We had to sign a non-smoking agreement while rooms all around us smoked. Blankets, sheets filled with burn holes. Shower curtain and microwave filthy. One towel rack fell right off the wall. Breakfast items sparsely refilled during our 4 day stay, juice machine broken and never fixed. Staff not all well versed with the English language. Our door and windows were filled with spaces that bugs and air got thru. We will never stay or recommend this site to anyone.
- 4/5
The rooms at the front of the property were near the highway. The street noise made it difficult to sleep or even relax. I was booked for 2 nights and when I asked to check out after one night, the manager quickly changed my room so it was quieter. He was concerned that I wouod not find alternative accomadations over the holiday weekend and at the last minute.
- 3/5
Well they have migrant workers in the parking lot drinking and smoking and looking in people's cars . The cops were called cause someone tried to rob a customer or fight them . Then about 1 am someone tried to get in my room . For safety I put a chair under the door handle because the safety latch was missing . Also the bathroom had another person's soap and ass wipes like they never cleaned it I put my own sheet over the bed cause I felt they probably never changed them.
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff were friendly.... Unfortunately, I was placed in a room between the partying pool tournament players and the construction crew that started their party with a case of tall boys under the stairs and continued next to my room....Parking at this hotel is always a little problematic.
- 3/5
Staff was nice
- 2/5
I don’t think the room was cleaned at all. There were items left in the shower from the previous person. No soap in the shower Lots of people making noise in the parking lot all night. Horrible breakfast. It was cheap. I guess you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
The room was very nice but had an odd smell but was clean. Parking good. There was a group outside having a good ole party time when I arrived around 7 until after midnight. Didn't check out the breakfast.
- 1/5
Front window on first floor had a broken lock. Manager stuffed an aluminum tension rod in sideways for security? Bathroom light was hanging because the tape used for holding it to the ceiling had lost its stickiness. No outlets by bed tables for phone charging. Filthy conditions overall. Poor parking area. Too many people live there on a weekly basis who stay up drinking all night in the parking lot. Pillows are mini and not even big enough for an adult head. This place is ridiculous.
- 5/5
The parking spaces were very narrow. The room was very clean. I’d stay there again.

My reservation made with hotels.com was not honored because they hadn't received payment yet. I made the reservation on my way to the hotel. They charged my credit card on site for the cost of the room. We were told to leave the room after we were checked in when they realized that they hadn't received payment yet from the third party. I showed them the receipt from hotels.com and the post of the charge to my credit card. They would not accept these proofs of payment. I spoke to the manager on the phone and he repeatedly said that I needed to call hotels.com. They would not give me the room until they received the third party payment which there is no phone number to call. I left and did not stay at the hotel because there was no way to get the payment from hotels.com. I did start a chat, explained the situation and asked for a refund and is still not resolved the next day. Poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Pretty noisy at night and people arguing in the morning on tgr first second was better
- 4/5
This is a nice little budget motel. No pool, no hot tub. No granite countertops and Egyptian linens. All of those things can be enjoyed for about 3-4X the cost of this nice little family owned motel. The owner is also the check in guy/check out guy, breakfast host, and even saw him cleaning. Very nice man. Very kind and helpful. The bed was soft, the pillows were above average and the breakfast was simple but fine. No eggs (most are fake eggs anyway) no sausage. Just toast, waffle maker, cereal, coffee. The area around the motel was very nice, charming all American city. Clean, walkable, drivable to lots of sites. I felt very safe. No noise problems. If you are looking for a no frills, but pride in ownership little motel to have a soft bed and place to clean up, this is highly recommended. If you are looking for a lush, filled with amenities hotel… then pay 3-4X more (I paid $70 a night) and go stay there. This was a nice stay, from a family that took pride and stayed on top of things as much as able. I would stay here again. No doubt.
- 4/5
Disappointed in the breakfast menu. Extremely limited, juice out, not much there.
- 1/5
A dirty pair of women’s underwear were left in the room from the night before. Hair was in the sink and bathtub when I arrived. A refund for the property was processed.
- 3/5
It was difficult to find, tucked behind some other buildings. I would say it is more of a motel, than hotel, but the rooms were fairly clean, and the beds were comfortable. It served its purpose for one night. The term "free breakfast" is quite a stretch. There is some bread and dry cereal, and shockingly a waffle maker, but no butter, cream cheese, or milk.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect! Ten stars!!!
- 1/5
Our room smelled like cigarettes the staff wasnt friendly our check in took 30 minutes.
- 3/5
Air conditioning worked great but the room smelled awful the sheets was stained and nasty the towels were all stained up wouldn’t stay here again
- 5/5
Very Clean....Staff 👍👍👍👍

Great front desk staff. Clean,
- 1/5
Made my son itchy as hell , no service , the system was broken when we got there … the old comforter had some type of sharp burnt spot where it cut my leg real bad , try to get a refund , & it was nonrefundable , it’s expected for a cheap hotel . Obviously. I just wouldn’t recommend, only if your really in need of a place to stay .
- 1/5
2. The internet connection was Terrible 3. Breakfast was advertised to be included. Lo and behold there was no breakfast. 4. Terrible room service. My bedsheet and towels was never replaced with new ones through out my 5days stay. 6. Ironing my clothes was a nightmare. The first iron was not working and the exchanged one stained my clothes. 7. Smoking spell all over the facility. The true rating should be negative 1 star. Thanks
- 1/5
The room was in poor condition ie holes in walls, loose electrical. Also, television would not turn on.
- 1/5
The room was disgusting like the towels looked like they were used in a garage. The front desk guy literally extorted 86$ from me saying i never paid for my room when i booked it i showed him my confirmation number and itinerary number and the receipt where it says i paid with my credit card he told me pay or get lost that expedia was my problem not his. I hate this place I wouldn’t put my dam dog in a room there. Rhe front desk clerk is a liar and a extortionist. The lights in the room were so dim we could hardly see. The lamp shades were disgraceful with dirt like eff this place as far as im concerned expedia or days inn owe me 95.58$!

Needed more variety of food or ready to eat hot food too.
- 4/5
Was a good visit. Would have been nice to have small taple in room like room we had last 2 times and a plug closer for coffee maker.
- 4/5
Coffee not ready at 6 AM-knocked at door and no one answered.
- 1/5
Drug addicts in the parking lot walking up to my room asking if I had a knife. Paid for a double room queen which is a lock off room with two queen beds. The owner of the hotel who lives on site denied me the room and said it is available for $15 a night extra. Found empty beer cans in a cubby, trash behind the bed, and what appeared to be a very small bed bug or a tic.
- 5/5
Safe parking and not much to mention about breakfast . Raisin bread and coffee
- 5/5
Breakfast was just bread, cereal and yogurt. Juice machine was broken. Towels need replaced, stained and one had a hole. Pillows are flat. Otherwise good value
- 1/5
The staff was rude, overcharged me when i got there, even though i paid online, told me that even after i paid 80 in pet fees for 2 days that i couldnt leave my chihuahua there, the breakfast was dry bread and old coffee, and it was very unsafe there, and very loud
- 4/5
No room can be spotless. This room was good, the shower and sink worked properly and the hotel provided little soaps and shampoos which is always appreciated. The towels were clean. And when a hotel provides you a functional coffee maker and coffee, it makes my morning a little bit better.
- 4/5
Cozy hotel in a beautiful town. Front desk allowed me to check in early, as I had plans for the day. Room was ok and recently remodeled. Aircon worked well. Plenty of parking. My second time staying there so I will return.
- 4/5
We have been very ha
- 3/5
Was only 1 towel in room and no extera toilet paper ran out in middle of night.. but other then that it was a good stay
- 1/5
Clientele was loud and boisterous. I felt unsafe.
- 4/5
My stay here was a pleasant surprise. The hotel doesnt look like much from the outside, but the rooms were ok. They had obviously been recently renovated with new furniture and new bathroom. The shower was hot, the AC worked, and the sheets were clean. Overall, especially considering the price, i would definitely stay here again. And the staff was very friendly and helpful both during my check - in and when i extended my stay 1 more night.
- 5/5
This remodeled room was perfect for my zero day during my AT LASH in SOPA. I stayed 2 nights in a squeaky clean room. The $20 extra per night for my dog was offset by the economic pricing of the rooms in general. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The AC worked like a champ (important, as I was there in August), and the hot water was plentiful. The 'full' breakfast was more European than typical American fare, but I made do with yogurt and raisin bran. It was quiet and peaceful and close to laundry and grocery facilities.
- 4/5
Basic, no frills, as expected from a Days Inn but was clean and in a good location. I especially appreciated the manager’s giving me the number of a local driver who shuttled me back to my car in Harper’s Ferry after hiking the MD AT. I don’t think breakfast was provided but prefer a good coffee shop (like the one a couple hundred yards away) anyways.
- 1/5
In the morning upon waking up at 5 AM loud truck starting in the parking lot people calling out to other people on their way to work and then when I get up, I find cigarette ashes all over my car, leaving white spots from the morning too having to get it washed upon leaving Clean hotel Buff filthy outside
- 5/5
Convenient location. Good value for money. Short, half hour drive to Gettysburg.
- 3.5/5
The room smelled a little like cigarette smoke.
- 5/5
Overall it wasa nice experience. The staff was nice to me, the cleaning guy was really nice and friendly, he made me feel better when I was feeling down. I was able to get in, work on my music and leaving was simple and quick. Only thing I didn't like was the constant sirens and sounds from the neighborhood all night. Mornings weren't that bad though. Especially quiet on weekdays.
- 1/5
This hotel is rated pet friendly yet there is NO where to take your dog to do their business. The toilet backed up. They came and plunged it and left the plunger in case it happened again because it was still draining slow. There was no toilet paper holder; the roll was on the sink. No closet bar or hangers to use. No curtains. Room was very bare minimum. We were so very disappointed we left and got a room somewhere else. So I can’t comment on anything else like the bed or bedding, water pressure, towels, etc. I would NOT recommend a stay here.
- 3/5
👍
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
Modest at best. Clean room. Towels so old they look like coffee filters! Loud. Okay place to sleep. Staff was friendly.
- 2/5
Check-in went well. But the room smelled like people had been smoking in it for years, even though it said non-smoking room. The floor was dirty, and there was something on the toilet that my wife first described as blood, but then determined was probably just something red and gooey. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
- 4/5
Don't let the exterior fool you. This was a fine place to stay if looking for the basics. Clean, renovated rooms, comfortable beds, fast hot water with good water pressure. We were just passing through and needed a place to crash for the night, and it met all the needs. Its not a boutique stay, but it does not promise that. The staff was accommodating and breakfast was included. Not fancy, but a fine night's sleep.
- 1/5
I'm trying to get a full refund.
- 1/5
This place is sketchy at best. I pretty much just look for a place to lay my head when I'm picking a hotel, but I left this place immediately after checking in and rented out a different place. I'm not going to pile on the negativity here, but this place didn't meet my very basic expectations.
- 4/5
The price when i booked was very reasonable. This motel is located in a residential area and the parking is a little tight. I was on the second floor. I didn't see an elevator, i would guess there must have been one somewhere?? The room was nice sized and looked like it had been recently renovated. There was some work going on with the property when i stayed, so it seems like they're fixing it up. I would stay again if i could get a similar rate to what i paid.
- 1/5
Very dated, furniture looked like a poor man’s IKEA and the water coming out of the shower was black! And their Breakfast nook also doubled as a storage room.
- 2/5
There was an unusually loud noise during my last trip and in addition to the inconvenience of the so-called "upgrade" they made, I am considering that I will NEVER book that hotel anymore.
- 3.5/5
My car was hit in the parking lot. It was a hit and run. The security cameras recorded the inciy, but the cameras had such low resolution that the driver and license plate couldn't be seen. The repair to my taillight will cost me a couple hundred dollars.
- 2/5
With 3 kids, having adjoining rooms was helpful. When we arrived and did not have adjoining rooms, the hotel staff was able to provide a no cost upgrade to help is out which was great. However, despite that helpfulness, staff was not readily available when checking in and out. The towels in our room were stained with what looked like rust colored stains. A couple of the pillows also did not seem very clean. The TV in one of the rooms stopped working at one point. The additional lock in one of the rooms was broken and the doors did not seem very secure. I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
My room was beautiful and clean no issues at all would definitely recommend.
- 1/5
They falsely accused us of smoking in our room when we dont even smoke. So our visit that was already reserved was simply not able to even happen meaning i went homeless over him.
- 1/5
Warning: when you check out they open your room door and let it stay open sometimes for hours. We were charged for smoking in our rooms when we dont even smoke. The person in the room beside us would consistently smoke outside. So beware you might get charged for something you literally didnt do. I am now homeless because of his stupid actions. He told me i had the explanation. I told him well you have the cameras. I even made sure our room smelled fine every single day out of paranoia of getting charged for this but the owners are relentless. They may act nice while your there but if he changes his mind he will turn on you with malevolence in mind. So do not ever get a hotel here as your better, cheaper and nicer hotel experience is the super 8 in greencastle. Its just a few miles down the road from it. I had to walk in total 30+ miles trying to find a place to stay after what he did after already having to walk over 24 hours. I literally broke my toe from walking so much to find somewhere. If zero stars was an option, id do that, but i guess one star plus anexplanation works best. But the super 8 is only a couple miles away from days inn and it has such beautifully made rooms compared to days inn.
- 0.5/5
Yes management was horrible treated me like I didn't belong was very upset me and my family
- 3/5
Convenient.
- 2/5
The staff were pleasant but the check in process was tedious because of a language barrier. Deceptive description when booking the room. Queen size bed turned out to be a double. Room was clean but very, very bear bones. Kind of a seedy place but they may be trying to revitalize it. A few permanent residents living in the hotel. Conveniently located to town center but if you can stay somewhere else, do it. You may have to travel a bit though. This is the only place in town. It's affordable but you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
Just a quick stop for the night on my way from vacation. Check in/out was quick and easy. Wifi was good. Room was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
The shower was not working when I wanted to use the night before I left .How can they rent a room to someone when the shower was not working? There was no one in office when we wanted to leave at 8 am so we left a key in room along with a tip for the maid
- 3/5
It’s not easily visible from the busy road it is located on, and getting in and out is tight.
- 4/5
Needs an update but clean. Great price! Staff person at check in was very worried about cats. I heard him telling someone on the telephone that they cannot bring cats and he asked me 3 times if I had any cats, it was very strange. I have never been asked this at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Lol
- 5/5
The property is older, however their rooms are modernized with the comforts of any hotel room. The location is great and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. Parking lot available which was nice to avoid street parking.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The walls are thin so you easily hear outside noise. Fortunately, there was none by the time we went to bed. Breakfast is very simple of cereal or a few bread choices or yogurt. Half the breakfast room was filled with building supplies. They must be remodeling.
- 1/5
At one a m.We heard all this weird noise in the pipes and the bathtub filled with dirty smelly water. It would not drain. The hotel was full and there were no other rooms. But I would imagine everyone had the same problem
- 4/5
The room/bed was comfortable and decently clean. The floor was a little dirty as my feet showed when I stepped in the shower. My 2nd night was interrupted with a large dog barking for more than 1 minute in the middle of the night. Overall, I like this hotel and appreciate the price and location.
- 3/5
Towels need to be bleached clean. Disrespectful other clients. Had to call managers several times.
- 4/5
Hotel is situated on Main Street in a very nice area of town. My room looked recently re-done with flooring and fresh painted walls. Very comfortable bedding with clean sheets. Overall the hotel is old but well kept. No foul oder or aroma of smoking anywhere. Tv and hot water was fine. Ac and heating worked also. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Easy in and out - staff was awesome.
- 5/5
Convenient location, quick checkin, comfortable room, easy parking.
- 5/5
Property is under renovation
- 0.5/5
No one attended breakfast so everything was Gross or empty I will Never stay there again, you should take it off your site. Dead roach on the floor Dirty
- 1/5
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! NOT pet nor human friendly. I booked this online that said pet friendly, but when we arrived we were charged a $20/per dog per night charge! Plus were talked down to by staff about how to treat our dogs and after we left found additional massive charge on my card unauthorized!!!! I’m furious. We were respectful and have two small dogs under 25lbs. The property was disgusting, the curtains were torn and broken, and the “breakfast” was awful and confined to one room, no food allowed outside. An absolute hostile experience. Save your money and go elsewhere.
- 1/5
Total dump and no safe parking
- 5/5
Amazing staff, beautiful rooms, cozy place to stay.
- 3/5
Breakfast was limited and Breakfast room was hot inside
- 5/5
Quiet nice area and clean rooms
- 3/5
Older property, needs to be updated.
- 4/5
Nice place for a quick stay
- 4/5
The main thing i didnt care for is their parking lot and the fact that the sign is not visible from the road there are trees that have over grown the sign
- 3/5
Limited dining on Mondays within easy walking distance.
- 5/5
This is my go to place when traveling to Gettysburg. About half an hour drive, but an easy drive. Will be using again.
- 2/5
This building can definitely use some repairs, our room was so hot when we got in there at 85 degrees, it was a 95 degree day. If you know your gonna rent the room out atleast turn the air on. Holes in the bathroom door, matresses zero comfort, pillows flat, blankets scratchy.
- 1/5
Front desk manager was rude
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Quick professional check in
- 4/5
Decent hotel with a great pub right across the street. Staff are friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great value !
- 2/5
The room was good , some of the towls were stained, im not sure if they have breakfast included ,i seen a breakfast area but they dont tell you about it guess you have to ask, but good hotels service will tell you about the breakfast times at check in time.
- 5/5
The staff are amazing, friendly, and so helpful!
- 5/5
Not only is the hotel itself nice and clean, but the staff are some of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve ever met. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will continue to use them!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Staff was friendly and efficient
- 4/5
Bathroom and bed was clean. For the price I think great value.
- 1.5/5
Parking, one night awakened by hotel staff to move car legally parked, bedding had stains and cigarette holes. Few channels available on the tv. Hotel staff not on site 24/7 . Very basic breakfast. Room still had trash and dirty laundry from last guest.
- 5/5
ok stay, quiet
- 2/5
No vending dirty sheets
- 2/5
My room smelled like cigarette smoke and my door dash delivery driver looked terrified to be there. Was also woken up at 5:30AM by car horns. I could go on and on about how terrible this place is.
- 5/5
I like the staff was friendly and I didn't have to wait long at check in
- 4/5
The staff were very nice and accommodating. Beds seemed clean and were comfortable. It was obvious they cleaned but they certainly didn’t go any extra lengths to clean baseboards, walls, etc. lots of hair and other foreign matter in those areas. I’m staying here for work so it’s not a big deal. This is not a place I would bring my family as part of a getaway stay.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 2/5
The walls were like paper, super thin. There was a huge loud party in a room next to us and it sounded like they were in the same room. No one was available at the front desk to enforce quiet hours. Efforts were made to update the room, but the walls were still dirty.
- 1/5
Dark, dingy, stained towels (all of them). Beer bottle rolled out from under the dresser. Stains on walls and ceiling. Manager not around (of course) so with that said I can't tell you about our stay because we didn't!!!!!!
- 5/5
Very nice family run hotel. They do their best to keep it clean and comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Will be staying here again. Thanks!
- 4/5
Decent room for being a cheap motel. Room seemed to have brand new flooring throughout. Beds were clean and comfortable, and bathroom was very clean. The noise from the stairs our room was right next too was a little annoying but not unbearable.
- 4/5
Price and location to work
- 4/5
It was a great place
- 1/5
I booked a reservation at 230am while in the parking lot at hotel, once confirmed I went Inside to check in and was told if I checked in right then that I would Have to leave at 11am. What the heck????
- 3/5
Clean but outdated
- 4/5
Clean room, clean/fresh bedding, clean folded towels. Decent enough water pressure. Clean bathroom. Seemed pretty quiet, too. Working tv and remote. I never used their phone so I can't comment on that. I turned up the thermostat for comfort- no issues. One thing I will note is that the parking looks really tight throughout the interior ("courtyard"). It doesn't look like full size trucks fit in their spots without going over the lines, and I'm not sure if full size car folks had any issues the next morning. That made me a little nervous, as it was really filled up, along with being tight, so I was hoping folks would be careful getting in their vehicles and leaving so I didn't have any door dings or anything. In the end, everything was fine. Be well readers, and happy travels.
- 4/5
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Check in was easy.
- 4/5
The room was found to be very clean, with some newer upgrades. Staff was very heloful and friendly. Check in/out was a breeze.
- 1/5
We checked in and checked right back out. There was what appeared to be a bullet hole in the wall. Everything is old. Has a smell. Pictures do not match what you get
- 5/5
Everything was great clean and nice
- 4/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Check-in was quick and easy, the stay was pleasant. Check out was a little confusing , but overall would come back again.
- 5/5
it was very clean and soft bed.
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
I was disappointed that there is no pool. The previous Days Inn was centrally located and had a nice pool. With this Day’s Inn we had to walk a mile to get downtown.
- 3/5
It was what we expected for the price. Absolutely nothing special, and a little tired, but most importantly it is clean and the bed was comfortable.
- 1/5
There was old food left in the drawers. The staff is not there overnight, so forget it if you get locked out of your room. They aren’t going to be able to help you until around 6am when they get their TERRIBLE breakfast ready. The window in my room was cracked and when the door slammed it broke and I was made to pay for it. It was not even my fault! Never staying here again.
- 5/5
We were very disappointed with the breakfast. It was almost non-existent. Also, I asked for a spare pillow (we only had three for the two of us) and I was told they didn't have any. The parking spaces were very narrow.
- 2/5
Nothing, the place was extremely dirty, curtains were torn, base board was dirty and nasty….
- 4/5
Think Motel 6 with shampoo. A little tight with the reading lamp and table. The hotel management was very polite and eager to accommodate. Breakfast was well stocked. Though I'm not sure thought was given to the fact that you can't microwave styrofoam.
- 1/5
My state was entertaining, but in a frightening sort of way. The gentleman at the front desk had never even heard of a service dog. The fact that I had one with me was nothing more than an irritation and frustration for him. He was kind enough to let me know that they do not let dogs in hotels where he’s from. My adventure continued from there up to my room number. For some unknown reason all of the wall outlets did their best to forcefully eject anything that was put into them such as a standard plug connection. the fact that I had to get up four times to plug my phone back in while it was charging was humorous. The fact that they had too many items connected to the same outlet was again a little disturbing. When you have a choice between having a refrigerator running have a microwave running TV running or the twin outlets for cable where did where do you begin when there’s only two outlets. The frightening part came after I went to bed and the OSHA, wonderfully uncomfortable and fairly frightening condition of the bed. The next morning I woke jolly and happy and 0630 hrs. I then discovered the finest part of the entire adventure. A flaming rash, all over my chest belly and down with my shot. if you decide to stay here, bring a sense of humor, a bottle of tequila, and a biohazard suit I have the belief that the entire structure should be revamped and used as a training facility for Biohazard and contagion resolution
- 4/5
Very good for the price. A little hard to find.
- 2/5
Baseboards were not clean, handles falling off dressers, etc. Bathroom fan was super noisy, tub was clogged. Not a great experience even for a good nightly rate
- 3/5
The ceiling in the bathroom was stained and about to fall. Only 1 cup for coffee. Bed smelled. Bed spread was dirty. Floor had not been mopped. Walking across floor made my socks black.
- 4/5
Due to an uncle's unexpected death we had to get to Gettysburg in a hurry and needed a place to stay. Because this was move-in week for several colleges in the area this motel was the closest we could get to Gettysburg. Room was dated but reasonable and clean.

Put up the do not disturb sign and they still entered the room Don¿t recommend staying there on a Saturday night because they have rude guest that stay up all night and party outside your door

We were unable to stay at the hotel. It is not in a good area and there was not ample parking for my vehicle. The hotel was unable to provide any viable parking alternatives. Had we known parking was an issue, we would have never booked here.

Yes. Being woken up before 6 am on a Sunday morning; by the room below! The hotel was using the room?...and I think the hotel were carting breakfast items across the lobby area parking lot to the Breakfast Nook eating area!

Room reeked of weed and old smoke. I had to buy Frebreeze spray and candles which only helped somewhat.
