    Location is great if you want to go bar-hopping. Lots of restaurants/bars close by to walk to. Riverfront was close. Had to pay too much for valet parking. The other option was a parking garage across the street. Breakfast was adequate. Staff were very nice and helpful. Bed was a little too soft for me.

    At check in the front desk personnel was very kind and professional, once we got to our room the floor wasn't vacuumed well, later that evening I noticed little rolls of toilet paper on the back of the toilet seat, there were strands of hair in the shower. I would give cleanliness of the room a 1, Breakfast was good, I would rate this stay a 3 because of the room, otherwise I would have given it a 5.

    The staff in the hotel were very attentive and helpful! They woman that prepared the breakfast were so nice my wife enjoyed there wa temperament! The room was nice although the Central A/C system was extremely noisy! Also my vieiw was of the wall of the adjacent building which wasnt very flattering! Overall I would stay again!

    Carpet in our room looked worn and dirty. Our room had same stale odor, especially the bathroom. Lampshade was missing from the floor lamp. Window shade did not go up and down properly. Bed made creaking sound when you moved while on the bed. The breakfast was terrible. Omelettes and sausages were overcooked and lukewarm. Grits were watery and tasteless. Both lemon and plain waffle batter was watered down and made terrible waffles.

    Overall a good stay. Some repairs need to be made(wallpaper peeling off, drain didn't drain well, and the sliding door of the bathroom needed some attention). Honestly though the staff was great! The woman who ran the breakfast area was so nice and friendly. The other staff was good too.

    I booked 2 wheelchair accessible rooms and only got 1. Had to change to a different room. Third floor has a smoke detector beeping that you can hear through the whole floor. The only washer in the laundry room did not work. Valet, breakfast, and staff were great!

    The location was perfect!!! You could walk to all the restaurants and stores. The room was very spacious and the staff was very friendly. We had items in our car that we had to leave in there for the weekend and the car was safe at all times with the parking attendants. Whenever we wanted our car we just sent a text and it was there when we came down. The little lounge was very nice in the morning to have a little something and just relax

    Everything! The staff was friendly and very helpful. They very accommodating, anticipated my needs, and made sure that they helped me with everything. Jalisa at the front desk, the head of housekeeping, the valet gentleman, and the young lady at the desk at night were the best. I would definitely stay there again! Breakfast was ok - I would have liked a choice of breakfast meat. Only turkey sausage was available. The grits were not good. But, with the other choices, this was ok.

    The two ladies who checked us in and were there the first two days were absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was fine - but…. Parking minus the garage worked out just fine with the help of the ladies at the desk. Hotel was conveniently located. Seemed safe. The biggest problem- which can also be found in Google reviews - the room 404 was WET. Maybe this is normal for the beach - but not for midtown. We felt as if the air was not clean. The carpets were not clean- which made the whole feeling dirty. Bathtub has mold growing. Breakfast day 1 was fine. However I noticed day 2, that spoons weren’t replenished- and the sugar still had the same deep dip from day 1. Items weren’t refilled and seeming fresh. The oatmeal and grits were good- but my husband expressed disappointment in the eggs, biscuit, and ham. We checked out a day early - the girl who checked us out -didn’t ask why. Or I would have told her. Andi came by while we were eating breakfast and asked about our stay- sorry Andi- but that was not the time to ask. I had too much to say.

    Whoever they have as a housekeeper supervisor, they need to fire them and they need to find the housekeepers that works there because it’s no way that someone left a big old box of pizza up on underneath my table and other tops and stuff like that up underneath the table as well, so yeah, they need to fire them and whoever stole my daughter jacket. I hope they have fun with it.

    I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was very clean,, quiet, and I had no problems at all while staying here. The front clerk, Michaeux, was very welcoming and was very informative. The type of service he gave was something you'd see at a 5 star hotel. The only thing that I didn't like about my stay was that I had to leave so soon.

    It began with a front desk error: I received a call claiming they hadn’t charged the incidental fee, go down, upon checking, I discovered they had actually double-charged the room rate. The staff couldn’t figure out how to fix it and told me to go about my day while they sorted it out. Instead, I was woken up at 10 PM with another call same issue, forcing me to get dressed and go downstairs to resolve it. The next day, our room keys stopped working after just 24 hours. Another trip to the front desk. Then we returned to an unserviced room — no fresh towels, no cleaning — which meant yet another visit to the front desk just to get towels. After a nice night out, we returned to find multiple smears of fecal matter directly in front of our door — three large ones and several smaller ones. The stench was overwhelming and absolutely revolting. We asked to be moved to a new room. Despite multiple booking sites showing availability, the front desk insisted there were no rooms available. Corporate was no help either, telling us to contact Hotels.com. Hotels.com is still working on the issue, but we couldn’t wait to leave. The cleaning crew spent an hour outside our room with industrial vacuums and solvents. By morning, the major stains were gone, but smaller ones down the hall remained visible. Failure on every level, customer service, cleanliness, professionalism, and basic hospitality. Never again.

After a nice night out, we returned to find multiple smears of fecal matter directly in front of our door — three large ones and several smaller ones. The stench was overwhelming and absolutely revolting. We asked to be moved to a new room. Despite multiple booking sites showing availability, the front desk insisted there were no rooms available. Corporate was no help either, telling us to contact Hotels.com. Hotels.com is still working on the issue, but we couldn’t wait to leave. The cleaning crew spent an hour outside our room with industrial vacuums and solvents. By morning, the major stains were gone, but smaller ones down the hall remained visible. Failure on every level, customer service, cleanliness, professionalism, and basic hospitality. Never again.

    The check-in staff were not friendly or welcoming at all. Our first time in Wilmington and we asked them for a lay of the land and we’re basically were handed a map and pointed in a direction. After the first day our room key didn’t work and we were informed that upon check-in the receptionist only put in one day stay when we clearly stated we were there for 3 nights. Lastly, there was a sign in the room that said our room would be cleaned every other day but after 2 1/2 days our room had not been cleaned and when I asked the front desk they said we needed to tell them if we wanted our room cleaned. All I all the hotel did not make our stay a good experience which is why I will never stay there again and I will think twice about staying at another Hampton Inn.

    The kids had a blast in this place! The indoor pool was warm, which was a plus. My wife and I walked around downtown, which you can easily walk around from the hotel and back. The staff were amazing and very attentive to our needs. Excellent breakfast and service too! The valet parking is a good option if you’re just staying in downtown Wilmington, but if you’re heading to the beach I would try to find street parking.

Our daughter is going to the UNC Wilmington so we will stay here again often. Misty at the front desk was professional and extremely helpful (as was the valet). This hotel is in the historical area within walking distance to so many great places to eat and shop.

    Everything was great except the heat didn't work. When we got there the room was 65 degrees. We decided to turn it up to 70 because we were walking to and from the concert venue and we would be cold when we got back. We came and went multiple times and the temperature in the room never got above 66 degrees. This is not ok. There was a chill in the air the whole night. No I didn't say anything because I wasn't going to switch rooms at 1am.

    This was a wonderful place to stay! The staff was very friendly, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the room was so clean the bathtub and shower actually shined! So close to everything downtown Wilmington! The only downside is that unless you want to do the valet parking, you will park in the deck across the street, which was not a big deal to us. Will definitely be staying here again!

    In general I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was in a good location and the room was clean and staff courteous. However, I'm pretty sure something happened to my trucks passenger side mirror. I've never had an issue with it and after my stay it will no longer rotate.

    Great location and helpful staff. I don’t mind pet friendly but the room had a smell. Maybe some rooms should always be pet free and be an option when making reservations.

    The room was not cleaned up to standard. I found hair in both the sink and bathtub on arrival. The staff was excellent and extremely accommodating.

    Pleasant stay, very nice staff, but not very pro active. A lot of construction on the block, not noisy but not pretty. Not the hotel’s fault.

    Weekend trip to hear some live music. Hotel was easy to get to and within walking distance of music venue. Would stay here again.
