The room was clean and comfortable. The outside not so clean but does have good customer service.

Not in the nicest part of town but considering the room was very clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. Would recommend it you are looking for a affordable place and are willing to look past the cover. Pool was also decent, nice to have after the hot day. Air conditioner worked great and shower had good water pressure.

Staff on duty had an attitude with me when I asked for more than 1 key. I reserved 2 rooms for 3 days 2 nights for 3 people in each room and he would only give me 1 key. I gave up then when I got the room, they both smelled like bug spray poison. Went down and told them and they told me it’s not and ignored me afterwards. Called Expedia and they couldn’t help me either. I would like my money back as I didn’t even stay there after that. Hopefully Expedia refunds it

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the restroom exhaust fan was very loud but did not exhaust any steam out when I put a piece of paper there the paper did not really stay on the exhaust fan so tells me it wasn't really working that well and above the restroom door trim was dust that need to be clean.

This picture is very deceiving. We were there for a one night due to a wedding attended 2.3 miles away. Wasn't expected to be so old outside and homeless people near by. but was so temporary but check reviews definitely very old, dated building.

The room is clean and spacious for a family of four with two queen beds. 24 hours front desk services made us feel safe. Parking’s space is spacious and well lit including complimentary coffee and tea. We have to pay $150.00 deposit when checking in but it is returned to us full with no questions ask when we check out. The TV cable has a lot of channels to watch. The front desk staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Thank you very much for having a great hotel at a reasonable price.

I didn’t even get that far. The front desk demands a deposit of $150., At time of reservation, nothing was specified on their site. Booking was less than 2 hours prior to arrival and was denied a refund. A refund for service/product room rental not received nor utilized.

Carpet was not in the best shape overall but room was clean, bathroom was clean shower head was very short not great for anyone tall. Ac was great. Had vending machines on property and an Ice machine. Overall nice small hotel in good location close to lots of shops and quick freeway access.

We were unable to stay at this hotel mostly due to the lack of adequate parking. The property only accommodates compact cars, and we were traveling with an SUV and small trailer. In addition, the surrounding area felt unsafe — there were numerous young men loitering near the hotel, which made us very uncomfortable. When we contacted the front desk to express our concerns, the staff member we spoke with was dismissive and rude. It’s surprising that this property has a rating above 6 on Expedia. I strongly recommend spending a bit more for a safer, more accommodating hotel with reasonable parking.

The power went out from 11 pm until 9:15 am. It was a planned outage that we weren't told about at check in. Over 10 hours with no lights, a/c etc. And no offer of compensation from the management. Unacceptable.

The gentleman checking us in was extremely rude to the point where we canceled our booking. My girlfriend and I visited Huntington for our 3 year anniversary, being dropped off by my family who came in two help us check in, he accused us of bringing more than two people into our one bed room, after explaining to him our situation he continued with the accusations and ended up threatening to call police. Property around and inside was decent but this gentleman was extremely rude with his accusations, rude tone, and yelling.

Hotel 39 was surprisingly good to stay at the room was clean and the noise level was very minimum. did not see any suspicious persons hanging around and there was always a clerk on site, the room that I stayed at was small, but it had everything we needed like fridge and microwave. I have stayed at other small hotels like this one and was very disappointed but if I had to stay in this city again, I will be going back to hotel 39

I enjoyed the location of the property as it boarders on a residential neighborhood, so there was limited noise and fugitive light at night. The lot could get packed in the evenings, though hotel staff do their best to keep the lot open for hotel guests. Found it a bit unsettling that the hotel staff needed to physically unlock the lobby door each time a guest entered or exited the lobby at all hours, both day and nite. Despite this, and observing the usual "creatures of the night" in the area during the late nite hours (10pm to 6am), didn't feel completely safe, yet not unsafe enough to stay someplace else. Check out went well, and I was on my way. Checked in with the same front desk staff on the 2nd stay after my cruise. Again, front desk staff was very accommodating and got me checked in efficiently and was able to provide me with a 1st floor room (at my request). A minor issue arose due to a miscommunication between hotel staff. Senior management promptly resolved the issue and the rest of my stay went well. Will definitely consider future stays at the property.

I rented a room on the second floor, and the tenants directly above me play loud music, joke around, and run around from 10 p.m. until around 2 or 3 a.m., but the hotel manager has taken no action to address it.

I would say my stay here was good overall. All things considered, the room was decent and comfortable. The night I stayed there it was quiet. There is a smoking section if you need that but they insist no smoking in the room. I would stay here again. You may want to consider that you'll need money for the deposit here. $$$.$$ they give it back of course.

As a solo female traveler, I did not like the area of the motel. There is a liquor store & bar next door. I came in at night time & felt a bit wary. However, it was actually pretty quiet despite being near the freeway & the other guests were also quiet. The rooms are clean and okay, the pictures make it look better than perhaps they are. The staff was friendly. All and all, it seemed fine for passing through.

There’s no place to eat for a mile. next-door is a topless bar and a tattoo shop and a liquor store all of which are open very late. That is what you’ll hear at night and the traffic. the carpet in the bedroom in the room so dirty my feet were black after walking around barefoot for an hour. I have not received my two deposits back yet. The bottom of the curtains were so filthy. The noise from the outside is crazy. It just wasn’t a good experience. the toilets don’t flush properly . outside my door the wood post holding up the roof is riddled with termites eating through that wood. there’s a reason why the photograph of the hotel was taken at night. I saw so many guests checking in and just staring at the building likely noticing that it certainly looked nothing like the photos online. Just Wait until their feet turn black from the filthy carpet. In Franchised hotels the owners just don’t seam to care and if no one checking in on these independent hotels to be sure that the building is safe and clean then they’ll squeeze by with the minimum of what it should be in comfort dnd cleanliness.

The $72 rate, inclusive of taxes, prompted us to book a room. The accommodations were notably clean, with a fresh ambiance; the bathroom, linens, and overall environment were well-maintained. The television offered a sufficient selection of channels, and the room was equipped with both a microwave and refrigerator. We requested a late check-out at 12:00 PM instead of the standard 11:00 AM, which the attendant readily accommodated, acknowledging our late arrival. We highly recommend this establishment for its value, convenient location near excellent Vietnamese cuisine, and proximity to the beach on Beach Boulevard. We anticipate returning in the future. The vending machine didn’t work. Wanted to get water and after putting money in no water came out. The night attendant said “ see the manager in the morning”. He didn’t even try to check the machine or offer a bottle of water.

Stayed 2 nights on a stop thru the area for vacation. First room we were given wasn't exactly what it looked like on the Expedia website but the front desk staff was awesome and took care of us and got us moved to a bigger room no charge. It was super clean and comfortable and the AC was cold. Exactly what we needed for the 2 days we were there (we were on the move alot and just needed a nice place to sleep each night). Pool was small but nice. Area was busy (we had the side of the hotel facing the busy street), but felt safe and we had no issues. Given the affordability of the place, would stay again with no issues!

The hotel is located next door to a bar and you don’t feel safe leaving your car outside in the small parking lot. The beds having hard mattresses and it’s hard to sleep at night you could also hear the cars driving by at night. Swimming is extremely small and water is cold.

This facility has had a great location and friendly staff. They are nice and helpful! The location is excellent and convenient and best of all, nearby the Asian communities. However, the building and rooms are small and out of date! I can only consider this place as a Motel level, not as the “Hotel”. I should recommend the facility to be upgraded! But thank so much for the opportunity to stay here.

When you pull up to the window to check in and the sign says “be back in 10 minutes” you immediately know you’re in trouble.

The hotel was probably converted from a motel. The walkway shows its age. Our room looked very clean but my wife noticed dirt marks on her feet while walkig around our room. Our bed was nice but the air conditioner was noisy and kept blowing cool air to our bed. We coud not change the direction of the air flow. We noticed that the soap in the bathroom and the shampoo/conditioner combo were practically the same.

We travel a lot. This was okay. Pictures doesn’t look like what you expected. Parking and location is okay. Not what you expected to be. We have stayed in the worst place (meaning where truck drivers stay and door is peaking through and can hear everyone pulling in the parking lot). This hotel isn’t a hotel it’s a motel. Needs update, walls need to be repaint. You can hear traffic noise and cars passing by. 3 stars for no smell of smoke, or mold smell in side the room, and of course cameras everywhere and elevator. Did not hear next door or upstairs neighbors. Just traffic and cars since it’s a busy road. It’s decent for old establishment. Room was big and roomy. You can park front, side and a couple in the back (has shade). We came home after 10pm both nights and front and side is already full. There was a couple open parking in the back. Not enough parking spaces.

My stay was terrible, there was bugs in the bed and in the bathroom. I was not informed of a deposit until check in. Terrible internet couldn’t even connect my PS5 which would’ve made it a bit more enjoyable. Just offering me coffee in the lobby isn’t enough.

You get what you paid for. Tiny pool, 8 people max, no access to the pool after 8pm. Only coffee is available in the morning. Our room had a dirty freezer. The bathroom light does not turn off so it stayed on all night with the vent. I requested extra towels but they do not like providing extra.

The manager made up excuses as soon as he saw my service dog. After I told him that he couldn’t deny a service animal he made me sign a document, so we used that against me when we were checking out. He supposed to a picture of the bed sheet and he said he found a brown spot and he said that it was poop from my dog. My dog didnt even sleep on the bed. Plus, all the sheets were dirty since we got there and we asked for more but they told us that they didn’t have more. Lastly, when I asked for my deposit back the manager said that their sheets are “special and expensive” and they would cost more than $300 for replace, but they were some cheap ones and hey never gave me my deposit back.
