Very convenient location for visiting Shenandoah national park or Shenandoah valley and its many caves. Rooms were very clean and very spacious. Seemed like double the space of other hotel rooms.

I liked the sofa setup in the room, so I could stay up and work while my husband slept. The little table was a bonus. Coffee was good. The carpet in the hall and the room was pretty, but stained and old. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.

HELPFUL STAFF

I was mostly pleased with this hotel. It was clean, even if it’s a little outdated. The staff was super nice and helpful. Only two “issues” were the fan in the bathroom didn’t work so it was more hot and humid, and the toilet seat lid wasn’t fully connected on one side. I told the front desk and they were nice and apologetic. The room was really clean and the beds were more comfortable than I expected. Breakfast was good for a free continental breakfast-fruits, cereal, yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, muffins, waffles and of course coffee and juice. Our three boys were happy with the selection.

The decaf coffer was luke warm. The only items were bagels and blueberry muffins. The hotel clerk stated that a lot of the items for breakfast were lost in traffic. The carpetin the area where you come was not clean. It really made us a second thought about staying there or not. The downstairs rug left tobe desired.

We were informed at check in breakfast was no longer a “hot breakfast” and the “hot tub” was just a tub. The beds were low quality and we could feel the coils. The handicap shower head was busted and only sprinkled. Room had no art or visual appeal and the walls were all damaged. The entire hotel was soaking humid. We decided to check out early and when seeking a partial refund we were told that we would be refunded, yet once we left we were denied a refund. Worst stay in the area yet.

So many things around the hotel were in disrepair and the breakfast was basic with very little protein.

Fine for a solo trip. But leaves a lot to be desired.

This hotel is the best in the area, the pool is an added bonus. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, the stay here is a great value.

Building exterior needs update, hallway carpet needs cleaning or replaced. Fire alarm went off at 3am and kept going off intermittently for an hour. Apparently someone had a party. Sign at check-in mentioned locals and extra fees. Wondering if this has become a local “party hotel”?? Probably wouldn’t stay here again based on our experience.

Nice size suite. The 5 of us slept comfortably. Room could use more lighting. Very small lamps/lights. With all the space available we could have also used a table with at least 4 chairs. We were happy/surprised that the pool is open 24 hours, but disappointed the hot tub wasn't working. Breakfast time had a large variety of hot food and not just pastries and was accommodating to even the late sleepers/arrivers. All in all it was a good stay. Would stay again.

The hotel needs a very much update. The main lobby rugs are dirty and need to be cleaned. Staff very friendly.

1) Spacious room. Comfortable bed for my spouse but not for me. 2) Staff was very helpful 3) Plenty of towels supplied to our room. 4) Extra outlet in the bathroom. The vanity is spacious with shelves. Negative... 1) The layout of the bathroom is awkward. Once a person is on the toilet, the door to the main room either stays open or shut because there's only a 1" space between the toilet and opened door. Suggestion: reset the door so it opens out into the room rather into the bathroom. 2) The only amenities provided in the bathroom were two small bars of soap, and one small shampoo and conditioner. No facial tissues or hand cream. 3) We had to ask for a Do Not Disturb sign for our door because there was not one in our room. We didn't get it. 4) Room lighting was lacking. 5) Breakfast was mediocre. The best thing they provided was Jimmy Dean sausage and egg sandwiches. There was no juice in the juice machine. Also, no waffle maker, just prepackaged individual waffles.

Many amenities are offered at this property. with special touches of thoughtfulness to the guests. Because it is in a cluster of commercial buildings, walking to different shops and restaurants is somewhat limited with no sidewalks and crosswalks available.

We love this hotel! So close to restaurants. The only negative was the breakfast. It has changed since our previous stays. Used to have much more to choose from.

Good value for money

It Wasn't particularly bad, the shower had a couple hairs in it when we got there, other then that the room was reasonably clean. Beds were very firm. Not amazing but not bad either, I wouldn't be upset if I had to stay here again.

The selection of breakfast was good the first morning but the second morning there wasn’t really anything to chose from. Hot tub wasn’t working. Parking was very tight. Water backed up in the bathtub while taking a shower.

This was the dirtiest hotel we've ever stayed in. The first room we were given was filthy. The toilet had not been cleaned in likely weeks, and there was actual food and trash on the floor. We asked for a new room, which we were given, and that one was only marginally better. The smell of cigarette and weed smoke was all over the hotel. I will say, the one and only positive about this hotel was the front desk staff was pleasant and friendly.

We were assigned a room in the basement level, a first for me. Across from the laundry room and elevator. This was not quiet - the room was sufficient for our needs - a safe place close to the highway to get back on the road in the am and finish our journey. Breakfast was not good. Not even the coffee. And the stinky old fashioned planter in the lobby right next to the food where people now toss wishing well coins was simply off putting. Having the pool and the “well” and the open lobby toilets next to you while trying to eat is rather unpleasant. If you are booking because you need breakfast don't expect to fuel up with this - Panera and Starbucks across the street. The staff were polite - but also seems disinterested in being there and exhausted. Suspect the management is barely holding this place together. The exterior is aging and lacks repair, the interior shows some upgrades but inconsistent. It’s a good inexpensive stay for a quick overnight and satisfied that need. Not a place to stay for more than a night or two.

The breakfast was terrible.My husband said it was the worse breakfast ever. We were in a non smoking room but housekeeping was across the hall and we could snell smoke. The shower was good and the towels were very nice

We had a very good stay. A very spacious room complete with dinette set! The bed was comfortable and the room was the just the right temperature. The only negative, and it's not a big deal, is the sink in the bathroom drained very slowly.

I had to pay a local deposit. That i understand well the lady put the wrong room number on my deposit so when i left it took over a hour to figure things out. The lady in the front tried to be respectful and nice but playing with people money is not cool.

Was a decent place. Nice rooms. I thought when I booked I booked a bigger room but it was a little smaller. Breakfast was ok. It was quiet there until the second night. The room over was making noise a little late. But overall good price and quality.

Nice hotel but ice machine on our floor was inoperable both nights we were there. No hot breakfast, and no housekeeping service during our stay. We called the front desk and the receptionist brought us fresh towels, but overall it just needs a little tlc. Staff was kind and helpful.

Everything is good except toilet is way too low because we're so used to having the higher toilets. Not a major issue though.

Downgrading the breakfast from full to continental was a BIG mistake, You are NOT a motel, like Super 8 or Days Inn. You are competing with Best Western and Comfort Inn -- both of which now have you beaten hands down on breakfast. DUMB!

The room was great. Staff was friendly. Advertise with hot breakfast. Did not happen. Breakfast was a piece of toast or cereal. Coffee was about gone. If you go there take your own breakfast

With no circular driveway, parking is a bit challenging if towing a trailer of any kind. Was given the option to use the Home Depot lot, but due to walking distance and security concerns opted to not do that and make due.

Outdated. Room key kept gettinf deactivated and they didn't let us know why until having to get it fixed 5 times. Hot tub was out of service.

The room was clean and comfortable. When you walk out of the room, the hallways are yellow/yellowed, the elevator is dirty, and everything is just meh. But seriously, a comfortable room is not the worst area.

Although I signed several places that said no smoking….the entire hotel reeked of smoke as did my hotel room. And my room was also next the cleaning person party room at 8 am.

Stayed here after snowboarding with my boys. We hit some tall beers at the Outback Steakhouse next door, then kept the party going at the 24-hour indoor pool. Feel like I've never been to a hotel where the pool is actually open, so it felt like something out of a dream. Truly beautiful night. Maybe bring your own pillow though. Coffee in the morning was good too.

The room was nice it was a nice remodeled hotel

24 hr pool and gym but…HOT TUB BROKEN. I assume people checking in with children were sent to the basement level to contain noise. Singles and couples were sent to floor 2 or 3. The 1st floor windows are level with headlights of cars parking and you have to keep the shade down. Housekeeping is also housed on the ground level. I had to turn on the heater fan TV and shower to drown out the noise from car engines and staff starting their shifts around 7:30am. I did not hear any noise from children. NOT FOR LOCALS or families unless you can get 2nd or 3rd floor, but overall good for a quick-cheap stay. Decent bed, nice pillows, modern furnishings, friendly staff, ok breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and professional. They ensured we had a room that had no contact with down products as we are allergic to down feathers. The room was very clean and large. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Enjoyed our quick stay. We had a slow check-in (couldn't find a desk attendant) but once she arrived was warm and friendly. Room was comfy and clean. Great location from our Wintergreen destination. We'll visit again!

Our recent stay with our kids was great. They loved the pool - which can be accessed 24 hours. The hot tub was not working, so that was a little disappointing. Staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was decent. Hotel was very clean.

The guy who ran the breakfast bar was friendly, cheerful, and did an excellent job. We’ve never had a hotel breakfast that was so well done. You could tell he put a lot of work and effort into the breakfast. We stayed at another Wyndham on our trip because of our stay at this hotel. The woman at the desk was also great and the room was clean and the whole property was tidy and well kept

Amazing location very close to all the necessities

Hot tub was broken, heated pool was not that warm, elevator was broken so we have to carry all luggage to 3rd floor, house keeping only comes every 3 days and we had a family suite and bagged all our trash and towels for pick up to get new ones and we’re not not about the rule until calling the front desk. Toilet ring in the toilet, stains all over couch and ottoman, gum and sticky stuff under both side tables

Out trip

There simply aren’t enough nice things to say about the fabulous staff here. We had stayed a couple of days before Christmas and they had had a little Santa in the room stating that my children had found Santa so they could come pick wrapped gifts from the lobby. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was lovely and again the staff just makes the place.

We greatly appreciated the excellent condition of the property and the friendly, helpful staff. One staff person went out of her way to help us get breakfast early so that we could be on our way as planned.
