The bed was comfortable. There is no breakfast. You basically get a bed and bathroom for an exorbitant amount of money. There was no closet to hang clothes, no coffee maker, no tea kettle, no hair blow dryer. Why did I pay so much for so little?

It's centrally located to a variety of places to eat and shop, and close to HWY1. If you want to live out of your suitcase. The 3 drawers they have for you are the size of a desk drawer, and the small one is. If you do not watch TV, you are in luck. Only cable channels work. The cheap ones nothing major or movies. The picture is misleading. It shows better than what it is. I hope you are not taller than 5',4". Because you need to bend down to see your head in the bathroom mirror.

The staff are always nice, friendly and accommodating. I stay here when I’m in town at least every other month. Some of the rooms, the bed isn’t the most comfortable but some of the beds like the one I nose recently experienced were great. Always a pleasure.

Only thing i could possibly say is it was a good stay but im fairly sure someone tried to break into the room at some point after me checking in and before i checked out, when i checked in i looked out the window and when i got up to get ready i was going to crack the window and noticed that someone had tried to pull the screen from the outside

What is shown in the pictures is not what you get. Room smells, is dirty, and there were cigarette burn holes in the bedding. The area is not to great either. Would not stay here again.
- 1/5
The hotel was noisy. The floor of the room was filthy, and the bedding smelt musty.
- 2/5
Decently nice room and furniture for the price, free wifi and parking Ac filter has never been cleaned before, no iron/ironing board, shower towels were made for the 7 dwarves, toilet paper roll holder is installed 6 feet from the shower, shower missing an interior curtain, door to room felt flimsy, tv setup SEVERELY outdated (you can get a small smart tv for $100 :/)
- 1/5
There was not soap or anything we requested to the front desk they said someone was going to come and clean and supply the soap but not one ever came to clean or suppled it anything Worse experience ever !!!! Worse customer service.
- 2/5
Was a very dirty room with hairballs on the bathroom floor. There was only like 10 parking spots that were taken so i had to park offsite on street where there was homeless people hanging out. Would never stay there again!

Nice little motel. Clean

Was a peaceful night, it’s cheap for me because I’m homeless. I would recommend:)

Showed up a bit early and tried to check in. Wouldn't let me check in early which I understand but then offered to let me check in early for $100. I waited and when I finally was able to check in the room was a disgusting. Used condoms all over the bed beer bottles and cans everywhere.i asked for a refund but they refused. Then they made me wait and told me they would get me another room. I paid for a king size bed and ended up getting a room with a full size bed. I'm usually pretty understanding but this was the worst experience I've ever had. Made me wait after check in time and then downgraded me without offering a discount or refund.

Did not feel safe. On our first stay, there was a scuffle and shouting next door in the middle of the night that lasted for a long time. We gave this place another chance. On our second stay, a car alarm went off in the middle of the night and the police made an appearance. But their questions were not about the attempted car break-in but of another nature. We will not be returning.
- 4/5
We would like to suggest having a place to hang our clothes.. We plan to stay again at Valley Inn.

Would be really awesome if had in room coffee maker! Have stayed 2 years in a row and will stay again when down there for event

Good location. Comfortable room.
- 2/5
Very close to shopping center with restaurants. Wasn’t as clean as it should be. Smelled like old water.
- 5/5
Rooms where very cleaned and smelled clean. There is a drinks vending machine as well as ice machine. Depending on your room you also get a refrigerator and microwave in your room. It was a great experience. Also very quiet place. Enjoyed my stay.

The restaurant on the same property is incredible 'The Fish House'...

The staff barely spoke, and most of the interactions were done through gestures. The room was super clean, and the bed was comfy. Great for the price.

When we arrived and entered our room I opened the refrigerator and discovered alot of old rotting food that had been fermenting for about a week with a terrible smell. It filled the room with this rotting smell. The hotel was full so we could not change rooms. Even after it was cleaned up they sprayed some air freshner that made for another unpleasant smell that we had to endure for the night. With the window open all night and the road noises coming into the room it made for a poor, poor nights sleep.
- 2/5
Parking was difficult. No closet or anywhere to hang clothes. Bare minimum room. Door would not lock from the inside. Won’t be staying there next year.
- 5/5
The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. Overall, it was a pleasant stay
- 1/5
Obvious damage inside the room, missing mirror above bath sink, odd layout with sub par work throughout. Dated.
- 3/5
No blow dryer and no coffee machine no phones it kind of hard to find a parking space
- 4/5
AC worked amazingly well
- 1/5
Do not recommend this place
- 2/5
It smelled old, the bathroom door is stained, there was only about a quarter roll of toilet paper. Very expensive for what they offer. almost $250.00 for one night. no pool, and no breakfast.
- 5/5
Everything good
- 2/5
The customer service was horrible and the lady was not nice and extremly rude.
- 4/5
In a nice, convenient area, & the guy who checked us in was nice. There are no closets, or hair dryer, but there was a nice size fridge and a microwave.
- 2/5
Service was not great front desk person was not friendly very disappointed and for the price i pay was a horrible place to stay at never again will i be booking there!!
- 4/5
It was relatively inexpensive for a Friday night reservation and close to needed things. There was a grocery outlet, starbucks and downtown was very close to go out to eat. The beds where not as comfortable as a Hampton Inn, but they were very comfortable and I slept well. It is a budget hotel, so keep that in mind. But like I said it was what we needed and worked out great. The only reasons I took off a star in the rating of this property was the owner/worker was not very friendly...I was able to give him a boost of a smile. But it would have felt much better arriving to a warm and friendly face happy to see guests arrive. And I recommend they decorate the main office a little more to give it some warmth as well.
- 3/5
Room key didn’t work for two nights kept defaulting no cups in the room to take your pills at night they kept turning off the heater and then my last night it wouldn’t even turn back on so I froze to death second day didn’t come in to empty out the trashes but on my last day they started already cleaning as if I wasn’t there anymore not very organized I will not stay there again
- 1/5
Very little parking No coffee maker No iron and iron in board No phone to contact friend office Just a terrible place to visit, Will not return Or recommend
- 4/5
The sign at the check in counter said that a $100 cash deposit was necessary, but nothing was asked for (neither a cash nor credit deposit, but that could be because I used a major credit card). Room looked nice, but the mattress didn't fit exactly on the platform it was placed on so the edges were floppy. The floor didn't have carpeting so that was a plus. The shower diverter was stuck on the shower position, and the bathtub plug was one that screwed up or down to unplug or plug the drain, but it wasn't working so the tub filled up with water during my shower.
- 2/5
Room with hard king size bed, two nightstands but NO LAMPS! Two people - one chair! No iron or ironing board, no hair dryer, no coffee, and the tv remote didn’t work… someone put the batteries in backwards so it obviously hadn’t been checked… Go elsewhere! I have stayed in hundreds of motels and never had this experience at half the price!
- 2/5
Very noisy and Neglected property
- 1/5
This is a horrible hotel. To make matters worse hotels.com overcharged for it - price offered was 3x the rate available on site or from within the USA. Zero hospitality from staff. Nasty furniture. Bed makes a sheet metal booming sound when you lie down. TV didn’t work. Horrible depressing decor. Hotels.com should be ashamed for ripping off its customers
- 3/5
Staff person checking us in was unfriendly and uncommunicative. Bathroom door and tub are dirty.
- 3/5
I had a king sized bed and the room was pretty large. The only thing was the service was not as good.
- 2/5
No door weather strip, I stayed 1st floor so air and dust straight from the street and bugs from the restaurant in front of the hotel went straight in my room. Walls were filthy, not sure what those brown stuff could be dried vomit or dried poop! It’s non-refundable so I couldn’t cancel my second day stay. So when I came back they straightened up my linens and gave me fresh towels but floor never cleaned I can still see my black hair all over the floor in the tub and bathroom. Thank goodness I brought my own air mattress/sheets/pillows/towels.
- 3/5
The rooms weren't necessarily dirty, but they were not kept up. There were scuffs on the doors and paint on the light switches from when they last painted the walls.
- 5/5
but the important things a good shower, good toilet, good heater, good king sized bed, large refrigerator, microwave, and good large screen tv were in excellent condition so I was content!

There was trash left in the refrigerator there was crack heads roaming around blood on bathroom door. If we wernt so tired we would have left
- 1/5
Hotel policies are ridiculous.
- 4/5
rooms look better upstairs than before.
- 3/5
It was alright I just didn't like that they came yelling knocking that it was time to leave
- 5/5
I liked the hardwood floors, king sized bed, the fridge and microwave and large screen TV, and that there were electrical outlets on each side of the bed, so we could plug in our phones while relaxing and using them. The room temperature was very comfortable the entire time. Only downside was that the plug on my side of the bed didn't work well--my adaptor didn't stay securely in that plug, but did stay well in the plug on the opposite side of the bed. Fortunately I have a long cord (This is in room 211). It was also very convenient that there is a breakfast place right behind the hotel, and a grocery on the next block.

- 2/5
No coffee in the room or at the desk. No place to hang clothes, no chairs, hair in the sink. Old cigarette burns on the tub. Dirty corners between the floor and the wall. I don't want anyone to get in trouble for the condition but it was not worth the amount I paid.

This place is the worst management sucks

I was very pleased with my whole stay experience. I will definitely be back every time im working the Santa Cruz area.

- 2/5
Dressers were broken down and home was dirty.

We were able to book last minute as this was one of two hotels left in the area. When we first got the attendant was rather rude in letting me know that he needed my ID. The room its self was clean and the bed was comfortable.

- 1/5
Horrible staff, unfortunately stuck there for business. The owners are prejudice and will cheat you out of expenses particularly your deposit and will not provide a receipt.
- 3/5
The room was fairly decent. The fridge and microwave were appreciated - everything was in good working order. The parking lot was extremely small and the outside of the inn was "just ok".
- 1/5
Unfriendly staff, unable to contact office via phone (must go to the office directly) and overwhelming air freshener in the room.
- 2/5
The furniture was old and torn up. BUT the bed was okay, I do recommend maybe some better pillows but over all if you need a roof over your head and don't care this is the place to go. Although I should have done more research. I will not be staying here again.
- 2/5
The front desk person was rude.
- 2/5
No one answered the ring bell at the office around midnight. Very disappointed! Will stay somewhere else next time.

- 3/5
Good for an overnight stay, checked in very late but had a gentleman assist and quick check in. Definitely the price I paid matched was a good deal considering we only stayed 8 hours.
- 3/5
We had to tap many times on the plexiglass to get checked in, we came about 7pm. Hard to get the attendant's attention. The room was clean and orderly but no way to make coffee. Noisy in the night. The one great thing was the fish restaurant in the parking lot.
- 3/5
It was close to stores if we needed anything. But the room was really dirty.
- 3/5
Not enough parking. Like an overpriced motel 6.
- 1/5
Horrible place
- 2/5
The front desk service was quick and easy. However, the cleanliness of the room was awful. There were flakes of marijuana and trash in one of the dresser drawers. When I woke up in the middle of the night to get out of bed, my hand touched the headboard and I felt some sort of sticky and greasy liquid touch my hand, it was rather gross! With the pandemic and COVID going on right now, I would think cleaning/sanitation standards would be a little higher. I know this is a cheap motel, but that doesn’t mean the cleaning standards should be sub-standard because of the price. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone (or myself) caught something from staying there! The location of the motel is next to a Grocery Outlet, but the motel itself did not look safe at night— just a lot of unusual people pass by, but the parking lot is well-lit— although, parking on site is limited and if you park on the street, you’re not very protected. On another note, there was a fridge, microwave, and TV— and all those worked fine. Not sure if I’d stay there again, though.
- 1/5
Our stay was HORRIBLE. This hotel should be closed down. It was falling apart. Broken furniture, patched holes in the wall. Disgusting stench and area was sketchy. When I tried to talk to them about getting a refund I was verbally assaulted, the woman screaming NO REFUNDS! there was no offer to help in any way. It’s a bait and switch from the nice pictures on their site. We had to leave and find another hotel. I will not be paying the Valley Inn.. I’ll put a stop payment on my credit card if need be. Ban this place!
- 2/5
Hotel had no remote to TV and the room smelled like cigarettes. The room was not freshened up till 8pm. so disappointed.

- 5/5
Excellent stay. Not sure why it has low ratings.
- 2/5
Not enough parking. Shower handle was not attached in room. Tv cabinet had a door missing.
- 3/5
Staff was nice, floors were dirty, mold in the bathroom. Very expensive for the quality
- 4/5
room was clean
- 4/5
I booked this hotel for my visit to Watsonville only because it was the cheapest option. We paid $435 for a Friday and Saturday night stay. There's hotels in Las Vegas that you can get for less! I am not sure why the hotels in Watsonville are so expensive! The room was clean, but the towels had an unpleasant smell to them. The shower had a flat surface parallel to the restroom floor, therefore the water would always get out of the shower area. You could also get the cigarrete smoke coming into the air vent in the restroom from other rooms. We had a non-smoking room, so this was very unpleasant. The parking lot was shared with a fish house restaurant, so it was very crowded! There was not a lot of parking options, also due to the fact that there is a brunch place next door, and the sidewalk parking spaces were always taken. Definitely would not recommend. I learned my lesson, that the cheaper price is not always the best deal!
- 2/5
Horrible experience!! Female staff member VERY unfriendly and VERY rude. Disorganized by far.
- 2/5
The hotel lady was rude. Went to take a shower and the handle fell off in my hands. No plug for the bath tub. No chair in the room. There was NO PARKING. I will never stay here again!
