The position and design downstairs We booked a suite for close to 2000 USD a night. The room stank of cigarettes. It was small and minimally decorated. There was no bath, the towels were small, the products were horrible and cheap. There was no kettle in the room. In short everything was cheap looking and disappointing about the room. Our rate included breakfast but we could only choose from a small list of options and when we asked for some avocado to add to our eggs we had to pay extra. In short we will never stay at this hotel again. In the rooms there is nothing 5 star at all.

Room was fantastic - spacious, clean and freshly remodeled on the 8th floor with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as a perk for Bonvoy elite status.

The rooms are old and tired. The closes are a chipped and dinged . The light switches don’t work. The bathroom has horrible lighting. The lights by the beside are so low in wattage that you can read. Beautiful lobby. I had asked for a little bit of leniency on the check out since I wasn’t feeling good, & they basically said 12 is the best we can do. It was very inconsiderate, since I could barely stand. Rooms are a bit out-dated but it’s very clean.

The hotel was adequate for the price. Booking.com and the hotel failed to have my reservation. I received a substandard room because they had given my room away. I had to wait an hour for the room when I arrived after a full day traveling. I will never use booking.com or stay at the St Regis ever again. One of the two of them are both of them are responsible. Unforgivable.

Christmas decorations were very nice. I couldn't adjust the temperature in the shower as the lever was stuck. Also, I couldn't get hot water out of the tap without running the water in two sinks at once.

I didn't love the room I had. Although it was recently renovated, it still felt quite cheaply done. It felt like the hotel gets run-through with people often. It is DC so it can be expected. I loved that the hallways had tiled floors. The carpet is quite a bother to lug a suitcase on. Overall, the room was spacious, quiet, and fine. As I said, it's your typical St.Regis hotel.

Beautiful Hotel, facilities amazing, bar staff very friendly & helpful. Hope to stay in the St Regis when I visit Washington DC again. We booked in for a 7 night stay. Ordered breakfast to our room almost every morning. Without exception we had to send the delivery member of staff back to the kitchen as there was always 1 or 2 items missing from our order!

We had a St Regis Suite. It was very big. Nice sitting area; office area, dining area The room needs some updating as it looks outdated. The staff on the entrance door ( porters) were very! far from being welcoming & helping. We stayed here in november 2023 and were very happy. I must say that this time it was a bit disappointinh

This hotel didn't do anything for daughter’s birthday. I mentioned it when I did my reservation. The room was nice not what I was hoping for. I guess I didn't pay as much as others.

I booked this for one evening as the rest of my stay was booked @ the Ritz Georgetown. Exterior of hotel is stunning and the lobby is what you would expect from an older St Regis. Upon check in, I was told I had been upgraded. I had already booked a King room. There was a line to check in as only one person at the desk. Upon entering, it was a small double room. I had to bring my belongings back downstairs, wait in line for other people to check in to then let the concierge know of the mistake. He then reissued keys to another room. Upon entering that room, there was no upgrade, it was the room I had booked online. After settling in, I showered (pressure was wonderful). I went to move a hand towel from the sink and realized it was sopping wet. When I picked it up, it was full of toilet paper covered in mouth wash. I was really grossed out and upon further inspection realized there were wrappers in the bathroom trash can. I called down to the front and no one seemed that concerned or grossed out. I asked multiple times if the room had been cleaned as I was then worried about the bed. Didn't offer to move me to another room and were pretty cavalier. Said maybe turn down service had accidentally left it....They sent a house keeper up who was very kind but 30 mins later. She cleaned the bathroom and then told me to check the bed to make sure it was clean. The whole experience left me feeling really grossed out. Needless to say, I was happy to have not booked my entire trip there.

Thermometer didn't work so room was at 75 degrees. Engineer came and told me the solution was to set it at 64 degrees which didn't work. I simply didn't want to move rooms at 10pm. The decor and fit out is very dated compared to all the other St. Regis properties I've stayed. I won't stay here again.

My stay for 3 nights was disappointing. They are understaffed or the staff are not interested in customers. No bellman to take the luggage up to the room, felt like checking into an IBIS. The check in procedure and check out procedure were quick, but the wait for both was long. Check out, I waited about 7 min by watch while he was on phone. Breakfast is bad at the Al Hambra restaurant and they get the check before you have even finished breakfast indicating you leave the table as soon as possible. Conceierge is never available at the desk so no local info . you figure it out yourselves. My good luck they did not have an extra night at the hotel and I had to check into Trump International. Now that is what one would call a 5 star service. It cost an additional 200 but every dollar was worth it. Getting out of St. Regis and into Trump, at least part of my trip to Washington was great.

A lovely hotel with great history. Great location (right behind the White House.) They also arranged a quiet room as we requested. Should we return to DC again, we will definitely choose St Regis again!

The lobby is beautiful, the restaurant inside the hotel and bar are excellent, the concierge staff is very helpful and always wiling to accommodate. I loved everything about this hotel. I would return anytime!!

Excellent hotel with great food, ambience and service. Literally 5 mins walk to the White House and the National Mall. And for such good quality and location, the price is reasonable. Cannot go wrong with this place!!

Service and Staff was Excellent. I was traveling with my pups, they were welcomed in the 5-Star St.Regis manner, which made our stay simply Exceptional! It’s totally Old School in the best way.

I also wish there had been coffee — or even better, a a espresso machine in the room. Overall, great stay.

The hotel staff here is fabulous and the lobby and hotel bar are beautiful. However, the rooms could really use an upgrade, they are very dated and for what you pay are very compact as well. Don’t think it’s worth it for the price.

Staying at The St Regis is a treat. The hotel is old school lovely! The concierges are especially terrific as they got tickets for us that were otherwise sold out. They also retrieved a lost item for me after I had checked out and shipped it to me! Incredible service and care!!!!

Bar and Restaurant were very limited hours and service. Room service was also limited hours instead of all day dining. Double beds are small but comfortable. Suite we stayed in was okay, could be larger and shower is also very small. Food for breakfast took very long, over an hour to get served, one server for the whole restaurant. Bar would close before it’s intended time and was not open during the day for drinks. Hotel was nicely located and staff was polite.

Needs work: woefully slow breakfast. Not sure how it could be so slow with hardly a soul dining. Slow or no pickup sometimes on any phone line. Very nerve racking. Bad food in bar if dinner needed.
