Motel 6 West Sacramento, CA

Staff is great! Air conditioning, Fridge and tv are new. EV charging on site. No hwy noise. Starbucks and restaurants near by. Pool under construction.

The property is located right off the freeway for easy access. It's your basic motel 6, not a lot of thrills but a good night sleep.

Cheap and close to my event. I booked a non smoking room, but the stink of smoke was in bedroom & bathroom. The pool is filled with water and dirt which gives it a very dodgy look. There is a motion sensor very close to the room on the property next door which is triggered by guests & cars frequently, it has a voice response about trespassing which gets really annoying specially if your hear that several times per hour, specially at night.

I like staying at this location cause it's usually clean and quiet. The staff is always friendly. The pool is not working because it has dirt in it and I don't think there are any plans on making it functional for the guest to use.

If you are looking for a cheap bed for the night this place is okay. It seemed a little sketchy due to the people that were hanging around outside the property and the burned down hotel next door. The room had crumbs and dirt in the corners and walls, and the A/C unit had a lot of leaves and dirt inside the vents. The pool us under construction and not useable. The best part about the room was how hot the water was in the shower.

The place is clean and everything works, we only stayed the night and it was good for that . The rate was good. We stayed here as the New York Yankees were in town to play the Sacramento Athletics and it worked fine .

This property is located in a very, VERY undesirable location. We definitely questioned our safety. After noticing that our rooms had no deadbolt, we decided to leave. They used too many chemicals during the cleaning process, like they were crime scene cleaners. Perhaps the smell was what attracted all of the flies. The staff never asked why we were leaving and didn't offer any compensation or refund. This experience has really left me with doubts about Motel 6. We may never stay in another one. I highly recommend you find another place to stay. It's not worth it.

Room was clean and nicely furnished/ remodeled to look modern. There was a smart TV as the hotel has the same layout as most renovated motel 6’s in the general area. The property is still being renovated so the pool is not finished as well as the parking lot could use some love. There is an abandoned hotel next door that would help the area feel more alive it hadn’t The room was cleaned by housekeeping daily but they do a quick clean and empty the trash cans rather then actually mopping and sweeping the floors. There was a singular roach found in the room that was alive, i trapped him and the housekeeping didn’t remove him until after our stay was over! Overall it’s a stay for the price and it’s a good located right next to the shops at riverpoint drive! I would definitely stay again

While I can understand the challenges an owner-operator might face in finding an employee for the night shift, replacing that job with someone speaking to me from a tablet halfway across the globe was a mistake. At least allow customers to attempt to check in with an unmanned tablet first and then escalate if there are issues. Even though the hotel already had all of my registration information from the reservation, I was required to walk through scanning my identification and inputting my credit card with this very slow worker. This really made for a terrible experience. Exterior of hotel is rather shabby. Parking was difficult to secure, as all spaces were occupied by customers or big piles of rubble. Pool is covered in rubble and tarp. Highway noise is very present.

Risked it because the reviews were good. I would never stay here again. Staff was nice and accomedating. However, the walls are so thin. You will hear every word, cough, cry, etc... Limited parking and people out all night talking near windows and leaning on our vehicle.

Room was clean and in very good shape. The staff was friendly and polite. Pictures of facility are misleading, such as no vending machines and the swimming pool being non usable eyesore. The price reflects the fact that its a Project Roomkey motel and a little sketchy. Although none of the welfare tenants caused any issues. Weighing the pros and cons, it's going to be hard to find anything better for the price.

The staff was friendly. They are 4 ⭐️ on their own. Nut the property was just not it. It seemed like it was almost neglected in some areas. And next to an abandoned building. There seems to be "gang" related activity around this motel. The complaints come from that and other very obnoxious guests who have no consideration for guests around them. Overall, was just here for one night but not coming back here at all. I personally didn't feel safe.

For the price, ease of reservation and security deposit made it worth while and the most affordable option. Ended up coming back the next night just to have the stillness in this chaotic world.

The staff here is great! Friendly, and helpful during my trip. only issue I had while staying there was the TV wasn't working right, but they were on top of it for me and fixed it for me. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Would recommend to anyone coming to Sacramento.

You could fly an airplane underneath the gap below the room door. The swimming pool was full of garbage and mud. And the listed price per night was $499 with an absolute joke.

Air conditioning was fantasic but not any shopping or amenities near by, have to use an Uber to get anywhere to shop. But overall a terrific experience here.

Room smelled like cigarettes, we asked to be moved but the staff said it wasn’t possible because the reservation was done through Expedia. Scheduled for two nights but only stayed one. I suffer from allergies and the room was bad enough to give me a headache and nasal congestion. Checked out early and went to a friends place instead.

This property was nice but seems to be going down hill. There is heavy construction going on around the property. They drained the once nice pool and now appear to be filling it with dirt and construction debris. The parking is not great due to the construction.

The pool was very dirty and someone had clothes drying on the pool fence brought the property way dwn and so much clutter and construction, i stayed at same locationa year ago and it was same issues the previous year as well but the pool was habitable

The room was filthy, pulled back the sheet cause I do this at every motel I stay at at the bed had soooo many pee stains on this it was nasty. The area felt unsafe, like a drug area, would not recommend this hotel.

This property was average for a motel, nothing special, but not a bad place. There was construction going on in the property parking lot AND also on the property RIGHT next door. A whole section of parking was totally blocked off by a chainlink fence. Lots of extra vehicles of construction workers and some large pieces of construction equipment all cramming into such a limited area. And, waking up to their backup alarms at the crack of dawn (6:35am!) wasn't great. Otherwise, it is near plenty of places to eat and gas stations. We ate at an Indian place that was tasty, like a homemade Buffett, only five minutes away.

More local people stay here than out-of-town visitors, noise from outside all through the night. NO ELEVATOR!! I complained about the A/C barely blowing a slight breeze, and I was told, "It works fine, that's how it's supposed to work" as if I've never stayed at another Hotel/Motel EVER!! Save yourself the grief, frustration, money, and time, and book elsewhere.

This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed at . The pictures and advertised amenities are false. I booked a room from july 30th to August 4th for a girls trip to Sacramento from Washington state with the understanding my daughter could swim everyday we were there well upon arriving the pool was disgusting with dirt , green algae abd garbage floating in it and obviously hasn't been cleaned all year . The office or website didn't have anything posted the pool wasn't open if that wasn't enough the door wasn't sealed an the way so it had a crack at all time when closed so we heard every sound from outside and we had spiders in our bed , the floors have cracks , the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed while showering ( with kids in the room ) , the view was a run down building ( maybe old hotel ) with mattresses scattered outside . I asked for a refund the next morning because we got there at 1am ( got zero sleep due to noise ) hotels.com wouldn't refund and called motel 6 and they refused to refund so we could go to a functional hotel with a clean pool even after pleading my case and seeing the pictures I took and sent to hotels.com . The only thing dinner was a 50 dollars credit to one key cash no offer to go to another location or discounts , room upgrade absolutely nothing from motel 6 . I didn't have the funds to leave w/out refund so we were basically stuck and our stay was awful so we stayed off property during as much of the day as possible, my daughter was so sad

The pool is green, in construction, train nearby, half block from highway, tree line street to walk, 4 police cars at front office when returned from walk, but bed was great, sleep in till 8:00.

Shower (bath) drain clogged with other people's hair. Mattress was very soft, especially on the edges. Noise from adjoining (connecting door) room until after 0030 (not hotel's fault). I messaged them via this site, but they told me (the following morning) that they don't get those messages!

The staff were the saving grace, and this place needs them desperately. They were very accommodating, but the AC in our initial room was so filthy that we had to switch to a different room. The AC was dirty there too, but not near as much. The pool area smelled like pee so much so that I refused to let my kid swim in it. The designated pet areas had no grass, making it pretty hard for animals to pee or poo comfortably. The sidewalk paths around the property were very dirty, even looking like there was smeared poo on one portion. We used our own towels, because a few of the ones in our room had stains. The parking lot was beat up, and had very limited parking in front of one of the units. Luckily, the rooms themselves were surprisingly clean, and it’s fairly close to a lot of places and activities. One thing’s for sure, you get what you pay for.

The gentleman who checked me in was very nice. Unfortunately, there was a woman outside of my room who was screaming horrible words to a man for about 30 minutes. It was awful and frightening. I asked the man at the counter if I could leave and get a refund. He was going to give me the refund, but couldn’t because I booked through Expedia and it was 8:00 pm.

Good room for the price. Wish there had been a convenience store within walking distance. I had a car but if anyone used a taxi or bus to get here, it's a walk over the freeway overpass to get to any stores. Room was too bright at night as is usual for Motel 6. Blackout curtains *must* be hung closer to windows and have a cap on top to work properly, especially when there's a walkway light right over the room's window. There was a big gap under the door and the leaf blower man blew a bunch of dirt and leaves into my room under the door, so the floor was dirty after that.

When I made the reservation I requested a room with queen size bed I don't think that was what I got it felt alot smaller it wasn't comfortable & my boyfriend & I didn't sleep well I usually enjoy my stays there & never have any complaints I just need the bed to be the size I ordered u can always go bigger just never smaller

The bedroom towels always were changed out stained and hair embedded in the towels they were folded to where you wouldn’t see it from the top but once opened it was disgusting and unsanitary. Our bathroom smelled like strong weed every night we had to sleep with the fan on in there and the door closed. I will not be staying there again. I asked for clean towels day 2 of staying and after I asked for clean towels they got worst and worst not sure if it was out of anger from the housekeeper. Having someone else’s hair in a towel is just gross not acceptable at all. Someone else’s hair was in our sheets as well. Will not be staying here again.

Ok. Looks can be deceiving. Its location is ok, the adjacent hotel is under construction and parking can be a challenge BUT the room was very clean and modern. Our room wasn't very big but big enough for 2 people. The towels were very thin and water pressure was ok. But overall it suited our needs for the 1 night stay to catch our early morning flight

The detail on the website says "free breakfast," but there was no breakfast. There was coffee in the lobby, but no food. Also, I was supposed to get the senior discount - but when I arrived, there was no record of the senior discount and they had charged my card already. Clean though. And comfortable. But just double check the details.
