It was a nice comfortable room. Within walking in distance of fast food places. And not too extremely far from the downtown Sacramento area. And the rates were better then I expected. I hope to visit again soon

No place to get coffee. Remote control of tv only worked sporadically.

Quiet and inexpensive

This is a no frills motel. It was clean and conveniently located near where i needed to be. Tnere are no extras. There was a mini fridge and a microwave but no coffee maker. I saw one employee. She checked us in and out, cleaned the rooms and pulled the weeds.

They had a microwave which other hotels who are much more expensive do not.

The room was hot and had a unpleasant smell.

It is an older building, but that gives it a certain charm. We were impressed at how clean it was. The staff was fantastic. They were pleasant to work with and made the process quick and easy. The location is perfect for visiting downtown. It had easy freeway access, yet not overburdened with traffic. We had everything we needed.

The water from the faucet has a mildly taste. It's cheap for the price, but don't rinse your mouth out with the water.

Quick overnight stay in Sacramento with us getting 2 rooms Manager accommodated an early checkin for me. Hotel is nice clean but dated but good for our purposes and more importantly, very economically priced.

Adequate, basic, good price.

Just the basics. Needed a good bed to sleep in, and this hotel delivered. I made a mistake in booking a cheaper smoking room, and the hotel employee was extremely kind and switched it to a non-smoking room. Convenient location and a good option if you are just passing through and need a place to sleep.

Needed a place to stay while attending a concert in town. It was fine for this purpose. Room and bathroom were clean, everything was working fine, and the lady at the front desk was polite. You may hear some noise from the outside or doors banging as the rooms are literally next to each other but it was nothing excessive.

Unreasonable and kind of condescending to me.

The shower water pressure and heat level were perfect. The value was good. There was a oven in the room , but it had no gas. The bathroom door opens into one of the beds. The TV is old and blurry. The continental breakfast coffee was brewed by someone who doesn't drink coffee. Weak like tea. There weren't any fitted sheets on my bed.

Old building but room locks new. Some room upgrades. Has all the extras. Laundry close by provides wash & dry & fold service. Plastic tub upgrade should have been converted to a shower.

The room was small, but adequate for my needs. No continental breakfast. Close to major highways and local businesses.

The pictures do not match the rooms in reality.

The staff were friendly and the air conditioner worked extremely well. I was freezing in my room compared to the very hot temperatures outside. It was nice and clean. I will be staying there again.

It was dirty and filled with cockroaches i cant believe i was charged i could only stay long enough to get a shower

Dislikes: The window blinds were put on the wrong way, 1 was off and I had to climb on a chair to close them. Was supposed to have continental breakfast but all they had were Danish and coffee (never got Danish and got coffee once!) It's been a while since I stayed there so I don't remember much else.

Older property but ok for short stay

Refused any card I had. Which I had stay 3 weeks ago for 3 nights and accepted my card for deposit. I had no where else to go was left to stay in my car.

Just in town for a few hours layover and needed a place to stay it was clean, quiet, and the A/c worked well nice folks too

The main issue I had was the WIFI. It’s incredibly slow and often makes you log on several times within an hour.

For the price, which was one of the cheapest, it was much better than other similar priced motels/hotels. Deposit is $50. Not listed on here and it's annoying when it doesn't tell you (it applies to all hotels/motels, so not just this one). The great thing is that it was release back to my bank in 1 day. Ive had my funds released back in less than a day consistently at some hotels (Hilton in Folsom) and yet takes days at others (Hyatt rabcho). I honestly don't believe that it's up to the bank for when your funds get credit back then it's all on the hotel. Luckily this place returns your money pretty fast. Overall I felt safe-ish, plenty of parking. Great value for the cash.

My husband and I like Sunset Inn and Suites because it is a good old fashioned motel. not a lot of bells and whistle. Just a great place to lay your head and rest. Nice and quiet. Feels safe. The owners are friendly and keep good care of the place.

The guy at the front desk was friendly and very helpful but the room unfortunately wasn't what i was expecting. The front door has no peep hole for one and the tv looks like it was made in the 1900s i mean come on its 2021 at least get a tv with hdmi built into it jeez

The room is small but comfortable. The shower water is very hot and powerful, very comfortable. The facilities in the house are slightly outdated. The service attitude of the front desk staff is very friendly and enthusiastic. Choosing to stay here should be a good choice.

Office staff was great....first room was not cleaned so I was immediately upgraded to a larger, newly updated room. It was lovely. Bed was comfy, parking is easy, delightful place.

The hotel never recoeved my reservation thserefore i was not able to check in so i was charged for nothing i was unfairly taken not only did i pay for a room i never stayed in but i was treated rudely and was refused a roo.m at the retail rate at the same hotel i was supposed to have a reservation at because i only had a debit. Card i was discrimnated against because i didnt have a credit card its a scam dont ever use expedia they are out to rip people off i was assured i would receive a refund and insteD the room was charged to my debit card

Upon checkout they’ll switch it up and say you can get it back cause you didn’t clean the room for them( left a tip) ..... pretty sure that’s what maids are for but what do I know .

Security - non-working security camera did nothing to provide evidence of the SUV whose window was smashed out during the night and all contents stolen. Also, found drug paraphernalia in the parking lot the second morning. Sketchy area, be vigilant!

cheap...and the desk lady was nice

I didn't like how small the soap bars were and how the shampoo was like a ketchup packet. Also the TV was outdated but had good channels.

Shady looking motel and unfriendly staff who charge more than specified on the phone. Star rating when I booked a month and a half ago was 2 stars, at check-in, had dropped to 1 star.
