Very convenient location with easy access to food and fuel, as well as the attractions of the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really liked my room--extremely well maintained facility! I appreciate the use of multi-use, refillable containers for soap, lotion, conditioner much like what is found throughout Europe.

Our tub dripped and got worse while we were there. I think the hotel may be undergoing renovations.

We didn't have breakfast but it seemed pretty limited - juice, some pastries, cereal. The room was clean, which was all we were looking for. But the hallways were pretty dingy and the hotel felt like a sketchy place. But, again, the rooms were clean and comfortable, so that's the important part. It's in a decent location too.

Convenient, priced right, they did go in and clean the room (did ask for it) but our door keycard was deactivated. Front desk was able to fix it right away.

This facility is close to shopping in Waynesboro and Stuarts Draft. Sherando Park nearby is lovely.

We needed two rooms for a concert we were coming to see. Definitely not the best place but it gave us a place to lay our head rather than drive three hours after the concert ended. The cleanliness definitely lacked.

So I knew it was a lower end hotel which was fine as that was all I was paying for. The positives are the room was clean (my feet didn’t turn black walking around) the bathroom was very clean and in good condition. The bed was a little soft but still seemed in very good shape. The negatives were the two towels in the bathroom, while clean (yay) both had thread worn holes and were extremely small. Similarly the bed cover had many sections that were faded like someone may have taken spot cleaner to really get something out… which we didn’t want to think about. Oh same good and bad. The AC unit was extremely efficient, but so loud it was hard to talk over. Overall if I was traveling by myself I’d have no problem staying there, but I’m not sure I’d stay there again with my wife.

Our room was fairly clean and very comfortable, with the exception of light coming into the room during the night. Plenty of parking available . Breakfast wasn't our favorite. Just toastable offerings, cereal, and yogurt. Some fresh muffins would have been appreciated.

The shower leaked constantly and this morning someone came into my room without knocking and for no reason. I had the DND sign up and it was only 8am. I wanted to stay another night but that turned me off and was not fair.

Room was very clean for the price. The heat/ac unit was a little noisy but doesn't bother me. Helps drown out any noise from other rooms around you. Will stay again next time we go skiing at wintergreen.

Hotel was adequate for our short stay with little room time. The air conditioner was incredibly noisy. The parking lot was at the room window level so coming and going guests were load. Ice machine at door was another annoyance.

The parking was good, but I wasn't impressed with the breakfast.

On a much more minor note, the coffee was the worst we had ever had. The breakfast lacked any substance. There was no eggs, bacon, sausage or potatoes. No hot options except toast and thawed frozen bagels.

The main reason that I chose the Super 8 was that it was the only hotel near Monticello that was priced reasonably. The location was very convenient to places to eat and refuel. The room was adequate and the beds comfortable. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about.

The check in desk lady was very nice, but said every room was booked. After a hike up 3 flights of stairs and a long walk down the hall, the room smelled dank and like it hadn't been aired out in weeks. The window dosent open - turned on the air conditioning unit which was loud and smelled like burning hair. The bathroom had been wiped down except the "brown splashes?" On the walls were apparent. Threadbare towels and a ripped sheet were the finishing touches. The "breakfast" was burnt coffee, wonder bread bagels and sugary yogurt and cereal. Was not expecting much and that's what we got- actually got less than expected. Avoid! Never ever again.

It’s a budget motel so you get what you pay for, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms are inside which provides a more feeling of security.

My experience at this Super 8 location was reasonable as expected.

We had a nice stay, my only comment is I wish all the lamps has bulb, the room is a little bit dark.

Breakfast was lacking compared to other free breakfasts at similarly rated/priced hotels (frozen waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, watered down juice, coffee), but there are options nearby.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the subway station. It is walkable to multiple restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included however we did not try it. The room contained a refrigerator, which is a nice bonus.

While this may be a budget hotel you definitely get 5 star service. Check in was easy and they already had the AC running in the room so we came into aa nice cool room. From someone who has breathing issues this was the best sort of surprise!!! The beds were super comfortable and the room was clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in this area!

We liked the area it was in as there was a lot of di ing options. Property was good, room was clean. I expect we will keep in mind for the future.

Great stay at a reasonable price. Lots and Lots of eateries within a 2 block radius. Easy freeway access to the 64. I have no hesitations to going back.

The property is tired. It is basicly clean. The carpet and bedspreads worn. The room had a mildly bad smell. The breakfast was very disappointing and the coffee undrinkable. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the temp Abe pressure of the shower very good

Neat and clean for a not so new building.

This is the second time I have stayed here. The entrance is small, the front desk was satisfactory. The rooms were clean and quiet. Did not use the continental breakfast.

But the bed looked fresh and I was able to sleep!

Very nice - I have stayed there before; clean, quiet... Only downside was a bit of a rattle in the air conditioner - and the fact that the yogurts in the fridge were locked up (although I did depart early, at 4 am). Will stay there again...

Listed as handicap, but you must access stairs to get to any floor. Ive had my knee replaced & it was very hard to manuver. (You had to go up & down stairs no matter where your room was. There were no rooms on the same floor as check in.) I was tired & took a shower, then realized the toilet wouldn’t flush. I had to take off the lid to flush it. I called the desk to let them know immediately. I told them I had already unpacked that I was going to bed. Didnt want to get blaimed. Didnt realize hotel was near a main road & there was traffic noise all night. Oddly enough the bed was actually comfortable. But with everything else that was an issue, I wont stay again.

It’s one of the better Super 8’s that I’ve stayed in. The bed was comfy, pretty decent pillows, good size TV, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is older but it has been well maintained. I have stayed at another close by hotel and paid a bit more but for the price, I will stay here again. The staff were super nice. It was very clean and well decorated. It was quiet even though the parking lot was full every night.

The lady at the front desk was nice, but that's about as good as the stay got. The room was disgusting. The bedding had large stains on it, cigarette burns, and makeup was smeared all over the pillowcases. We ended up having to go to Walmart to get a couple clean blankets and Lysol to disinfect & cover up the musty smell. Thankfully we brought our own pillows. The toilet constantly leaked water out into the floor after every flush. My son and I only stayed here because we couldn't find anywhere else in the area due to the UVA football game having everything else booked and were too tired to continue driving. I would not recommend staying here.

You get what you pay for

The staff was very helpful. Property was clean. Coffee always available. There was a frige and microwave and coffee maker in the room. Very easy check-in and check-out.

Very tiny! Lights didnt work, air conditioner could not keep up so you had to leave it on the whole time and was so loud! Ended up leaving a day early could not do another night.

Older hotel and to expensive for what you get

I brought my own blanket and pillow all the time when we go to motels but good think I did this time cause the sheets and the blanket have so much stain.. Not sure if they were washed or just fixed up after another guest checked out... There's not a lot of towels also

The Motel 8 was very good. I normally stay at nicer hotels, but I was pleased with the cleanliness and the staff was very helpful. They do not have a big breakfast, but it was fone.

Overall it was what is expected from a Super8. Room was clean, service is simple, eating area simple (cereal, toasted items, yogurt). This was a No-Smoking hotel. However, when entering our room, there was a strong smell of old cigarettes. It isn’t a smell I enjoy.

Probably one of the most depressing rooms I ever walked into - dingy, loud, awful all around although it was clean. Bed not great either. Don't stay here!

Water in carpet under refrigerator. Stain on ceiling. Room was clean, service was pleasant and courteous. Breakfast was pretty much just cereal and bread - you could get hot chocolate or coffee or tea, and apple or orange juice. Great location, central to Charlottesville, Verona, Waynesboro.

Elizabeth at the front desk was not very friendly, she didn’t say a single word when I arrived at the desk to check in. The hotel itself is pretty basic, the mattresses could use an upgrade- however for an inexpensive stay a night or two, it’s not too bad. I would suggest this hotel if you are looking for an accommodation that is by many amenities and if you are looking for an inexpensive no frills place to rest your head.
