Hilton Garden Inn Wilmington Mayfaire Town Center

This weekend I reserved a room went to check in and they tell me they are filled to capacity and I’m like how is that possible when I have a reservation number for a room so I was left high and dry in a city I’m not familiar with having to settle with whatever I could find …totally unexceptable and unprofessional the attendant had the nerve to say they tried contacting me which was a straight out lie I received no such email very disappointing

Rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. Maybe update the furniture.

The staff was amazing and very welcoming. But the room was in need of some renovations, the tile in our room was severely broken up and in need of replacement. And the sofa in the living area was VERY worn and in need of replacement!

I woke up to a huge roach in my bathroom at 3a and left the property. I was not reimbursed for that night but received full refund for the following day.

Perfect location for getting to the beach without being on the beach and easy access to shopping and other areas of Wilmington.

Staff was very nice. Bfast was good but I don’t understand why I had to pay since I’m a Diamond Member. Also I don’t understand why I was charged $50 extra for incidentals but didn’t get it back (unused) when I checked out.

Room was clean but bed was like sleeping on a brick with uncomfortable pillows. Night manager my first night cared not about my inquiry of a missing inner shower curtain and was quite short on the phone.

This is my only complaint about my overnight stay. In the search engines I used, and I looked at more than one, ALL of them listed breakfast as free. Then, when I attempted to enjoy my free breakfast the following morning, I was informed that the breakfast WAS NOT included and instead would cost $14.00. Also when I checked in the previous day, the front desk receptionist said breakfast would be served until 11:00am which was incorrect. In fact when I arrived for breakfast at about 9:25, I was informed that orders would stop at precisely 9:30. Then, when I went over to get some coffee, the regular coffee pot was completely empty!

Thank you for making the evening as special for them as they made our event!

I have stayed at several Hilton Garden Inns', and this is the worst one. The room smelled like a damp smelly locker room. I think it was the carpet. The bed had a noisy metal box spring. Our room had a view of the emergency generator that ran for an hour during the afternoon. The staff was fine.

It was extremely loud dogs were barking all night and Morning. You could hear people walking around on top of your head. I stay here often, and this was the first time that I had this bad experience but the young lady at the front desk was very nice and polite.

The room had an overpowering musty moldy smell and an undeniable level of moisture which made all our clothes and papers damp. I paid for two rooms for myself and another for my son. His room was exactly the same. It was awful to breathe. Rooms 105 and 109. I am so mad I paid full price. I fell I should be reimbursed!!

Clean room, clean lobby, friendly staff. The only downside to this stay is the "full service breakfast at a cost". Where others offer a free breakfast (albeit, not the most luxurious), it is a cost I'd rather not incur if I had a choice. Since I did have a choice, I went to HT instead for a banana and coffee.

The room was old. Bathroom vent didnt work and the room itself has not been well kept. The bed slept horrible and the sheets was just thrown on the bed like she was in a rush to makr the bed. Our room was not cleaned after the second night even though we called down and asked for it to be. The room needs a serious upgrade. I will not stay here again!

My stay was not comfortable at all. The guests in the room above me made noise all night and during the early morning hours. It sounded like someone was wrestling or moving furniture above us. We reported it to the front desk, but it continued, so we didn't sleep well at all.

The property has a great location. Nearby the main roads and lots of places to eat. This is definitely an older property. Lots of things probably need to be updated.. was able to hear the person in the room above.

The junior suites were not the best setup with air conditioning throughout the room and the air duck vent was facing the living room and not the bedroom. I also noticed that room service was only scheduled to clean your room or empty the trash cans and to drop off fresh towels every other day or asked for and when we did ask they were never brought and we had to got to the front desk and ask for them in person.

Jennifer at the front desk was fantastic! Helpful, friendly, and all around made it a very pleasant experience!!

Front desk was exceptionable. We requested an early check in and the wonderful front desk manager was gracious in accommodating our request. We did not arrive as early as planned but certainly appreciated the ability to do so.

Our toilet was clogged in the morning and they didn't fix it after I told them about it 2-3 times. We had to use the toilet in the lobby which was very inconvenient.

The microwave didn't work in the room and it was not a nice enough hotel to pay for breakfast but good for the staff to make money.

The mattress in the sofa bed needs cleaning. There was no tissue in the bathroom. I had to go ask for tissue, wash clothes, bath towels, and pillow cases. And for the price, I thought breakfast was included for my family, but I was told it wasn't. My 5 year old grandson has autism and I asked the desk clerk to try to put us around other children so there wouldn't be a problem with him crying or being up late but we were told by the night clerk that he was bothering the guest next to us.

This was my birthday/anniversary get away. My husband and I truly enjoyed everything.

I am highly disappointed and annoyed and am upset that I wasn’t offered a discount or anything for my troubles. Save yourself the time and money and stay somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

What I didn't like is the gym, i like to work out And none of the equipment worked. I wasn't told.i dod have the option to go to another Hilton to goto that gym. But i didn't. So i went to Planet Fitness.

The place was run down and dirty. The heater was on heat yet it ran cold air. The tiles were cracked. The mattress was hard as a rock and the towels were worn out. It is a shame because the property use to be nice. I will not return.

The facility and room were nice but there was no remote to the TV. I asked 2 separate times for a remote and none was provided during my stay. Some surfaces in the room were also not properly cleaned or looked as if they were in need of a wipe-down.

Loved the stay! The walls and ceilings were thin so we could hear a lot from other rooms. Loved the lobby and bar! Our room was very nice and in a nice area.

Am thinking that it was an oversight since the remainder of the room was spotless.

I was not able to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn as booked. I got a last-minute call indicating that the hotel had been overbooked and that I was being rebooked to a different hotel. Gladly the rebooking worked out, but it was VERY unpleasant and stressful to feel "robbed" from your reservation over a holiday weekend.

Quick night in town for a milestone Birthday. This Hilton had everything I needed, was very comfortable, and clean! I’d stay there again.

The clerks were very friendly and helpful, especially considering I had 3 border collies with me. There’s a big yard for pets, the pool was perfect with music playing. Comfortable bed affordable and 3 miles from the beach. Definitely would come back.

First time to Wilmington & location was great. Easy drive to both downtown & Wrightsville beach. Lots of stores around hotel, should you need to grab some groceries or a last minute swimsuit. Quiet area, ample free parking, nice employees. Definitely would stay here if in the area again.

Toilets should be upgraded. Dining room staff and food was excellent. It looked like there had been a was minor leak in lobby from the ceiling . Other those things, the overall stay was excellent.

young man that worked behind the desk seemed nice but could clearly see that he was stressed when I asked for a plunger and towels the next day because the toilet over flowed and had use my towels to clean the water up. When I asked for maintenance to come check out the faulty toilet they left soaking towels in my bathtub and then my hairbrush went missing - I checked everywhere and could not find it All in all it was great to be with family and we had somewhere to sleep so I was however I am not sure if I would stay here again and if I did it would only be because of the sweet girl that so very kind and breakfast was very good !

Made an error in booking and instead of Wilmington, Delaware booked NC. Called minutes later to cancel since we couldn’t online. It was late at night trying to book a room during trip north to Massachusetts. We never stayed there and will not refund our room we had to prepay for. We got charged.

Overall, we had a good stay here. The hotel is clean but will need some updates of the old paint and cracked tiles soon. The vent in our bathroom didn‘t work, and housekeeping did not come by during the four nights we stayed. It was no problem getting fresh towels and leaving trash outside the room though. The first night, we had a very loud neighbor but the other nights were quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The only complaint we have is the young man at the front desk who was clearly bothered by us checking in and out. He probably didn‘t speak more than ten words with us. He mostly stayed somewhere in the lobby with his airbuds in and on his phone. Not the customer service we would expect from a Hilton. No hello or goodbye during his shift, which did not make us feel very welcome here.
