The staff was helpful and friendly. The food excellent. The dim lighting and comfortable furniture was truly enjoyable. Rooms awesome with great views. Beds are beyond comfortable. Best hotel. Will look forward to returning. Great location too.

Wonderful property…we truly loved this hotel. One of our all time favorite.

The room was nice and clean. However, the hotel was extremely noisy, and I woke up multiple times during the night because of the noise throughout the property. In addition, the staff was not helpful. I lost my sunglasses at the main entrance and called the hotel within less than five minutes, but unfortunately they were not helpful at all in trying to assist or follow up.

Quite a unique experience here as I got locked in the bathroom my first day and the majority of staff response was disappointing. I didn’t think I’d get locked in there so was just in a tiny towel as a curvy 5’10 woman and the staff just kind of brushed it off. They made it really difficult to move rooms over and wanted me to stay in all day then agreed to move my packed up stuff over but didn’t. When the man finally came to the new room he made sarcastic jokes about having to do it. I then had an incident with housekeeping making fun of my things with the door wide open when I came home the following day. Definitely not worth the premium price tag! Majorly disappointing.

Poor experience. AC didn’t work, moldy smell in my room, and my breakfast was made incorrectly. Wait staff was terrible when asking for items after breakfast was served, two days in a row I asked for water which was never brought over.

One of my favorite perks is the complimentary Audi car service that takes you within a 3-mile radius. It made exploring the area so convenient without the hassle of parking. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly & helpful. The aesthetic of the property in general is where this place really shines as I enjoyed having live plants everywhere including inside the room mixed with the modern boho vibe. The lobby bar area is probably one of the better hotel lobby bar experiences I’ve had as the waitress was incredibly kind, the drinks were fantastic, and the cozy couches and chairs were wonderful to sit on. I will be returning to this hotel.

A gift shop in the hotel. There was no service at the pool. It felt understaffed. they added gratuity on every single thing you bought whether you receive service or not, and did not disclose it.

The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my stay. One detail I especially loved is their open dining concept — you can order from one central place and have your food brought to wherever you’re seated, whether that’s the bar, the garden, or the restaurant. It makes everything feel very relaxed and convenient. Even if you’re simply enjoying a glass of wine, there are so many comfortable spots to sit and unwind. I didn’t have the opportunity to visit the spa this time, but I was given a room on the 10th floor and was very happy with my stay overall. The restaurant Madeo is located on the property (though it’s not owned by the hotel). It’s originally from Italy, and I 100% recommend it. A truly lovely experience — I would definitely return.

This used to be a luxury hotel, now for the price it seems to be superficial luxury.It’s not quite the same as it had been. Skyline room was very small. The front desk staff were moderately friendly or helpful. Significant amenity charges regardless of use, Excessive valet charges.

The Burger at the bar was average. deffo not worth the price as it was dry. The drinks were ok but not amazing. The bar guy was mostly chatting to a colleague who was off duty and the topics made for wild listening tbh. Upon check out, I was charged for an overnight stay of $75 despite checking out at 9pm as my flight was moved to an earlier start the next morning. Then a charge for a whisky in the room I didn't consume. Overall, not in a rush to go back for $850 a night. Management has work to do to make this feel like a true high end location.

The 3rd time we’ve stayed at the hotel so we do like it. Rooms are comfy. The staff are friendly, bar area is really nice, the pool is always busy as it’s quite small. There are often private events on that restrict access to other areas. Music can be too loud for such events. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean.

I was mistreated by employees. Then two big owners started hitting me on the street causing me not to check in as I lost there my jacket with cards and passport. You should request surveillance

This hotel has a really cool weekend vibe and was a great place to arrive for our stay on a Saturday. Thank you to Starr for a great check-in and Casey in Juniper bar for looking after us. Roof bar in the West Tower has great LA views. Loved the sunken garden for nightime energy and morning coffee. Excellent service, food and drinks. Room was nice overlooking the Hills. Great location to watch downtown LA sunrises, and for walking to Beverly Hills. Would not want to be any nearer to Hollywood as it is all pretty run down. And for balance, shower water pressure could be better and ran cold for 5 minutes before hot arrived. And 5* should provide complimentary water in the room - not everything should be designed to extract your dollars. Overall a very positive experience.

The counter is it always this loud and obnoxious and he said no, it’s not. They were hosting an event that day and it was just so loud. But what really bothered me was the “ scheduled blackout” that they said they had text all their guest about. I did not receive any text about the scheduled blackout. I elevator was in the middle of my shower and the lights went out. There was no electricity for the elevators to work. I had to carry all my bags down the stairs, no air conditioner in the heat of the summer. It was unbelievable very disappointed. If they knew they were going to have to shut off the power, they shouldn’t book any rooms in that tower. It’s unfair to us as a guest.

Really disappointing having come from the 1 hotel miami beach. I arrived at 3am after an 8 hour delay, nobody was able to help me with my luggage, and hotel was empty, i had to find a staff member in the office to check me in which took 20 minutes and a 10 minute wait just to have a room key be made? No room service until 6am either is bizarre in a 5 star hotel. I requested late check out, (1 hour was granted) yet even when i had do not disturb on the door, housekeeping knocked 3 times to ask when I was leaving. I would appreciate a response please as from my account you can see i have never complained or had an issue with any hotel like this, as a frequent traveller this was a disastrous experience and unfortunate. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

It was ok for the cost but not special

Our anniversary stay at 1 Hotel West Hollywood, though in a prime West Hollywood location, was a mix of highs and lows. Having enjoyed the 1 Hotel San Francisco, my expectations for consistent excellence were high, but unfortunately not fully met. Early pool access was a nice start, allowing us to relax before check-in. However, the check-in itself felt impersonal; we received a text our room was ready, but no warm welcome or overview of the hotel's amenities was given. This lack of basic orientation was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Our room was also initially dirty, with a sheet wedged between the couch and window. While quickly rectified and followed by a lovely anniversary champagne and treats, it marred our arrival experience. The Bamford Spa felt rudimentary and lacked a truly relaxing atmosphere, with a shared single bathroom and no proper lounge. I'd honestly recommend skipping it for now. While the pool bar staff were excellent, the hotel's public access policy meant the lobby often turned into a loud "influencer" hotspot or even a nightclub at night, which wasn't disclosed. We also found out about services like their car service too late due to poor communication about available amenities throughout our stay. Despite these issues, the prime location to shopping, dining, and entertainment makes me consider a return. However, I truly hope for improved service consistency and clearer communication to match branding!

Rooftop pool is very nice, staff is accommodating. Wish that plain water was more plentiful and available. Enjoyed the snacks available in the lobby the last time more, they didn't really put stuff out this time around.

The attendant who pulled up my car straight up stared at me and watched as I struggled to get all my luggage into the trunk — didn’t even attempt to help, which was strange for a 5-star hotel. I honestly don’t know why I still tipped him.

I loved the verdant patio and all the other outdoor and indoor common areas including the bar and restaurants. But everything was expensive; $70 a night just to park, even had to pay for ice in a bucket. No vent in the bathroom.

Stayed in a suite and everything was broken: phone didn't work, outlets didn't work, TV wouldn't turn on, it was actually laughable. They lost our luggage when bringing it up to the room so we waited two hours for them to find it. It's cute but literally the worst hotel to stay at

Very posh hotel. Great for trend setters and those wanting to be seen in the many instragramable areas of the hotel. One very specific downside - the bathroom door has an architectural hole in it about about 6”x18” long. Not great for privacy.

Stunning oasis.

This is not a $700/night hotel regardless of location. My child cut his finger on flaking chrome water spigot in shower and when reported, staff could not have cared less about it.. other rusted fixtures in the bathroom / Splinter farm furniture.. so charming.. Oh but the view? Watching people go in and out of a cannabis dispensary all day .. yay. The cars on street below will wake you up periodically through-out the night and we were on the 9th floor. Speaking of noise, the refrigerator was rattling away but you don't have that convenance because its full of the organic free-range almond milk and responsibly sourced sustainable granola they're trying to peddle. Great parking though right? Sure for an additional $70 a night and only (slow) valet so you have to dead-stare the guy right in the eye or pretend to be distracted while you stiff him because your already pissed at the $70.. Maybe my limited intellect and uncultured experiences don't allow me to appreciate the decor but hanging dead sticks and weeds on the wall doesn't really connect me with nature. AND lastly.. Only an expresso machine in room. not coffee: so confusing and complicated to use they have to print the instructions on a napkin which you only find after 10 frustrating minutes. Such a joy to figure out after a night of interrupted sleep from the MarioCart on the street below . Skip this one guys..

Location was good, gym & pool area were nice, crowd was fun. Staff was generally good. Room was very basic, bathroom in particular (a bath/shower combo in a recently built five star hotel?) Pool area was shut down for a whole day for maintenance. Prices were too high for bfast though. Same for drinks at the bar ($90 for 2 cocktails & an order of fries). Concierge was hapless, left work without passing along our file to anyone (we had asked for help for dinner rez & concert tickets), something I have never experienced in 30 years of staying at high end hotels. Anyhow, wont be back and wont recommend.

Housekeeping stole my wedding ring. When we reported it to the hotel it time and time again they would do anything. We had to file a police report and after that the hotel still did not want to cooperate. They weren’t willing to question the housekeeper, check cameras or even call us back. We have been 1 beach club members for 5 years and stayed at many hotels. This hotel is unsafe and a disgrace, do yourself a favor and do not stay here

Property was nice - rooms were nice. Just hate the two different towers bc getting out seemed far too complicated than it needed to be lol but overall experience 10/10. No complaints for my 2 day stay - try Madeos for dinner - great Italian food right next door if you’re too lazy to go out anywhere.

It was my second time staying at the 1 in West Hollywood and this time round was unfortunately filled with disappointment, all to do with the lack of customer service. I absolutely loved it the first time but I was continually let down by the staff - mainly those on the front desk. After rooms not being ready for hours past the check in time I got in the room it was directly facing construction and the busiest part of sunset so my soundtrack was cars honking and construction work. I ended up calling asking to change rooms around 8am the next day because I was just exhausted and didn’t want to spend the next 8 days not being able to rest. I was told I could move and if I was out to pack up my bags so they could move everything over once the room was ready and that they’d call so I can change over my keys. It got to 6pm and I had to get ready yet I still hadn’t been contacted, I went down to reception to which they said the room had been ready for hours and it seemed like the staff didn’t want to take accountability for anything and just blame whoever else was on shift when things were said. On my last day at the hotel I went for coffee with a friend around 9:30am and at around 10:30 I get a call from the hotel asking if I had left and I said no to which they said oh sorry we will check you back in. When I went to grab my bags the keys didn’t work and I ended up almost missing my flight because there were 8-10 people waiting at reception so it took 30/40 mins to resolve the key

The hallways in the room smelled like food a lot they should definitely invest in some kind of aerosol sprays that moat throughout the halls every so often. Espc for the caliber of this property/stay. It is the 1hofel There should be zero smells ( bad odor) throughout the facility.

The dog in the next room barked until the morning, the generator noise was terrible until 5.5 pm in the morning, it worked all the time and I couldn't sleep at all, I passed out at 8 in the morning, they told me to check out at 12 until 11, I left the hotel at 1:00 as I was sick with insomnia, the best place in Los Angeles. I stayed in two good hotels for one night each, Friday and Saturday, the weekend was a disgrace. I have a serious complaint about the edition Hotel and Hotel 1, none of the employees are helpful

Number 1 - my LV leather luggage was damaged. I was devastated when I saw the staff put my leather luggage on the asphalt when they were loading our car. I didn’t notice the damage until after I picked up my luggage from the car. Number 2 - when I was in the shower I noticed long black hair in the wall. I have platinum blonde hair and I was so disappointed when I saw that. This shows that the cleaners don’t do deep cleaning but just surface cleaning.

Secondly, I want to mention the washroom sliding door design is a bit inconvenient and the installation quality is at average level. My wife tried to close the door while taking shower but the door got stuck in the midway. She pulled it harder then the door suddenly got loss and closed all the way and stuck her finger pretty badly. So I would like to see some improvement for the washroom door. Also, I highly recommend hotel to put more lights in each room. It is simply too dim at night time. Thank you

The room was gorgeous but there wasn't much to the "city view" and the first night (Thurs) we hardly slept at all due to the nightly jackhammering happening across the street. Luckily they didn't work on the weekend nights. We were excited to try out the pool but it was a scene when we arrived at around 2pm and all loungers were occupied. Breakfast was delish and our server was incredibly kind. We liked the location too - easy to take short ubers to great restaurants and to get to Universal Studios, Hollywood Blvd, etc. Only random thing is that there aren't any ice makers on the floors - no ice for your in-room happy hours but they will bring you some if you like.
