    This place has gone downhill, I used to stay here and won’t go back after this stay. The entire hotel is run down, dirty and overall in need of attention.Our curtains in our room were tattered and torn. The sheets on the bed looked like somebody napped on them. I went into our first room and it smelled so bad, I asked for this room which was a mess.

    Over all the staff were helpful and were really nice. The room was nice until I took my shoes off for the shower and it was dirty. When I took a shower, turned on the water it was warm and at one point it went cold. The shower head was wonky, It was white and cheap looking and was spraying to the right which I couldn’t turn to the middle where I stood.

    Great location. Close enough to our favorite spots in Aptos but far enough from the crowds that it was affordable. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was light but plentiful. Love the waffle making station! Our sheets had a hole in them. The bathroom was a bit run down with bolts missing off the toilet seat and lots of chipped paint. The room felt clean but the bathroom needed some work.

    The breakfast was great and the staff is really helpful and nice . It’s not to far from everything. It’s a pretty run down inside and could use some updates. The bed was clean and the bathroom was clean but the floors were badly stained all throughout the hotel including the room.

    The manager/owner was very rude and unprofessional. We had booked to stay there 2 nights. The morning after the first night around 8am the entire motel had a power outage. We were told that the power will not be restored maybe all day. I have asthma couldn’t use my nebulizer anymore, no hot shower, no way to charge our phones etc so we asked if we could checkout since its before 11am and get a refund issued for the night we hadn’t used. The manager/owner said it’s not my fault the power went out. Luckily hotels.com issued us a refund and us a stay in carmel by the sea 100x better stay

    was OK "night light" over sink would not turn off. Blueish light kept me up most of the night as it felt like "dawn." Hotel staff couldn't turn it off either, and said all rooms have it. Great idea, but bad execution! Road noise on our side of hotel was aweful. $200+ for a sleepless night. Hotel staff behind bullet-proof glass made if feel like a dangerous place. Is it?

    This place is nice, its super close to everything in town. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they even made some more eggs and sausage for us nearing the end of breakfast service. They gave extra towels when asked too! If anything bad the bed was a little hard and the sheets were a little stained but we know how hard it can be to remove stains.

    The room had gum on the wall right next to the crooked mounted TV. There were huge stains on the curtains, the leisure chair had some kind of disgusting debri under the cushion, and the updating/painting you would do to a room for normal wear and tear was done by someone with zero carpentry skills. But, the ABSOLUTE WORST thing was the refrigerator. It was frosted over at the top with what looked like black mold and some kind of growth. I brought this to the attention of the kid on duty late night and he offered another room which wasn't much better. He suggested I speak to the manager the following morning. I did, after I already secured a room at a different Hotel. The manger refunded half of my two day booking, but in hindsight, I think the whole booking should have been refunded. I am going to be looking into that.

    The bath tub was clogged. Water past my ankles while taking a shower. There were kids running a marathon on the third floor right above my room. There was a lamp on the floor not sure why but it should have probably been on a table. The people who helped me were very helpful and nice bur the property itself needs some updates especially for tge price it was about $280 and very uncomfortable

    The breakfast was great compared to other hotels, which don't have protein/hot food . Staff were respectful and always made sure breakfast was full. Very good location, close to both Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz mountains and monterey. one thing that needs a fixing is the hole in the shower and the black having a black stain that was hidden in the bottom of the bed. Would be a lot nicer if a pool facility was added

    We had a quick family trip. Stayed two nights. The room spelled like mold. Couldn’t find where the smell was coming from. Finally I saw it was on a lamp shade. The bed was hard and the pillows were lumpy. The lobby was very clean. The elevator not so clean. Overall wont be staying here again.

    Bad experience, house keeping came to clean the room and left the door open all day, anyone can walk into the room, didn’t feel safe afterwards. Elevator not working, phone on my room wasn’t connected to report the issue, spoke to the Manager and he try to resolve the situation, offered 10% back, and re-training his crew.

    The folks who work here are very nice. Our initial room smelled very strongly like cigarettes and they quickly moved us to a suite. The mattresses don’t have liners and just have a fitted sheet on top, making it easy to see stains on them. The curtains had mysterious stains (soda probably) and in general it all looks a little old. The floors were clean, the counters were as well, but it is generally just a little run down looking. Breakfast isn’t much either. Again though, the folks who work here were super helpful and friendly.

    There was a notice in the lobby to say that the fire sprinklers were not operable and I noticed the elevator inspection was eight months expired. Aside from the safety concerns the hotel was very unclean. It was just a depressing place to be.

    The property is old. The room we booked was not as described, so they did put us in a different room. We stayed 3 nights, and every night our room key did not work and had to be re-programmed. Breakfast consisted of microwaved sausage patties and eggs, cereal but on days, there was no milk, and no fresh fruit ( I asked, and they said there wouldn't be any) Your 'safe' food was yogurt and mini muffins, and if you were lucky waffles, if there was any batter left. They did not restock. If I was to stay in the area again, I would pass by this property; it's not a good fit for us.

    Awful. The pillows and towels had stains. The water gathered in a pool inside the bathroom. It was gross and didn't feel safe. I had booked 3 nights, canceled and they said they'd charge me $50 to cancel. Instead they charge me 3 nights and a $50 cancel fee.

    The second room the cable plug had been ripped out of the tv and the front of the tv had a crack in it. Needless to say it didn't work. The iron was missing. They made the bed but didn't replace the toiletries.

    Carpet was dirty, bed was worn out and hard/extremely uncomfortable. Nine of the ten Cinemax Stations either had no audio or were in Spanish. Free breakfast was pathetic at best. Didn’t eat any of it…Coffee machine looks like it has never been cleaned. The coffee was not drinkable, tasted burnt and old/dirty. However the water pressure ( shower ) and temperature were good and the lighting in the bathroom was adequate.

    This place was adequate nothing to write home about but sometimes that's not a bad thing. I did talk to some other guests that have stayed there in the past that said it use to be a lot nicer and that's why they choose to stay there this time. Didn't sound like it was meeting there expectation anymore. It did take a little long to go back and forth to are points of interest because of traffic so probably won't stay there if we go back just because of that.

    Upon arrival, I was not greeted—by JAY, the front desk, and also the manager. He was incredibly rude and dismissive, failing to offer even basic courtesies. His attitude was appalling, and he seemed completely uninterested in addressing any of my questions. The room was a nightmare. It was poorly cleaned, with hair in the shower and dust all over the air conditioning unit. The showerhead was broken, causing water to splash everywhere, making it nearly impossible to use. To make matters worse, I found a used condom wrapper by the bedside and under the bed. The overall cleanliness and maintenance were utterly unacceptable. Adding to the horror, there was a dead rat on the property grounds, which was disgusting and a clear health hazard. When I approached JAY to cancel one of the nights due to these numerous issues, he was unhelpful and dismissive. He refused to clean the bathroom, fix the shower, or address any of my concerns. His complete lack of customer service skills was astonishing. Based on this horrendous experience, I strongly advise against staying at Comfort Inn Watsonville, CA.

    We had a 3-day reservation and the lobby was closed and locked when we arrived at 9:45. The advertised closing time was 11 PM. It took 45 minutes to get into a room, which was not our reserved room. The next morning the front desk was closed until mid-morning. We decided to check out and find a better hotel. The hotel charged our credit card for three nights instead of one. I called to get the charge corrected when it appeared on my credit card transaction list but the hotel refused to correct the charge. I had to dispute the charge with Visa to get this charge corrected.

    Dirty Tub. No plug. No creamer for the coffee. Rude person at front desk. People knew that rooms were not ready and just wanted to check in and they were turned away. I almost left becuase the hotel was such a pit.

    Interesting stay, hotel lobby was clean, smelled strong of discount store cleaner, keys continued to stop working in the 2 days we stayed, nobody at the counter to help, phone number and ring bell for service notes plastered on the security window, nobody answered to either phone # listed or the sound of the bell but you can hear the TV behind the wall and people back there talking. Strong language barrier made it hard to communicate small things like “do you have a don’t disturb sign?” Stared at me as I repeated myself over 2-3times. Anyways, last minute to sleep in and get up & leave type of place

    The breakfast? WHAT BREAKFAST? There was sausage patties, eggs, stale bread, cereal but no milk, a waffle maker but no syrup, coffee with a crusty spout, and yogurt. also had to play plumber was my toilet kept breaking and not flushing. Not just plunging, folks, I had to take off the top and reconnect the chain multiple times. So many times that I just left the top off at one point. This has been one of the worst experiences at a hotel I’ve ever had. Extremely disappointed and will definitely not be staying here again. Not to mention there was hardly ever anyone behind the front desk & the girl that was, wore PJs half the time.

    This place has really gone down hill. When we checked in, we asked for extra towels. We were told that we have to wait for the house keeper to come the next day…at 10am. The deadbolt to our room didn’t fully engage and the secondary security flap was simply screwed to the door frame with 2 wood screws. No sense of security at all. There was no table in the room, just a table lamp on the floor in the corner. The power outlets and lights next to the bed were rigged to work but they were not installed correctly as one of them rotated and the spotlight flickered. There was an uncovered power outlet up high on the wall that looked horrible and the window screen was ill fitting and didn’t provide a good seal to prevent bugs from coming in. In top of everything, the AC hardly blew any air and the air it did blow was cool at best, not like AC should be. Overall, it was the worst room we have ever stayed in and we will not be coming back again. And this is from a family that has stayed here 3-4 times in previous years. Really bad! Room 205 is to be avoided.

    This is a great deal in an area where reasonably priced hotels are hard to find. Super convenient to Watsonville WVI airport, short walk to decent food (Chinese, Mexican, pizza, Starbucks) groceries, and amenities. Great location for pilots/air travelers using WVI and needing a basic layover (me). Not fancy for sure, and it’s a little worn, but clean, fairly quiet, hosts are friendly, and the price is right.

    Last minute stay room was ok corridors could us cleaning. The coffee machine still had old coffee filter from previous customers. The charging ports for your phone did not work. The breakfast eggs looked like cooked yesterday, the fruit drink served warm juice and was not working properly as the orange juice came out thick as the water to dispense was not working.

    As soon as check in you can notice that the hotel is kept clean, but not very homey. The owners of the hotel seemed to want to get you in & out. Didnt get catch breakfast, but only the door in the lobby work. So bringing in all luggage was a long walk & hassle. They tied the lobby doors shut at night so im assuming its a bad area.

    Given a room that wasn’t really clean, horrible stains on the curtains, stains on the bedding. Started a shower and shower head was not really functional but it was late so I continued. Tub would not drain, water was ankle deep the next morning. I asked and was given a different room which was functional but not well kept either. The most disturbing part of the stay was everything was shut down around 9:00 pm and a sign up saying “We be back”, doors were blocked with a luggage cart and a power cable wrapped around the entry doors. There was one other car in the parking lot I assume was another guest but no signs explaining who or how to contact someone of there was a problem of any kind. Nobody there and nobody cared either. We have stayed at the facility at least 8 times and never had this kind of experience, we don’t intend on giving this place ever a 9th visit, there are many other choices and we will go there.

    We were the only visitors there. Pretty sure this was living quarters for a lot of families. Not that that's a bad thing but people kept coming in and out all night. The front door was locked with an extension cord. The bed was very bouncy and you could feel every spring. Most lights didn't work or had to be screwed in to work. The smell was clean but very fragrant it was nauseous. We were going to spend two nights but checked out at 5am the next morning because it was just too much. Would not recommend.

    The staff was extremely rude. We rang the bell and called multiple times and nothing. Thankfully we had a friend who stayed was staying here and already checked in let us inside. I had to bang on the staff door just to get someone up front. Then he cared more about the fact that we woke him up vs helping us check in our room. He then said they canceled our reservation and that I should consider myself lucky I can still stay there. We finally get to our room. The shower has no water pressure and the AC will not stay running. Never again will I stay here. Also they do not serve breakfast

    I was checked in a room with AC that did not work. The manager changed a room for me very quickly. But the new room had very dirty pillow case and towels. The manager was willing to find replacement, but he struggled to find clean ones from the laundry room. I wonder if the hotel just recently changed ownership or something that they are still figuring out how to run a hotel properly. There were people hanging out on the parking lot not sure what they were doing. The hotel has strong detergent smell in the hall way.

    Property is a bit run down and could use some updating. Our room door could not close to use the dead bolt lock. The staff was very friendly.
