I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The room was dirty and not properly maintained. The breakfast was poor, with very limited options and low-quality food. The staff were unhelpful and provided bad customer service throughout my stay. Overall, the hotel did not meet basic standards of cleanliness or hospitality, and I would not recommend it.

The property was very clean and neat. I loved everything about it. The easy access to the washer and dryer, how clean outside and inside, the smell clean of the hotel and the outdoor swimming pool is really cool. I’m from Alaska and all hotel here is indoor, so it really is nice to sit outside the pool and get some tan from the sun even at night it’s nice to just sit outside the pool and watch the sky. The room was really clean, neat and smell really nice. The staff were really nice, kind and very helpful. The breakfast was really delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and if I am planning to visit again I will reserve this hotel again. Nothing.

Nice. The only catch is you have to drive around for food, but DoorDash will deliver to your room! The breakfast was great, eggs sausage, cereal and more! Only one issue is the road noise can be loud as it’s right near the freeway but it’s only 1 exit from the port! We stayed a night before our royal cruise, and highly recommend.

Picture when booking did not match what The description was. I ended up having to up grade for to a suite with more space. This cost me extra money. All because Image was wrong.

After a stressful drive via several highways loaded with traffic, we were greeted enthusiastically by the night shift lobby staff. The smiling clerk provided a quick and easy check-in, and the parking instructions were very helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and again the staff were friendly and attentive.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, and breakfast is added bonus. We parked our car for the duration of our cruise after our overnight stay at the hotel and took Uber to drop us off at the cruise ship. So convenient!

Great stay overall. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was super convenient for the Port of Los Angeles. Parking was easy, check in was smooth, and the hotel was quiet at night which made it easy to relax before travel. Solid breakfast options in the morning as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel and location for the affordable price. Room has everything you need. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast a big bonus. Perfect place for a night or two prior to a cruise or local travel.

Good breakfast, clean facilities and really nice staff. The walls are paper thin, however and you can hear full conversations from the people next to you and clearly hear people talking outside (exactly what they are saying, despite being on the fourth floor).

We stayed in room 211 which was Supposed to be a wheelchair accessible room. You could not get a small manual wheelchair in the bathroom it's too tight, no chance if you had a bigger electric wheelchair. Not enough room to even turn around to even attempt to get into the shower.

We had a late checkin and communicating with the staff was simple, easy and, they were very responsive. The room was fine, a solid 3. We were there for one night and the room served its purpose comfortably.

We stayed here for a night before our cruise, the terminal was a 15-20 min drive from our hotel. The staff was super helpful, one of us forgot a tooth brush and the staff provided a new one! The hotel was clean and had a microwave. The breakfast buffet had all your usual things. The only negative I would say was the noise, our room was right next to the highway and there was traffic noise overnight. We did not mind this but it might be a concern for sensitive sleepers. I would book this hotel again!

The rooms were very clean and tou could smell the bleach as soon as you got on the hall. Was quiet besides the street traffic and the occasional engine revs by men. Love the breakfast hours so you don't feel rushed and the selection was well rounded. Convenient parking with 24hr surveillance. We'll worth the stay!

We tend to stay here on our way in the night before we do our cruises. It’s relatively close to the port and an easy quick. Stay with a Denny’s restaurant right next-door. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Lobby does not look clean, furniture needs to be replaced. Sink in rooms are outside of the washroom. If you are sharing room with other people, why would you want them seeing you brush your teeth, washing your face or personal grooming? I will never stay or recommend this place.

Our room had a broken closet door to the point it would not even open a little, the bathroom door was also broken and would jam closed to the point we had to push our whole body against it to get out of the bathroom. The hotub was stained and is need of a paint job desperately. Also the shower head was falling off the wall and had no water pressure.

Staff care is excellent, rooms are clean and comfortable, it is plenty of parking spaces.

The staff are amazing at this property. Our room was really clean, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. There was adequate parking, and it was next to a Denny's. We got a discount at Denny's since we were staying next door. We will definitely stay here again when we cruise out of San Pedro.

Our room was very clean and comfortable with newer furnishings. The location to the cruise port is very convenient. Very disappointed that the pool was so dirty which prevented us from enjoying it. The included breakfast was good and despite the business was kept replenished and clean. Friendly and helpful front desk and housekeeping staff.

The hotel itself is a bit tired but our room was clean. Denny's next door is the only option for a walkable lunch or dinner. It was fine for 1 night and convenient to the port.

The hotel was quiet, clean, and safe. The staff was friendly, although I was a little put off by them wearing masks, but to each his own I guess. My only complaint is that it is very difficult to get in and out of the property because of where it is located and because the alternative gated entrance/exit to the property remained locked the entire time.

This hotel was booked for one night prior to a cruise. The basic amenities were decent and the breakfast was a nice benefit. The hotel was overall clean. The reason why I put that this was an average stay is because overall the hotel was a bit dated (older carpet, wallpaper, etc) and the room we had was facing a busy street and freeway, which was very noisy.

I have a major complaint we had to get up at 5am and our neighbor next room kept us up with their arguing from 10 30pm till 4 30 am i called the front desk to handle the matter and filed a complaint expecting it to be resolved checked out at 6am and they told me to let you know about the incident for a refund i never had an issue but this was a bad experience thank please call meat your best convenience thank you

Nice hotel. Was perfect for our one night stay before a cruise from the Port of Long Beach. They even let us leave our car there for week for $80. Worked out perfect for us. With limited cruise parking at the port this was a lot less stress just to take an Uber from the hotel.

Booked hotel because it got good reviews and we needed somewhere close before we boarded a cruise. Check in staff were not the friendliest, coiffed sink in the room, room key never worked unless we went to the front desk to have them reactivate it (we were really careful after the first time to make sure it was not exposed to anything that would deactivate it- happened 4 times. Breakfast was mediocre. Okay place to stay if passing through but we will not be returning.

The location is not very convenient for shopping, either to take rde or the delivery option for food/drink. During my checkout, I noticed a few individuals in the breakfast area who did not appear to be hotel guests. Their appearance and behavior were concerning, and it made the environment feel less comfortable. I also observed food being carried unusually through the hotel corridors. I reported this to the receptionist at the time, and I appreciated their attention to the concern. I wanted to share this feedback as well, as maintaining secure access to guest areas and dining spaces is important for safety, comfort, and overall guest experience.

I have stayed here three times and keep forgetting why I shouldn’t. The beds are beyond awful. I was in room 326 this time and the bed springs made a crunchy sound every move you made. Slept very little. The noise from the hallway is very loud in the room. The breakfast area is too small for the size of the hotel and one elevator. Can’t do it ever again, will pay more just to sleep.

Everything is great except the shower is not very good.

We had two different rooms. Both horrible. Bed was completely broken. Loud road noise, ac/heat units make horrific noises. You can see the carpet cuts and replaced and was gross. Will never recommend this location to anyone. Staff was nice.

Hotel was very noisy screaming kid in the room next to us. Cops in the hall at 3 am talking so loud you could hear the whole conversation. Asked the front desk when checking out what the heck was going on at 3 am they acted like they didn't care and laughed they thought it was funny no apology or nothing. Nude couples beating each other into the public hallways. Vagrants begging for cash, prostitutes soliciting you. Constant high speed freeway noise, no room sound deadening, constant sex noises through paper thin walls. You can hear every step above and below, and every single toilet has a loose pipe that rattles on flush and has so much turbulence that when you run the bathtub you can hear the plumbing from the elevator 200ft away from the room. Blood stains on the sheets, used rubbers in the bathroom, black mold under the drain stopper.

My only complaint would be that the water coming out of the bath seemed a little murky which sucked because I was at a festival for the weekend and was looking forward to relaxing after. But other than that, the service was great and the staff were polite:)

The place looks good, but their room carpets needs some serious deep cleaning. My kids and I walked around the room barefoot and we couldn't believe how dirty our feet were.

Room was super clean. Checking in checking out was fast and seamless. The only issue we experience was our room key was finicky, but they were able to correct it within five minutes.

Nothing else to note since the area is not great, with lots of noise throughout the night and being right by a freeway bridge means it’s also not super safe. The hotel itself is old and everything was outdated, including the rooms. Super worn in and cracks everywhere, stale smell throughout. The noise level is ridiculous- you can hear other guests showering above or next to you and any movement anyone makes in another room is very loud. Walls are paper thin and the curtains don’t even close all the way so you can’t get a full darkened room if you need that. You get what you pay for here.

We had some problems at this hotel spoke to them at the front desk they advised me to email to get a credit applied to our 2 rooms at least a 10% credit was advised by the hotel we could get for the room s but because I booked through your app they would not credit they said hotels.com needed to do it. The hot tub was so gross so dirty and chipped out did not look safe to go in at all. A big reason we booked this hotel was for the pool and hot tub was not able to go in either. Very disappointed. The rooms smelt like mold the shower curtains need to be changed. They stink. There was also a saw Blade found above my bathroom door very unsafe what is up with that. The inconveniences we had was that someone opened our room door and wasn’t able to go in because the latch didn’t allow them to. We did notify the front desk. They only had everything bagels when I went down to grab breakfast. This was at about 8 am. They were out of the others already. Overall it all seem to be good.

We stayed one night to meet our cruise and this is a perfect hotel. It is 30 min for LAX, 10 min from the pier, and in a okay area during the day. There is a Denny’s next door with a WONDERFUL staff!!! The room was very clean and the staff as very friendly, welcoming, and informative. Great place for a nights stay!

Staff wanted an extra $20 to check in at noon or one o’clock. Con job. This is a very old run down hotel in an area that has absolutely nothing. The property does not look like the picture and the area properties have bars on their windows. If that is the World Cruise Port hotel then a porta potty is the Taj Mahal.

Most everything else about the hotel was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The pool needed some care not very well kept. There was not that many places to eat in the area Denny’s, next-door that’s about it.

Breakfast same each day. The shampoo/conditioner/ body wash smells bad and looks old. Did give any soapy to wash hands. Carpet smells and filty.

The check in was very easy and the receptionist was great with customer service.

After staying at a different hotel the night before, I was excited to arrive at this one and at first sight, it seemed to be much nicer than the last. Parking was decent, although the entrance into the hotel off the main road was a little awkward, especially when exiting off the freeway and needing to turn left into the hotel. We only stayed here one night to be close to the port for our cruise the next day. Great proximity to the cruise port and arrived in under 10 minutes. The disappointment came from our hotel room, we got two rooms and one seemed nice enough, no odd odors and a newer a/c unit. Then we went into the second room which honestly smelt like stale smoke or some funky odor. The a/c fan in this room also squeaked badly and the mattress on one of the beds seemed collapsed in the middle, so I always felt like I was at an angle or getting pulled to the middle. Lastly, the rooms were not insulated very well from the outside road traffic. I think a piece of paper would've provided more insulation from the traffic than whatever they had going on. The hotel is located right on the Pacific Coast Highway and had constant road noise all night long. If I were to stay there again, I'd ask for a room away from the main road. Breakfast was nothing special either. Very basic with not alot of options. Other hotels have much better breakfasts. I certainly would not stay here more than one night.

The staff was very nice. The only issue my wife and I had the king bed didn’t seem like the mattress has been changed since day one big slopes in the mattress very uncomfortable to sleep at night.

the room is clean and spacious. Breakfast is average, but is adequate for a quick bite. The room rate is very reasonable so I don't expect a very lavish hot breakfast. I only stay for one night, it met my needs.

Elevator was out of service for a whole day. Water in the shower and sink would loose pressure- was in the shower and the water all of a sudden went out gradually, same when washing hands.

We needed an overnight place while waiting for a morning event in the area. Check in was smooth and easy. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Everything smells so clean and fresh! The building might be a little run down, but does the job perfectly! It may not be the perfect location for ambiance, but for convenience it is excellent. Also, a bit noisy since it is off the highway, but the convenience to our event was worth it.

There was a strong musty smell. The air conditioner was loud every time it turns on. I woke up throughout the night because of the loud air conditioner. Breakfast was decent. I was hoping for pancakes but that was not an option.

The room itself was clean, our toilet seems to flush extremely slow to the point I thought it was going to back up. The parking area isn’t the greatest. Very right parking spots especially if driving a bigger vehicle and seems very small amounts of space for guest.

Great property. Personally the customer service was very friendly and understanding. They helped with couple of requests I made. If you are in LA to tour Hollywood / Universal studios and have a car, look no further. This hotel is at a decent drivable distance from Universal City and is lovely!

This Best Western is very clean and accommodating. The staff is great and welcoming. The property is very well kept. Our room was always clean. The pool was a nice, little oasis. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I would recommend.

Convenient and comfortable

I liked the convenient place near to the highway and to the port. The food for breakfast was good, the personal at the front desk was so nice, sweet, helpful and kind. The carpet at the halls need change soon and needs restore the facility to be more lightful and modern. I love that they have washer machine and dryer. They have nice parking also! Next to the hotel they have Denny's...but they recommend one place near about Mexican restaurant that we doesn't like it. Over all was good and clean room.

Got double charged, never had the deposit refunded even though there was nothing wrong with the room.

I enjoyed how clean and nice the hotel was, I unfortunately didn't like the one way in and out of the hotel parking lot and the area wasn't the most inviting. Which I was very surprised seeing that there was a golf course located behind the hotel. I would stay again because of the cleanliness but I will be sure to tour in a different area that I feel safer in. I also wasn't happy with how dirty the Jacuzzi was, I was looking forward to using it but it was rusty, green and not inviting.

Good size rooms with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and room clean. Hotel staff were very friendly and having breakfast each morning was helpful for us. There is ample parking at no extra cost. All in all, a great location and hotel for long beach.

We chose hotel location to be close to the port for a cruise. The staff were friendly and there was a pool onsite. Check in was easy and the room was as expected upon arrival. However, the night was rough as the noise from the street was horrendous. We and our young children heard every single stereo, honking horn, and loud exhaust. The pillows on the bed are an odd square shape, old, and full of lumps. I strongly suggest investing in new pillows and sound proof windows. Thank you.

Hotel is clean & staff are great.

This place was better than expected. Its low star rating seemed off. It was clean, friendly staff, spacious. The only part that frustrated me was the second day there, we had taken the do not disturb sign off door, placed dirty towels on floor near dear for fresh towels. We came back to a new do not disturb sign on our door, no new towels, no one had entered our room because our single do not disturb sign was still inside of the door. The staff had placed new do not disturb signs on all the doors on our floor (top floor). We then had to go downstairs and get new towels from the front desk. Inconvenient and frustrating, but we were at least able to get clean, new towels ourselves.

Downtown Long Beach is not far. Great stay away from downtown LA. With traffic about an hour away from DT LA. I would definitely stay here again.

It was not in a great area, there were a lot of people doing inappropriate stuff outside. My bed was very squeaky, and it just was not clean. I ended up checking out three days early.

We stayed one night for a cruise the next day. It’s a great spot for a one night, but I couldn’t imagine staying more than one. The beds are really soft and the location is noisy. Expected since it’s on a main road and next to the freeway. Parking is a little tight and it’s a little difficult turning into the property because of traffic. The included breakfast was nice, but a little on the basic side. The breakfast area is very small.

Room 425 had a view of the July 4th Fireworks.
