Coffee maker in breakfast area was broken, so all guests had to take turns with two Keurig machines, which was a bit awkward. Otherwise, an excellent stay.

It was clean, reasonably priced, and the room couldn't have better to accommodate our little doggy! We will be staying there again!

Everyone was so nice. Easy check in. Easy check out. The lady doing the breakfast was an invaluable gem!! As was the person taking care of our room. All personnel were thoughtful, professional and just good people! The beds were very tall for a five foot woman. The kids had no problem getting up there so I faked it til I made it!

This was my first time in Wilmington and at Best Western Plus. I enjoyed myself immensely. I would definitely come back again.

We really liked the the lady who helped in the breakfast area. She was so helpful to me because I couldn’t eat the omelette that was served because it had cheese in it, I can’t eat dairy products, she made another egg for me. She was so sweetek

Our only complaint was that the complimentary breakfast ran out of food well before the availability time was over.

Lovely 1 night stay. Comfortable bed, clean room & public spaces, very extensive free breakfast buffet. Check out was at noon, not 11! Definitely recommend.

The hotel was convenient and provided a good breakfast. We were put into a "pet friendly" room and the only problem that we encountered was that the room had a smell from previous dogs.

The Staff were great and the location. Room 108. The AC would freeze out a penguin. Zero control over the temp. Fing freezing. The toilet had a permanent stain that looks like feces. I’m sure it’s iron but it should be replaced.

The staff was wonderful. The rooms are a little dated, with issues with the air conditioning unit. Made terrible sounds when it went off. The room temperature was never quite right, and the first room I was given had a whirring sound from a vent in the bathroom that could not be turned off. And there was an unpleasant smell that came from that vent. I changed my room and it was better but still there was a sound of a vent that was constant. However, for a budget experience, the breakfast served included in the room rate was very well done, and there is a very good staff there.

Very nice hotel, room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was very good, the two ladies servicing the bar kept everything fresh and well organized.

The breakfast was exceptional The hotel had an odor that I was allergic to. Their entire time I stayed there I had a headache and a sore throat. The hotel also rented rooms to a fraternity two of the three nights that I was there. They had parties until two or three in the morning doors were being slammed. Kids were streaming up down the halls. It was horrible. This was the worst experience I've had in a hotel in my 66 years I did complain to the hotel staff and nothing was done. I would never stay here again.

I can not say enough positive things about our stay here. From the minute you walk in the lobby the staff is friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy. The lobby & breakfast area are updated, comfortable & functional. Breakfast area has a great automatic coffee maker that makes any kind of coffee you can imagine. There is also a custom yogurt station & juice machine, Belgian waffle maker plus nice selection of Chobani yogurt, whole milk & almond milk in fridge. Breakfast staff was the best. Rooms had comfortable beds, nice pillows & they smelled so fresh & clean! Very nice soft towels in bathroom. Room is totally updated & includes a fridge & microwave. Bathroom clean & spacious. Only thing that could use improvement is the toilet was a weak flusher. This is now our go to hotel in Wilmington & we love how close it is to Wrightsville Beach. We will be back soon!!

A nice hotel in a great location. Staff are very courteous, delicious hot breakfast. There were some minor maintenance issues, like the toilet paper holders roller was missing and some stain on bathroom wall. But overall it was a pleasant experience for us family of four with kids at 14 and 11.

Convenient for eastern Wilmington and very close to the fantastic Johnny Luke's Kitchen Bar, this is a great top- end-of-the-budget-range hotel. The beds are simply amazing - my wife and I, both fussy sleepers, have never slept in such great comfort. We have stayed in top end four-star hotels in the UK, US and abroad but these were, as Tina Turner might say, simply the best. Breakfast was a wide range of processed foods and the staff were unfailingly friendly. It's not a downtown hotel, sure, but if you don't want a view of the river or an old building then t's the perfect place to stay

Good value for money, I would book this again. It's a little off the city center but it's still near.

Booking.com gave me the wrong property, so I can’t give a fair review as I did not get to stay there The fact that there was an obvious mistake and no one was able to address the problem

Upon entering room, it was hot. Thermostat on wall didn't work at all. Looked at AC unit and saw where someone had put a temporary thermostat under the cover and temporarily attached with painters tape. Took cover of unit off and had to use that thermostat to get unit to work. All tables and surfaces in room had sticky residue on them. Had to go buy disinfecting wipes to clean. Beds were good and slept good. Bathroom faucet had supply lines hooked up backwards. Hot was cold and cold was hot. Stayed here before and was good. Disappointed this time. Room should not have been rented until items were fixed.

Breakfast was great for a serve yourself self situation. They had quite a few options and even almond milk and GF options. Coffee was lackluster as it’s made from one of those instant machines, but that’s my only complaint. Our room was extremely clean! The entire hotel smelled amazing!

Upon checking in the room I reserved & prepaid was not available. Because of prior guest extending their stay my King room was given away. We got 2 queens.. it may not be a big deal, but when traveling I like the extra room leg room a king room has as well as having a bigger bed. Queen rooms are just too small .. or this location it was. Not sure why telling those who want to stay another night that there’s only queens available opposed to giving away what was pre booked. Lady at the desk passed it off onto company policies. I’ll think twice before staying at another BW. Thankfully it was only 1 night stay. Breakfast was very basic. Not alot of choices.. cornbeef hash, potato’s & Mexican eggs. Cereal & only couple breads.. waffles. Saw fruit after, but it was in a different area. Quite nights sleep even by elevator. Quick chk out. IHOP next door & other food & stores close by. About 10 mins to downtown & river walk area

I loved the updated comfortable rooms, friendly staff, surprisingly excellent breakfast and the good location (convenient to UNCW, Wrightsville beach, downtown and the airport). Nothing. If I had to make a suggestion, maybe add a pillow or two. But this is a great Best Western.

We have stayed in this hotel at least three times during the last year. This hotel is always very clean and very comfortable for guests, and the staff are always gracious, friendly, and helpful. Our stays are always relaxing and pleasureful and the hotel is aways clean and quiet. We will return!

Had to get bath towels and wash cloths every day from staff. Came in one night there was DOG Crap in the lobby floor. Every morning while eating people walking around the eating place with their DOGS. No room house cleaning the four days we were there. Dogs crapping near the front entrance. I have stayed there before, and it was very nice. This place has changed so much, I will never go back. If I could have got a refund for the remaining days I would have left the first night.

We were very comfortable and found the accommodations to fit our needs. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The employees at the dining area were excellent. Checked to see if we needed anything and if they could help in anyway. I picked this hotel because it was convenient to things we had to do in the area. I was very happy that there was no carpet in the rooms.

The hotel was a wonderful home away from home. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The parking was free and seemed well lit and safe. 4 electric vehicle charging stations in the back parking lot. .33 cents per kilowatt hour to charge and you have to scan the QR code to use them. The traffic noise was very loud at night at this location unfortunately. I would have stayed another night if that had not been the case.

The desk person was very willing to cancel our reservation and refund the payment, but she could not do that, because HOTELS.COM / EXPEDIA made it impossible! So you, Hotels.com, took $115 or so from me, for a stay in an uninhabitable hotel, and the hotel itself was not allowed to refund it.

The front desk staff were friendly. That is where it ends. Our room smelled like Grandma’s musty basement. Kids running up and down the halls playing and dogs barking the whole time.

A few negs - couple of towels were dirty, a dog in one of the rooms whining in the morning hours and funny smell like damp cloth in the room, but the windows can be opened and overall all is good.

Pues primero fue mala experiencia por q resulta q la recervacion de la habitación no estaba disponible pero después fue excelente ya q se encargaron de todo y nos acomodaron en otro hotel ahora fueron dos habitaciones y no tuvimos q pagar absolutamente nada y se portaron muy amablemente.

Pues primero fue mala experiencia por q resulta q la recervacion de la habitación no estaba disponible pero después fue excelente ya q se encargaron de todo y nos acomodaron en otro hotel ahora fueron dos habitaciones y no tuvimos q pagar absolutamente nada y se portaron muy amablemente.

Beds were super comfortable. Laminate floor was cracked at edge where meets tile causing tripping hazard. Rooms were nice but could have been somewhat cleaner.

I asked for towels two times on different days and they never brought any. I was given one towel and only wash cloths for 4 people.

Room was clean. Water pressure in shower wasn't my favorite but it served its purpose. Elevator felt like a sauna. Overall not bad. Would stay again.

The lady at the front desk, Tammy, was SO kind to me and my son. She was so accommodating of our dog and she was super sweet to answer all our questions. She made the stay so wonderful.

The air conditioner wasn't working,or the refrigerator. They weren't cold enough for our comfort. But above all it was good stay.

Very clean establishment. Stayed for 3 days, front desk was friendly and helpful! Area is good everything is about a 15-20 minute ride! Would recommend and would stay again!

Hotel needs renovation

The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom looked to be remodeled. Only complaint is that the pool was dirty. We decided not to get in the water.

They definitely should redecorate the rooms and make the bathrooms look more presentable out tube had black stuff at the bottom and the vent had some fuzzy stuff coming out of it.

The only problem was the elevators and hallways were always HOT, walking in through the lobby was fine then into the elevator you go. Sweating up to floor 4 the hallways didn’t bring any relief, we kept our room super cold to bring us to a comfortable temperature.

Our room door didn’t latch completely, no AC in the hallways, room service didn’t make beds or vacuum. Food was ok. Wouldn’t stay again

Would love a dog walk area

Room headquarters with dirt and old m&M's and them .The AC was extremely loud and would not cool down. The staff was very friendly and attentive we reported that the pool was super cloudy at one point and the maintenance man was able to get right on it we did have an issue at night the blanket was itchy it we asked for another and the night time staff members stated they didn't provide other blankets so needless to say it was an uncomfortable say and very tight room

The kids and I enjoyed. Quiet and comfortable beds, everyone was nice. Hotel was in a perfect location. We will be back in a few weeks.

We were happy with this hotel. It has been extremely hot in the area lately, and our first room was not cooling properly. The staff was very helpful and moved us to a new room. We slept well. Thanks!

First off, we had a room to accommodate our pet. With that being said, we were on the first floor, right off of the lobby area. That’s typical I guess when you have a pet. Overall, the place was nice. The room was definitely a pet used room. Cleanliness wasn’t perfect but satisfactory. Some wear and age on paint, floors, etc. This may be due to being a pet room as well. The bathroom was very small and not well designed. I would stay here again just wanted to allow others to know what to expect.

I went to one other hotel on Market St. I was really tight on money so I chose the cheapest option and I was appalled by everything. This hotel was above and beyond and for a great price. Definitely going to come back.

We had a great stay. The room was very clean. The hotel was well-kept and the staff was friendly.

The staff was amazing from checking in to check out. Everyone was friendly, and professional. The property was very clean and the breakfast was good. If there’s anything negative to say, I would say the pool kind of being a little cleaner, but that was not the fault of the staff. It was a great day and I would definitely come back.

Definitely one of the better hotels I have stayed at especially the bed I wanted to bring it home with me best beds I have ever slept on in a hotel! The breakfast was better than most hotels as well if I go back definitely would book this hotel again!

This place was very clean, the beds were comfy and the staff were friendly and respectful. The included breakfast was limited but enough to get the day started. Would definitely return. The reason for my 4 stars was the elevator was hot and a little older and the dryers were not working to dry the beach towels.

Moved to 2 different rooms due to things not working correctly in room.

The staff worked well as a team with friendliness and courtesy. The food was OK. Fruit was on one table - difficult accessibility. No water in the breakfast area. Updated facilities and decor. Comfortable stay.

Driving up to the hotel, I was worried we made the wrong choice and that it was going to be a sketchy place. However, inside it was newly renovated so it was much better. I had a good experience and the staff was kind and helpful. Rooms have been redone so the inside and outside feel like two different hotels.

It is quite well. Dog friendly and very clean. The staff is really helpful and sweet. Only one suggestion. Add a bench and couple of yoga mats.

My husband got eaten up by bed bugs while we stayed there, but the hotel claims they don't gave bed bugs and won't do anything about it. We even had an inspector come to our house to make sure none came home with us. Stay at your own risk.

We really enjoyed how convenient the location was. We were close to downtown Wilmington and also Wrightsville beach. The room was updated, no carpet was a plus and the bed was the most comfortable we have had at a hotel. This is our third time staying here and never disappointed. Staff was very friendly as well!

Like the staff and location. Property was going through major repairs. Bathroom had some strange smells due to the damage from whatever happened prior to stay. Staff was friendly and location was close to everything, but you need a car to get to beaches. Overall took great care of us.

The a/c worked well. The tub was very slow to drain. When I got done with my standard length of time shower, there was over two inches that had accumulated because of the slow drain.

the a/c was very good & adjustable, once we got the room cooled off. tv was large. they only have 1 chair in their rooms; no rooms w 2 chairs! if you arrive early, there's a $30 charge to check in early. we had difficulty getting a room close to the elevator; i have trouble walking. beds are waaaaay too high. good breakfast granola bars. not sure that we'll stay there again; we've stayed there 3-4 times w/o any problems. having only 1 chair is definitely an issue.
