- Great location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Limited parking options
- Small room size

Great place to stay i would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel located in DuPont circle. Conveniently located. Most rides were under 10-15min. Staff were polite and personable. Breakfast was ok. Very basic. Wine hour was a huge plus. The price of this hotel is a steal. Would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great spot love the happy hour. Comfy bed, pillows not good. Neighborhood great lounging area great. If you like lunch meat and a bagel for breakfast you’ll enjoy.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and the hotel is in an excellent location; the DuPont area. My only complaint was the water pressure in the bathroom. The bathroom had excellent finishes and looked great but no water pressure.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Normandy, however, I developed an allergy that only affected in my room which caused me to sneeze uncontrollably during the last two days of my stay. It did not bother me outside of my room.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great location and very clean rooms. I loved the room and the French doors.

Nice, small hotel in a lovely residential neighborhood.

Quality and Great Location

Staff were excellent. We didn't arrive until 3am and very pleased that they were able to check us in. Small issue with the aircon but immediately fixed. Nothing
- 4/5
This is my second stay at this property and the only complaint I have is have a more selection of wine during happy hour.

Great, cute boutique hotel with a nice continental breakfast & a lovely wine and cheese hour. The staff were very helpful and hospitable. I would definitely stay there again.!
- 5/5
Helpful and friendly staff. Comfy bed
- 4/5
The walls need better soundproofing. Once breakfast started, the sound of cleaning dishes woke us.
- 5/5
clean, tidy and very quiet hotel, polite staff, and delicious breakfasts❤️

Superb
- 5/5
Location was perfect. Staff was really welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was great! Rooms are a bit small but nothing out of the ordinary
- 4/5
Location was good for me, in a beautiful area. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. There were a few issues that I reported to the front desk upon checkout. Specifically, there was a strong sewage odor in the bathroom, the bathroom door handle was loose and falling off, and the bathroom exhaust fan was not functioning. Additionally, although I had requested a quiet room, the soundproofing was quite poor, and I was awakened early in the morning by noise from other guests.
- 5/5
Todo perfecto, el desayuno puede tener más variedad… pero excelente.
- 5/5
Loved that we could stay with our 112 pound Rottweiler! Staff was great.
- 3.5/5
Location is good. The room is well maintained. The room is very small. Finding parking is a struggle.
- 5/5
Nice and exceptional service
- 5/5
I had an amazing experience hotel is close to everything. And the wine and charcuterie happy hour is such a great idea. Would definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4.5/5
Great location great price very comfortable and clean and nicely designed, very big bed It was a little tired - our bedroom blinds didn’t open and seemed a bit tatty so could do with a small refresh

Superb
- 5/5
Even though hotel is pet friendly it was very clean & fresh smelling. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the shower was amazing. Breakfast offered a great variety, including fresh fruit (blueberries and cantaloupe), breads, meats, cheeses, and delicious fresh juices. The location is excellent—within walking distance of some fabulous restaurants. I wish there were more hotels like this. We will definitely be returning to it. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.
- 3/5
This hotel needs to be renovated. We were on the last floor - the ceiling was very low. The carpet was dirty
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. Room very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Always a great stay! Glad they toned down air freshener smells! Small conti breakfast items like fruit and biscuits would be nice.

The room was spacious and very clean. The a/c worked well. The bathroom was spotless and the towels were of good quality. The location close to DuPont circle metro makes it ideal for getting around DC. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good. All the items were fresh.
- 4/5
It was quiet, clean and staff was nice.
- 5/5
I had no warning that I would be charged over $40 in "destination fees" for a 1 night stay
- 4/5
It was quiet, clean and staff was nice.
- 5/5
Very clean small boutique hotel close walking distance to many restaurants. It was also walkable to Embassy Row, and the National Cathedral where we had a memorial service for a family member. The White House was a 1.5 mile easy walk where we could catch a hop on hop off bus. Staff very responsive. Continental breakfast had many items including a pancake maker, bagels, English muffins and breads, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cereal. We will stay here again if we return to DC.
- 5/5
Very comfy bed and large closet, perfect breakfast and wine/cheese at 5pm and attractive sitting areas and perfect location
- 5/5
Check in was a breeze, the room was super clean. The breakfast was very good, am assortment to choose from
- 5/5
Lovely accommodating staff with an excellent location
- 5/5
Everything was great with my say thank you so much for the service
- 5/5
Good staff. Kathleen was wonderful!
- 4/5
Great location and convenient. Room was clean!
- 5/5
Nice and quiet. Small rooms and much older hotel, but some rooms may be bigger if you pay more I’m not sure. It does show some signs of aging but that didn’t bother me at all. The breakfast good quality and all I need. All the options were fairly healthy although they ran out of boiled eggs quick every morning! Free coffee always ready whenever, love that. They also did a free wine hour from 6-7p, which was just nice to have offered. Staff were professional and personable. I probably won’t stay anywhere else in DC due to my recent experience with them. Not worth having a bad experience somewhere else when I know this place is exactly what I want.
- 4/5
The breakfast Fred of charge was decent. Limited access to convenient stores
- 5/5
Great service, clean and quiet room, excellent hospitality all around
- 4/5
The a/c was very cold. In fact I had to turn it off in the middle of the night. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine. Constant coffee was a bonus.
- 5/5
Room was freezing but I’d rather be cold than hot. Staff was okay; professional. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Hotel is cozy, rooms comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 4/5
Room was clean, front desk was very helpful and pleasant. I liked the area breakfast was served in but the selction was a bit limited. The worker was on top of cleaning and restocking though so it wasn't necessarily a negative especially since its included in the "destination charge".
- 4/5
Staff was helpful. Our room was clean-bed comfortable and pillows were also. Price was right.
- 3/5
The parking is a bit complicated due to the location but not impossible. There’s also valet available. The rooms are older but clean. Lighting was dim but the biggest issue was the temperature. It was cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Staff were very courteous and knowledgeable and made accommodations when feasible.
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 3/5
The room (114) was clean. The light fixtures are below average including light switches & receptacles, refrigerator display was broken, so my meal was not kept cold, my last day I figured (guessed) the correct temperature setting. There is a dip in the floor in front of refrigerator that can twist an ankle. My number one complaint (which I did not make any of the staff aware of, until check out) is, the controls to the AC are stuck on high fan and coldest setting. I enjoy a cold room, so for me it was tolerable, but for some it may be uncomfortable. Breakfast was a nice experience, as was the open wine bar in the evening. The Normandy staff I cannot give enough applause to, they were very profesional and polite.
- 5/5
Great experience - would come back
- 5/5
Everything was solid. Great location. Wish breakfast were earlier.
- 5/5
Great place. Great location between 2 stops on red line and near many good restaurants. Nice rooms, outdoor space, happy hour and breakfast. ,personnel were pleasant and supportive to address all our needs. We will be back. Thanks!!
- 3/5
Booking this hotel was a choice as the conference I was attending was nearby (sold out). I never attended the 5pm wine & cheese. I went to breakfast once and grabbed a muffin. I had coffee once. The milk was opened 10 days prior and there were no other options. Staff were friendly in the sense they said hi and bye but didn't really feel like I could even tell them about the milk because no one was really attentive to the breakfast. I ended up walking to the nearby Kalorama Market. There isn't enough space to talk about how disappointed I was in the quality of the room or the smell on the floor (raccoon? weed? sewer?). Maybe the rooms with the balcony/views are better. Mine had a view of another building, straight into other apartments. I wouldn't book again unless it was extremely inexpensive.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Ty was great. Very helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
Room was quiet.
- 5/5
Convenient, comfortable and breakfast included
- 3/5
Plus side…Staff was nice and offer recommendations for restaurants.
- 5/5
We were visiting relatives in the area. We loved the neighborhood location & appreciated the breakfast & wine reception. The staff were all super friendly.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful!
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, clean room. Loved the daily wine hour and convenient metro station location. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
The location and staff make this hotel a classic to return to again and again…❤️❤️
- 4/5
Very pleasant staff in a very convenient location for business in Dupont Circle area and running route up past the Zoo.
- 5/5
Perfectly located. You can walk to everything!
- 4/5
Overall it was a wonderful stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had issues with the lights in the hall area in my room not working which they were unable to fix during my stay and the blinds being outdated and difficult to open and close. Everything else was great; breakfast, location, cleanliness, and very professional and caring staff. Definitely worth returning. Thank you!
- 5/5
Was an adorable hotel. Very clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable
- 2/5
Nice staff, poor parking, dirty wallpaper
- 4/5
We always stay at this boutique hotel, conveniently located about a 5 minute drive from the Czech Republic embassy. The room design is great and always a highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, during this visit it was unusually warm for March in DC, around 80°F, and the hotel did not have air conditioning available. That said, the staff was great as always and quickly provided a fan to help make the room more comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was very kind and helpful.
- 4/5
The room we got was a bit to hot and the AC didn’t seem to work, breakfast was super basic so don’t rely on this one for hours and hours but overall would definitely recommend thia place
- 5/5
Valet parking was expensive but probably in line compared to other places in DC. Although expensive, we could get car quickly.
- 5/5
This was such a classy little place!! Wine and cheese after check in, lovely breakfast spread in the morning. Very pleased with my stay
- 5/5
Each staff person was wonderful. The included breakfast and wine/cheese events are very enjoyable and why I choose Normandy! Thanks.
- 5/5
No pet
- 5/5
The property is easy walking distance from Dupont Circle north station. The room was clean and well decorated. There is a wonderful seating/cafe dining area on the ground floor that includes a library, a sunroom, and an outdoor seating area. Every morning a wonderful european style breakfast is served including cheese, lunch meets, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, waffles, toast, jam, fruit, cereal and a variety of bread. Every evening at 5pm, a cheese and cracker with wine or coffee/tea is served for a nice pre-dinner appetizer when you return from being out fo the day. The inn is very relaxing and quaint in a neighborhood filled with embassies. The gold gym pass is also a plus. The inn is wonderful for vacation or business uses.
- 5/5
Clean room staff was great
- 5/5
Great location! Room was small but bed very comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Would recommend!
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 4/5
Would have been excellent if it weren't for the condescending way the Nigerian front desk clerk talked to me when I was checking out. Up to that point the 2 ladies were supremely kind, they made my stay wonderful. However when I was leaving the way that young man kept talking down to me, left a bitter note on my overall stay. All in all, beautiful hotel, would definitely visit again!
- 4/5
Staff was awsome. Clean room. Breakfast was ok.
- 5/5
Excellent stay! No complaints!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at The Normandy.
- 5/5
The employee Sophia was great
- 5/5
The staff was attentive to requests! Tai was very friendly. The breakfast was just what we needed to start the day. We liked the location - walkable to restaurants and a quick uber ride to the city! Our room was a bit small for our family, but served us well for our 5 day visit. Too bad the snow had not been plowed by the city as it made it difficult to navigate in and out of the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay and would definitely come back when in DC.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean and staff was pleasant
- 5/5
I love this hotel. I always stay here when I’m in town. The staff is always so nice and pleasant. Rooms are always clean and the location is perfect and close to everything.
- 5/5
Property was clean and I had no issue getting around and the staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Clean and well-equipped rooms, outstanding and professional staff.
- 5/5
Had an amazing trip and smooth check in from the kind women Marwa working. The best people work here. They nice to me and to my dog. Every time I come to work in DC. I love this hotel.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice and clean. The only downside is that it doesn't have free parking, and it's almost impossible to find a parking spot on the street outside. The hotel does have its own private parking, but they charge way too much, $55 per day. They should charge less than that.
- 3/5
Shade would not work so we essentially had to stay in a cave. Also even though we had our do not disturb sign out housekeeping knocked on the door while we were changing and the dog went crazy.
- 5/5
Clean room. Excellent staff! Nice breakfast and wine hour.
- 5/5
The
- 5/5
It’s more than I expected. Their attention to details is very impressive.
- 4/5
The room was clean. Location great. Happy about the stay.
- 3/5
The room is very humid because we can't control the temperature. It is ok in winter but I will not recommend the stay in summer.
- 5/5
His property is located very conveniently next to
- 5/5
It was convenient and the staff and services were great. Bonus:.many friendly dogs staying at the hotel to pet
- 5/5
Front desk staff were amazing, helpful, welcoming.
- 5/5
Loved the pet friendly!
- 2/5
Room smelt, heater didn’t work
- 5/5
The staff were very kind, and even though I don’t fully speak English, I felt as comfortable as if I were in my own home.
- 4/5
Extremely disappointed in breakfast no decaf coffee extremely limited options not worth $15.00
- 5/5
Really nice boutique hotel. Wine and cheese every day at 5 PM. Really friendly staff. Reasonable cost for continental breakfasts.
- 5/5
Will stay at this hotel again it’s well located and staff are pleasant to deal with
- 3/5
The bathroom really smelled bad
- 5/5
Clean comfy room. Nice bathroom.
- 4/5
The room and bathroom were pretty clean and comfortable. I needed to use the wifi for meetings throughout my entire stay and unfortunately, it was unstable the entire time. I appreciated the eco-friendly touches (toilet paper, key cards, etc.). The shower nozzle ended up falling out while I was showering and bruised my foot. The sink was also not draining very well. I loved the water kettle for making tea and the fact that there was a water dispenser outside our room. It was a bit difficult to adjust the temperature in the room (I was often cold) but I'm also happy that I was able to open the windows for some fresh air. Overall, it was a pretty good stay with some minor issues. I would definitely recommend this to others as it was also a very convenient walking distance from many places in the city (restaurants, events, etc.).
- 3/5
The check-in desk is not ADA accessible. They have a ramp but there are still steps down to the desk. The handrails by the steps from the check-in desk to the elevator are wobbly- not great for people with a mobility issue —the front desk staff member on Saturday morning called maintenance to try and fix them. Hopefully they are now secure.
- 5/5
Very personable staff and nice room layout
- 5/5
Hotel staff was welcoming and helped in everything i needed. The location is also very convenient and the room was clean and quite. I liked staying there. The breakfast was also good.
- 5/5
Pet friendly, Staff is great especially Kevin
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel situated in a beautiful area of DC. Convenient to restaurants and shops. Staff was welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely book again.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Welcoming and friendly staff, very clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
The room was very nice and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, and the facilities were extremely comfortable and had many details that made the stay super good.
- 5/5
..
- 4/5
There were a lot of issues about the room, the toilet ran after being flushed. My husband had to adjust the ball inside the tank, the bed was not positioned right, and there is a metal piece that fell off, and it rocked, there were no cranks on some of the windows, I had to use my hand to push them out and to try to close them, There wasn't enough light in the room, our TV wasn't working right we had to have a service man come in at 9 o'clock at night, there was an odor in the bathroom. I could not identify, but was not pleasant, and that was just a few other things
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable but there were some small things that probably need repair. For example, even though the air conditioner was set to 66 degrees, it never got cooler than 71. It wasn’t uncomfortable so we just dealt with it. Also, the carpet near the ac/heat unit was missing, like someone cut a chunk out but never replaced it. It was about 8 inches so again, nothing major but definitely noticeable. Other than that, it was in a great location with easy access to many restaurants. We never took advantage of the breakfast so I can’t speak to that but we did enjoy the wine and cheese hour a couple of days. There was a large group staying there so the first night we did not get any wine because they only put out one bottle of red and one bottle of white. The 2nd night, we got a little red but the white was gone, again, it was quite of few people there so with only two bottles, it went fast. I wish they would have put out more bottles at least so it lasted thru the hour. I would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The only surprise was the $65 nightly parking fee, which wasn't clearly indicated upfront. Otherwise, the hotel was quite nice.
- 5/5
Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again!
- 3/5
It’s a very old property. Dirty carpets. Unpleasant smell.
- 2/5
I was there for three nights. After the second night I requested in the morning that my room be serviced, and it was not done.
- 5/5
This is a really neat hotel that offers modern amenities. The building is older and parts of it (like the elevator) give off creepy vibes lol but I liked it. The front desk staff was extremely friendly. I saw reviews complaining about the room size but it did not seem any smaller than most other hotel rooms. The hotel is very pet friendly, with no extra fee and even had treats for them in the lobby. We did not pay for Valet parking but had no issue finding parking on the street.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Very nice Hotel, in a upscale neighborhood. They had a wine reception, and assisted with our Uber eats order.
- 4/5
This was a cute little hotel with exceptional staff that was very helpful and accommodating. I loved the daily cocktail hour and the coffee that was always hot and available. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The valet parking was nice however very pricey at $60 per night.
- 5/5
If there's any downside, the elevator has a smell. Regardless, the stay was very worth the money
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, enjoyed my stay, very nice rooms and walk in shower, very spacious
- 5/5
Great place to stay in DC
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the smaller hotel size than many corporate hotels, and individual attention from staff during the stay was really good. The room was great and provided all we needed Darnell on evening reception was fabulous and very helpful
- 5/5
Terrific stay as always. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms.
- 5/5
I regularly stay at the Normandy and it's everything you need: great location just north of Dupont Circle, clean and quiet rooms, friendly staff, even a nice cozy breakfast / reading room on the ground floor with free wine & cheese every evening.
- 3/5
Surprised they did not clean room each day
- 5/5
Mrs Rogan
- 5/5
Beautiful boutique hotel. Quiet and clean with comfortable beds. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
The fro t staff was very welcoming, loved the wine afternoons, quiet, calm and quaint
- 5/5
Quiet, clean, well priced and convenient
- 5/5
Absolutely loved it. From the greeting staff to the room💯💯💯
- 4/5
Parking restrictions proved to be challenging, but everything else regarding the hotel was very good.
- 3/5
Only negative comment about my stay was the air conditioner in my room wasnt working properly. But i didnt complain i was only staying one evening.
- 5/5
None smoking please good view please and slippers to walk with in
- 5/5
Great property.
- 5/5
Front desk was super helpful and responsive
- 5/5
Very kind and friendly staff. Although the rooms are small the beds are very comfortable. Love the wine and cheese hour.
- 5/5
The hotel is a gem in the midst of the embassy district along Connecticuit Avenue. The rooms are of modest size but the price was a true bargain. We had our dog and, not only was there no pet fee, our dog was provided with a bag of peanut butter dog treats. The staff was most helpful and condial. We recommend the Normandy without reservation.
- 5/5
We are happy to return to this hotel each time we visit DC. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we are always very comfortable there. The wine and cheese happy hour is a lovely treat!
- 5/5
Great stay, unique property.
- 4/5
this was a well-priced hotel and we found it to be cute and homey- sort of like you were at a beach hotel. Happy vibes:)
- 5/5
This hotel is very clean and constantly maintained. Yo will get a nice service, and welcoming staff.
- 5/5
Lovely stay in residential neighborhood next to my daughter’s home. Stylish, comfortable and we will come again.
- 5/5
Very good
- 4/5
The AC was too loud and the room darkening curtains weren’t large enough to cover the windows.
- 5/5
Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean. The breakfast was not appealing to me, with so many great food options nearby. I loved the wine and cheese hour. The dining space was open around the clock so if you brought your own food or needed a microwave it was readily available. The dining area is also nice to lounge in during off-peak hours.
- 5/5
The staffs are nice and the location is amazing.
- 5/5
Such a great find at a GREAT price. Very nice property. Very cool double doors overlooking the courtyard. Very comfortable bed. Very clean room. Awesome bathroom. We ABSOLUTELY will stay here again. The only thing I did not like was the lack of parking, so we paid $60 to valet park in their garage. I guess thats the big city, though. We loved our stay here.
- 5/5
Stay was very nice. Only issue was a temp problem with elevator (whcih had no AC) stuck for about 5 mins. I lived in the neighborhood for about 35 years and returned for a visit so location was great for me. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and accomodating.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
We couldn’t have picked a better place. Aniça was so sweet and helpful to us. We had to come in very late/early morning and she made this so easy for us. She was very welcoming, and just so helpful throughout the trip. Breakfast was great and the room was amazing. The bed was beyond comfortable. Definitely making this my go to next time I’m in DC.
- 5/5
Check in was great. The area is wonderful. The stay was comfortable.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. Good location for our needs on this trip.
- 5/5
Loved the property and the staff! Will be back soon.
- 4/5
The Kalorama Market on California is a short walk and known for its cappuccino, daily sandwiches, and weekend pizzas. The afternoon wine and cheese reception is a nice touch, but paying $8 for a reusable water bottle was a bit much. The hotel difffuses some kind of spicy scent into the air system. In some common areas I found it overpowering and it made me cough. Shut off my AC, which helped. My room had a Juliet balcony but couldn't easily open the patio swing doors because the cornice was too low. Staff was always welcoming and helpful.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Perfectly situated for our stay. Convenient to transport and dining options. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 4/5
I enjoy my stay
- 5/5
Great hotel, check in and close to our friends
- 4/5
Front desk staff was very polite and proffessional
- 5/5
The Normandy was close - walking distance -to a function that I had plans to attend. While I think it is part of some chain it was very different from a large hotel, seemed very simple and comfortable in a somewhat elegant way. While it was roomy, it had a more intimate feeling without a huge street presence. Room was quiet, clean, just fine for my simple needs. I would be happy to stay here again and recommend to others.
- 5/5
It was great property quiet
- 1/5
If you have a room in the 6th floor there is a constant loud humming / machine noise throughout the floor. They gave someone else a key to our room and they walked in on us. Both our rooms A/c didn’t work. One wouldn’t switch off and one wouldn’t switch on. Valet is pretty much the only option and it’s expensive. The breakfast not worth $15
- 4/5
Bathroom doorknob handle was broken. The room was lovely otherwise
- 5/5
The Hotel was very nice for the price, the staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
What a perfect boutique hotel experience. Tucked away in a quaint quet neighborhood, The Normandy Hotel offers the most amazing customer service, comfort and ammenities. A lovely breakfast and a wine and cheese hour in the evening. Upon checking out, they held my bags for the entire rest of the day till my flight time. Just a perfect little hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and competent. The available morning breakfast was convenient and the evening wine and crackers was a nice intimate touch.
- 5/5
Very nice dog friendly hotel. The staff were great! Hotel is in a nice neighborhood and easily accessible to transportation too.
- 4/5
Good location for this trip. Clean, quiet and comfortable
- 5/5
If you a large suv or truck parking is rough. Other then that I would stay here every time we are in dc.
- 5/5
I knew we needed to pay for parking but was convenient to use valet. Wish there was a coffee pot in room, but was available downstairs in morning. Overall a really nice stay.
- 4/5
The staff is excellent as everyone has noted here they truly make the stay at the Normandy hotel. It is quite a bit older so some facilities need to be updated. We had some trouble with our windows opening and closing them. The latches were a bit wonky but otherwise great stay
- 5/5
Nice property. Excellent location. Friendly and professional staff. Appreciated extra perks of evening wine & cheese and breakfast. Would certainly stay again.
- 5/5

Nice little hotel in the great area - full of embassies and mansions, great for walks, not a lot of close by restaurants or grocery stores

I really loved this hotel. It was comfortable and the room was perfect. Loved the marble in the bathroom. The staff were all nice as well

This gem of a hotel was a perfect landing spot for seeing friends and family in DC and for enjoying easy access to all the sites and good dining options. It was nice and quiet and the common spaces made you feel at home and gave you room to relax outside your hotel room.

This was a lovely property placed in the ideal location for my trip. I was able to walk to restaurants nearby and the hotel was able to valet my car easily. I would definitely stay here again!

Front desk customer service was phenomenal whenever we needed anything!!! They were all very responsive when we needed assistance. Would definitely come back and referred others as well.

Staff was very friendly and the neighborhood was beautiful!

A standout feature was the daily happy hour in the lounge—ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine and a nibble on cheese. The location is excellent, just about a 10-minute walk from Dupont metro, with plenty of restaurants and dining options nearby, all in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a balanced combination of comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury.

Valet parking FYI.

The balcony doors to the room were quite old and difficult to open. There was no AC apparently the city does not allow them to be turned on until April 1. It was 80° outside, 75° in the room they were able to get us a box fan the rooms are good 10-15 minute walk to the metro

No heat provided on first night. No advance warning.

Everything was amazing -literally not a thing to complain about. Couldn’t have been happier. Super clean and comfy and every person very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect.

The Hotel double-billed me for my stay and now won't reimburse me. They tell you one thing when you contact them and then deny the reimbursement through Orbitz and Hotel Trader. Do NOT give this establishment your business or they will rob you blind!

The Normandy hotel is conveniently located north of DuPont circle. It's a 15 minutes walk from DC Metro. Staff are all friendly and helpful and very nice. They offer complimentary cheese and wine in late afternoon and breakfast for purchase in the morning. I recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting DC.

This is a nice hotel. Older property but for the most part well maintained. They work hard to provide good service and it shows.

Great stay, seems a little over priced for what it is. Older building, breakfast is very standard, without many hot options. Staff was excellent and the location was perfect for what I needed.

it was good not bad but we don’t have parking area for my car

Unique oldstyle hotel, well decorated, only complaint was water temp...showers were barely warm enough.

One thing that DID seem true was that the room was really warm (in February) and the thermostat didn't seem to do much to adjust the temperature. Since it was cold outside, we just cracked the window and it was fine (another reason to love hotels where you can still open the windows, by the way). Your mileage may vary based on the time of year you visit and how they've set the building HVAC. ALL the staff we encountered were wonderful. On our way out, a gentleman from housekeeping was making the rounds in the hallway. He cheerfully said hello and wished us a good day and we let him know we were checking out of our room. We had parked down the street out front and as I was loading the last bag, the young man from the front desk ran up holding my wife's hairbrush, which we had left in the room. The return of that $2 brush took the coordinated care and flat-out hustle of several staff members and proves that "guest service" is still alive and well, at least at the Normandy. We will happily stay again.

I liked how the staff at the hotel were very welcoming.

The hotel is very beautiful however we could not change the heat or turn it off. It was 80 degrees in the room and the only way it would get cooler is if we opened a window. Other than that, I loved our stay.
