Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their exceptional service and friendliness. However, the hotel's destination fee, which is often not disclosed at the time of booking, is a major point of contention for many guests. The hotel's location is generally well-liked, but some guests find it noisy.
- Exceptional service from staff
- Convenient location
- Unexpected destination fee
- Noise levels, particularly from the street and in the morning

Very nice staff who were open to helping everyone and because UFC Freedom 250 and NBA Finals were happening there was a very nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.

This was the worst experience ever this message is not a reflection of the manager Bria in the restaurant. She is a sweetheart and took her time to explain the charges. My issue is the front desk clerk. He talked down to me and had a smug attitude. Consistently cutting me off as I spoke. I asked to speak to a mrg but a gentleman Raul came out and didn’t explain the situation any better. I feel like a company should stand on the word of employees and learn how to listen verses stating policy. I will never stay here again.

The hotel has a fantastic location, close to all the main attractions and places worth visiting. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The parking was incredibly expensive around $70 per night. Unfortunately, the staff at the lobby told us that all nearby parking garages had similar prices, so we believed them and parked at the hotel for the first night. However, you can easily find parking options within a 10-minute walk from the hotel for around $15–20 per night. Don’t fall into the hotel’s parking trap.

The room was great. The location was great. The staff was very kind but… Do not order breakfast from four room service. It cost me $45 and I could not eat it. It was so poorly prepared and half the order was incorrect. It also was delivered in a bag. I guess the days of getting room service on a tray are gone. Did I mention it was also half cold?
- 5/5
Cleanliness, helpful staff, location Charges on delivered packages. Seem like an adhoc measure

Room was clean and the bed was super comfy. The restaurant downstairs had good food and atmosphere. Gym was decent with some newer machines and some weights. In a good part of DC.
- 4/5
Staff was v friendly, and the location was excellent but unfortunately there was a very bad smell like sewage in our room during our stay which was not ideal.

No Valet. Upon checking in, the lady did not check to see that parking was included in my rate on hotels.com. Once I showed her that parking was indeed included, she hesitated to apply the credit to my bill. Thankfully, the manager acknowledged my parking credit.

The staff was nice, and well located. Good hotel. I would go black happily. Good valué.

Let me start with the Pros - the Lounge. By far the shining star of the stay. excellent breakfast/coffee options. staff was lovely but a bit slow to clear tables and space was needed Secondly, the bed was amazingly comfortable. Cons - check in was a mess. I confirmed that we were using the pull out bed but when we arrived (after 11pm) no bedding was provided and when I called down they kept saying "we are working on it" It took 4 phone calls and showing up in person - was told there were 5 requests ahead of me - to get bedding delivered 75 min later by a security guard. One night there was literal dog feces on the floor in front of the lounge door. 2 piles. No one noticed. I had to let them know. It was unbelievably loud. So many sirens at all hours and we were on a high floor. I ended up moving hotels mid visit and that hotel at least recognized the loudness and provided white noise machines and ear plugs. See attached photo of sign in elevator that was as seen for the several many days we were there. Probably still like that. Get a sharpie and fix it or take it down. (its supposed to say room key) I can't stand the way that the pricing is shown on ones bill wildly varying by day for the exact same space. Please stop that. Its not like room gets hundreds of dollars better by night. Won't go back. Wont recommend.

This hotel is too old and it looks in poor condition. Rooms are too small. Bathrooms almost imposible to be used due to very small space. Too expensive for the service and quality offered.

Staff was very very friendly and helpful

Room and Parking were too expensive.

Not sure why they call it the Georgetown Marriott because it's not even close to Georgetown, but it's a good choice for a budget conscious traveler who wants to be close to Cap Hill.
- 5/5
Can hear sirens from area hospital
- 5/5
Great location, updated clean rooms.
- 5/5
The rooms were spacious, lobby was clean and entertaining. Hotel was conveniently located to everything. We also were able to save and park on the street for free instead of hefty garage parking. Great choice
- 5/5
Great facility, great service.

Checked in evening after a 9 hour drive Housekeeping was cleaning halls and rooms around me until I complained at 9:45 Once that quieted down realized the loud rumbling sound was a service/freight elevator next to my room Did not sleep Asked for room change in the am, specially asking for quiet Front desk staff polite but put me in a room across from main elevator and ice maker Felt very disrespected and completely exhausted Could not wait to check out Really a shame as location next to my daughter’s condo is ideal for my frequent visits

Great staff with welcoming hello and departure goodbye. Dining staff for coffee shop extremely attentive. Initially didn't have a bath towel rack or hook of any kind in our room (bathroom). Mentioned it at the desk on our way out to sightsee and magically it appeared upon our return! Also, the discount for the hop on/off bus was a pleasant surprise.

Aretha was amazing! She greeted us and made everything so easy. She was friendly and was a joy to meet upon after being on the road x 7 hours. Thank you for a great stay! The only thing I wish that was offered was free coffee. may hotels that we have stayed at offer this all the time. It would have been a wonderful option. Other than that, everything was amazing. I was originally booked at the Embassy, however, I saw that Marriott has a good deal on Expedia, so I went with them. I am so glad I did! thank you for a great stay - we will be back and will tell all of our friends! Thank you again Aretha!

We always stay here when visiting our son at The University of Richmond. We love the location and convenience to the college. Health club is a bit limited,

The room is of good size for our family of 4, enough closet space. Layout is good. Olivia, our room attendant is very nice, kept our room well maintained with enough supplies. Would have been better if free wifi is offered.

My family of four were very pleased with our stay. We stayed a few days in another hotel close to the White House but didn’t enjoy it even though we paid more for that property. We were glad we made the change after we returned from NYC for a couple more days to end our vacation. Our stay in Marriott made our DC trip perfect!

Very noisy. Street noise until 3am was crazy, even on the 8th floor.
- 5/5
Did not like that there was a resort fee.
- 5/5
It’s perfect. Close to pharmacies and other restaurants.
- 4/5
The hotel is nice and well located. Just note: (1) the hotel is not in Georgetown, despite its name, and (2) price for parking is extremely steep. I wish I had researched a nearby parking lot ahead of time.

- 5/5
Great idea lace to stay in DC
- 4/5
The hotel was quite nice and clean and the staff was very pleasant. There were no amenities to speak of with the exception of a free cookie when you checked in. You even had to pay for a cup of coffee in the morning unless you wanted to make mediocre K cup in your room. Most hotels, even the less luxurious hotels, offer coffee all day. And many offer an afternoon happy hour or tea time. Not this hotel.
- 5/5
Convenient location within a short ride-app to many attractions. Restaurants within walking distance. Noisy in the morning if you're trying to sleep in.
- 5/5
Clean and nice
- 1/5
Lobby restroom was in poor shape. Restaurant staff had hard time communicating and understanding customer needs. Overall a very negative experience.
- 4/5
The 3 stars is for the hotel management who would trick the guests by giving them $25 courtesy credit toward any food or drink, and then by charging the customers back for $29 as the so called Destination fee. I booked my room through Expedia and this fee was never mentioned or calculated in the rates offered by Expedia.
- 5/5
Good

Your pillows are very poor. You should have a range with at least one firm pillow.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room. Very comfortable bed and all niceties were in order. Very comfortable and quiet. Big TV. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
We had a great room, everything we needed.
- 4/5
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and perfect location to everything. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond for us which i am extremely grateful for. The rooms were great and extremely comfortable . The only complaint i have is i wish the windows were sound proof . it was extremely hard to fall asleep with all the sirens outside. i would definitely return

perfect walking location for everything in Georgetown and in Washington. DC. Lobby was nice. Rooms were clean. used SpotHero to park and ended up parking at the Ritz across the street for half the price. Would recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Good location.
- 5/5
Love the area … there’s plenty to do. It’s close by the tourist area I was there for a comedy show and it was two blocks from the hotel. The rooms are cute and clean. The hotel is a vibe
- 4/5
My only complaint is no microwave. For the size of the suite, it should have had a kitchenette and or microwave. I could not reheat my dinner and had to throw it away. Otherwise this suite was excellent. Even the pull-out sofa was comfortable. Fabulous restaurant, professional front staff, beautiful suite.
- 5/5

The staff is very friendly and seems genuinely happy to have you stay at the property. The young man who checked me and also checked me out was quite knowledgeable, courteous and a pleasant demeanor. I would definitely recommend this location for sure.
