    1-Queen bed made extremely loud annoying noises each time you moved TV in Room 120 has lines on mot of it's Channels No on-site laundry facility to was your items from the beaches. This older Caucasian lady who wore glasses working the front desk (7- 11p) was rude.

    It was ok at first The manager is a racist old white man got off of work was smoking a cigarette next to my truck. He came out screaming and hollering. The next thing I know he was calling the cops to get me kicked off the premise had to find a different hotel in the middle of the night and spend money that I did not have to spend would not recommend this hotel if you’re BLACK.     The hotel needs an update. The carpets are terribly stained but the room was clean. There are no blow dryers in the room so, Ladies keep that in mind. The lady at registration was amazing. We only stayed one night and it was just a place to sleep. Not sure that I would chose here again but I can say that although it looked horrible, it was clean. (As clean as it could be)

    There was a musty smell in the room. There was a big stain on the carpet. The beds were small. The beds made squeaky noises. The hallway in the lower level had an odor. The front desk staff seemed rushed. The tub and toilet were stained.

    This is an old inn and isn't in the best part of town. I gave them high ratings because they were the only hotel I could find in their area that would rent a room for only 1 night. I think that deserves a high ranking. There is a Walmart close by and it's location makes it easy to get in and out of. The carpet could use a good cleaning.

    I have traveled quite a bit. Stayed in local hotels/motels and others across the state. While this particular Coastal Inn & Suites is a renovated older Super 8, the staff make up for any of her "scars." The manager, David, amazing personality and very kind and respectful. The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure cleanliness and comfort. After getting in housekeeping for over 7yrs total, I tend to immediately check things others wouldn't think of. The base boards, ac vents, around outlets and carpet/wall joints. I can't help it, it's just in my blood! Checking for mold behind sinks, under bathtub plugs, shower heads and shower curtains! This establishment was literally A++! Extremely impressed and beyond satisfied. Thank you to all the staff of Coastal Inn and Suites! You guys truly make your customers feel like they matter! Please, never change. Lol 💯

    Room was very clean, parking was easy and ac kept room cold. Just wish they would remove carpets from rooms and install same lvp from hall ways, it would help with slight smell of closed room. Windoes didnt open (my room was on the 1st floor) and that im sure is for safery reasons. Overall very good for the price and I would definitely return.

    The property and motel and staff were great. I highly recommend staying here but don’t book it through Expedia because they charge you more instead of saving money. Book directly with the hotel. We had to stay another night and saved money by booking with the hotel. I thought Expedia was supposed to save you money. I won’t make that mistake again.

    The cleanliness of the rugs was horrible, I'm sure they were vacuum but they were so stained I didn't even want to take my shoes off. Everything else was clean but all the rugs need to be changed in this whole place, nothing but stains everywhere even on the stairs, other than that everything else was pretty clean but it just grossed me out

    I don’t like to stay at motels because they are low quality, smell bad. And I don’t sleep well knowing it’s a motel ( the smell, the dirtiness or the complex, and the paranoia that cleanliness is not taken seriously). If the “hotel” post made it known that it was a former motel 8 I wouldn’t have stayed there. The room smelled bad like cigar even though it was a non smoking room. The carpet was dirty and stained all over including in the hallway. I was honestly grossed out and scared to sleep there but I got in too late to find another reservation. I considered sleeping in my jacket and over the blankets but I got cold.

    The room was a basic older super 8 room, mattresses were ok. Sheets smelled a bit musty. The carpet in the hallways and rooms is truly horrifying, looks like it has never been cleaned. Bathrooms are showing their age. The first room we checked into had a broken ac. Moved us to another room with no trouble. Staff was friendly. Would not walk on carpet in bare feet.

    Yes this hotel does show some signs of its age; but, the rooms were clean and the beds extremely comfortable. With the feeling of being in a safe place and the quietness of the area and hotel we were able to get a good night's rest. There is a small patio out in front of the hotel that has a grill along with several tables and chairs that provided a nice opportunity to be outside after driving for hours and meet other travelers. There are plenty of places within walking distance or a short drive to get a bite to eat as well. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

    The property manager refused to give me back my refund after finding several cockroaches in my bathroom. Property they that I use the shower and the bed was slept in my boy slept in that bed for 20 minutes then we left as soon as I found the cockroaches. And even when I arrived, I did the online check-in supposed to be in room 308 but the girl put somebody in there so I had to move to a different room. I don’t recommend and also there were a bunch of people drunk and smoking in the parking lot not very kid friendly let alone people out of state.

    When I walked up to the front door there was someone smoking weed outside. I’m pregnant so I had to hold my breath as I walked in. The room was clean but the carpet was dirty as all. I felt gross walking on it. The bathtub was dirty, the fixtures around the room were rusted. I can tell the hotel attempted to look nice, but the images don’t capture what the rooms actually look like. I wouldn’t stay here again

    We stayed 2 nights and didn’t have any problems other than really loud guests on our floor. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Everything in the room worked, refrigerator was a good decent size and kept food & drinks cold. Didn’t use the microwave. Tv was a good size and worked. A/C worked great and kept our room cool. Room & bathroom were clean. Lobby is always open as it’s one of the doors to go in and out of. They do have a vending machine with snacks & drinks which is nice. Only things I didn’t like was there are 3 floors and NO elevator. You have to walk up stairs to get to the 2nd & 3rd floors. They have carpet throughout except for the first floor hallway, the carpet is nasty and disgusting looking. The guy at the front desk did mention they are planning to take the carpet up in the future. If they put new floors down throughout the halls and rooms, I would probably stay there again for a night or two. It’s in a good location, close to lots of restaurants and shopping. They do have plenty of parking which is well lit at night. There are train tracks very close and apparently a train comes thru late every night because we heard it both nights around 11pm-12am (it’s pretty loud).

    Did not end up staying, left the keys in the room and drove home same night. I was thankful for the check in process online, it was seamless and easy. They even moved my room down a floor to accommodate my service animal and disability. Staff at front desk was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, room was gross. Walked in and had to kill a roach on the bed. Spotted three more, decided to leave.

    Carpet were horrible and dirty throughout the common walkway and in the room. Too many sounds and can hear talking from neighboring rooms.

    The rooms had carpet in them and they were nasty and bathrooms wasn’t that clean either. I wish I could have seen the room before I paid for it. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

    The people above me where either wrestling or playing bocce ball until 2:30 am. I texted the front deck and they did say they asked them to stop. They started up around 9:00 am again. I couldn't sleep because I thought they were going to fall through the ceiling. Worst night of sleep ever. The bed sheets were torn and pilled. For $125 a night and the reviews that I read, I think I was overcharged quite a bit. I also think that the photos did not represent the rooms. The carpeting on the steps were so dirty.

    This is a older property with worn carpet in the hallways, but the rooms are clean, bed is comfy, air conditioning is cold, and showers are hot. Great deal at half then price of nearby hotels.

    Great place for what it is, the place you sleep and shower. Older property but well kept and clean. Staff was very nice. I had a question during online checkin and received responses to my texts almost immediately and very positive results. We will stay here again.

    Booked same day after seeing good reviews and pictures. Was texted that we would find our keys in a lockbox. No attendant when we arrived at 11pm. We followed instructions and walked into the grossest hallway. Stains everywhere. The pictures show the property in a condition that it is no longer in. The bedding had a significant amount of hair on it, the towels looked dirty, and the carpet filthy. Upon walking in, we texted the contact and received no reply about the unacceptable, falsely advertised condition. Booked another hotel and left. Today, they texted to ask how our stay was. When I asked if they received my previous communication and summarized the issues again, the only response I received said, “yes,”.

    Beds were very clean and actually comfortable. All the doors were secure around the property so you need a keycard to access the building(excluding the lobby door) Only thing is the carpets are dated and can use a steam clean or replacement. And AC could be serviced (not getting as cool as it should). With that being said I have seen far worse than this. :)

    I couldn’t even stay at the hotel. There was an addict outside, the table lamp and alarm clock was on the floor because the bedside table was gone, stained carpet so bad you couldn't tell what color the floor originally was, the room was downstairs the huge window was on the floor level and view was of a gated business, there was pests playing in the tub, and it looked nothing like the pictures, the card scanner to get in the room looked like it could easily be hacked, it felt unsafe, the first time we left there was a guy who looked like he was walking out with a sex worker, and some guy walked in looking higher than a kite with no shoes or a shirt on. The place felt dirty, unsafe, unsanitary, outdated, and the energy was off I didn’t stay there long at all. Upon my arrival I also found out it was in a sketchy area because there’s an opioid addiction clinic next door

    It wasnt that great beds were hard pull out was assembled backwards and the tiim keys kept deactivating everytime we even got it close to our phones or out n our wallet and if you happen to be disabled or handicapped you should definitely look for a different place. On top of that ther is no good beaches close by had to travel half hour one way and was told ther was a public beach 10 min away

    Previous reviews and pictures were extremely misleading. The property is old, dirty, run down. The window in our room was unlocked and open when we arrived. The carpet was disgusting. The room smelled like mildew. Do not believe anything positive. It’s old and dirty. You will be disappointed. If I’d thought I could have gotten a refund and left I would have. Beyond disappointing. I heard the man at the desk say the whole hotel turns over every day. I feel certain it’s because guests try to suffer through the night and then get out of there.

    My wife started complaining of a bad headache because of the mold and allergy smell. I went to the front desk and talked to the man who was there. He said he could move us to a 'better' room (upstairs). We went upstair. The new room had the same mold and drugs small (pot) and the carpets were still filthy. There was no shower curtain and there were multiple hairs in the bed. I immediately went to the front desk and told the manager we weren't staying and we wanted a full refund. The manager said he "understood" and told me they'd be 'booked up soon anyway.' I called Hotels.com at that time and booked another hotel in a nearby town and we left. The manager did fuss at me because the hotel management called him after Hotels.com called to get a refund for the stay. Thankfully we were in this hotel only about 30 minutes or so before we left.

    The room was OK. Some features were dated. The beds were OK. The bathroom was OK. The only problem we had is when my grandchildren came to visit the guy who said he was maintenance came banging on the door saying we had to get out and move to the third floor Because the (regular) customer was complaining he can hear us walking above him. We explained the kids were only there for an hour and we were leaving. It was rude the way he handled it because the way I see it we were all customers regular or not. And some advice if you are complaining about a guest, they need to keep their voices down and not be cursing about the other guest. Our grandkids did not need to hear that.

    I was pleased the room did not have a musty or mildew smell as some places do with the hilumidity. I found a competitive rate midweek and if there were doughnuts or oatmeal or bagels that would be nice. I saw no bugs which is always a fear in the south in summer.
