Big room with pull out couch and kitchenette. Breakfast was great with lots of options including eggs, biscuits and gravy, French toast sticks and yogurt parfait station. Beautiful little hotel with nice grounds and clean heated pool with hot tub.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was clean, beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious lots to choose from. We were happy with our stay.

Overall the hotel is good, location not so much. Great breakfast variety. Beds comfortable, only complaint was that the neighbors had a loud party well past 1am and we had to call it in because the noise level was unbearable, we had little kids struggling to sleep.

The staff was excellent, friendly, professional and very kind-hearted. We definitely plan to come back.

Everything was great, loved the coffee machine in the lobby and the cookies, breaksfast was nice. Just didnt like the pool wasnt cleaned the first two days, until the third. Everyone was nice, will stay here again.

Breakfast featured many different options, including hot choices. Fresh cookies in lobby were a plus! Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful room, beautiful well maintained property. Had some issues regarding a BW gift card, but the manager came from out back and fixed things. Always a pleasant stay when traveling for family visits.

Pool definitely not clean quite a bit of debris the hot tub couldn’t tell with the bubbling but everything else was good no complaints

The breakfast was great. They kept it full and fresh with lots of nice touches like fresh berries and a wide selection of herbal teas. They had a laundry room and they provided free soap. It was a nice place to stay.

Very pleased with the hotel overall. They were very accommodating, friendly and the rooms were nice. Only downside was parking was very limited and extremely tight for trucks. Only after our last night did we learn there was a second parking lot, accessed from a different street. Never saw it so can’t comment on that. Definitely plan to return here next year.

The AC didn’t work great and shutters don’t keep the light out when people walk in hall the lights go on and it wakes people up not cool the shutters are pretty but need some blinds too

It was conveniently close to where we needed tobe for 2 days. Spent just 1 overnight to rest. I say for the price we could have gotten more for the money. Room was clean, bed well made, but the shower and toilet room was tight. I like the old spanish motiff of the room and hotel itself.

We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. We chose a room with a kitchen but all the plates and silverware were paper/plastic from the breakfast room. Bring your own knives as there are none but the plastic ones. Parking in the main lot is limited so get back to your room early. The second lot is narrow and longer cars may have trouble fitting in a spot.

The furnishings and stocked kitchen. The bed &bedding was comfortable The sofa bed was comfortable. Pool was clean and heated pool . Hot tub is nice after a day! They gave us extra towels and cleaned our room well. The flowers around the hotel are beautiful and the breakfast was good. Would have liked pancakes and waffles instead of just French toast sticks. The coffee in the room wasn’t good. Also the machine coffee isn’t too great as before when they had fresh coffee. Parking/ lot is tricky when full. We loved our stay and hope to come again.

It is located near a local road, and the traffic is not busy. However, the soundproofing was poor—I felt as if there were no walls at all. It was very noisy.

The one thing I would recommend is to have good drinking water in all the rooms. The water from the faucet tasted terrible.

Parking is limited. Amenities were great. Somehow bhg made it into the bathroom (a big spider and wasp/bee).Once during my bath the other in following morning of my first day. I really loved this hotel. Older hotel, but very well cared for. The rooms were very nice and roomy. Bed was comfortable. The cookies in the lobby are a nice touch! The only slightly negative comment is that there is no elevator...not a problem for me. The parking was very limited. Close to so many things in the Monterey Bay area. Will stay here again.

It’s on a busy street and you hear traffic all night long. Homeless camp two blocks away from the motel. The building and room were clean.

I didn’t like that there was a smoking area near my hotel room and a dog relief area too. Too many smells.

Perfect location

For some reason the manager was not working and when arrived they said I could not book a room there no one to talk to so they let me stay but very unprofessional.

We stayed at three different hotels while we visited California and we chose the Rose Garden Inn because of its proximity to Monterey, Big Sur, Big Basin Redwood Park, and Santa Cruz. We were not disappointed and it was honestly the best of the three. Gas in this area was relatively inexpensive and it was very easy to get things that we needed nearby at Target. The room was outstanding and the breakfast in the morning was good. It’s a great place to be in the middle of a lot of things in the Monterey Bay area.

Next time we will booking for sure the same place

The heater wasn’t working for two nights and days and it was cold. I went several times to the front desk. The young girls at the desk were friendly, but didn’t know anything, no one to call, no back up space heater, no other room (it was sold out) and no extra blankets. On day 3 the heater was fixed and the manager, Ashley, was in. I put in a request with her for a half refund on the two nights/days without heater. She was very unfriendly, not service oriented and it was clear I was annoying her with my request and arguments for a half refund, after all, the issue was now fixed therefore all was solved. After discussing and arguing, she gave me 15% off. I was dissatisfied with that, not enough for not sleeping well two nights due to cold. Several arguments and days later, she gave me 30% off. I can understand things break, but then being very unfriendly in making things right is bad customer service. I won’t stay there again.

No information about the pet fee, I had stay at this place before and I always take my dog and this is the first time I was told about. Expedia doesn’t have this info when booking

Our room was located over a very loud arterial. Loud exhaust cars and emergency vehicles. Place was clean but couldn't sleep well.

The only complaint is there wasn’t adequate parking for all the guests.

Our room was not clean. There was hair all over the sink. Whoever stayed there before us shaved and was not cleaned properly. It’s on a very busy street so it’s very noise at night. Staff was nice but I would not stay again.
