Clean bathroom Service at reception, especially checking in, no smile, no info on hotel eg facilities and breakfast which was paid for. Had to ask about breakfast location and times and wasn't value for money

I loved the breakfast buffet, there was a lot of variety and I was able to eat a healthy breakfast before heading out to explore your beautiful city. The shower curtain in our bathroom was so dirty that I had to ask for it to be replaced. Also the drapes in the room were falling off the hooks, no big deal but it didn't look nice. The water pressure was VERY low and made it hard to shower. Also, the first night the drain plug in the tube would not stay up and we had to have that fixed, which was done right away thank goodness. Otherwise the tube filled up with water while you showered.

There were not a lot of toiletries in the room, but you could ask for them.

Housekeeping was superb. All staff and the facility were excellent.

The room was clean and very spacious. The breakfast was really good as well but I wish they had other meat options that weren’t only pork. The staff was very nice and we were even able to check in 3 hours early. Only complaint is that valet can get hectic. The drive up area really isn’t an area. You basically block traffic while trying to check your car in or pick your car up but it works. Overall it was a great stay, you get a full size kitchen living room and bedroom. Big bathroom, free breakfast and full equipped gym. Definitely check it out, I’ve stayed here twice.

Good standard of hotel. Nice furnishings. Comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. They only give you 1 coffee and creamer per adult in the room. You can ask for more but due to how busy staff are this takes a while to come. They won't hand out coffees and creamers to guests.

I like Residence Inns because there are kitchenettes in every room that allow one to be somewhat self-sufficient. We particularly enjoyed the daily breakfast that was quite pleasing with a number of protein, pastry, fruit and egg choices. The Delegate was a nice bar/grill in the lobby that provided additional dining choices. It closed down by 10 PM during the week which forced people who wanted to have a nightcap to move across the street to the Marriott Marquis' bars. The elevators were quite efficient which hasn't always been the case at some of the Residents Inns we've been to and the rooms were quiet & clean. It was a pleasant stay.

Room size for 3 persons was splendid. The location was perfect and the rooftop garden view from our room was an added and very much appreciated bonus!

However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our reservation had been canceled. There was no explanation, no prior notification, no phone call, and no email nothing. After a long flight, with three tired kids and no place to stay, this was incredibly stressful and unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was the lack of professionalism and empathy from the manager, Stacey. She was rude, dismissive, and offered no help or solutions. There was no attempt to accommodate us or even show basic understanding of the situation we were in. To make matters worse, due to the cherry blossom festival and a convention happening at the time, there were no available hotels nearby. We were left scrambling to find last-minute accommodations with exhausted children, completely on our own. The complete lack of communication and customer care is unacceptable. Canceling a reservation without notifying a guest is already bad enough, but the way this situation was handled made it far worse. This experience has completely turned me off from ever booking with this hotel ever again.

Standard hotel worked well budget wise and is in the heart of the city

Large room, very clean. Very comfortable bed. Full kitchen, though we only used the fridge and microwave. Great location - $10-20 Uber to everywhere. Or walk around (walk to the mall is downhill) and then Uber back! Good breakfast, including scrambled egg and bacon or sausage, pastries a little boring. Good happy hour 4-6pm. Many restaurants all levels close by Be aware that many room face the inner courtyard, and the surrounding buildings (incl the Marriott across the street) are pretty tall. So don't expect a view in most cases (but it doesn't matter....). It's not cheap to stay here, but nowhere in the city center is. This place is great value given its central location and easy access everywhere. 24 hour Fitness center is on the 13th floor, users dropping weights at all hours, VERY audible late at night below on 12th floor - avoid this floor (we moved)! Other floors fine

We enjoyed our stay. Great location right on the corner from the Metro station. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and breakfast was on par with other hotel breakfasts. The only thing that would have made the stay better was the option to have a rollaway bed. Otherwise, we would stay here again.

My stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Washington DC Downtown/Convention Center was a very pleasant, relaxing, and well accommodated experience. The hotel is well maintained, has an upscale appeal, and managed by a very attentive and welcoming staff. I have no real complaints. The only thing I would bring the hotels attention to is the functionality of the wifi, as it was hit and miss at times. Otherwise, the stay was an excellent one and I would definitely stay at this exact location again. The location is well situated and a short distance from all the downtown tourist sites and downtown nightlife. The location was safe and secure in a neighborhood I did not mind walking around in. I highly recommend this hotel and location for anyone visiting Washington DC.

Price for parking. The set up for breakfast was actual awful. Needs to be re-done to accommodate the large amt of hotel guest- chaos. Need to configure layout to allow better movement and more distant serving stations. Just to get coffee took forever.

although we reserved for five guest, there were only three towels in the room. There was only two bottles of water! When I asked for more bottles at least equal to number of guests, they told me that macimum number of bottles for room is only two! If this is the case, why do they charge more as number of guests increase! This not fair at all. Also parking staff especially on 13th of August morning was terrible! They were rude snd not ftiendly. Staff was acting like buncb of buddies talking laıdly in different language other than English or spanish among themselves making guests feeling akward. One of the parking staff was beeping while I was loafing my car. He was seeing exactly what I was doing and despite that he was beeping. Whole staff was not proffessional. They were bunch of people brought at loe cost and not polite just msking guests feeling terrible. I think they use Marriot name but not providing proper service. I will never go there again.

Upon arrival we were directed by outside service workers(valet ) to drive around building and check in. Unfortunately we attempted to check in at wrong location. I walked across street and checked in to correct location. My wife who was traveling with me had wait for valet at wrong location to retrieve vehicle and baggage so she could join me at the correct location. After checking in there was no internet and television in main living area and bedroom were not working due to internet. I called front desk who told me they would submit request to internet provider as well as maintenance. Maintenance came to room to troubleshoot issue with no results. Long story short we had no internet or television throughout our entire stay. When I checked out I made front desk aware again the issue. Internet and televisions ( not receiving signal) were still not working upon departure. Very interesting trip to say the least. Will not revisit.

We had a one night stay and it was nice to have breakfast the next day. The room was spacial and great, we had a kind kitchennette. However, the bathroom had an odor like plumbing issues but it was not too bad since it was just for one night. Staff was friendly too.

We spent four nights at this hotel. This was a nice hotel for our stay. The room was clean, spacious and included a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. Our only critique is the lack of towel bars in the bathroom and the sofa could use a good deep cleaning. The location was good. There is a little bit of a hike to get to transportation such as the Metro. We would stay here again.

The food in the restaurant is standard hotel variety and could be a bit better but it served its purpose (you can tell they really try there but its almost like they probably don't ask people if its good lol -- tried and tried to find something good and only had one hit) They have breakfast which is a bit lackluster but it's free and does the job (should really think about adding a soda machine as well) Walking wise -- its a few LONG but walkable blocks to popular tourist sites like the Smithsonian and National Archives (if you're not a walk -- a cab or uber ride is just minutes away) Super happy with the stay

The only negative would need the need to pull back on the air freshener or scented cleaners. It was a bit much and could be an issue for guests with respiratory issues. We did love though a would stay there again for sure!

About 20 minutes away from monument and surrounding restaurants and sites

When we arrive I immediately tried to open the auto shades in the room and they would not open. We finally got one to work. Could not see out of the room, room was dark and I am a person that needs light. I called the front desk, 2 people did arrived, they could not get them to work and said they would be back later. I had an event and left the room but had told them to please feel free to come back and fix the issue so I would have a view later that evening. When I returned they still did not work and never saw another person before we checked out. I could have been in a large closet with the same view. Thanks

The interior is modern. The rooms are a nice size with all amenities that are needed. Great location to downtown DC and close to the universities as well. Only thing that we didn’t like was at the valet parking was full and we had to find parking on the street a couple blocks away. Breakfast was delicious.

The carpet needs cleaning really bad. The floor should be mopped. It’s terrible walking on the room floors.
