    I was in town for a long weekend - a local high school graduation. I was in and out between events and beach. Great place to stay. I really didn't need too much. Close to a lot of restaurants. Very convenient. Staff was very nice.

    Location ok There was a leak in 142 in the bathroom from the vent. One hanging bath towel was soaked and stained. The tub drain was slow to drain. The front desk person was new and took a long time to check in. She needed help. Overall stay was acceptable. Needs some TLC and attention

    Awful hotel I will never recommend it nor would I ever stay here again. They had roaches and the pool wasn't working and never mentioned to tell us that until after we got there and said that it was due to a failed inspection.

    The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The bed is a little hard for me but comfortable. The room was amazingly clean, the sheets were stained but cleaned. The bathroom was very clean. The neighbors were very loud . All in all it was a good stay for the money.

    The staff is AMAZINGLY kind and welcoming. However, there is no breakfast so don't be fooled with Expedia portraying it as a hotel with breakfast. The do have coffee and juice around the clock. Lots in the area near by to walk to. Other guest was more of my issue than anything within the control of hotel. Fighting at 3AM was obnoxious.

    Nothing Toilet seat was loose, so I tightened it up and while doing so I found hair and dust on the side. Shower curtain needs to be replaced. Curtains need to be aligned. No coffee maker.

    first of all there was a separated sink and mirror and a walkin ahower that was a minor issue for double leg amputees like me but it was still the best my wife and I have stayed in in a very long time, friendly and helpful staff . We didn't try out the pool not enough time but from what I could see it looked like a handicapped lift into the pool, and on top of that We never ran short of hot showers. more storage space for longer stays, I told the Young Lady at the front desk, that a shower hose would be very helpful to those of us with issues. She informed me that she had something about it in a staff meeting and it was planned upgrades that seem to be finishing up great place .

    They would not let me check in because they think I live in wilmington and I could prove too them I do not! I live in Jacksonville but they would not rent too me anyway. Wasn't clean, walls are pape thin, and for some reason I had a group of younger thugs staying in the unit right beside mine even though the business wasn't at 30% capicty.The43 was no attempt at corraling the group or any notice placed upon them even with them yelling at full bore at 4 am.Disrespectful group the kind that makes the establishment apply a policy if not renting to locals.

    If you want to be bother in your vacation, please book in this hotel. The front desk called us several times while we are ordering dinner for our anniversary at a restaurant. Accusing us that we left a faucet open and is causing a leak downstairs i. Which we did not( had video proof when staff came to check the room). We are forced to the away our dinner before we even ate because they are relentlessly calling us.

    The location. That's it. It was underwhelming in every other way. There were three cockroaches on the floor of the room when we got in, and a strong smell of detergent or insecticide. There were then dead baby cockroaches IN BETWEEN THE BED SHEETS! The bathroom was not clean, the bathroom fan was broken, and the complimentary shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. The staff didn't care about our concerns and ignored our request to change rooms. This place is a glorified dive of a motel, and for the same price you could probably get a better location, an actually clean room, and staff that cares.

    She gave me 10 minutes to leave the property. It was raining. She threatened to call the police. She said I was “a local” because I live in Southport. Southport is 50 miles away. I did not break the lock. The night staff saw it was a maintenance problem and put me in a different rooms albeit the room change downgraded me from the room I was in. The morning manager refused to let me talk to or listen to my explanation. I was kicked out in the rain over their broken lock after staying two nights with no problems

The sink was broken and the drain didn't work. No tv channels maybe like 5. Over all was not a pleasant stay and i checked out after the first night and went somewhere else. Would not bring kids near this place!

    People that actually care about people is hard to find!!! , and EVERYONE here genuinely cared for us. Havent felt this much hospitality in ages. Gave us all toothbrushes because we forgot ours. Helped us get into our car when we lost the keys , let us enjoy the pool after check-out while we still didn't have our keys. Answered front desk phone promptly and kindly every time day and night. Just so nice and helpful....What an incredible group of people! Thank you guys again!

    Absolutely nothing. There was cocaine on the couch, the linens were damp, mold was everywhere, there were obvious drug attics just standing outside watching which room I walked into and the deadbolt didn’t even lock! Oh and bugs dead and alive everywhere.

    It has a okay pool There is mold in the bathroom ceiling, fuzzy mold all in the shower grout and the ceiling in the room is bright white in spots where they half repaired the ceiling, first night I seen roaches on the stairs way and then inside the room I seen 2. When you see pictures it looks nothing alike in a way, the shower had a old seamstream shower head that barely has pressure and takes 20 mins for the water to get hot in the sink and shower

    We had decided to make a day trip to the beach it was a four hour drive so when we booked a hotel room last minute we found this motel and read the reviews of it being clean, that’s being said once we opened the door we got hit with a very gross mold smell that made me sick to my stomach it was clean for being a motel but there was a dead bug on the floor and we were at least able to take a rinse off from the sand and just decided to drive the four hours back home and when I went to check out there was a nice man working there that had asked how long ago we checked in and as I was about to answer another worker said we had being here a long time which was only an hour along with paying a 50 dollar deposit after paying and booking online with that snap of passive aggressive of an hour being a long time I decided I was too exhausted from arguing or asking for a refund, I would recommend finding another hotel if your gonna pay 150 for one night anyways at a way better hotel that’s clean and doesn’t stink especially with us have two little toddlers it wasn’t safe for them to play around.

    Female Manager was Rude, Love to try and shut down any complaint with loudly lobbing False accusations against the Guests, Over talks thrm and doesn't Listen. The Owner was Polite. He was onsirw daily until he wasn't, thats when I Met The Manager. There was Mold in the Upper part of the shower, there was Filth , like grease smeared on upper shower wall, Toilet was not attached to the ground ceramic sink corner was cracked and broken and Finally, The Lamp shade had Brown Grime All over. I have Pictures of everything I've mentioned. We checked out 2 days early and went to a different hotel.

    Check in was great and friendly staff, the room was clean in the bathroom and the bed comfortable . The drapes in the room were great to take out any traffic or light. I did put in ear buds to not hear traffic. I spilled water on the floor and had to wipe it up and black came on the wash cloth. The shower had great pressure. In the future I could come back because I heard they have a 15 charge a stay.

    Staff was friendly but I was sad the pool was not operational and there were reports of negative things I rather not mention. If I knew when booking I was going to be cancelled I would have had a backup plan. The ice machine was in repair and no ice was available.

    I first asked about the location of the ice machine and was told that it had gone down a week or so back and they were waiting on a part. I walked by the machine and it had spider webs all over the opening for ice. I arrived at 2:10-2:15 and was charged an extra $20 to "check in early", but why? "Check In" is at 3, sure, but 2-2:15? Seriously? The setting is VERY loud also. TV is not easy to figure out and my TV remote had dead batteries and was held together with tape, so I had to make the walk to the office after checking in, just to have a remote that works, but I was charged an extra $20 to check in early. Red Roof can kiss me where the sun don't shine, if they don't make this right with me.

    I bought the rooms sight unseen and immediately regretted it driving up. I’d not stayed at a red roof inn before so I probably should have known better. The first thing I noticed was the smell of urine outside my door and it being in a neighborhood on a busy highway with shady characters roaming the streets. I just didn’t feel comfortable traveling alone as a woman and left. I booked a best western down the road which even though was in an urban area was a bit more off the busy highway and less stranglers nearby.

The only bad thing was I requested cleaning service every other day I however did not get any I needed towels which I did get that night when I went to the front desk to complain about not getting any service the staff was very nice and got them for me right away, the floors were in need of cleaning to the point my feet and socks were black. Other than that the hotel was great!! I would have loved it better if the pool was open too, but it was down for maintenance unfortunately, but my daughters complex had a pool so no worries there. I will book with this hotel again, it was great experience

    It is mildew in room 158. So my family and I moved into another room. The sink did not work properly but I rather have dealt with that instead of a mildewy room. The pool was greenish looking but they covered it up. If we were not tired after a long drive and ride I would have suggested looking for somewhere else to stay. I would suggest renovating the property.

    I thought the front desk staff is the only reason I stayed. She was lovely. The place advertised a pool and breakfast. The pool was a murky mess of almost green. The bathroom shower bar was held together with duct tape. And the sinks were clogged. The room smelled of broken dreams and despair. The lady at the desk was kind and very attentive. The need for bleach throughout this room is overwhelming. I should be given a credit just for the lack of advertised amenities. The room smell and duct tape is the entire reason I should be given a complete refund.

    I loved the location and that there was plenty to do and eat in the neighborhood of the hotel. Close enough that you could park and walk. There were plenty of cameras on the property but unsure how far security went. I would stay here again. Very nice and helpful staff.

    Great spot! Walking distance to Target, Waffle House, Dunkin Donuts, Hooters, and an incredibly fantastic seafood restaurant called Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar. Lots of things to do in the area. And the staff was amazing. However, the pool was cloudy and hot and my room wasnt very clean.

The pool was very very cloudy. I had never had any issues with red roof inn before. Not in the state of nc, but my daughter made it very clear we will not be staying at this hotel again.

We were too tired to realize until we woke up that previously the house keeping didn't wash bedding, there was 3 left over marijuana cigarette butts on floor to match the burn holes in bedding. Sandy in footing so kept socks on and a.c. Filter dirty so let that just sit out

    The staff was very friendly and helpful, however, our room was dirty with hairs on the toilet seat, mold in the bottom side of the mattress that stunk up the entire room, and workers that were staying here on business (while we respect traveling for work, have some respect for those that aren’t). These guys were hanging out in the parking lot drinking beer, yelling, and working on their cars right outside our door. The stay was fine for one night, but wouldn’t return.
