The room was clean, the price was good. The location was safe and quiet which made the room comfortable. Other than that, it is a good place to stay. The bed sheets didn't smell fresh. Had a weird smell. The soap was awful. It was hard and did not make suds and crumble into pieces. As a result, I used my own body wash. Furniture was outdated.

Location was central and not far from the highway. There was previous visiters hair in the bathroom. The shampoo in the foil packets was hard to open.

Clean, quite and great value

As a result of staying here I have a very bad mass of bed bug bites on my leg. The day after sleeping here I had a slight burn in my legs that I believed was a sunburn but after day or so the bites became raised bumps. I am very upset about my experience. This hotel is a potential health hazard.

Sacramento and the baseball ballpark. The room Was clean and had a good shower. The bed was fine. The only issue is you might have a loud neighbor as the walls might be a bit thin. I would have peefered an extra lock/latch. Overall, it was a good stay.

Now to be clear, this is an old school motel from a time long past. It is dated and has its quirks, but that is part of it's character. It isn't trying to compete with the fancier hotels, but it blows away every motel 6 I have stayed at in the area. It is definitely my new home away from home.

I had a great stay at this motel and honestly don’t have much to complain about. If I had to choose one downside, it would be the location. Hi, I wanted to share some feedback about my stay. A person at the front desk was very disrespectful. I asked for help with the Wi-Fi, but they didn’t assist me at all and responded in an unprofessional manner. The Wi-Fi was not working for me, and their attitude made the situation worse. I hope this can be looked into, as it really affected my experience at the hote

The staff were nice and attentive The first room had a roach in the bathroom , they gave us another room immediately and I understand the roach very well could have also traveled there in someone’s suitcase or ??? The hotel is clean but they can’t control what other guests might bring in unknownly.

Great little spot! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and I slept like a log. 10/10 will stay again when I need an overnight in Sac. 😊

The parking was great. I drive a long pickup and there was space to get parked headed out of the parking lot and safely park. The room was clean with plenty of room to get around. The bed was a bit soft, but most motel beds are. The management was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

I was shocked that this room was over $300. It was easily comparable to a Motel 8. The walls in the room and bathrooms were disgusting. Spills that had obviously been there for a long time. Bedding was extremely poor quality. I actually pulled things off the bed to check for bed bugs (there weren't any).

As a parent traveling alone with a child, I felt a little uneasy about a couple of the stated rules as they're usually just implied and hopefully everybody abides by them. These included no unpaid guests would be allowed to visit and every guest would have their own bed unless they were an adult couple.. I wonder what kind of clientele have gone to this place if they have to stage such rules.. I'm glad they're looking out for everyone's safety though.

My stay was very pleasant and my room was mostly quiet. The only problem was that the ice machine broke down on my last full day there and it was really hot outside. The ice would have been really nice.

The owners were very nice. It was very clean. The microwave stopped working but obviously that's bound to happen eventually. Overall good stay the AC and heater is very efficient. And the beds are comfortable. There was a long mirror which was great for the purpose of my trip: a cosplay convention, (mirrors are needed for makeup and costumes.)

The hotel was a fantastic choice for seeing a baseball game at Sutter Health Park and avoiding the overpriced hotels downtown. The room was a bit dated, especially in the bathrooms, but it was well maintained. There were occasionally some savory characters outside, but that's out of the control of the hotel. I would happily stay there again.

Echo Lodge was very comfortable and in a nice location in West Sacramento. We walked to a nearby gyro shop for dinner, and really enjoyed our stay!

Check was bizarre, could not enter office area had to check in through the doorway. Super strong odor in room, furniture is very worn and beds very uncomfortable. No coffee available etc. Area was very noisy.

My girlfriend and I had a very solid time at this location. I only spoke with staff twice, but they were very courteous and respectful both times. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was spacious. The only noteworthy issues were that the shower drain was clogged somewhat each night and would only drain the water very slowly, and that there appeared to be slight signs of mold on the bathroom walls/ceiling due to the moisture from showering. However, besides those problems it was a great stay for a great price. I could see myself going here again, especially if those issues are resolved.

The room was clean but the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, I couldn’t sleep the whole night, in another words the hotel only was good to take a shower otherwise I would’ve been better slept in my car for the only night I stayed at the Echo Lodge, not to mention all the activity of the working girls that were coming in and out from the hotel.

This is a quiet place to stay, especially if you're on a budget. The office staff is very friendly and it was an easy check-in/checkout. The room and bathroom were clean although a bit outdated. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were nice and clean! I reserved a non-smoking room but due to an error in the system they were actually all reserved already and I ended up being given a smoking room. Besides the smoke smell, the room was great. Fridge and microwave worked and were pretty convenient

I stayed here during the Aftershock festival. Very quiet neighborhood, room has everything you need. I stayed in a king room with a friend. We were comfortable the whole time. Front desk let us check in early and gave us as late of a check out as they could. It was a wonderful experience, I'd come back next year.

Apparently the only one of dozens of aging motels on West Capitol that's listed on this site. Bare bones for sure (but unlike Motel 6 you at least get shampoo) and predictably worn, but if you're looking for a clean, inexpensive no-frills room where everything works, look no further. The area is hardly upscale but it's safe, and there are plenty of inexpensive dining options nearby (including Middle Eastern), which unfortunately I didn't have the chance to check out.

Comfy cozy room that was clean and welcoming. Has a fridge, microwave, tv, air conditioning, and wifi. Very pleasing that I could keep drinks cold, and cook my protein muffins in the microwave for breakfast. I had to unplug, then plug in the box on the tv else had no sound (I had watched Sweetie do that after I called her...she had come right up to my room to help me) whenever I changed the channel or turned off tv...no biggie. People are very nice!

I've stayed here many times, affordable and clean. Only ongoing issue is the beds are too hard. Wake up with back pain...need to add a layer of mattress cushion under the sheets.

The covers had cigarette burns all over them and several pubic hair in shower and on toilet. You could hear everything everybody else was doing.

Staff at the property were lovely, but the area felt a little unsafe and not much was open.

The people who run the hotel were kind and helpful. The physical hotel is 1 or 2 stars. However, for the price, I'd stay there again. It was clean, had linens and professionally run.

The front desk lady was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. It was 111° on my check in day and after being in the room for less than 10 minutes the air conditioner kept turning off, after BARELY even blowing "cool-ish" air from the beginning. I went to the front desk and the lady was very condescending and told me, "Maybe i just didn't know how to work it." So she followed me to the room and turned the ac knob off and then back on, like i had already done a dozen times, and as soon as it barely started blowing she says, "See you just had wrong setting. " Then when i tell her its barely even blowing cold she says, No that's how they all are, its just because it's hot outside." I said "EXACTLY, that's why when you pay to rent a room it needs to have a working ac." She also refused to let me change rooms because "they were very busy" but yet the same 4 cars were in the parking lot when I checked in, and when i checked out. I definitely will NEVER be staying here again, and I'm letting all of my friends and relatives know how horrible the service was so they know to steer clear of it as well.

Everything went well. There were no problems.

The room was clean and had a very good and pleasant smell. Parking was ample. My only concern was when I was checking in, I heard 3 gunshots which appeared to be from the property across the street. There are many vagrants walking the street at night and also during the day. This property was a good value.

Everything is old in the room. thousand years carpet especially. The water can’t run down in the tub. The light was broken. The staff didn’t want to move us to another room. Even we moved in the end. The problem didn’t solved.

Lady at the front desk was friendly and worked with me on a late checkout. The room was clean overall but microwave had seen better days and looked sketchy to use. There was also lipstick or nail polish on toilet bowl. The bed had a divet in it but was still comfortable and the pillow I wish I could have taken home, it was comfy. Overall good stay for the price, and facilities were to be expected due to age of buildings.

The room was clean, but the bathroom light flickered and crackled (think of every horror movie you've ever seen) which rendered it unusable. The ice machine was also broken and clearly had been for a long time. It was filthy. The bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom (excepting the creepy/annoying light). The staff who checked us in was friendly and even gave us a room we had stayed in in the past, which was nice.

I was very happy with my experience at Econo Lodge. It was very clean. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It is in very close proximity to things to do.

I got in late due to some car trouble but the staff were very accommodating. Dropped off my key early to attend and event, so it was pleasant and very convenient for my stay.

Best value for money. The bed was better than I was expecting the rest was about what I expected. Not top tier clean or quiet but not dirty or loud, very middle of the road. The staff is top notch and I still slept well and felt safe so that's a BIG WIN for Sacramento.

Despite being in downtown, I never saw a homeless person or drug addict anywhere near the facility. Other guests were quiet. Room was ok for the price. Most places with the same price have bad environments and with that being said, I definitely felt safe. Would definitely recommend great place if your on a budget while traveling!
