise, great stay!

    This hotel was under renovation. There was old furniture outside the hotel and when we pulled up we wondered if it was even open. The lobby was filled with boxes the hallways were filled with building materials. Our room had been renovated and was nice but the tv didn’t work. We were also woken up to them working early Saturday morning. The hotel should have been closed while these renovations are being done or at least warn the customer.

    I would definitely stay here again. Our room was very comfortable. There were 2 queen size beds and a sofa-bed which was able to accommodate 5 of us. Both the bedroom and bathroom were clean and the bed was really comfortable which was great after a long day of driving. The hotel itself was nice and had plenty of space in the lobby and dining area and the staff were all very pleasant. My only complaint was the hours for the breakfast. They only have it open from 6am to 9am everyday. On the weekends especially they should extend the hours until at least 10am. Otherwise, my stay here was great and I would recommend it.

    The hotel staff was AWESOME!! We were in town for a baseball tournament that got rained out early the first day. We got to the hotel before checkin, in hopes of checking in very early, the lady at the front desk was amazing and transparent that the hotel was about to be under renovation so the room might not be great. We stayed the weekend and the only complaint was there was no protein at breakfast which we chalked up to the renovation, other than that it was great.

    When we first checked in to our room it was kind of weird because the layout was not normal. It was spacious and clean. As I lay in bed thinking about how weird it was I realized it was an ADA room. The shower allowed water to run into the middle of the bathroom floor and down a drain so the floor was wet and the sink was not in the bathroom it was out in the carpeted area and very low as if you needed to be in a chair. Perfect for someone handicapped in a wheelchair. I really have nothing to complain about I just hope that no one in a wheelchair needed that room cause I would have preferred to be in a normal room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when I needed anything and the breakfast was a cold breakfast but just fine. The parking was not over full I had plenty of places to park. Just a quick walk to the 7-Eleven and two fried chicken restaurants. Spanish moss Drake every tree and Bush and it's beautiful. The air conditioner was very cold just like I like it. We left a food box beside the bed after eating in bed and woke up to hundreds of fire ants all over everything so don't do that. We reported it so they could spray before the next person got there. It was also very reasonably priced.

    One of the most disgusting places I’ve ever stayed! We stayed here just passing through. I booked the room for one night. I picked the room because we are a family of 5 and the room had 2 beds and a pull out. I would have slept on the floor before sleeping on the pull out or allowing one of my children too! so we all crammed into the two beds! The couch was covered in dirt stains and questionable stains of possible body fluids! The entire hotel smelled like trash and dirt

    The convenience of the hotel was the best part. However, we booked this hotel because of the pool and price. We booked same day and when I checked in I was told the people working at the pool weren’t working on the pool and that it was still opened. Once I left my wife there and took the kids on an outing she called to tell me that the pool was closed due to them laying wet cement. I called the front desk and the lady at the front told me there was nothing she could do. If we had known when checking in, we would not have checked in. We could’ve paid half the price for a hotel that didn’t have a pool.

    We did not like anything about this hotel. It's run down, needs a lot of maintenance, it's not clean, the area feels pretty sketchy, and the worst part was the carpets are saturated with dirt, which sticks to your feet. It appears they attempted a partial remodel, upgrading the bathrooms, but they're too small and with a door that's too big and bumps into the undersized toilet. Some of the furniture was also new, but the effort falls short because the beds, mattresses, linens, and carpets all need to be replaced.

    What you see online is not what you get. Rooms are outdated and smell of smoke. There are bugs and rat traps around. I wanted to cry that I had my family sleep here. Dangerous area and staff was horrible to us. Wouldn’t discuss anything and then used profanity multiple times at us. Will never go back again.

    Room was clean. Entrance to hotel needs work badly stained up carpet in the 3rd floor was nasty one spot was so sticky my shoe stuck to it. There was a prostitute staying on that floor near my room and she had a lot of customers in and out most of the night the cops even showed up as a result got up in morning for work and there was a person sleeping on the ground behind my truck

    TERRIBLE. Never going here again. Hotel has a disrespectful GM, nasty attitudes when help is needed. Total opposite of what is advertised online. No pool access until June, half the parking lot is blocked off because of construction with taped up windows (our room included). Rooms are covered in mildew with disgusting wet smell. Beds and carpets are full of nasty red stains. The bathroom doors don’t even shut and lock. My 1 year old was able to push the door wide open. The A/C wasn’t even working. WHAT ELSE COULD GO WRONG?? No discount or refund offered. We almost decided to leave at 6am due to the nasty moldy smell, but with multiple kids wanting a beach experience we stayed through it. Do not recommend.

    I was super excited for my stay, but i was not aware of construction starting to happen during my stay,and when i checked in no one mentioned anything about work being done. I was woken up super early by banging from what i assume was the construction this was not ideal for me trying to relax and get away.. the pool was also out of order and i was not made aware by anyone and i found out by myself going to check. Overall the place was nice but the pillows need an upgrade they are tiny tiny and the beds kind of rock hard and thin. Im assuming they are renovating and upgrading which i hope is the case because its definitely needed in some aspects i enjoyed my stay and made the most of it just was not how i was expecting my stay to go

    The Comfort Inn on Market St. is a great location , only 10 minutes from downtown Wilmington, but at half the price of downtown hotels. You are close to the beaches and if you're heading to Leland the bridge is also 10 minutes away. The staff was polite and were helpful in answering questions of places to go and explore. The hotel is also set back from the main rd. so it's quiet !!

    They had no water in the pool. There was a bad smell that they covered up with air freshener in the lobby and hall. The room smelt terrible. “Kitchen” was a mini fridge and coffee maker. Bathroom door was cut in to be able to close by the toilet. The bed was really hard and gave me a back ache. The pillows are small squares and very thin. Stains all over the floors.

    Some leniency on operability of the facility due to the maintenance that is happening. Besides that, the rooms were not very sanitary. Hair was on the sink and in the shower when I arrived.     Worst part was the breakfast which was the worst offering I’ve experienced in almost 70 years. Coffee was so strong that cream couldn’t lighten it…we actually went to McDonalds down the street for coffee.     My daughter works at the hospital in Wilmington and could not get home after work because the roads were flooded and police would not let anyone pass. I booked her this hotel so she could sleep in a safe place and go to work in the morning. When she arrived, they told her they had a policy that people who lived within 15 miles could not stay there. This policy is posted nowhere. And she lives further than 15 miles away. I called to explain and they said no exceptions. I complained to Comfort Inn corporate and they said there was nothing they could do. Expedia was helpful in reimbursing me. Won’t book rooms at Comfort Inn again.

    The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast area was clean and well kept. Our room was in need of an overhaul. The lamps were all rusty. The carpet was shredded and pulling up near the bathroom. The toilet moves when you sit on it. There was a huge cobweb on the ceiling above the desk and there was mold on the curtains above the air conditioner. You could smell the dampness in the room. Nothing like the pictures.

Check out was at 11am but even with do not disturb sign out, cleaner knocked on the door numerous times and even walked in our room without asking. It was extremely inappropriate.

    It was just terrible. I payed one price then I got there they needed and extra 100 dollars. I request a first floor. But when I got there they gave me a second floor room. And I made it aware that I needed a ground floor due to medical reasons. The rooms was stuffy and not air circulation. I will never stay here again. The only thing my family liked was the pool.     Parking lot was hard to get into and surrounded by construction nets. We didn’t expect luxury for what we paid but overall, they just really some updates in the place. Rooms were clean as they could be for the age…but the bathrooms are waterlogged, rusty and old. Carpets are yucky, beds are hard. We had tiny pillows on our king size bed that we paid extra for. Hotel smells musty and old. Staff was accommodating but unprofessional (using curse words and casual conversation during our interactions) Wouldn’t recommend or stay again.

    The pool had glass in it and the hotel did not take the right procedures to clean the pool properly. We left our do not disturb sign on the door and the workers proceeded to walk in the room anyways when we told them they weren’t allowed to do that, that we could have been changing they proceeded to yell and make threats even after we tried to be calm and have a civil conversation. They gave us 15 minutes to get out of the hotel and we agreed. As we packed the workers sat outside the door harassing us and being unethical. I overall do not recommend this hotel there are better hotels in the area with respect and kindness you should try instead.

    The elevator waa not working for our entire stay of 3 nights. If we had only been here 1 night, it wouldn't have been so bad. We were on the 2nd floor; I'm glad we weren't on the 3rd floor. The pool was nice but could use a better cleaning of debris. We got to the hotel about 9 pm to check-in but had to wait for the desk clerk to even realize we were at the desk. She was too busy watching a movie, video or something in the other room. It was so loud i felt like i was watching it too. The price was good for the stay but i doubt we would stay again.

    I would give this hotel a 3-star rating in general. Because the beds were clean the room was clean I stay there for sleeping and a shower not really spending much time in the room doing much other things. There can be some upgrades to make it more I appealing but for the money I think it's a nice clean room we stayed in a king room with a parking lot view, really don't care about that either. But would recommend it if you're looking for a one night or or two nighter and have things to do outside of the hotel. The pillows could be longer LOL they felt like Chiclets but they were comfortable

    Continental breakfast was a joke. Had to deal with employees coming in to eat so seating was very limited. Coffee pots broke so down to one pot. Bread for toast was stale.
