Breakfast was not great

The staff was welcoming and helpful, rooms were very clean, spacious and well appointed. The location was perfect and central to all the places we had on our itinerary.

Nice venue for niece’s wedding. Convenient location. Our hotel room was nice (large, quiet, comfortable bed). Onsite parking was expensive but was told it was comparable to other hotels in the area. Hotel breakfast (very minimal “buffet”) was super expensive - go elsewhere.
- 3/5
A wedding ceremony kept us up late, we could hear the music and yelling loudly in our 2nd floor room. The restaurant’s were closed, which we didn’t know until we got there and there was a charge for even a cup of coffee. For the most part the hotel was fine it was just frustrating
- 4/5
The staff was pleasant shout out to Melvin. The room was decent and overall clean, however the throw on the bed was very old and had lint beaded on it. I stripped the bed and put traveler sheets on the bed. The room could use a paint job the walls were had scuff marks on the wall.

The manager was no help when it came to the damage to my car, even though it was caused by the condition of the garage. The property should be properly maintained to prevent situations like this from happening to guests’ vehicles. I’m very disappointed with how this was handled.

It’s very well located at the heart of Georgetown Washington within short walking distance of subway stations. The breakfast should have more variety.
- 4/5
It was good and reasonably priced

The breakfast area was a tiny nook in the lobby. The front desk woman was not the brightest and not very helpful. Also, we were 3 people in a room and they didn’t have enough towels for all. The robe in the bathroom looked dirty. Biggest issue is lack of storage. Closet is small with one tiny drawer. We had to live out of our suitcases. Annoying

Staff was so friendly and helpful! The room was large, clean and comfortable. Special thanks to the dining staff...they made us feel so welcome, even though we arrived right before closing. They were all amazing!

Outstanding!

The room smelled like poo and the toilet was running all the time. It wasn’t great.
- 2/5
Very disappointing. Large area of ice in main entrance driveway and my husband had a bad fall. Storm was over 2 weeks ago so ice should’ve been cleared by now. Breakfast buffet cold, powdered eggs.

Hotel is centrally located on edge of GW campus. Bar/restaurant is located in basement (so no natural light). Better eating options outside hotel with Michelin rated Blue Duck Tavern across street in Park Hyatt Hotel and Nobu less than 2 blocks away. Accommodating staff. Stayed on slow Labor Day weekend so very quiet.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent. Not many good breakfast or dinner options in area.
- 5/5
Do I get compensated for all these surveys? I like being asked how was your stay but these multiple surveys are a bit much. perhaps a small credit for responding to surveys?
- 5/5
Greta hotel a little further out to museums but just took Uber to sights.
- 5/5
Clean very nice staff. Professional
- 4/5
Some of the staff were not courteous and when I asked about late check out at 1 pm, he said that I am not in the elite class of Marriott to ask for late check. I have to work my way upto it!!
- 4/5
I liked free drinks and free Big Bus tickets.
- 5/5
Lovely front desk and valet staff
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay. Right in the middle of everything.
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 5/5
The location was a walkable distance from the metro which was nice. Several places close to eat along with a Walgreens and CVS if you forgot anything. Room was big with plenty of towels. We had no issues at all during our stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel! Would stay there again!
- 4/5
The parking entrance is very small and hard to get in if it’s busy after that the staff was very helpful and nice zc
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Just nice friendly clean comfortable hotel
- 4/5
Westin has done a poor job when it comes to in-room comfortness. Small closets, no drawers. I would trade 1000 times a bathtub that no one uses, for some extra space in my closet.
- 5/5
Melvin was amazing and the restaurant staff was super friendly.
- 5/5
Central location close to nice dining options
- 5/5
Would stay again.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel, great location and excellent staff! Thank you
- 5/5
Quite and very comfortable
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and professional. The facilites were clean and well maintained. I would return to the hotel and recommend it to future visitors.
- 5/5
Excelent location, staff and clean
- 4/5
They managed to get us in the room we paid for after half an hour or so. Otherwise no problems.
- 5/5
Beautiful place and location. Easy to walk around
- 5/5
Wonderful service by staff and walkable distance to shops! Will come back and stay again!
- 4/5
The Hotel property is well taken care off, the staff is caring and proactive and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The boy improvement should be the breakfast options.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, excellent location, nicely appointed hotel. The restaurant/bar was enjoyable---food and beverage selections were very good.
- 5/5
A 4 blocks in DC were out of power for several days. This included the Westin. Upon arrival they informed me that they made arrangements for me to stay at another hotel right nearby. Under this adverse conditions they handled it seamlessly. Well done.
- 5/5
Very nice staff . Great rooms . Walkable to food and shops .
- 4/5
Love the hotel from the staff to housekeepers rooms bathtub option. Wish the shower was a little larger and more up to date. Had a good time in the hotel restaurant.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean facility.
- 5/5
Good experience!
- 5/5
Have stayed here countless times. It’s always excellent and hands down my favorite hotel in DC. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious and beds are cloud like. Love the shower/soaking tub combo in the bathrooms. The gym here is probably the best hotel gym I have ever seen. Other perks include easy walk to Georgetown and the waterfront, metro close by get you to other parts of DC and only a 10 minute drive to DCA or Union Station.
- 5/5
This is a first class hotel.
- 4/5
The $25 credit to food was not beneficial or helpful to offset very high food prices. One of our 2 room & elevator keys did not work. We had the keys reset at front desk nut still the one key didn't work. We didn't try to get it fixed again. Location was great for our needs. These was a pile of conference & education books from a previous occupant
- 5/5
My family had an exceptional time here while in DC. The room was beyond what we expected, and exceeded our expectations. We will be staying here in the future.
- 5/5
Room was very big and had a nice decor
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
Location was good but it was expensive for the quality, i felt it was outdated and nothing special about it
- 5/5
We love this property!
- 1/5
Room service came in a takeout bag with no cutlery. Toilet did not flush. Column right in the middle of the room
- 5/5
I had one problem when I arrived: they did not show any record of my reservation despite having sent me an email the prior day. It took at least half an hour probably closer to 45 minutes. They had to call Travelocity to get the reservation record to be processed. This was Travelocity's fault, not the Westin's. So I am unlikely to reserve through Travelocity in the future.
- 5/5
The stay was great but the check-in was terrible. They did not find my reservation after at least 30 minutes of checking. They had to call Travelocity, which finally sent the reservation through. I provided my confirmation number and showed them the email that Westin sent me the day before.
- 5/5
Esther at check in was so welcoming - thank you!
- 5/5
Very nice rooms. Friendly staff. Easy to park.
- 4/5
We had a pleasant time
- 3/5
While the property was reasonably clean, I am concerned about the hotel’s pet policy. As someone with severe allergies to cats and dogs, I was disappointed to find that the presence of animals was not communicated clearly. There was pet hair on the mattress in my room, which is unacceptable and posed a health risk for me. Given these issues, I am hesitant to stay at this property again. I hope these concerns will be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.
- 3/5
We got married at this hotel 38 years ago when it was a charming boutique hotel. Now that Marriott has taken over, it is pretty much a Marriott. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it doesn’t have the old world charm it did in years past.
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff!
- 5/5
We will definitely stay at The Westin again.
- 5/5
Would stay again!
- 2/5
The check in process could have been a little better. Having to repeat yourself numerous times was not appreciated. The room do not have refrigerators nor is this mentioned. I was told I should have reserved it but how would I know that if it is not mentioned.
- 5/5
4 Star!!
- 5/5
The staff is super nice and helpful. The location is awesome and within walking distance from many restaurants. Very clean and there is breakfast on site. Very convenient location to Georgetown (the car needs to be dropped for valet service which was very quick as well). We will be back!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Overall great experience
- 5/5
Spacious bathroom and upscale accoutrements throughout
- 5/5
This was one of the best hotels that I had ever stay and the employees very nice and welcoming.

Staff was great all around. Neighborhood was a bit noisy at night, but overall great experience.

clean and walkable. Near to all DC attractions without being in the center. Easy walk to quaint downtown Georgetown
- 5/5
Absolutely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had
- 5/5
The hotel had a great location, and services.
- 5/5
This hotel had great location and service.
- 3/5
Very loud music until midnight. Pillows are awful - not down. Mattresses ok.
- 5/5
This is my favorite hotel to stay at while in Washington DC. The Georgetown neighborhood is terrific and you are also with walking distance of the Silver Line; monuments, Arlington Cemetery, and The White House. Great staff and service. Thank you Westin Georgetown!
- 5/5
You cannot go wrong with Westin. This was as always a great stay!
- 3/5
The room was not clean…food debris on floor and other items ….hair on bathroom floor …doorways caulked poorly …mini fridge holding a door closed. Could not use rest rooms on main floor due to a wedding. Breakfast service was awful…slow and inefficient. Service was very poor. Valet was excellent. Not what I would expect from a Westin. Beds not heavenly. Way overpriced.
- 2/5
i had called prior to booking to confirm about room services, i was told twice the they offered room services. so i booked the stay with them, when i checked in i asked a gain and i was told yes again, the time came to order room services and no one answered the phones in the front desk after going to the front i was told not room services. also no one knew what to do or answer simple question. will not stay at the westin again.
- 5/5
Lovedddd this hotel. The staff is amazing, location, beds superrrr comfy, rooms fully renovated. I had a great time here. Highly recommend it. Food was great too.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms.
- 2/5
The location of the property and staff on site were both really great. We did not find the beds comfortable (too soft) and the shower was a tiny wand with light flow/pressure. The pluses were great but not enough to make up for the poor sleep and shower.
- 5/5
The woman who attended to us my daughter and I was amazing amazing and her name is Divina..
- 4/5
The location was great, parking even valet was a pain the butt, but overall this was a great hotel. We would stay here again!
- 4/5
It was just a few blocks from GWU Hospital
- 4/5
A well-located hotel for visiting our daughter near Georgetown University.
- 4/5
Nice property. Public bathrooms out of order. Check in was late. Room was fine
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff, clean room, and nice lobby space to meet with family. The bar/restaurant area is lacking and rarely open. We had to go down the street to another bar to watch the football game and get something to eat. My room on the 7th floor was very nice and quiet. The bathroom was spacious, however, the shower was surprisingly small. Maybe 36” square. I’m not a large person, but can’t imagine a large person showering in there. A lot of space was taken up with a tub. Maybe other rooms have larger showers?? I would stay at this hotel again. It was a good value for the price.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Great location. Availability of restaurant very limited by hours. Overall a great stay!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Staff were excellent - especially Maria and the man on the front desk - they went above and beyond to make life easier!
- 5/5
From our valet to our receptionist- such a wonderful greeting!!
- 5/5
Very nice with an excellent staff
- 5/5
In the heart of Georgetown--GWU campus.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The hotel is well located but there were no drawers to put clothing in. Less important but odd was the placement of the tv. Instead of being directly across from the bed, it was off to the side. Even with the bracket which lets you angle it off the wall, it was at an inconvenient angle to watch from the bed. Otherwise the hotel was fine, but I've never stayed anywhere without drawers. Only there two nights so it wasn't horrible living out of the suitcase, but would be more problematic for a longer stay.
- 5/5
It was an awesome stay. Very up to date . Spotless. Iwould gladly stay there again.
- 5/5
My best hotel experience in the West End! Very well located and well maintained throughout. Staff very welcoming and knowledgeable.
- 4/5
