Fine to stay for a couple of days, would not return again. Location was the best part. The rooms are spacious, but not the cleanest. Stayed three nights and room was never cleaned either. Some staff were friendly, others were not. Received sighs and annoyed looks just approaching the desk for a question. Would not recommend.

First arrived at hotel and checked in. Went to enter our room to find other people in there. They double booked our room. We then moved rooms. We got to the room and it was hot. We set the AC and went sight seeing. When we returned the room was still hot. We then had to switch rooms again. Now saying all that, the staff was amazing in rectifying the situation.

This hotel is located in downtown Washington, D.C. with a secured underground parking garage at a rate of approximately $50.00 per day plus applicable tax. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, and the complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of food and beverages. My friends and I had a great visit admiring the cherry blossom trees at their peak bloomage during the last weekend of March 2025. We were pleased with our stay.

My family had a great stay at Residence Inn by Marriott, it’s located in a quiet street and close to Dupont Circle Metro Station (just 5-6 minutes walk). It’s close to downtown DC (3 stations to The Triangle Federal Station), The White House, Capital Building, and Ronald Reagan Airport (6 miles). Staffs are very friendly, they greeted us with a smile when we showed up for breakfast. Breakfast was changed every day. I highly recommend this hotel when you are in DC.

The bed in our room definitely was not a queen as was advertised in the booking. Also, I was not happy with the ongoing renovation starting at 8 am, in the room above us every morning. We were there for a vacation and were not able to enjoy sleeping in due to all the noise.

Really good location. Cleaning staff was actually nice. The rooms are old with finishes falling apart. Carpets and couches have stains. Beds advertised as Queen are actually Full size. One of the rooms had cockroaches in the bathroom and the kitchen resulting in us switching rooms in the middle of the night. The front desk staff seemed surprised to hear that (but not really).

Very good location Literally the worst hotel experience I've ever had. When I checked in the receptionist immediately started questioning what I did for a living. She did not ask this of the man behind me. I was unaware that a woman can't travel alone without being questioned. I grabbed dinner and there were two men outside the door doing drugs. The security guard made a snide comment about me to another guest (for context I'm almost 60 so unsure what the deal was). The hotel is rundown, stains on the carpet, wall paper coming off walls, etc. They also failed to mention there was construction going on. I had a conference call and literally couldn't hear. It's mentioned in other reviews that it smells like cigarette smoke, it does! This place was truly terrible. I write this to caution others (especially single women) from staying there. I would have never though a Marriott property could be this bad.

The room was a bit worn but everything was functional. The service was good with supplies and towels being replenished as needed even though sometimes we had to call for them to come. However, it was obvious that they are not doing a deep clean of the rooms, hardly ever. The carpet felt sticky with years of grime, it was that bad. Overall, I recommend this Residence Inn. The staff are really exceptional and if you appreciate getting friendly assistance then this would be a good stay for you.

rooms were spacious when first checking in we got a room that I did not pay for after a hour was finally put in the correct room, the room was paid in full before we arrived and I was still over charged for parking(supposed to be $50 I was charged $100), was charged several different times different prices from$218-$440 which messed my card up for the rest of my trip. after calling twice and telling me they would call me back I have still not received a call back. wont be staying here when I’m back in town…

There was a broken light on the headboard when we got into the room, and I hit my head on it twice because, well, it’s on the headboard. The room was not clean and had a smell, the light fixture in the bathroom didn’t work, and the remote control didn’t work. A disappointing experience for the money I paid.

The location of this hotel is wonderful, but the interior truly needs to be remodeled. The carpet in my room was very old with worn spots, the bed not very comfortable with old pillow that were not firm. In the bathtub the drain stopper was broke. My biggest concern was that the air conditioner was so noisy and loud that it actually kept me up at night, not being able to enjoy my rest. Also to get ice for the room you had to take a bucket down to the lobby frontdesk to be filled. I will probably not stay at this property again.

The layout of the elevators makes getting to the garage somewhat of a nuisance, especially when the one elevator that goes to the garage has issues (which happened multiple times during my stay).

Location is great, with plenty of nearby dining and shopping opportunities (including an excellent bookstore). The room was large. We had a suite advertised as sleeping 4 with a queen in a bedroom and a sofa “bed” in the main area. I gave my daughter the queen and took the sofa. This was literally the worst sofabed I’ve ever slept on (and unfortunately I’ve slept on quite a few). Right as we got to our room after we checked in, the desk clerk brought an armful of linens and pillows and I had to make the bed myself. There was no mattress pad (I asked for one because the mattress was kinda stained and gross-looking, but they had none). The springs were so shot that my back went straight to the support bar; I ended up putting the couch cushions on the floor and the mattress on top of that (which was surprisingly comfortable, if a bit inconvenient). We stayed 4 nights and never had housekeeping service (there seemed to be only a lone, overworked housekeeper, at least for our floor. She was very nice when I asked for more shampoo. We didn’t really need housekeeping, but it was a bit surprising to never get it. The refrigerator was loud. Not like, “oh, that’s a bit loud” loud; it was so loud we had to raise our voices to be heard when it kicked on. Breakfast was okay. A little more than continental, but short of bacon and scrambled eggs.

Whether you are there for fun or hard times, I can assure you the staff is there to serve you with true servant hearts. I imagine they care about every single guest and want to make the stay as wonderful as it can be regardless of your circumstances. They are also very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and can assist you with directions and suggestions very easily. If I ever go back with my own husband and children, I can easily say I would pick this hotel. I felt safe (small town Idaho gal) in a big city, the hotel was clean, and the staff was simply amazing.

The 1bdr suite provides a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, which is very convenient for a longer stay. It also had a nice computer desk for working. However, the particular room I was in had a bathroom that was in desparate need of a remodel. The toilet sounded like a 747 coming in for a landing when you flushed and the shower was so old I didnt want to step in it.

Wasn’t worth the price I paid. Booked a 2 bedroom, full kitchen room - 1 of the showers was inoperable because it only produced scolding hot water. The sink in the other bathroom ran for an hour until someone from the front desk came and shut the water off under the sink. The television in the shared sitting area didn’t work.

We really enjoyed the 7 nights we spent here while sightseeing. The complimentary breakfast was better than most hotels we've stayed at. Our room was nice and clean. Enjoyed using the little kitchenette. There's a small market just a few doors down from the hotel. A nice vibe on the street with fun restaurants and lots of people walking around. I felt safe going out in the evening. Loved having a CVS just around the corner and the Metro station 5 minute walk away. I'm glad we chose this hotel for our trip. Even though the outside photo doesn't look like much, our experience was all thumbs up!

Consistently a great place to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great location. The underground parking garage is small and a bit tricky to navigate.

What a pleasant surprise for the occasional traveler expecting the norm of a "hotel" in a downtown area of a city. Great service all around, very clean, nice area for getting to city sites, local restaurants are good, small market within one minute walk, pharmacy within 5 minute walk and most important it is relatively quiet. Will definitely stay again!

We stayed here for a recent family vacation trip to D.C. The check in staff was very welcoming and helpful. Parking is underground with the entrance to the immediate left of the front doors. The parking garage was well-lit and immaculate. We had no problem getting a luggage cart and never had to wait for the elevators, even though the hotel seemed full with guests over the 4th of July. On Monday-Thursdays, the hotel hosts a free light dinner which was wonderful. The breakfasts were fantastic with a lot of variety. Our hotel room was very large and spacious. I had room to practice my yoga without restriction or being in my family's way. Housekeeping kept our room spotless. I did laundry there one evening, and the machines are front-loading and had the time of each cycle posted on the wall so I could set a timer. The surrounding neighborhood is safe and we had a fantastic Thai/Vietnamese dinner just across the street. Several coffee shops are within a stone's throw. It is about 3 blocks from the Metro entrance. We arrived at the hotel around 6:00 pm on a hot night, and we were too tired to travel outside of the immediate area. We went on a walk down "Embassy Row" which begins just around the block with the Polish Embassy. It was fascinating to see all the embassies and architectural styles. A very safe area. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next family trip-- it was an excellent experience!

The hotel room was great, but coming in initially and being told I could not check in because the computer was down was a bit annoying. Thankfully, they managed to work around it and didn’t have to wait too long to get us settled. The rest of the stay was great!

This hotel is in a great location--easy access to metro and within walking distance of many good restaurants. The breakfast included many items--hot and cold. Food was fine, but nothing fabulous. Our suite was very large and comfortable, but they didn't have a rollaway bed which we would've liked. Staff seemed friendly and accommodating.

Loved the area! Loved the hotel! If I had to say something negative, it would be the additional price to park the car. For two nights, the parking was around $50. Other than paying extra to park, Awesome hotel!

To a person, that staff was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for the 3 of us (couple + adult child) -- comfortable and plenty of space. Our room was on the P Street side and a bit noisy, even though we were on the 9th floor, but not terribly so. The free breakfast was great, and well-stocked. Being so close to Dupont Circle was perfect for eating and for access to public transportation.

The front dest attendant was not very helpful, she seemed to want to say no to every thing i asked or make up a reason why she couldn't help me. She didn't seem to enjoy her job. i have rented from this hotel and it is usually great but i had a bad experience this time. The tub and toilet were stopped up and the floor of the tub was slippery and i fell. bruised my arm and bottom.

Normally I love a Marriott product - they are the best hotels. This Residence Inn was good, but not great in the area of housekeeping. I could tell our bathroom sink didn't get cleaned properly for our entire five nights. One night they knocked on our door with a baby crib that we didn't order and it was quite late. Thankfully we were still up, but we easily could have been asleep and that would have been annoying. The layout of the room doesn't quite make sense. The only bathroom is inside the separate bedroom. That means if someone is using the pull-out bed in the living area, they have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. Dupont Circle area is wonderful, of course, and the hotel is quite convenient to lots of great food and the Metro.

The room was advertised on hotels.com as a king, however once getting to the hotel we were told that the hotel has NO king size rooms. Point blank, it was falsely advertised. When we called down for more blankets we were told that they were all sold out, so our guests in the pull out bed had to use towels. Very inconvenient.

It was a pleasant stay. The room was clean, the staff was VERY friendly, and breakfast was warm with many options. The only complaint I have is how expensive parking was, it almost negated the cost of the hotel. I may not have stayed there, or at least compared hotels more closely, had I known the price.

The staff was friendly and over accommodating which was an absolute plus. The room was gorgeous, clean and inviting. The area was great for food and Starbucks, and was local to all of the hotspots of DC. The only complaint is, if you are light sleeper like myself, request to not have a room located at the front of the hotel. I did not get any sleep because of the late night partiers who yelled all night, the taxi drivers, and the EMS sirens.

Pretty much ideal for the two of us - comfortable queen-size bed, spacious room with big desk, sofa (converts to another bed), kitchenette. Good breakfast, and even sausage hoagies Tuesday evening when we arrived. The room was reasonably quiet and we slept well. Nice shower. The location was perfect for us - near a conference I was attending, easy walk to Metro. The surrounding neighborhoods are really lovely.
